Absolutely love this place! The vibe is warm, stylish, and chic without feeling cookie cutter. Everything was spotless, and from the moment we arrived the staff made the stay special. The valet was always quick and friendly, and the front desk team was consistently helpful, professional, and welcoming every time we needed something. We stayed in a Junior Suite and it was incredible. The views were great, the bed was a little soft but still cozy, and the bathroom stole the show. The freestanding tub inside the shower felt like a full spa experience and alone made the stay worth every penny. The rooftop bar Pandan was a fun spot too. Drinks leaned a little sweet and service could have been faster, but it was still worth visiting and much better than what used to be there. The restaurant on the grounds had plenty of options and everything we tried was delicious. The location is also fantastic with plenty of restaurants, shopping, and attractions nearby. I have stayed at a few different hotels in Chicago, and this one is by far my favorite.

Best ever club that I have been :.. we are full and yummy and ready to party or St. Patrick's Day. Hot and sexy and we're living our best life loving the vibe.

    Plenty of vanity space.

It definitely felt upscale and enjoyed our stay. To be honest it will probably not be a place we stay at again. It was a wedding venue so it was our place to stay while attending. Parking was expensive and you had to make sure to call for you car well in advance of any appointments. It will be a weekend memory we will hold close and I do recommend it. It was a once and a lifetime stay.

Stayed here this past weekend for my wife's birthday. We arrived at night and the hotel was difficult to locate and so was the valet. No signs and valet area was impossible to see with all the cars blocking. You have to basically block a lane of traffic if you want to valet your car and the staff is not always there. So be warned. I did call and email ahead of our stay to have some extra amenities sent up to the room on arrival to surprise my wife for her birthday and was assured by Florijan Matic | Director of Front Office that it would happen but it did not. When I asked about it at check in they had no notes of it or what I had ordered. Which was a big let down. We ended up just ordering room service instead that wasn't really great. Aside from that the rest of our stay was good. Staff was friendly and hotel was modern and clean. They are centrally located downtown and walking distance from many stores and tourist stops. Pros: -Downtown -Modern hotel with all the amenities -mini bar -large bathroom -comfy beds Cons: -Valet station needs help -Concierge / Amenities communication issues Still my wife thinks it deserves 4 stars I'm at a 3 but I'll give it 4

Found this hotel through a simple Google search and it was the best experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was perfect and spotless. This hotel also has a bar on a higher level that is nice for a nightcap. Great location, close to good food spots and clothing stores.

This is the third time we've stayed at the viceroy for a staycation. Everything is great the rooms are nice. Our room seemed like it was not inspected or finished properly. We didn't have the towels in the right places there were no robes or slippers, but overall very comfy bed and enjoyable room great view. Valet parking is 100% a rip off

I have not had the pleasure of staying at the Somerset/Viceroy Hotel but have heard great reviews from family friends. They mentioned that the rooms are cool and have really nice bathtubs so hopefully I'll get a chance to stay soon. I can speak for the restaurant though. The decor is very modern and chic. We managed to get a table on a Friday night during dinner and had two delicious drinks. The pretzel crusted calamari was tasty as well as the burrata with prosciutto and jam. We did laugh at how large the loaf of bread that came with it was. After dinner, we checked out the 16 feet long ice bar that was in the courtyard. It looked amazing and we ended up taking a shot in these super cool ice shot glasses. We also ordered one plain hot cocoa and one hot cocoa with Baileys and a Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese. It was super cozy sitting next to the fire and the blankets made it even cozier. So glad we decided to check out the limited time ice bar event!

Nice, but my name is not Jordan.

Nice people but this hotel is worn out. Furnishings in the room have the finished rubbed off of them and have a too strong 1970s vibe.

First time in Chicago and my wife selected this hotel. The rooms are small but so cozy and modern. The location is in walking distance of everything you need. There are a ton of restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance. People are constantly walking and jogging at all times of night so it's a pretty safe area. The staff here is amazing, they are so friendly and give great tips. One member stood out as soon as we arrived, his name is David. David gave us a ton of spots to go to and pointed us in the right direction. When you get here ask for him he'll take care of you. All in all this has been one of the best hotel experiences we've had and we will definitely use them again!!!! I highly, highly recommend this location.

