Man oh man, where do I start?! Do I start at the $15 appetizer of ricotta and two meatballs? The, odd but also friendly customer service? After learning about this place a year ago, this past Mother's Day I finally gave them a try. Now as per all my Italian restaurant reviews here in Los Angeles, I've always said that as an Italian American from New York City, I am very picky and take my Italian food very serious. And unfortunately, a lot of places have disappointed me more than not. My first impression, I did like the customer service by the hostesses. The young lady who was our server started a little rough, with her face expressions and her not so friendliness. But throughout the duration of dinner ended up being fantastic. I guess management was there, but did some half ass walking around to the tables trying to help. Nothing special, did not even introduce themselves or do anything special for Mother's Day for tables. My party was large, and they were able to set us up in a nice space with a nice table. Which was nice. The interior is really sweet, really cute and warm. Beautiful vibe overall. The food I will say was out of this world. Super surprising once again having been disappointed after a few years of me being Los Angeles. Everything my family ordered was great. I made sure to try everyone's dish lol everything I put in my mouth was fantastic. The cost of everything was as expected. Reasonable but there were a few items of course I thought were overpriced. Like I mentioned earlier they have an appetizer of a plate of ricotta with meatballs. Ended up being two meatballs with probably not housemaid ricotta cheese. That screamed LA to me. But nonetheless, everything was delicious. Everyone in my large family enjoyed everything they ordered. I highly recommend them for a fantastic meal, and a beautiful setting whether for a date or hang out with friends. Neighborhood parking is decent and they do offer valet parking as well. I know I'll be back sooner than later, definitely a lot of times. For I am curious if their food is always good or if they just brought in the big guns for Mother's Day.

We found out about this spot through a YouTube video and had to come check it out. I saw that they do reservations online so definitely check those out if you are planning ahead, but we came last minute hoping for the best! Parking is pretty tough on this busy intersection but we did get a table right away even on a Saturday at lunchtime. It's a pretty small place inside, but they do have some outdoor seating in their parking lot. Service was really great and they were so sweet to bring coloring pages and crayons to keep our little ones busy. We started off with the cheesy garlic bread with marinara. It may look normal, but it was all the carby cheesy goodness you would want. It was almost like having a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup... So comforting! Then we shared the pasta a limone and the garlic butter shrimp. The sauce on the pasta was amazing, perfect to dip your garlic shrimp in! The pasta doesn't have any protein in it if you order it by itself, hence our side of shrimp, but I didn't feel like I needed it. The handmade pasta is well cooked. It seems like a small portion, but because it's so rich, it's quite filling. Would definitely recommend the pasta and the cheese sticks if you come here!

Anniversary night at Sunday Gravy! The food was amazing, the shrimp and grits are savory and cheesy with an unexpected kick and I loved every bite. The Ragu beef has a tasty bite to the sauce and the beef is tender. The service is absolutely awesome. From being seated by a very happy young lady at the front, to our server Fernando, the assistant manager Tierra, to the owner Tom. Such a vibe the entire time we dined in. The music and the overall atmosphere.... Chef's Kiss!!! Thank you for treating your customers so well. Cheers!!

Sunday Gravy has been on our list for awhile after we passed by, trying to walk-in but it required 1 hour wait which got us intrigued. So we came back with reservation and one downside was we still had to wait for good almost 15mins post our appointment time to be seated. It's a cute thematic venue with spacious outdoor patio available. Their menu selection was pretty rich and occasionally they served off-menu offerings. We went for their crowd's top-picks, the Fusilli A La Vodka and Meatballs & Ricotta. The pasta was cooked al dente in nice creamy vodka sauce, which would even be better if slightly less sweet for my liking. My top reco would certainly be the meatballs with ricotta. Portion was filling with rich and luscious meatballs perfectly paired with ricotta and tomato-based sauce. The toasted focaccia certainly elevated the overall dish even more and we felt each element on this plate just made awesome group together!

