First off you all need to know you will get different OFFERS and SERVICES from different locations because Verizon has their own stores they call DIRECT Stores and they allow INDIRECT stores to sell their products. Direct means they are Verizon owned and operated and Non Direct means they are not. My review is for: Verizon Connect / Premium Retailer @ 15494 Whittier Blvd Whittier, CA 90603 562.943.6100 This location IS AN INDIRECT STORE (I note the store information even though I should not have to, because I see a comment listed as a review for this store that says nothing about the store but about other locations) BACK STORY: I live 5 minutes from a DIRECT store. I have been in there more than once to ask for help with two older devices each time I was treated as if I was not good enough for them to serve me. I got the feeling they are all about SELLING new contracts and not interested in spending their time helping existing customers. For the record, I have been a Verizon customer so long I think they were a different company name when I started my service! REVIEW: I stepped into the Whittier location after looking for a Jewelry store no longer open. I asked them if they could help me with some data issues. My then older devices were not allowing back up assistant to work for me. I had a lot of contacts on another device I wanted transferred. They were not terribly busy and were able to transfer the data. They were VERY HELPFUL. I dealt with ERICK & CHARLES. I promised them both when I was ready to upgrade I would be back. Last Saturday March 31, 2013. I kept my word. My husband and I had already researched and were set on a couple of mobile devices to consider. I called ahead of time to ask them to check their inventory before leaving our home which is about 45 minutes to an hour away depending on traffic. The devices were in stock. CHARLES took care of me. I mentioned still not being able to set up back up assistant on my older existing device even after following the step by step tutorial process Verizon displays on their site. I warned them my data transfer might be a bit of a problem. At one point during the data transfer we needed to ask ERICK to assist. He has been working with mobile phone sales for years, his years of experience allow him to resolve problems a less experienced employee might not be able to trouble shoot as quickly. In the case of my older Mobile telephone with a compromised charger receptacle, it made all the difference. Amazing experience here today with Edward! I went in inquiring about upgrading because I was due for one and cracked my phone the other day so I figured it was time to just go do it. Edward was honest and up front with me about what was the best phone for me and I really appreciated it. The process took 20 minutes to a half hour but he made it enjoyable asking me about my pregnancy and chatting with me. He even got me credits for my phone and I got a new phone case and screen protectors covered with the credits! Edward also put my screen protector on. Just left the store due to poor service. Was going to preorder two phones and pay over 1,000.00 each. We will spend our money elsewhere. If I could I would have given this place zero stars!!! Check your account people!! This store has employees that steal your account information!!! I had 2 phones, both worth over $900, that were bought on my account without my knowledge. The only way I found out was because I received the agreement in the mail. The employee opened a "sub account" that I had no knowledge of and couldn't even see it when I logged onto my account. I called Verizon and was given the name of the employee who sold the phones. This is the worst Verizon store I have ever been to in my life. They only have 2 employees working and about 5 people waiting to be helped. I was not greeted when I walked in (which is fine with me) but they didn't even say we will be with you as soon as possible. So I sat here for about 30 minutes, I acknowledged. I've been a Verizon customer for several years, NEVER have I've received such professional and prompt service as I have with Daniel at 15494 Whittier Blvd in Whittier. Extremely patient and knowledgeable. Verizon needs to hire many more just like him. I've spent over 3 hours total with customer service and nobody was able to help me. I was extremely agitated and drained so I drive to Verizon and Daniel helped me immensely. After my first encounter with Daniel I went back due to some different issues with my bill. Purchased Brand New Samsung S20. Was told I would be receiving $150 credit for the phone. I look at contract and it shows no credit. I call back store and they say don't worry it will be on your bill so I said ok not a problem. Next month comes along and I'm now getting hit full pop plus the charge $40 activation fee which they told me they wouldn't charge. I spend 2hrs on the phone with Verizon customer support only for them to tell me that it take 2-3 months to get an promotions or credits. They have to get a supervisor on the line to see if they can adjust and credit me back the $40 that Dacron Store Manager said they wouldn't be charging. Really bad way of handling transactions. Everything should be up front when dealing with any type of transaction. In my case a $1400 phone they most expensive phone on the market it would be nice not to get bad information on. Be straight up with people. We are in a people business. read more