My husband's company stayed here for a convention in town. I was here for pleasure. The hotel is very nicely renovated. The lobby, rooms, and restaurant are all beautiful. We were here in April so we never went up to the pool terrace on the 15th floor. Our room was on the 12th floor, facing the north. Our view was of the street and other buildings. The room had a nice bar in it with snacks, alcohol, water, coffee, and several other "amenities", such as a charger cord and base, as well as a "romance kit" (see pictures). The room was pretty small. That was the only negative thing about the room. The hotel is in a great location. Everything is within walking distance. I walked to Lake Michigan, a hair appointment, clothes shopping, and to all of the restaurants. The only negative thing about the location is when you're sitting outside in the front of the building. They have a nice terrace with chairs, umbrellas, heaters, etc. BUT, there is a lot of street noise. Constant sirens and horns honking. Not the hotel's fault, but something to be aware of. The other negative about the front terrace is there is CONSTANTLY homeless people coming up to you asking for food or money. I don't say this as a cold-hearted elitist. I work with the homeless back home. But when there's a group of 15 people eating dinner, or drinking, and talking business, and within an hour period more than 7 people come up to your group and interrupt your conversations, I think that's a bit much. The hotel staff could only ask them to leave if they came onto the terrace- onto the hotel property. Otherwise we would have to tell them we didn't have cash over and over, or just ignore them until they left us alone. I feel bad for them, but I honestly don't carry cash on me. And I honestly wanted to catch up with people I hadn't seen in a year. And it really was out of hand. Maybe in warmer weather we would have been sitting up on the terrace and not been bothered so much. Maybe the hotel should grow a privacy fence around the outside front terrace. But, for that reason, and the fact that you're paying top dollar for the rooms, I wouldn't stay here again. The service is excellent. Everyone was very nice, very helpful and kind and considerate. I really liked all of the employees. The valets, the front desk, the hostess, wait staff, and managers were all wonderful! The food and drinks were great too, but that's a separate review.

Most definitely recommend everything. Hubby and I ate at Somerset for Xmas brunch & decided to return for our staycation! The service was amazing from the lobby to the rooftop! Complimentary Prosecco and hot coco during happy hour! The room was spacious and beautiful. The ambiance was perfect for my aesthetics + great for sleeping in. The light blocking curtain really block the light out. We had such a good night we woke up at 2pm the next day lol. The steak tartare and breakfast at Somerset is amazing. I'll post a separate review for it. The fact that the restaurant is connected to the hotel & the rooftop is just a plus. Honestly you don't have to leave the hotel if you don't need to. A great plus is that it's close to a CVS for emergency, a coffee shop, and other shopping, plus more food next door! The entire hotel is an aesthetic you must capture when in town or staying in the city for a break. Follow me on social @damnthosesteaktacos to see my experience in reel time

Wow. I chose Viceroy for a staycation and it totally exceeded my expectations! My room was beautiful and clean. The rooftop pool can't be beat! The service was impeccable. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I just finished a five night stay at the Viceroy Hotel in Chicago. It was spectacular! From the moment you arrive until the very last moment before you depart this amazing staff treats you with exceptional hospitality. Professional, responsive and quick, and with a true attitude of people who care about you and your experience. The hotel itself is architecturally fascinating with a modern, daring, chill interior design. The colors are dramatic, with bold black and gold sprinkled with soft hues and even multi-colored room doors on each floor. Amenities are fitting of the five-star hotel it is and they're plentiful. The bath, the shower, the bedroom, and even the closets. Excellent gym and a great rooftop pool. The dining and bar scene is top notch and you can tell by guests that frequent them. Finally, the location in the city is superb right between River North and the Gold Coast, at the confluence of Rush and State streets. It's just a few blocks from the lakefront. This is five-star lodging that delivers on the promise of luxury!

