I went to Vessel Kitchen for the first time last week. After reviewing their extensive menu and even walking their line of sides and proteins, I decided on their Lemon Chicken Salad. My husband ordered the Hash Hash. The restaurant was refreshingly clean and the food looked fresh. Customer service was great and they were really helpful as it was extremely hard to make a decision on what to get--it all looked so good! As I opened my salad container I was pleased with the plating and excited to try my dish. That was until I tried to cut into the chicken breast. I couldn't even get my fork to pierce it. The knife just bounced off. I then stabbed it as hard as I could and barely got the fork to puncture it. As it teetered on the end of my fork, I attempted to bite it and couldn't even do that!!! I challenged my husband to do the same--and he couldn't either!! I then grabbed the entire chicken breast with my bare hands and tried to tear it apart and even then, couldn't tear even a morsel off of it. I'm not sure it was even real food, to be honest! I ended up eating the beets and lettuce and threw the entire chicken breast away. SO DISAPPOINTING! I'd love to know what it actually was or how they prepared it because it was basically petrified rubber. His Hash Hash was good, but I am in no rush to EVER go back. read more

Everything here is delicious. The perfect dinner or lunch. Love coming here and getting stuff for a picnic. Happy that they have some vegetarian options. I'd been to the original location in Park City and was excited to go back. Their expansion to Midvale kept the same level of WOW that I'd experienced the first time. Had a really bad experience with the lady checking us out. She was SO stressed or something. The manager came over to our table and was open to our viewpoint. I felt bad for the lady, but she needs to learn that actually hearing what the customer is asking/saying. The food is OK. We felt our first visit here was better than the second. This was our first time to the Midvale location. Its bright and spacious with views of the mountains everywhere through the big windows. Its cafeteria style with lots of options for those with food allergies. We ordered plates which were two sides (hot or cold) and a protein and came with good portions, piping hot, great value. I chose marinara meatballs, turkey and beef. They were delicious, just a tiny bit dry but I was satisfied. I then had amazing, creamy Yulon mashed potatoes and roasted beets with just the right hint of seasoning. My husband enjoyed thoroughly his crispy kale slaw, falafel and brussel sprouts. Everything tasted fresh, carefully seasoned and delicious. I was even impresssed with the large mrtal water cups and friendly service. Well done, so glad more locations will be opening! One suggestion would be more dessert options for food sensitive, keto etc. Chocolate avocado pudding maybe or energy butes or even fruit? The menu was really straightforward with their options listed or how to create your own bowl. I opted for the Poke Tuna bowl and was just amazed how fresh it all was! And how delicious it tasted! The portions were a great size and I felt contempt afterwards. You can see your order being prepared and they take it to you. It's a great place for fast, casual, healthy and delicious food. I went to Vessel for the first time tonight and ordered the "summer market plate" with yellowfin tuna. The tuna was supposed to be prepared with a soy ginger marinade, toasted sesame, and Thai basil - and while it did appear to have a scant amount of basil, there were no discernible seasonings whatsoever. Just raw, mostly flavorless tuna. The two sides I chose--sweet potato hash and roasted roots--were uninspired, not to mention served at room temperature. While my two friends enjoyed the falafel plates they ordered, and their food did look good, I have no motivation to go back. read more

I love the clean eating and the different spin they put on standard dishes (ie Brussels sprouts)! We used to be regulars at Vessel, especially at the Park City location before they started expanding. The quality has gone downhill, it seems like food sits out for a while and can end up tasting a bit foul. We decided to give them another chance recently and unfortunately they let us down again. My husband and I both ordered the cauliflower and we agreed that it tasted rancid and couldn't finish it. It's a bummer because a lot of the flavors they use are really good but it's not worth feeling sick later. read more