Came to this spot for dinner for four people. We had a reservation and were sat down quickly. Highly suggested making a reservation as this place becomes very busy! The inside has limited seating and is not big party friendly. Maybe more small to medium parties. They do have minimal outside seating as well! The food is so good!! Definitely a hidden gem tucked away in Inglewood! The Cesar salad was a bit too salty for my liking, but still had great flavor. You were able to taste the anchovies in the salad I personally am not a fan of vodka pasta BUT I will say this pasta was not watery, had great flavor, and tasted like pasta and not just tomato sauce! The pasta noodles were cooked perfectly They have options of wines and nonalcoholic options. During dinner time they dimmed the lights to a light red which did make it slightly hard to see the color of the food. The service was attentive and kind always making sure we had water and cleared empty dishes. Overall great Italian place if you love Italian food! Will come again and recommend to friends!

Came in from the hype on TikTok Overall experience was good! We were able to get seated right away, I did notice that it was getting super busy closer to 5:30pm. First off, let's start with the parking... valet is $10 in the front, which they move your car to the neighborhood area behind it. You can save yourself that by parking yourself if you get lucky, or what I did was parked across the street. There is no on site parking since they put 5 tables in their parking lot stalls. Next the wait time for the food, Normal wait time, everything came out perfect timing. The food, was good! Out of the two pastas I really liked that ragu, had a great amount of meat and the pasta was cooked to my preference perfectly, I don't like it al dente. If you like lemon, you'll definitely love their a limone, has a good small spice. The Fried Brussel sprouts, super good in the beginning but they weren't as crispy as I would have liked, maybe too much sauce that made it soggy and a tad too much lemon. The Caesar salad, not going to lie it was pretty good, definitely could be more zesty but I think that could've been fixed by asking for more dressing? The staff is friendly, and on top of attending every table! I'll be back to try out the vodka pasta and mozzarella sticks another time

If you're on the fence about ordering the bread pudding, let me help you decide. ORDER IT! So good! The a limone & bolognese pastas were amazing as well!

Cute little restaurant tucked away in Inglewood! Feels very homey and the service was exceptional. Every server was very friendly and fun to interact with. We ordered the cheesy garlic bread and hot dipped chicken parm sando. Both were pretty good!

So been following this spot for a while and we were craving Italian so we decided to drive over and try it. Let me just say, if you're looking for no frills, great service and amazing food, Check this spot out!!! We had the Cesar salad (they do a Calabrian twist on the dressing) which was really tasty!!! We also ordered the mozzarella sticks, we did the cheese pull and everything and they were delicious!! My husband ordered lasagna which was fabulous and I ordered the vodka sauce pasta, also very good! Everything we ordered tasted fresh n homemade! The eatery is small inside but very clean and they also have a few outside tables, which we opted for. Our server was a sweet young girl, who continually checked on us, answered questions we had regarding the menu and made sure we were enjoying our food and continually making sure our water glasses were full. Top notch on food and service! My only real negative is they do not have ice and their non-alcohol drink selection is very limited however, the sweet server offered to get me a chilled glass for my water, she truly was the nicest. Also, parking, when we arrived their small private lot was closed, so we had to find street parking which is limited. However this would not stop us from returning ... I already have planned what I want to order next. Do not hesitate on this spot, definitely give them a try!!!

I've been seeing Sunday Gravy all over my Instagram feed, so I finally pulled up for lunch -- and man, I'm glad I did. This place is tucked away near La Brea and Centinela, and it feels like one of those neighborhood gems you almost don't want to tell people about. The vibe is super casual and homey. Nothing pretentious, just good energy. The staff? Straight up awesome. Everyone was smiling, and that kind of hospitality sets the tone before the food even hits the table. I started with the Caesar salad and wow... this isn't your basic Caesar. It's bold, cheesy, rich, and has a nice kick to it. Honestly, they might've ruined Caesar salads for me because now I only want it like this. The chicken parm was legit -- crispy on the outside, great flavor, not soggy at all. The bolognese was another standout: super rich and creamy, and the pasta tasted homemade with that perfect texture you don't get from boxed noodles. And the garlic bread? Fluffy, airy inside, crunchy outside... dangerous. Also, excuse my pictures -- they suck because I was already halfway into the food before I even thought about taking them lol. That should tell you everything. I almost feel bad I came for lunch without my wife because she would've loved this spot. Definitely bringing her back. I'm also bringing my compadre next time so we can order a bunch of stuff and share -- there's too much on the menu I still want to try. Great place, great food, great people, and prices that don't hurt. It's Wednesday, but this place really made it feel like Sunday.