So we sat there watching dozens of people get metal detected before going to the rooftop. So we were LATE to where we needed to go. Ordered $100 of room service. It was LATE so I called to cancel. Lady on the phone was rude, told me no and hung up on me mid sentence. I wasn't able to eat my share because well, it was LATE. Wife said her food simply wasn't good regardless. Something as simple as butter and jelly for the toast wasn't provided. Arrived back between meetings. Stood out front and in the lobby for over 15 minutes to try and give my keys to the valet attendant. No one was anywhere to be found. Wouldn't answer calls from the front desk. They finally took my keys then some dude chased me down saying they can't keep them and I have to keep waiting. Oh this made me LATE to my next meeting. $89 a day for poor performance was not worth it. I would 100% suggest parking yourself or a block over at London house. They always have 4+ attendants. Help with luggage and doors etc. oh and it's CHEAPER. We appreciated the room upgrade. The room itself was okay. It wouldn't get below 71 degrees and got upwards of 76 degrees during the day. Even with the shades closed. For as much as we spent, I would expect a lot more. Rooms were fine, but the service, in all aspects was not.

I want to say that I have had my eye on this hotel for a while now after looking for Hilton hotel locations with a peloton bike, which this one has. Other than that, I loved that the location of this hotel sits in the heart of Chicago, surrounding a plethora of activities which made it the perfect choice for hotel stay to celebrate. Okay, it was an experience going up to the lobby area to check in at this hotel, a blonde moment as I am known for if you follow my reviews. The lobby is located on the 4th floor, so be sure to choose "L" for the lobby because there is no 4th floor button listed in the elevator. Me and two other hotel guests had an adventure going up to the lobby area after trying to figure out where the 4th floor button was. My experience with the receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing on what is offered, and the receptionist giving me my room key. For your information, check-in starts at 4:00 PM and check-out ends at 12:00 PM! If you have the Hilton honors application, there is the opportunity to check in with the application, choosing your room, and receiving a digital key, which will allow you to go to your room contactless without seeing a receptionist upon your arrival. I have not used this method, but if you are interested in no contact whatsoever then you can use it with the Hilton Honors application. After locating and entering my room, I thought to myself this is fancy once I took notice of the design and interior color which appeared so elegant! There was a variation of vibrant colors in the room from its curtains to the headboard of the king-size bed, the carpet, and a gold chair that looked like something out of your grandmother's house. Out of all, I just could not take my eyes off the curtains which reminded me of cherry blossoms because of the colors. Inside the bathroom there were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% attached to the wall. Throughout my travels, I have noticed that hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; its soothing pressure made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with the spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting my face and body. Other things the room came with that I noticed were a comforter, an iron, ironing board, blow dryer, safe, comforter, a coffee maker (Hamilton Beach), a mini refrigerator, microwave, and USB and AC plugins attached to either the headboard of the bed, lamps, or the television cabinet, which added a nice touch to the room. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Hampton Inn Majestic, as expected, had an exceptionally beautiful inner interior! As a fitness enthusiast, it was great having a fitness center onsite because it allowed me to keep up with my fitness routines during my stay. I must say that I was pleased to see several dumbbell weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, a decent selection of workout machines, and two peloton fitness bikes which charmed me out of my panties once I spotted them. And oh, honey did I enjoy it on my birthday with the lovely Hannah Frankson as my peloton instructor, who put my legs through torture during her low impact workout. Having the complimentary breakfast was a relief because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant for breakfast in the morning. And I was highly satisfied with the quality of what was presented. It is served daily from 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM. For you all visiting the city of Chicago, there are plentiful sights, activities, and restaurants within a radius of Hampton Inn Majestic. As a resident, a few that I adore are Willis Tower, Millennium Park, and the Art Institute of Chicago! Next door is the CIBC Theatre, which I noticed upon my initial arrival at the hotel. And if you are looking to explore the city or outer part of the city, the Chicago Union Station, and CTA Train Station are very accessible to-and-from. I would surely book Hampton Inn Majestic Chicago Theatre District again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of interest in downtown Chicago. ~ Live every moment ~ Thomas G

