He was so patient as my daughter took her time, literally, trying to figure out which phone and what color. You know how Apple can be, so he made sure the phone was backed up on the old device. The new phone needed a software update which he took care of as well as making sure all the contacts, pictures and apps were loaded onto the new phone. He was very thorough from start to finish. Avoid Omar and Zahir! I went in to upgrade, NOTHING they did worked. 1) They said it would transfer but I had to pay them $120. NOTHING was transferred. I had to go to another Verizon store to get it done CORRECTLY! 2) NONE of the apps or passwords transferred like they said. 3) They added over $120 MORE in UNASKED for charges! 4) I asked REPEATEDLY how much would my monthly bill go up. They said under $10. My bill went up from $151 to $278!! 5) They didn't add any of the fees I PAID them to the but they didn't put into the system so Verizon said I NEVER paid and Now I've got to pay DOUBLE! Update: after reading comments after my initial review, there is a stream of unhappy customers with unprofessional people here. To Verizon upper management, please contact me so we can rectify. See other negative comments, avoid Yvonne. The Yvonne needs to go work in the back, she/he has no ability to de-escalate situations. The overall rating for the store (3.6 at the time of this review) has been manipulated by Verizon or its tech buddies at Google I'm sure. If you read the one star reviews, they present as technically accurate and numerous. The associates/representatives in this store are the worst. They despise customer service. A healthy racist attitude permeates the environment--just churns through the place. I almost felt hated the moment I opened the door, nodded and smiled at the associate--only to receive a grunt in return. He might have rolled his eyes. After extending him grace and trying to maintain an upbeat attitude, I eventually called for the manager as he was impossible to deal with. So unpleasant. I mentioned that I objected to his attitude, and he literally squared up on me and told me to leave. The manager, standing right there, accepted his behavior instead of terminating him immediately. She said she would deal with him. I'm sure he's still there, greeting customers to this day. I've complained about service before in my lifetime, but never seen a reaction like that--one tolerated by the manager, who ended up being equally awful. So, get this, Verizon sent a letter complaining of my behavior in the store, alluding to my being a racist. This is called projection. In psychology, when you are guilty of a behavior, you tend to accuse others of that same behavior as a defensive measure. I challenge Verizon to post the video from the store indicating that I am a racist. As a footnote, I hate racism and the disparate racist treatment that results from it, and that's precisely why I reacted against the behavior in the store. If we stand for treating people poorly because of their looks, we as a country are doomed. Since I'm born, we've definitely moved backwards on matters or race, and racism is as alive and well as ever, but the roles have reversed. I am thinking Verizon's customer service is also lacking as a whole. I made the switch from TMobile and something happened with my activation. Since I live quite a ways from the Verizon store I made the purchase with I went to one near my home on Daniel Stuart in Woodbridge, VA. I was met with minimal customer service and general disinterest in helping me resolve the issue. After asking a few clarifying questions, I was directed to the "corporate store" nearby because of the Verizon bag I was carrying. "It was a corporate bag." I walked into Verizon store and was greeted by a specialist named "sway". I explained the issue, with a slight smirk he recommended that I return my purchase to the initial store in Manassas (which I found out was a 3rd party retailer) and restart the process with their store. The process will take 2-3 days because my ported number will need to go back to TMobile. I asked him for a moment to process the information and then he says "I'm just tryna help you out". I asked if Verizon has a tech support number or someone I can speak with to help me with this process he said "yes" but it will take awhile. I asked for the number, a card for the store and to speak with a manager and he said he could write the number down and they do not have cards. He then returned with a yellow post it with two numbers. I asked with the manager and he pointed to her. Her name was "Yuvonna". She then asked for my receipt and confirmed that the first Verizon store was a 3rd party retailer and then printed out a copy of what their store receipts look like. I asked if I am paying corporate Verizon and I have the service why can't someone at Verizon assist me with completing the active process. She explained that the 3rd party store does not have access to their systems to port the number over quickly. She followed up and said they deal with this a lot and concurred with "Sway's" recommendation to return the purchase and restart the purchase with them. Then she went on to say that the 3rd party stores are at a "different" pay grade. When they see someone like me transferring from T-Mobile, they see $$$. I asked what does that have to do with my service, she explained that because