Honestly I've been with Verizon for years and I used to dread going into one of their stores to ask questions due to their customer service however I was pleasantly surprised by this store! The store manager Gabriel was the one who helped me and made me feel so comfortable. They made me a priority even though I wasn't buying anything that day. I went to this Whittier store and was told I could ' turn in my old S8 phone and receive a tablet along with a new S9 phone and still pay the same monthly bill, NO INCREASE " . When I received my monthly bill, it was $18 higher/month than my usual bill, after hours on the phone with the store and call center and more aggravation, I returned the tablet July 9, 2018 (to Daniel, the very helpful manager) and asked for my old phone back so the bill would then be the same. I asked for and received a return receipt for the tablet from Daniel, by email. After 2-3 more months of hours and aggravation, my monthly bill was corrected and credits applied. SINCE NOV 2018 I have been getting COLLECTIONS CALLS for the sum of $300 from Aldous and Associates, a collections attorney, yet my Verizon Bill is paid in full every cycle. I called this store in Dec 2018 and spoke to Pon, then the Manager who has been trying to help, but could not identify what this charge was for. I thought it had something to do with the tablet. He was and still is looking into it. The collection calls continue. I called the GoWireless Corp office 866-487-1222 and left a message for Sandra, the Collections Manager, who called me back and confirmed that "the $300 is for the tablet, and we sent you a letter". I advised Sandra I received no letter and of the above information, and emailed her my return receipt for the tablet and she said to me "that doesn't help, it's a Verizon document, not a Go-Wireless document, I will freeze the collections calls until I get to the bottom of this... the tablet has not been received in our warehouse." I have called and left a message for Gordon Gober, the President of Sales at their corporate office. So if you like this kind of run around, shop at GoWirelss. read more

I'm not one who likes to write a review good or bad. But. I think this time it is appropriate. A couple of days ago I went into my local wireless store just to check on signing up for a Verizon tablet, not that I really needed one. A young lady, Courtney, helped me. She was polite, as is customary, but there there was more, something that can't be learned, something inside. She always wore a smile, not one of those I-want-to-be-polite kind but one that radiated from her. She was knowledgeable and helpful. I ended up signing up and she set up everything and even put up with my antics. But this is only background. Why I'm writing is what happened yesterday. Yesterday I decided to turn on and check out the Mobile Data feature, it was tested the day before and worked fine, I just wanted to play with my new toy. Much to my dismay there was no 4G icon and it wasn't showing of any signal. I got a message that informed me that there was no service. I spent a couple of hours working with my device but nothing. I went back to the wireless store and Courtney was there. She did everything but nothing worked. She kept her humor up and when I expressed guilt that I might have done something wrong, she was always positive and reassuring. She called, tried a different sim (sp?), even another tablet and still nothing worked. They had been out of Sim cards for the tablets and had successfully used the ones for the phones, but now nothing was working. It worked they day before. This young woman was not going to give up. The tech on the phone suggested that we return the tablet, but she just happened to see a Sim for the tablets and wanted to try one more time to establish a connection. I thought she, the tech on the phone and I were going to erupt into a dance when after working so hard "IT WORKED." I will never forget the smile that came ever her face, as well as the tech who I couldn't see, and me. No one could figure out why it didn't work, but she wanted to help me and she did, successfully. Sorry I made this so long, but she deserved my thanks and praise, especially it today's market when the customer seem to "interfere" with their socializing with fellow workers or are simply an interruption. I came in on Monday because my phone wasn't getting any service. I was helped by Adison and he was awesome he really tried everything to fix my phone.
