I'm actually disappointed in myself for walking past this place so many times during my mall visit! This is easily the best spot for high-quality drinks that won't break the bank. 5/5 in the West Jordan/Jordan Landing area, definitely probably one of the cooler places in the area and perhaps one of the few places in the plaza that has some unique vibes and concept. This Spitz location is pretty awesome. I remember when they were just starting out and only had the first DT location and now there are several across the valley. I hadn't been here for quite sometime but today I was lured in with their weekend happy hour and their loyalty promo that was running so kudos to their marketing team for doing some effective marketing :)! I've always really liked the doquitos and usually opt for some extra feta sprinkles and a side of balsamic. The food is always consistent across locations (I've been to DT, Jordan Landing, Lehi, Cottonwood) and can attest it's always been consistent across all the locations and throughout time given I started eating at Spitz back in college when it first opened DT. I absolutely love the concept of a really casual/fast dining vibe but not so fast that you couldn't take a first date here. The even better part is that they serve beer and drinks with a full liquor license which really ups their vibes and allows them to fit into a lot of different communities I.e. Jordan Landing being right outside the movie theatre, open late, serves drinks, awesome outdoor seating, great interior vibes which makes for a great hangout spot where you can order on and off anything from little bites to a full meal with a beer/drink. They also have cards and a game shelf so you can even eat, play games, and have a drink with friends without being at an overly loud bar. The music volume is perfect, wish other restaurants would take note, you can actually talk to each other without screaming over each other but the best part is whoever is making the music selection at the Jordan Landing location has great taste and is well cultured, every track played while we were there was on point! Overall- I just appreciate this place and what's it's trying to bring to the SLC food scene, wish we had more like it but they've definitely set a bar for this type of concept, there just isn't much of it here in the valley so it's cool they're creating a unique atmosphere /environment while keeping it low key, casual, and almost bodega style. The most important part is that the food is good/consistent and prices are fair. Very happy to see so many locations across the valley and to see that they've still remained true to heart from the beginning. read more

hands down, an amazing Mediterranean Restaurant. Presentable and very delicious food. Friendly staff members. Cool environment. They serve alcohol, and have somewhat of a bar for people to sit at. You seat yourself, and they find you and bring the food to you. Overall a great place to get food. The only downside I might add, would be that you must place your dirty dishes in a bin and discard your napkins and extras in a trash can. So it is not Restaurant level service, but definitely high quality food and a great place to stop by. Definitely worth trying, would reccomend. read more

I've passed by here for a long time and finally made my way over. I can appreciate the idea of a modernized or "fusion" take on Greek food, but it just didn't hit home for me. I got a Gyro and was surprised to find that the bread was fried. In theory, this is an awesome idea. In practice, unfortunately it just tasted like a Taco Bell chalupa with gyro meat on it. The bread was just a little over fried, and the gyro meat was pretty dry and chewy. There was also and orange sauce on it that I couldn't quite pin point what it was, but it just didn't meld well with the gyro. With the gyro I got waffle sweet potato fries. These were unfortunately disappointing as well. They were overly fried, with no fluffiness in the middle of the fries at all. To the point there were more like sweet potato chips. The price was also on the high end. Two gyro combos and a half order of doquitos nearly cost us $50. If the price were closer to $35 I could justify giving the experience maybe 2.5 stars. I also had a pretty poor experience with an employee. I was standing in line near the bathrooms for a few mins with a baby in my hands. Just waiting for one to open up. When all of a sudden one of the employees just comes up, tries both door knobs and stands right in front of me. When one finally opened up, the employee tried jumping ahead of me! Then, I get in there, and no changing tables! How can an establishment not have at least one changing table. Overall, this was most definetly a one time experience, and if you haven't been yet, I'd suggest spending your money elsewhere read more