they (the corporate store) receive regular pay and commission they can focus on providing customer service. She said a few other comments on 3rd party stores and their lack of being about to get the job done correctly. Conclusion: I am saddened that I made the switch to Verizon and instead of helping me get to resolution that didn't involve me returning my purchase and possibly losing the phone number I have had for 13 years, I received a critique on how 3rd party Verizon Retailers are incompetent and lack customer service. Yuvonna Nychelle Stevens the assistant store manager called my phone today and I thought she was going to be helpful. I looked her up and it didn't seem like she worked at the direct location, but I was wrong. I told her my initial situation about picking up a cellular iPad and she listened to me up until I told her I asked her reps questions about promotions, to which she said "when you pick up curbside, you sign up for that, pick up and go". And I had pointed out how her reps didn't care to talk to me or even look at me, how her rep lied about the Samsung promotions she's said "well it's for new lines only and you said upgrades." But that's the thing, the rep I asked the question to never asked me what my situation was, so she never knew if I had new lines or not, cause she didn't look at or care to talk to me. She told me "you have to sign into a queue for further assistance", I said no one ever told me that. And she said "that's what you sign up for when you do pick up" over and over. Never addressed her reps bad attitudes and lying, never addressed me not being "told" about this queue because she said it says online that it tells you there, which no, online does NOT say "if you have promotion questions to sign into a queue", that's bs and the stores responsibility to inform guests. Also, her reps DID answer my questions without making me sign into a queue. They just didnt have the knowledge nor interest to talk. So that point doesnt even make sense. The whole time "ThAtS WhAt YoU SiGnEd Up FoR, I'm giving you the energy you give me, I'm sorry you're in your feelings" sooooo disrespectful as a so called "manager". I said I want to talk to your manager, she said "I am the manager", I said no on the email you're the assistant manager, she said "she's the manager in charge of the store right now", I want to talk to the person higher up than you, "they're not here right now and you won't talk to them on my personal device, bye". When making an appointment over the phone I told the guy that I want a phone line and internet line. So he makes me appointment at 7. I found out AFTER driving to the store that the lady who does internet installations leaves at 6. When I walked in the man at the front desk wasn't even paying attention, I had to say excuse me before he realized someone was in front of him. Upon arriving at the store I was greeted by an associate who seemed to have a hard time comprehending what I was explaining as an issue with my account. He then proceeded to explain "how incorrect" or wrong I was and ended the communication without ensuring that a resolution can be made. I was dismissed and not heard or listened to for understanding regarding the reason for my visit. An Apple store in the same community as this Verizon Wireless store, is a prime example for exceptional customer service and this store can definitely benefit from learning from the Apple store's competency of their product along with professionalism, effective communication, kindness, respect, and patience towards their customers. This was by far one of the worst experiences we have ever encountered in this state. Got a Samsung "Flip" phone for my son (age 23), who is very picky about taken care of his electronics since he is passionate about computers. It hasn't been a year since I purchased this phone and recently the phone began displaying a solid yellow stripe in the middle of the screen, then next day half of the screen was black, and untimely it stop working. We call Verizon Customer Service since Assurion wanted to gave us a used refurbished phone. Verizon Customer Service went ahead and "CONNECTED REMOTELY" to the phone and determined that the phone had manufacturer's issues. We were instructed to take the phone back to this Verizon dealer and here is what it took place: 1. Representative on the floor listened to what happened with the phone and goes into the system to check the notes written by Verizon Customer Service. 2. Representative told us that a claim through Assurion needs to be completed in order to get a new phone. 3. We informed the representative that we were instructed by Verizon Customer Service to bring the phone for a one for one swap. 4. Manager gets involved and began blaming my son responsible for the phone damage "WITHOUT" listening to me, or willing to call Verizon Customer Service to confirmed the facts and missing notes about the device. Instead, she goes and asked one of her employees to looked at the phone and confirmed it was "INTENTIONALLY DAMAGE BY PRESSURE." 5. Shortly after she stopped interrupting me and I told her that the VERIZON CUSTOMER TECHNICIAN got connected remotely and assessed the damage, she paused and began reading the notes????? 6. We left the store in frustration and contacted VERIZON CUSTOMER SERVICE AGAIN. 