The worker named Lou ruined my store experience for me when I tried to return something from amazon. Not sure if he is just racist or sexist or what but I got in line. I was the only person in line as he was helping some guy already. They were smiling and having banter, typical customer service. Once that guy finishes off they tell each other to have a good day and Lou looks at me, his smile disappears and he walks away from the counter to go to the back even though it is obvious I am right there! So I go up to the counter to wait for him. He comes out, no smile, doesn't even acknowledge or greet me, doesn't even try to MAKE EYE CONTACT, and just started taping boxes. (The shift in personality from the previous interaction with the customer before me was sooo apparent it was as if Lou knew me personally and hated my guts or something) So I just stand there in silence. He eventually comes over without looking me in the eye and just says "you ready or no?" I assume he means the QR code for the return I say yes and as I say yes he walks away from me again, RUDE! Packages some boxes and them comes back without saying anything and only occasionally giving me side eye, he scans my returns. Another customer who I assume he helped earlier walks by and yells to him "I found it thanks again for your help!" His demeanor changes like a light and his tone of voice even changes he is all chipper and says you're welcome to the guy. Then side eyes me again and says nothing to me as he continues to scans my other return. His coworker comes and hes all nice and chatty with the coworker, then he slips away without another word as he starts to pack boxes the other coworker saw and came to finish helping me. Honestly he is lucky his coworker came over and was super nice to me and ended my interaction with kindness and consideration because I would have made a scene in that store and ruined his day like Lou did mine. They have name brands not , but I am a generic shopper. And they still have that stuff at good, not great prices. But, with the 25% off it was a deal. I purchased two sets of sheets, however they were somehow sent to a completely diffferent city within my state. when I finally found a phone number for customer service (not an easy task), they reviewed and confirmed all facts and then asked that I call back in six days as the package "could be redirected". After about three days I get an email that they have refunded he purchase to my account. Ypon checking my credit account, they had only refund for one set! Wait, what?! So i again call customer service, I could not make the customer service representative understand that yes, they processed a refund, but it wasn't accurate. "Walter" blamed it on kohls cash. But doing the math, it was still short. So finally, I asked for a supervisor. After much debate and bickering, she finally figured it out and forced a credit! Wow! They send my order to the wrong address, the items were on sale I would have liked replacements at the same cost, but that was not an option. THEY cancelled the order and tried to keep nearly 50% of my refund! I'm a long time customer and credit card holder. My account is always paid timely, but Kohls has convinced me to shop elsewhere! Thanks to Amazon no longer making it easy for Prime Members to return stuff at UPS store, I had to trek down to Kohl's in order to do what UPS store used to do. Even I was just a bit pissed off about internet companies changing rules everyday in the name of cost cutting and no longer focusing on customer experience, I was surprised that I did rather enjoy this detour. Never realized there were so many stores in Whittier with empty parking lots in the height of Christmas season. Friday, 10/4 just before 6:30pm, Just walked in to drop off an Amazon return and the kid at the desk, NATE, was clearly annoyed and literally began shaking his head and smirking as I walked up. It seems he was trying to leave after he finished with the person in front of me. He wrapped up my return transaction and while the receipt was printing he slammed the plastic sign holder in front of me on the counter that said to go see the associate in kids for Amazon returns. This review is for the Amazon return employees. I returned two items that I purchased a week prior. I gave the employee both items, he gave me a receipt. I told him the items were purchased separately, two separate transactions and he said he was aware. It's been 2 weeks and Amazon said they haven't received the second package. I came to pick up a last minute Christmas tree which I thought kohls had curbside pickup but you have to go in. I had my baby with me in his stroller I wasn't sure how I would get the tree out to my car alone. The very kind gentleman at the customer service/pickup desk brought out my order and offered to help me to my car. Absolutely worst location to return and or pickup an online order. First of all the lines are different. You can't return and pickup at customer service, at least during the holidays you can't. So I waited 26 minutes to return something while 2 sloth like workers helped a line wrapped around the men's department. Then I had to go wait in another line to pick up my item I ordered online. When I asked why, they said it makes things more efficient, uhm for WHO? Obviously not the customers. Because efficient would be to be able to do both at the same time after waiting in the same line. La Habra does it and guess what, the line is never