Had a reservation so we were seated promptly when our entire table arrived. The waitress was really nice and made us laugh through our entire ordering process it really gave that "it's a family" feel! We had the family meal which came with garlic bread, two salads, and 3 pastas for about 85 dollars which was definitely a bang for you buck especially with 4 people. The salad was good you could really taste the anchovy flavor in the Caesar salad, it may have been a little too salty for some but I enjoyed the overall flavor. The vodka sauce was ok, it definitely was not one of my favorite sauces that i've had in the LA area and it was a bit too al dente for my taste but not bad. The Bolognese was delicious and pasta was cooked well and not too al dente. Lasagna was good, i've never been blown away by any lasagna that i've had but I appreciated it being a beef based sauce for any people that don't consume pork. Overall a pleasant experience and I would come back again if i'm ever in the area.

such a cute neighborhood spot in inglewood! the interior is very charming and they took a cute polaroid of us. the staff were also really friendly. i definitely liked the food here. everything was flavorful and hearty. i would definitely recommend trying it! there isn't a lot of parking though so that could be difficult.

Sunday Gravy is definitely a spot where you'll want a reservation--otherwise expect a long wait. Even with one, we still ended up waiting about 20 minutes past our reservation time. It's technically in Inglewood but more in the Ladera Heights area, which is a nicer, quieter part. We went with the family special (2 salads, 3 pastas, and cheesy garlic bread) and also ordered chicken parm and a chicken cutlet. For salads, we tried the Caesar and the citrus beet--both were solid. For pasta, we had the fettuccine Alfredo, vodka, and bolognese, and those were definitely the highlights. The cheesy garlic bread was a bit underwhelming, and they had already sold out of mozzarella sticks and wings, which was disappointing. On the bright side, the bread pudding was really good and a great way to end the meal. Overall, some hits and some misses, but the salad, pasta and dessert stood out the most.

There's a real chew here--a springy, structured bite that gives just enough resistance before yielding. It's deeply satisfying and makes every dish feel more intentional. The cappelloni shows it off best: that almost-famous sauce wraps around each piece, but the pasta holds its own, so you get that perfect balance of silky and structured. Same with the tangiello--the meat sauce tastes like it's been simmering for days, rich and layered, but the noodles never get lost because that chew carries through. The Caesar isn't an afterthought either. It's got a subtle spicy kick that wakes everything up, and if you add chicken, it's done right--well-seasoned, nicely grilled, juicy with a bit of char. It turns a classic into something you actually remember. Dinner is where things go a little heartier, and the pork chop delivers. Fall-off-the-bone tender, but still full of flavor--not just soft for the sake of it. Jame just gets the fundamentals right, then pushes a little further. My friend and I chose to start our meals with the Meatballs and Brussels Sprouts. Being a Brussels Sprouts fan, I really enjoyed their roasted crispy Brussels sprouts that were tossed in schiaffoni dressing and finished with sesame. Equal in deliciousness were their Meatballs. The Meatballs were tender, rich and saucy. These starters were a great way to kick off our meal here. For our mains, we got their Paccheri Lisci and Tonnarelli. The Paccheri Lisci had a bit of a spicy kick to it. It has spicy pork sausage sugo, fennel, sage and pecorino. It was meaty and flavorful. The Tonnarelli or Cacio e Pepe contrasted nicely with the Paccheri Lisci. This pasta dish was simple, sharp and peppery. This was more bold versus saucy. Last but not least we had some cookies for dessert. I loved the fresh baked snickerdoodle and chocolate chip cookies. It was a sweet and perfect ending to the meal here. Overall, I really enjoyed dining at Jame Enoteca. I am now looking forward to trying out their sister restaurant Jame Taqueria down the street.