7. End result? Verizon Customer Service listened to what took place and made a report about this matter. Further, they send us a "BRAND NEW PHONE" in exchange for the "DEFECTIVE" and not "DAMAGED" phone. 8. Ms. Manager, before you began placing blame on customers, get the True facts and details about what took place between the customer and your corporate representatives. 2. Let other people talk without being interrupted! When you interrupted people it doesn't shows good communication skills and you are setting a bad example for your employees. 3. The staff here acts like they're in a club. Music is blaring. This place does not begin to resemble a professional environment.I could hardly hear myself talk. Roberto was helping us. But he would answer his phone, go check the merchandise on the floor, then come back to the desk and take his phone in the back (multi tasking when I am standing right here). Which is why the visit took over two hours. Or coworkers would come to him and ask multiple questions. Do you not see he is with a customer? Is there anyone else who can help you learn your job? Except for maybe 1or 2 people, everyone else working at this store is rude and plain ignorant. What more can I say? It really makes me wonder what the requirements are to be hired to work for Verizon. I have been having such major issues with my Droid Eris phone (which btw was discontinued only after about 3 months after it was introduced to the market). It has been replaced 3 times and the battery has been replaced twice. And every single time I have gone, the wait time is NEVER less than 30 minutes. The uninformed people employed at that Verizon store don't seem to care, have a gala of a time conversing with EACH OTHER, and really are of no use at all. I went to upgrade my phone and the sales rep (Serena) ordered the wrong phone. I confirmed that with the order summary on my account. Go in days later to alert her of this mistake. She looked me dead in the eyes and lied and said "it must have been on their end" referring to the warehouse. She submitted the order not the warehouse. It was her responsibility to ensure she was putting the correct information and she failed. Miserably. Mind you, I was assured it would be two day shipping. It has been a week and the phone hasn't even left the warehouse. Confirmed that with UPS. Then I had to spend hours on the phone with corporate to cancel the order and be refunded. Waste of my time. I have been trying to get my bill straightened out for 6 months, well today I was told by a "supervisor"that it didn't matter what I was told in Dec. that my bill was to be $142 that I had been give "all the discounts I could be" that they were now taking away a $20 discount and I would be paying $20 more a month! They seem to think it's okey to lie, cheat and steal from customers! Unfortunately, they had me agree to the lower fee telling me that if I agreed to a two (2) year contract that's what I would be paying. Liars, I would tell anyone looking for a cable co. Hello, I just wanted to write and say I started with Verizon in June 2019. Since then they have lost two different payments of mine in August for $294 and December for $340. Well in August I made a dispute and They found my payment over a month later which caused my account to be suspended. Well in December I call customer service to figure out what happened to my $340 they said it was my fault that I probably sent it to the wrong account. I was trying to figure out how is that possible when there's so many security options to go through just to get to customer service. Then I spoke to a normal representative about the situation and They said it's my fault that I should not have use my PayPal debit card to use to make the payment, What does it matter money is money right!!! Today February 18, I called into Verizon I finally get a supervisor on the phone. Keep in mind this is after several representatives told me just last week that they had my money on December 2,,,,,but on December 2, they told me that they did not have my money. So obviously I would have to file another dispute right .... so January 10 I call Paypal to ask for my money back, if Verizon doesn't have it and I don't have it I should be credited my money correct... Well Paypal took about 10 days to investigate and they returned my money. What would a coincidence Verizon says that my money was applied to my account on December 2 the whole time. Our internet service was not working all over the home. I called Verizon and got India. After 30 minutes of "testing" the person, Shazib?" said I need to talk to the supervisor, "Rajiv." Another 30 minutes, he said we had a first Generation router and needed a new one, $12. a month to rent forever or 200 to buy. Why does it work in half of the house, can't the older one be fixed?? Planned obsolescence? I was then transferred to Mickey, another supervisor. I told them I wanted it working throughout the home and want to talk to someone nearby. I was put on hold for another 30 minutes and talked to Brad somewhere in the US. He also said that I needed a newer modem so opted for the 4th gen modem for 200 vice 5th gen for $300. "To save $10.00, pick up at the store near you." It's like having to buy a new car every few years.. Is this necessary?? Only a year warranty on the new one or more charges. "Plug and play" so no tech coming out after I go to the Woodbridge,VA store which has many