This place isn't cheap but the food is pretty tasty. I got the old school breakfast. The eggs were obviously free range orange yolk and not store bought yellow yolk eggs. The biscuit was awesome. My only complaint was the vicious potatoes were lame. I thought they were going to be something special. Nope just plain cut up chunks of deep fried potatoes looked like frozen bagged potatoes. I should've got the grits. Oh yeah, there's quite a line to get in too. read more

I didn't like the Vicious Biscuit. But, I didn't take any stars off because that is more about me than the restaurant. I went in with high expectations. I really shouldn't do that. I am usually disappointed when I do. This was no different. It really wasn't due to anything other than my expectations. Being that we are in the lowcountry of South Carolina, I expected a southern biscuit place with biscuits and biscuit sandwiches that would be familiar and at a fair price. The menu items suggest it would be southern fare: sausage gravy, fried green tomatoes, shrimp, pulled pork, etc. Vicious Biscuit was clean and has a friendly staff. There is a nice jam and jelly bar for those who just order a plain biscuit. There was a good sized line and the staff moved it through pretty quickly, even as there were people who waited until they got to the register to decide what it was they wanted. The setup is like a fast food place. We waited in line and the person received our order. When the food was ready a server hunted us down and delivered our order. We received a card to place on the table with our order number. One of the downsides is they ask for a tip when one pays (it's on the screen for you ti fill out before your bill is totaled). I have no idea how the service is going to be and we didn't have a waiter or waitress, so I am guessing the tips get split and the person who does provide good service gets the same as the slacker. I don't like this system. I ordered biscuits and gravy. When it arrived it looked and tased nothing like I expected and it wasn't my taste. I don't necessarily blame the restaurant. The food was hot and seemed fresh. It just wasn't southern biscuits and gravy. The gravy was sparse and brown colored, the sausage chunks were almost as big as golf balls, and the biscuits were bready like a drop biscuit; not flaky like a southern biscuit. Also the the biscuits and the gravy were both a little sweet. Everything was perfect if that's what you were going for, It just isn't what I expected. My wife ordered the 'Mater. It's a fried green tomato, pimento cheese, and bacon jam. She also though hers was a bit sweet. Also, the jam is cold. That wasn't something she expected on a hot biscuit. I thought the prices were a bit high; especially for breakfast; even in Mount Pleasant. The two biscuits and coffee were $20. I can get the country fried steak biscuit at Page's for the less money and it's great. The All-Star Breakfast (two eggs, hash browns, meat, and a waffle) at Waffle House is about the same. I am sure they will do well. Some people seemed to like the style. It just isn't for me. read more

Brought out of town guests here for breakfast. I had the banana pudding which was a yummy biscuit with a caramelized top with bananas and a sauce. It was excellent, but you need to love sweet. Our friends both had a more typical breakfast of bacon and eggs. They could not stop raving about the tasty bacon and amazing biscuit. I will definitely visit again and again! read more

The crabcakes were the bomb! Fresh squeezed mimosas and apple jam finished it off! Glad to have this new place in town.

Wow!!! Can't think of anything negative to say, everything was very good. Of course the biscuits were delicious, the bloody Mary and the Mimosa were super delicious, the eggs looked like they were just off a farm, orangey yellow yolks. Really really loved it. The husband had crab hollandaise egg plate with fried green tomato Oooooh. Yes long lines but they keep it moving very well! yeah. Wait for food was minimal. Nice people. Can't wait to go back read more

Service is great and the line goes out the front door. Stood in line for about 10 minutes and waited about 20 for a dozen biscuits to go. Kept watching plate after plate go back with the biscuits uneaten. Got the biscuits home and they are so greasy and heavy that I understand why nobody at the restaurant was eating them. Don't see going back. read more

Y'all this place is awesome. Food is insane. Coffee is fresh. Staff is friendly. Place is clean. This is EXACTLY what this foodie town was missing. If you've ever been to Biscuit Head in Asheville then you will have a good frame of reference. That said, this is NOT a knockoff. Rather an expansion of a concept that stops with a "biscuit breakfast spot." In speaking with the owner, all ingredients used are farm to table. Everything is prepared same day and you can tell. The biscuits are delicious, the fried chicken (I had the Flame Thrower) was perfect, and the jalapeño infused sauce was so good I would put it in my cereal. To the owners of this fine establishment- good on you. Y'all nailed it. read more