Our server was nice. Very clearly stressed and rushed. Seemed to either be the only person here or the only person trying. I got the street cart wrap, which I usually get at the Traverse location but this one was terrible. The meat was burnt, to the point of a beef jerky-like texture. And it just didn't taste good. Server also forgot my drink. Also paper straws are the worst and they use them Message to ownership: Stop being stingy and put on some staff!! Or talk to your staff bc one guy was carrying the entire shift. Message to customers: Apparently do not come on a Tuesday night. You will be disappointed read more

Out of all of the 3 locations that I have visited in the Salt Lake valley, this one is the most consistent experience wise. I've brought several groups of friends and family here just to try it out, and every single person has said it was great. I typically go for the Gyro combo, but this time I tried the Street Cart Fries. Literally delicious. It was a bit messy in their lobby, but it seemed like there were only a couple of people working. We had come home vacation on a Sunday and I was Not going to cook dinner haha. Restaurant options are for sure limited in Utah on a Sunday. There was one person working the whole front end, the register and delivery of food from the kitchen, but they were doing a great job. The inside decor was modern. The restaurant looked clean. I ordered to go. I ordered a doner wrap combo, a large order of sweet potato fries, and an order of doquitos. It took a bit for them to make it, but that made me hope that it was made fresh. I really enjoyed the dressings with the greens that the doquitos come with. I have had them previously and they were really good! This particular time though, they weren't great. They were overcooked for sure. Especially the ends were much too crispy. I has some bad olives in my dressings too which feels like something the kitchen could easily to watch for and avoid. My husband enjoyed his doner wrap meal. The sweet potato fries were pretty good, not excellent though. Some of them were super salty. Honestly for $40+ to feed two people I expected a higher quality of my food. I was quite disappointed, who knows if it was just an off day or if this location just isn't up to par. read more

I didn't know what to expect, but when I was visiting Jordan Landing recently, and not in the mood for greasy fast food, I turned to Spitz. It took me a little bit to get familiar with the menu and decide what I wanted. But eventually, I took a chance and selected the Remix Bowl with chicken. I ordered it to go so I could sit outside on the grass and listen to my son play in the band outside. Service was friendly and quick. I only waited five or so minutes after placing my order and getting it handed to me in a big brown bag. Utensils were included, and I noticed that the straw was an environmentally friendly version of the traditional plastic kind. Nice! When I got situated and pulled my meal out of the bag, I quickly realized that I had underestimated this place. There was a ton of goodness jam packed in this bowl. Quinoa, tomatoes, cucumbers, garbanzo beans, and so much more. The chicken was presented in a unique way-it looked like shaved pieces spread over the top of the salad. Interesting presentation and great taste! I look forward to returning and trying more on the menu. I would love to see them expand their soda options to some more healthy choices to match their menu. Flavored water or seltzer would be a huge plus! read more

Well, it took me almost 5 years and I finally tried Spitz! I am honestly ashamed of myself for taking this long. I ordered the Street Cart Doner since they listed it as their most popular wrap. I ordered it with chicken shawarma. Doner - Delicious, hint of spicy, cucumbers and tomatoes are fresh tasting. Little bit of crunch. It was really big and extremely filling. The ingredients are well distributed. I don't like how they wrap it with the paper. I had to pull the paper out of the wrap which in turn made me un warp the tortilla too. Falafel was really strong, crunchy, not a fan. The hummus was pretty good. read more

Two street wraps and 1 flatbread pizza. Hubby got a full wrap. I had the cabbage and green peppers removed. They gave me green peppers but took away the lettuce. After digging out the peppers, the rest was all right. Son was extremely disappointed with the pizza as it was very dry. Hubby loves the fries. They try going after the döner experience. Nope. I know and love the real Turkish döners in Germany. Some similarities, but no. Fine on it's own...if they get the orders right. read more

The food here is just okay. I think it just doesn't match up with my tastes. I've enjoy some of the things here, but like I said it's a hard to sell menu unless you really love middle eastern fusion food. The Servers here are pretty great, super nice and helpful. Communal style dining, Forks, Napkins, etc are in the center of the table family style. read more