one star ratings. While on the line with everyone, I was getting a second call "Verizon survey" which I didn't answer. Thank goodness people have different choices. Our monthly bill is already $170 for a "bundle" since I called. We didn't "rebundle" so charges were going up all the time. Why didn't you tell us to rebundle?? I have been in and out of this store many times and each time has been a lesson in patience and self control on my part. Two instances that come to mind are that once when I came in to ask a simple question and a woman I assume was the manager told me that I would have to take a number and wait in line order to get my question answered. (Very simple question). The last time I came the store was empty and after doing research on various phones I wanted to bring my wife to touch and get a feel for the $1,000.00 purchase we were about to make. I asked an associate if he would show my wife some details about the phone she wanted. The same short fella that others have complained about in other reviews saw my wife walk in and completely ignored her. We told him that we weren't going to make a purchase for a couple of weeks and he got even less interested LOL. He started talking in short, one word sentences and slowly and literally back out of the conversation I was trying to have with him. I have decided to find another store to give my money to. The funny part is that all this guy had to do was give us his business card, act interested and we would have come back to him in 2 weeks and he gave him his commission! 2009 was not my phone year. After two iPhones and a Blackberry, I resorted to using the Welshman's left-behind Motorola RZR. Too proud to consider giving AT&T another dime of my money and too awesome to posses the need to check my e-mail 24-7, I was trying to figure out what kind of phone I actually wanted, as my contract with Verizon runs out in October. I've been with Verizon for eight years. Eight years! I've given them what must be close to 10 grand. I never saw much to complain about when it came to phone or online service. We all know that wireless brick-and-mortar stores, along with Sears and petting zoos, are hell-on-earth. A one-star rating should come as no surprise. However, I can't seem to accept that the level of stupidity and inefficiency I encounter every time will make a repeat performance though it always does. I walk in and someone cheerily greets me: "Can I help you miss?" "I just need a battery for this" [brandish RZR for all to see]. "OK, just sign in and someone will be right with you." Look, ho, we both know you're lying. Nobody will be right with me. Not the four people helping one woman at the same time buying a $50 phone, not the two guys who can't type behind the counter, not the chick with the tight ponytail who disappears with some drawer you're counting BEFORE closing, not the two other guys on staff walking around turning off alarms annoying kids set on the demo phones to make this store trigger even more violent thoughts in my head. I will be waiting 20 minutes, minimum, only to learn that you can't help me after all. Actually I waited 30 minutes. And when I go up to the counter, Mr. Customer Service said he'd be right back, he had to check to see if they had that battery in stock. Of course they didn't. In 30 seconds he discovered such information. I waited 30 minutes for a 30-second letdown. Some redneck next to me burps. I literally bang my head on the counter. I start to schlep off toward the door, but I want some restitution. You are going to serve this fucking customer. I run back in and ask him if he knows who else has the battery. "Maybe our kiosk at BJ's." Well, can he call them before I drive over there? "Oh, good thing you thought of that because they don't have one either." Can you check all the Verizon stores in the area? "Looks like nobody has it. I can special order it and you can pick it up on Tuesday." I explain I need it now, as I'm visiting my parents in Woodbridge and need to communicate to my friends, all my phone numbers are in there, etc. He said "Wal-Mart has them." So it can, indeed, get worse. Apparently there is a tenth circle of hell, and it is a 24-hour Wal-Mart in Prince William County. I go. The cell phone salesman informs me that no, they don't carry them, or any batteries, and that I need to go to the Verizon store. AVOID THIS VERIZON STORE , Woodridge residents. I have been a long time verizon client . Have been using company provided phones for a few years . Went in to purchase a new plan , and purchase a new I phone 12 with cash in hand . First I was told they could not give me any credit for my old phone witch was not a issue with me at all . I am from a sales background. I Was continued to try to be sold an I pad along with what I came in for . I had 2 different Reps trying every thing they could to change my mind . After I told them multiple times I was not interested in a I pad . Just phone and unlimited plan please !!! Now , all of a sudden my worthless phone is now worth $400 dollars as a trade in and look how cheap it brings the I pad . I said again thanks for the $400 credit but still not interested in the up sale . After we finished things up I still got a quote for what I asked for and one for the I pad of course . My account got flagged as identity theft protection? ????? And I was unable to purchace what