ever wrapped around any department. At La Habra I was in an out in no time, isn't that what the online ordering experience is supposed to be? My daughter was falsely accused for something she did not do while working here she started working here for the holidays, but she did so well that her boss decided she wanted to keep her she never called off. She even came in on her off days. She started to have regular customers that look forward to seeing her, her boss went on vacation all of a sudden things started looking down. One day she came in. And she was called to come upstairs to the office when she walked in and she seen this guy. She's never seen before while working there and he was falsely accusing her of scamming for kole's dollars my daughter was devastated. If you know my daughter, she is the most innocent sweet person that I know and I'm not just saying that because I'm her dad but it's 1,000,000% true she was on her honor roll at her school. She got accepted to seven universities she don't run the streets. She goes to school and goes to work and stays at home. If you look up the word, good girl, you would see a picture of my daughter. I raised her the best way that I could her very first job was here at Kohl's and it was also her worst experience working there. The guy in the office said that he don't know how she was still in the kole's dollars but they pinpoint that it was her. My daughter didn't even know what they were talking about everything she did. It was on the honest and professional, I believe my daughter was targeted because she was black how she go from getting the job to be permanent to be falsely accused of something. She did not do to my knowledge. There's no Black people working in there and they used her to make it seem like Kohl's dollars is very popular to have Teenagers and young adults. Don't shop at Kohl's like that the store is designed for basic people not for everyone, but they wanted to make them close dollar seeing popular so they wanted to target a black girl while doing it. My daughter was devastated. She couldn't believe that someone would lie on her and do this to her. She was so sad for months it took me a while to cheer her up and get her back on her feet to let her know that there's cruel people in the world not everyone can be trusted starting with this place Kohl's, I just want you to know where you shop at not only did they target my daughter, but they target her parents. I frequent this store often. I find it to be a pleasant shop experience overall. The regular employee staff are patient and helpful at registers, both with purchases and returns. The Sephora staff has been satisfactory. This is also my preferred Amazon return store and contrary to prior comments, the staff working Amazon returns are attentive and quick with the process. I love coming to this Kohls since it's so close to home. They always have some kind of deals that you can score. Sign up for the rewards so you get $10 off every now and then. You can normally find a coupon online for your purchase. This store is two levels and has always been pretty organized. They are good with taking returns too even with no receipt if you have the card you used to pay with. I also like when they do their Kohls cash back of $10 after every $50 spent. I am able to shop for clothes, perfumes, shoes, house items, and toys here. One of my favorite places to shop! This is located in the Whittwood town center near Sears. read more

Worse location. I was there for a pick up that was not available at my usual stores Cerritos or Downey . I did a little shopping after my pick up and was able to find about 7 really good deals in clearance. When I was ready to pay the staff let me know that all items where not label correctly and she made a comment "sometimes people put another tag on top ". I was so mad and I ask to speak to a manager and she did nothing. I was so upset I left all the items and even returned my pick up. What an idiot! . I far as I am concern they can check the cameras.. The store always looks clean and organized. When I need to find someone to help me it seems for the most part that I can find an associate pretty quickly. I visited the shoe department today and I was a little disappointed that there was a small selection of shoes in my size 7. I was able to find some shoes in my size however you know how it is when you can't find the pair of in your size and you really really want them. Ugh!! Worst experience ever!! I had gift card and rewards coupon to use by the 31th of October. I went in on the 31th to redeem my rewards coupon and use my gift card. When I got to the register the cashier said my coupon was redeemed at the La Habra Store on the 4th of October. I told her that wasn't correct and didn't make any sense because I worked all day and wouldn't drive to La Habra after work because I work in Whittier, live in Whittier, and there is a Kohl's department store in Whittier. She offered no help or solutions. I made my purchase. I called customer service after I left to inquire about this purchase on the fourth (suspecting fraud). I spoke to Daisy and she was no help at all. She had me on the phone for 20mins trying to find my account. After losing my patience with her I asked to speak to a supervisor several times but she wouldn't transfer me to one (it was like she was scared to do so)?! I ended up hanging up very frustrated. Next, (same day) I created an online chat with Ciro K. he made