The reception floor is well planned out even though it's compact. By that I mean, as soon as you step out of the elevator, the reception desk is right there with a seating area. The breakfast area is towards the back room. Checking in was very painless. I made it to my room on a higher floor. For a downtown Hampton Inn, the room was quite spacious. The lobby is beautiful, and several family members who stayed with us also commented on how much they enjoyed the hotel. At the time, pricing felt mid-range for a luxury hotel in Chicago, offering excellent value. It was summer, likely a less expensive time to visit, but even so, considering the room size, comfort, service, and location, it seemed like money well spent year-round. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We would happily return and are eager to explore other Langham properties worldwide.

We were in town briefly for a wedding, and the JW Marriott was our hotel of choice. While not…read moreluxury, the hotel was very nice and comfortable, and the location was central to our wedding happenings. Everything was great until I checked out and discovered that I had been charged $88 per night for parking. That was quite unexpected. I had been in Chicago just a few months earlier and had paid $55 at the L7 Hotel. So I was shocked that the JW could charge so much. How is their valet parking better than the valet parking at the L7? I realize now that had I been traveling alone, and not with my family, it would have been cheaper to fly to Chicago, than drive the 4.5 hours from Ohio. Apparently the hospitality industry hasn't caught on to the current affordability crisis, or at least Marriott hasn't.

Check in is quick, rooms are fine (and clean), and the executive lounge is nice. I was warned about eating in the bar on the first floor, which I hadn't done in a few years, but it was getting late, and the weather stunk. I saw friends in the bar area, so I took root at the table nearby. Service was fine, and I enjoyed a few of the Amber bee on draft. The menu looked good, and I ended up with a steak fried rice bowl. The steak was gross. It didn't even look like steak that should be served. It was fatty and tasteless. I ate less than 1/2 the rice and 1/3 of the steak. I wasn't starving, so it wasn't a huge deal, but those who told me to avoid the bar area for food were right.

I've been to Miru many times and finally got to try out the hotel for a staycation…read more Pros: -I loved that they had two restaurant options in the hotel. Both have incredible views but I would definitely recommend having at least one meal on the Miru patio if you are there during nice weather. -I was most surprised by their massive gym and has stunning views. It's also open 24 hours. They offered Pilates classes as well for an extra fee. -the hotel is brand new and all the finishes are so high end. The rooms are clean and quiet. The hallways are huge and felt like a maze to navigate but it also added to feeling of privacy. -there were so many high end details that made it extra special (the cozy Frette bath robes, welcome drinks, treat box in the room upon arrival, and the accent lighting in the room). -the location. It's just across the river from the heart of Michigan ave on the north end of a residential development. You don't feel like you are in the middle of the chaos of the city but the park, lake front and river are footsteps away. Negatives: -view was underwhelming ( fourth floor river view . Might choose the park view next time. I'd also recommend not facing the river as there was lots of honking/noise. -the room layout was awkward. They have this huge desk between the bed and tv. The full length mirror is a down a long hallway from bathroom/ where you would be getting dressed. -the room service comes on these huge heavy trays. The staff seemed like they were straining under the weight of it/ it was awkward. -I'd probably skip the spa/massage -$90/ day parking. Was able to do a spothero for about $40 next door.

So, walking from the Blackbawks shop when it's 20° isn't an easy task. Also, I wasn't able to try the Tre Dita since I didn't book a reservation in advance. Hopefully, I can schedule a reservation in the future. Plus, since it was mid-December, the St Regis had their third annual 12 Days of Sabrage, which guests of honor perform the evening ritual of champagne sabrage, which celebrates the transition from day to night. They offered complimentary toast of champagne and a Vosges Haut-Chocolate truffle. The hotel encouraged everyone to bring a new or lightly used winter clothing for children in need.