I wanted . Was told has nothing to do with me they just need to make sure it really is me trying to make this purchase. Even after giving a state driving license and social security number ?? This was not from my banking institution this was from verizon . I was told I needed to wait 3 or 4 days and someone would contact me and let me know what the result of the Identity check was . Of course no one from verizon has called . After 4 days I called the store looking to speak with someone else after telling a new Rep from that store what happened she did not want to help me so she put me through to the original person whom I did not want to deal with . I asked her multiple questions, I could tell she did not even want to take the time now to look up my account . Horrific service , I will try the Lisle Illinois store whom I spoke with on the phone and seem very willing to try to help . If no luck with them . I will gladly give my money to AT&T . Wow, what crappy customer service. Here we go. I just moved to the area and called to try and get Verizon Fios in my house. So there was an existing order on my house for the former tenant. This particular order was 2 years old, the tenant clearly placed an order but never had it installed...so it was just left active. Because there was an already existing order that means I could not put in my order. I was then told I had to contact my realtor to have my realtor contact Verizon to have the pending order cancelled. So all that happens and everything is going smooth. 2 days out from the installation I get a confirmation email of the installation. The day before I get a confirmation phone call from their office, confirming the appointment. The day of I log in and find that my order had been cancelled. So I call their office to figure out what happened. Not only was my order cancelled but my entire profile had been deleted. My phone number didnt register with them, my address didnt register with them, and my order number which is specific to my appointment (given to me by them) didn't register anything...weird huh? So various calling (i'll get to that later) I then find that my order was deleted and the previous tenants was still active, so someone deleted the wrong order. Was it not obvious enough that on my profile was extremely current information about the installation and that the other order was over 2 years old? Now for the customer service phone calls. I am not kidding when I am saying it took 7 phone calls spanning over 4 hours to get anything accomplished. I was put on hold by various 'agents' and then hung up on OR (and this is my favorite) I was put on hold for so long that OTHER agents then answer my call and attempted to help me....as like I wasn't already being helped. Then when it comes to trying to re-order an installation they dont have a time slot open for the next week. My time slot for this particular day was between 8am-5pm and at the time of my phone call it was only 3pm...which means there is still 2 hours left in the business day. If my appointment was for that particular day, and my order was cancelled, that means that there is still an unaccounted for time slot that can be filled. Would it have been so difficult to call up the technician appointed to my area and let them know they to swing by and do their job? Being fed up, I then called Cox Cable and was able to get an appointment for the next day (not a week later thankfully). Verizon you are a business, a company, so act like it. In particular when orders are backed up and pending, you dont keep smooth sailing. Instead you ask workers to work overtime in order to help catch up on pending orders. Pathetic. read more

We have had Verizon FIOS for years - first in NoVA and now in Fredericksburg. It is expensive and it is difficult to speak to a real human. But we stuck with it. So today, after enduring the back up battery beep, I went on line and ordered a new one. It let me do that. About a minute later, I saw instructions on how to troubleshoot the battery. After the troubleshooting killed the beeping, I tried to cancel the order. I couldn't do it online. So I called the Customer Service number. The CSR tried to tell me that the order had already shipped. Uhh.... I don't believe you. I just ordered it an hour ago. Already shipped. So UPS has already picked it up? Already shipped. He said that the order could not be cancelled because it had been shipped. I do not believe this whatsoever. I had to pay shipping -- almost $9 -- and will have to pay to ship it back. It really really really annoys me that someone in shipping can't take their scanner and walk over to the shipping area and pull that shipment. The CSR said that he was responsible for the cancellation and that he could not cancel it. So my contract ends in 8 months. I am responsible for cancelling this service. Guess what? Verizon Internet and Television. System went out in the Dumfries, Southbridge, and surrounding area on May 26. This is nothing to do with their stores. This is a corporate issue. People on nextdoor.com in the area were writing all sorts of commentary after we regained Internet, but no TV. TV was not working 24 hours later. I used Verizon Chat. That's BS. The message was we will be with you "momentarily." That started at 5:58 PM and I gave up 52 minutes later. Tried my TV at about 7:15 PM and there was a message that