things WORSE!!! I told him my situation. He said he could help and fix the situation. He said I would need to make an online order so he could access my account, apply rewards coupon, and adjust my in-store purchase. I told him I don't want to have to return anything or have anything delivered to me. He said don't worry, trust him it's just so he can access my account. He said in 7 days you can check your account again. A week later I have a new online purchase on my account for $65 for something I never received or purchased in the first place!! I then again have to call back and deal with this situation. I immediately ask to speak to a supervisor and this time I was connected right away with one. He again listens to my problem. After hearing my ordeal he says this is fraud. At this point I am done with this situation and just comply to his solution that it's fraud (when Kohl's employee created this predicament). He comps me a $20 incidental coupon for this whole ordeal (that I only have two weeks to use). I get a letter in the mail informing me this can take up to 60 days to settle. WhatThe poorest customer service ever!! Update: 12/7/19 So this sad and pathetic story goes on. I just received a late payment charge on my account!!! The only charge on my account is the one being disputed. The letter from the fraud department specifically states pay card as usual except disputed purchases. Update:12/30/19 I am beginning to see light at the end of this dark mess. As I stated before they tacked on a late fee payment. I called to inquire about this and the first person I talked to had an aggressive demeanor (because on his end I was in the red). He tried telling me all this nonsense and I just cut him off and told him that isn't correct. He immediately transferred me to Marjhaa. I finally spoke to someone who knows what they are doing!!! I explained my situation again and she agreed that fraud didn't sound right and she opened a dispute claim on my behalf. Marjhaa also got my late payment removed all in one call!!! If I could have transported through the phone I would have given her the biggest hug ever!!! Thank you again MARJHAA!!!! This has been a nightmare of a mess because Kohl's Customer Service Agents do not know how to do their job. Train your employees better Kohl's!!! read more

I like Kohl's as a replacement for the old Mervyn's dept. stores. It's pretty close to that style of store that i used to enjoy shopping at. I always find some good deals here and they do have some great choices in men's clothing for me. Also handy to find a lot of my other needs here like shoes, jewelry, kitchen, bed & bath items. Make sure you sign up for the Kohl's rewards card for those Kohl's bucks and deals. Also like the email coupons they send to my phone for even more savings! I used to prefer the kohl's on imperial but the service has gone downhill. The imperial kohl's do seem to have better clearance but this kohl's customer service outshines them. I was at the la Habra kohl's and was helped by Ashlee from the jewelry department. She seemed like she wanted to get me out of there and didn't want to sell me the ring. She then told me I could order the ring on their kiosk. Ok? Wouldn't it be faster for her to assist? I ordered a watch online that came from this store. The watch came shipped in a soft bag with absolutely no protection which resulted in the watch being damaged and thrown around in the bag. The watch in question was $150 so more than enough to warrant a box and quite frankly I've always received a box with other cheaper watches so the expectation is there. I purchased a bag here last Saturday around noon. I was on my way home to Riverside from my boyfriend's place who lives close by. I often shop at the Kohl's in Riverside, so it's interesting to compare the two stores. The one in Riverside has a messy layout with sale items all over the place and their clothing areas are not well organized. It is also smaller but the customer service at check out is much faster. This Whittier store has a much nicer, spacious layout and easier to find items, but the service was almost nonexistent. I waited about 15 minutes in line (I was the third in line and about 12 people behind me). There was only one check out open and they were calling a for another cashier several times. After about 7 minutes another employee opened up a register. I hate to think how this store manages around Christmas time!? They sure need additional staff at the weekend. read more

My mom is a huge fan of Kohl's! At first I was indifferent but with Kohl's cash and coupons I could see why she goes so often. I used to go to the Kohl's in La Habra so it took me a while to get used to the layout, but I didn't have any complaints. There's two floors and it seems pretty well kept. My review is mainly for their service. My mom wanted to return a shirt to get a different size but we couldn't find it so we ended up buying another shirt that had the same price. The return was easy and very simple. Once we got the return though, my mom wanted to look around a little bit more just in case. As luck would have it, we found the original shirt and with the correct size she wanted! We felt bad for going back again for yet another exchange but the cashier was very understanding and even said it wasn't a problem at all. Great service, pretty nice deals (especially if you combine with coupons), free WiFi, and AC! They know how to push the right buttons read more