I noticed that there were plenty of tables empty inside and decided to ask the hostess if my table is ready yet. Right away she realized it was ready and asked someone to walk me in. We walked up to a semi cleaned table that had clear leftover crumbs on it, which the hostess very quickly wiped it away with her hands.... Everything took forever to come out. We didn't eat until at least 45mjn i after ordering... * Heirloom tomato: basic, it was ok. Nothing to write home about * Black Mediterranean mussels: best dish of the night. Mussels were plump and juicy. Broth was very flavorful * bolognese pasta: lukewarm, tasted like it's been sitting out for awhile. portion size was smaller than other places. Some of the noodles were clumped together and undercooked * Braised Short Rib Marsala: it was sooo salty. The sweet peas were old and fibrous. I had to spit out. It was honest such a disappointing experience. I have loved all other North Italia locations I've dined at but this one was the worst. Service and kitchen is extremely slow. If you're anywhere near Gardena and craving truly outstanding Italian food, do yourself a favor and…read morehead straight to Lomeli's. This place is the definition of a hidden gem. I've eaten fettuccine Alfredo at Italian restaurants all over, and I can say without hesitation that Lomeli's makes the best I've ever had. It's my go‑to dish everywhere I go, and nothing compares to the rich, creamy perfection they serve here. My wife ordered the spinach zucchini, and she absolutely loved it. Fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right--she couldn't stop talking about it. The service deserves its own spotlight. Nancy and Adam were outstanding--warm, attentive, and genuinely kind people who make you feel like family the moment you sit down. Restaurants can teach technique, but they can't teach heart, and Lomeli's has it in abundance. And then there's the ambience. If you enjoy the timeless voices of Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, and Nat King Cole, you're in for a treat. Their music fills the room and creates the perfect backdrop for an Italian meal. It's cozy, nostalgic, and effortlessly charming--exactly the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer. In short: Lomeli's is everything you want in a neighborhood Italian restaurant and more. Incredible food, wonderful people, and an ambience that feels like a warm embrace. You will not regret giving this place a try. Sorry, I couldn't wait to take a picture of the food. I ate it before I remembered that I needed to take a picture. It was so good.

I had their Alfredo and I gobbled it up. They actually have a combo set where you get a free drink (which includes wine), salad, and a dessert. I did not like their ice cream but maybe it's because I got the wrong one. Ambiance (4/5): On the outside you're in Gardena, but once inside you're transported to little Italy with an American twist. I thought it was funny to see a little candy display in the front but if it works for them who am I to judge? The restaurant is intimate but it feels familial. Great place to grab a quick lunch, or have a casual family dinner. Service (4/5): On a busy night expect a wait. We had to wave over our waitress a couple times to get some items for our party. Price (5/5): For all the food I consumed, this was a GREAT DEAL! If you don't want to break the bank for some good Italian food, Lomeli's is the place.

We went in for Monday pasta they advertise and were told still working on menu. Should be ready by 6 was what we were told. We spent $100 on drinks and 2 appetizers. Me and my fiancé when we tried ordering pasta were told we could not because we ordered from happy hour menu. We then left and ate somewhere else. Thought it was pretty crazy to just dismiss us.

Had the place to myself. Service was amazing and very good looking. Ordered fettuccine Alfredo added shrimp. He tossed it in that huge cheese bowl. Melted the cheese into the noodles in front of me. Nice touch. Full bar. DRINKS! Amazing drinks. Got a fair buzz. The bean there done that (their version of the famous espresso martini!) delicious and woke me up. Just what I needed for my foggy brain. Fun cute, quaint, charming and on a corner of a busy street. I parked by the houses not sure if there's any other place to park (tight squeeze.) They have outside and inside places to sit. Televisions available. Nice breeze in Culver City my first time in this city driving around lead me here. Sometimes you just need a good drive to free your mind. Take care of your mental health. Treat yourself.

My sister and I came in without reservations around 8pm and they sat us inside on the counter after 10 minutes of waiting. They were pretty full for table dining. We ordered: Steak Tartare (4/5) - Bread was perfectly oiled & crispy on the outside and chewy in the inside. The tonnato was very umami and made the dish but the steak itself was alright. Spicy Pomodoro (3.5/5) - This didn't hit as hard for me; I wished it was more spicy and I didn't taste any truffle. Pasta itself was perfectly al dente. Sweet Corn Agnolotti (5/5) - This was delish! Make sure to get equal parts of the pasta, sauce, corn, and crème fraiche (like a light sour cream) to get that flavor explosion. Creme was a little sour, corn was sweet, and the agnolotti was salty; perfect bite fr. My only negative is that this dish was too small for $28 :(. Blood Orange Pavlova (4/5) - A truly layered dessert because if you ate the sorbet by itself, it would be too sour but otherwise, another flavor explosion. The pavlova was thick and you really have to jam your spoon in to break the pieces apart. Service was friendly and fast! Overall, I'd come back!