Verizon engineers were working on it and it should be working by about 7:38 PM. Well heck, it is now 12:55 in the morning and still no TV. Their engineers must be in a foreign country. Unfortunately, none of these "cable" companies are responsive. I had Comcast years ago and that was literally every 7 to 10 days calling them because the TV was not working. I tried rebooting the Verizon router and set-top box several times but no results. Still had 4 amber lines where the box should show the time. Perhaps I should put an antenna in the attic and cancel their version of TV service. Many people have written extremely negative reviews about Verizon. The company seems to think that telling customers anything to get rid of the customer is the answer. I would rather be told the truth than some made-up answer. I worked for a utility for many years and we did not lie to customers. That did not mean that the customer was happy with our answer but we told them the truth. All of this comes from the very highest level of a company and how that top management treats their employees. That is what creates a company culture. Verizon culture is to make something up and get rid of the customer. It is too bad that there is not multiple choices for service providers. read more

Horrible customer service, too many people standing around doing absolutely everything but being helpful. Karla was rude and very matter of fact, talking to me as if I haven't been dealing with my phone issues. I simply did what the Verizon Customer Service tech told me to do over the phone and she was negating what he said. Kept telling me she'd notate it but they can't replace it, I never once recommended replacing it, I just want it to work! Get your shit together Verizon. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years but you'll are slowly losing me. I haven't bought my new phone yet, but they were very nice, and let me look around and test all the phones without pressuring me. I love the fact that they have functioning phones, and not just a bunch of dummy phones. They checked on me from time to time, but never made me feel rushed or like I was bothering them, which is a nice change of pace around here. read more

If I could give a negative star I would! Save your self many headaches and money and go to another carrier! We signed up with Verizon at this location and I wish o had checked the reviews prior to. We have had nothing but headache from day 1! Employees are not trained right and the managers are no help! Everyone puts the blame on someone else. Suzanne the manager is very unprofessional and kept interrupting us while we tried to explain what their employee did that cost us $400 out of pocket! We waits for an hour to speak to the general manager who was trying to avoid us by keeping busy! It's been nothing short of hell dealing with everyone here. I'm pulling three lines out from Verizon and taking my business to T-Mobile. I will definitely be calling corporate office and posting about my hell time and money loss all over my social media in an effort to save others the headache! Vz spends a lot of time concerning itself with feedback for customer service, they are doing fine. Now work on your billing & actual service products. I'm finding their actual TV service & Billing methods to be the most negative part of dealing with this company. My tv, not wireless, direct cable connection, pauses &. skips (Extreme HD), $100 per month. Also, I closed an account over 3 months ago with them & I'm still due a refund going into month 5. Why must I wait so long to get my money? Sending me a statement each month indicating that I have a credit is ridiculous. Just mail my funds. read more

Came into this store to upgrade my daughters phone. The store was empty with at least 10 employees standing around on their phones and having personal conversations very unprofessional.I manage associates for a major corporation and I simply would not have tolerated wages being wasted like that. A young lady named Shanya was helping me not really engage with our purchase more so engage with the conversations with her colleagues. Not really paying any attention to the customer in front of her.Shanya Didn't open the phone or anything to ensure everything was working properly, (which the Equipment is Faulty) directed us to activate once we got home. Asked us if we wanted the insurance on the phone and we said yes only to find out she actually put we declined the insurance . Upon trying to activate I noticed that the phone number was completely wrong and it was actually activated on someone else's account. After several failed attempts with getting the problem solved I was told I have to bring it back into the store(which is about an hour away from my home) to swap the phone out! Total BS!!!! If only you were allowed to rate a zero. "High Speed Internet" yet it can't handle someone playing a game while plugged directly into the router with an Ethernet cable, and one person streaming Netflix on the WiFi. Absolutely ridiculous, especially considering what you pay for it. You may as well make a schedule of who can be on the internet since it can't handle more than one. I won't get started on their "customer service", feel free to read the majority of all these other comments. If you know your service can't actually provide what your damn customer is looking for, have