We have been wanting to check this out for a while. That said we came five minutes before if opened and the line was into the parking lot! The biscuits were excellent, light and fluffy. We all tried different things and everyone was pleased. The quantities are huge which helps justify the price, that while they seem high for biscuits keep in mind that the biscuit is just the base.. there is a lot more to them! The reason I gave this four star is the atmosphere feels very tight and crowded.. it's hard to move around and be comfortable. I realize this is necessary to accommodate so many but it is frustrating. Overall I would recommend checking them out - especially as a fun thing to do with out of town guests - but try to come at non peak times.. read more

Very good loved the biscuits and bacon. Coffee wonderful too! Only drawback, very noisy.

Clean, modern, cafe-style ordering, high quality ingredients, delicious! Try the shrimp n grits.

This is now one of me and my wife's favorite breakfast places near Charleston, SC. This place has amazing biscuits and a wide variety of amazing breakfast plates. You have GOT to try this place out!!! We didn't wait very long at all for service, but if you have to, I promise it's worth every bit of it. read more

Pulled in from out of town and saw a long line - made us a bit hesitant, but we got out to join the line. Line moved quickly. Biscuits are huge (enough to share in my opinion) and delicious. We ordered 3 biscuits to share and several sides for our party of 5. We liked everything we ordered! read more

If I could give more start I would. They have a high counter in addition to the dining tables which accommodates single customers, even during the busy times. I have seen very few popular restaurants in Charleston add this to their seating design. Food is excellent quality and was served quickly, even during the busy Saturday morning rush. The employee taking my order was very helpful and explained that I could build my own biscuit.....Well that is customer service. Very easy! The menu items looked very good, but I was looking for something simpler for breakfast. The Barista here served my cappuccino with a smile. The staff was working really hard. I would return to try their specialty biscuits on the menu. For those parking, there is a nice sized lot, but I arrived in a rid share vehicle (RSV). Enjoy the tasty food and excellent service here. read more

The portion was massive! The quality was excellent! I believe it was 3 massive biscuits with a maple sausage gravy served almost to the rim. The freshness and quality of the biscuits show a passion these carb loading delights. The perfect place for you Sunday Brunch. read more

Unfortunate choice. I'm sure the food here is delicious and worth the wait, but my order was not great. I ordered the flame thrower, which looked great in the description but was overpowered by what I can only describe as a vinegar buffalo sauce. For the record, buffalo sauce is one of my least favorite flavors and therefore why my choice was unfortunate. I would recommend including the sauce in the description as I don't believe anyone reading Spicy Chicken breast would assume it would be doused in buffalo sauce. The others in my party enjoyed their meals, the kids waffles and bacon, the bird and the Belgian and an old school breakfast. Not sure I'll be back after our breakfast for four exceeded $80... read more

Just got done with our first visit here and I am absolutely blown away. This place is incredible from the service to the food. Best biscuit I've ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. The manager was fantastic with recommendations and incredible service. Anyone who hasn't been here needs to go. read more

If you're hungry and in the Charleston area, don't skip Vicious Biscuit! It's a cute, little restaurant where you order at the counter. They have lots and lots of biscuit dishes along with coffee drinks and alcohol too! It's clean with very friendly employees. I ordered the dish with a biscuit, potatoes, 2 sausages and egg. The sausage is on the sweet side and was really tasty. The biscuit was warm and soft, really good! My daughter ordered sausage gravy and biscuits with a side of grits and loved every bite. We will definitely return during our next visit to Charleston. read more

We had the oatmeal power bowl and the bird and the Belgian, amazing food, very quick service! Highly recommend.

This is my new favorite restaurant in town!! I had the flame thrower and it was hands down the best thing I've eaten since I moved to Charleston a year ago. The owner, Josh stopped by our table to make sure we enjoyed our meal and he couldn't have been nicer. Kudos to him and his team for putting together such an amazing place with incredible food made with high quality ingredients. Can't wait to go back!! read more

I had the most amazing experience at Vicious Biscuit! They are taking great precaution with COVID. Both my friend and I ordered the old school breakfasts. The potatoes were great-crispy on the outside and well seasoned! The biscuit was to die for!! I tried a few of the homemade jams and the apple pie was by far my favorite, you have to try it. The iced coffee was strong and smooth, a perfect addition to the meal. read more

Overdone. Too much and cold. Wanted to love it, but disappointed. Busy place and have to call ahead. Sometimes smaller quality is better.

It was great! I got the breakfast plate- all of it was delicious and the biscuit was fluffy & flavorful. My husband had the flamethrower& we both thought it was one of the best breakfast dishes of all time. Service was efficient and friendly. Can't wait to go back! read more

Very good breakfast. Fast service. Husband has flamethrower which he enjoyed and I had the ranchero. Ranchero is only vegetarian biscuit besides the butter and jam bar (which is cute) but it was delicious and close to universally appealing. read more

Very good! Got a crispy chicken biscuit and it was absolutely amazing. Great flavor. Cool merch and just a nice spot to eat some lunch. The menu had all kinds of stuff so I am excited to order different things as I go more often. read more

Good food. I had the Biscuits and gravy. Too big a portion for me. I'm used to good black pepper white gravy with sausage. This was too sweet for me and very little sausage and taste. Husband had eggs and biscuits, grits tasted like mashed potatoes he said. The jams were good. This is just our opinion, service was great, people very nice. Probably will not go back. read more

Really good breakfast, worth the wait. We enjoyed our morning treat. Good coffee too, very popular obviously as customers were coming and going all the time. read more

Leave your calorie counter in your car. This is definitely not fir the reign of heart. I had the Hopper with NC ham, two eggs on a HUGE biscuit. It did not disappoint. Have tried to go here on several occasions but line was out the door. Finally it was not overflowing and was able to experience the Biscuit. Really good breakfast and brunch spot. Food was in table by the time I got my drink. That was fast. If you've been thinking of trying this place and you are a lover of breakfast run, don't walk. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. read more

I wish I could give them ten stars!!!! FANTASTIC. Was recommended by a friend that lives in Mt Pleasant and I can't tell you how great it is! The sea biscuit is the absolute perfect combination of fried shrimp which were huge and coleslaw and yum yum sauce...and the biscuit was to die for. GREAT JOB VICIOUS! Wishing you continued success. read more

Started the day with a cocktail and the vicious biscuit. The gang had the the crab Benny, the ranchero, and the Babe. We paired those with a carafe of mimosa. The butter and jam self serve bar was an extra treat with in house recipes. With the option of indoor/outdoor seating, speedy service, and a great staff. This will be a go to breakfast/brunch place for days to come. read more

Delish. Loved the Benedict. Would recommend. I hate that this has to be 85 characters. It was really good that was all.

Amazing! Stopped here based on the previous review and we were not disappointed. They had something to make everyone happy. We are frequent Charleston visitors and have definitely added this to our list of places to come EVERY time we are here. Great wait staff- stellar service. Amazing food! read more

Such a wonderful place! Even with the long line, they were quick and efficient! The food was delicious. 10/10 would recommend.

I'm new to the biscuit world so I had to differ a bit to my wife's opinion. I personally have been on a hunt for the best biscuits and sausage gravy, and I must say these guys are currently the front runner. The gravy was nice and thick, full of tasty sausage with a hint of maple flavor. It was rather intense, and the portion was huge. My wife got a plain biscuit with ham and potatoes on the side. The ham was bananas, not sure where they got it but wow was it super tasty. The biscuit she liked, but stated the assorted jams and jellies could have been better. I tired a few and thought they were all good, but what do I know. She kept telling me they were good but she has had better. I would go back just for the sausage gravy. The menu has a bunch of cool things I'd love to try. We will probably be back when we visit the area again. As for the place itself it is clean and I am told always has a bit of a wait. We waited about 45 minutes in line so it was not to bad. The staff is all pleasant and very attentive. They are able to turn the tables very quickly so I can't see how the wait gets much worse. Defiantly worth giving a try if your in the area. read more

Not bad for a Biscuit. Plenty of food. Service could improve. You have to clean your own tables before sitting. More of a fast food atmosphere than a restaurant. read more