an honest bone in your body and just say so. The 1-star rating is generous. I had Verizon FIOS installed in my house in September and it has NEVER worked properly. I have called in 10 repair tickets so far, technicians have been out several times and I still have service that either will not come on, glitches, or just goes off while you are watching a show. After the initial installation, we had a repair technician come out to address the connectivity problem. He seemed to be agitated while on-site and did not resolve our issues. I spoke to a manager at the beginning of January who seemed helpful and scheduled a technician to come to my house on 1/5. Again, that technician did not fix the issues and told us that wireless set-top boxes cannot be guaranteed to work. So why does FIOS think it's okay to charge me $300 monthly for a service they cannot guarantee? Also, every technician has a very bad attitude and there is no regard for providing any semblance of a pleasant customer service experience. So, as usual, I have made maybe a dozen phone calls to Verizon to try to speak to a manager. I've waited on hold, scheduled call-backs only to be disconnected, and had a manager tell me he would now charge me to connect my boxes to a hard cable, even though I just paid to have my house wired to try to resolve the issues. That call dropped as well. I'm on hold again waiting for a manager and the music stopped. Here we go again. The line just dropped. This is unbelievable. I originally got FIOS at my home in DC because Xfinity so irritating and unreliable. FIOS worked fine in DC but it's a different story in Alexandria. I have several friends in other parts of Northern Virginia who have the same complaints. Looks like I will have to take my money elsewhere since Verizon doesn't care. read more

Awful customer service. Well, until I finally received help anyway.. my husband and I went in around 3pm and didnt receive help until after 5pm! Not because they were busy, but because they didn't have a "greeter" to check people in. The man who ended up helping us left out so much information in regards to the plan we signed up with. We ended up going back a week later to cancel our plan with them. And even when we went back to cancel our plan, we had to sign in and wait and we were the only customers. There was maybe one other couple in the store and we still had to wait while they had five employees working and just chatting around. read more

The fact that there are so many 1 star reviews for this Verizon Wireless location due to horrible customer service but nothing ever gets done should tell you something about Verizon Wireless in general. They have gotten too big for their britches and don't give a hoot about customer service in general. Same goes for their Verizon FIOS branch. All their efforts go into sales and marketing, but once they get you as a customer you become just another number. My wife and I visited this location right after the holidays this past year to upgrade our service and obtain smart phones. We specifically asked our sales rep if we could remove our daughter from our package without incurring penalty charges, and after reviewing our account he told us that it would not be a problem. However, when we got our first bill a few weeks later, we had been charged $170 for dropping her from our plan. We first attempted to get this resolved through this store, but encountered nothing but resistance and rude customer service reps. We then tried contacting Verizon Wireless customer service, but ran into a dead end going that route. So, bottom line, our sales rep misinforms us (a nice way of saying "lied to us") in order to make a sale, and when we get hit with the bill Verizon basically tells us to take a hike. They'd rather risk losing customers for life than to make things right by reimbursing us a measly $170 (measly for them, but not for us!). We already dropped our Verizon FIOS service a year ago because of the horrible customer service experience, and we are now looking to do the same with our Verizon Wireless plan. We'll never again sign up for anything Verizon!!! read more

Worst verizon store ever. Worse than the DMV or any government assistant line. This store and the managers do not respect or value their customer's time. Cannot be trusted to send back equipment given to the store. My first issue with this store happened in Oct of '14. I gave them a device I was exchanging for an upgrade and they did not send it back for over a month. The second issue I had was today. After waiting for 40 mins and seeing multiple employees hanging out I was told there were still 4 people ahead of me and that waiting an hour to upgrade a phone wasn't abnormal. They didn't care that customers were waiting for such a long time. They also gave me the run around when asking for their general manager. Dishonest and disingenuous. Verizon corporate needs to do something about the management of this store. read more

Went to this store with the family and phones to trade in and switch from Sprint. The uncaring greeter made me state my request 3 times as he was too busy paying attention to a girl in his view. He told us 15 minutes tops to wait. He did not give us updates and could have cared less when we walked out after 50 minutes of not talking to anyone, He suggested we come back when they were less busy. Unbelievable.
