I've had the home internet with verizon for 3 months now and STILL cannot even make an online account to use any features. At first I used the "make a one-time payment" option each month, and even that stopped working. It no longer accept my account number at all even though the internet is still working and being used. I have spent several hours on the phone and did multiple physical visits to the upper arlington store Over the last 3 months. Their completely useless reps are not only are the condescending and act like I just don't know how to sign up for an account, they still refuse to escalate to someone higher up who might he able to fix whatever bizarre glitch is happening to my inaccessible account. Since I refuse to call and spent several minutes just trying to get past their answering machine robot (which also absolutely awful) just to pay my monthly bill, I'm cancelling and switching to spectrum, who I despise with a passion. Verizon is so incredibly terrible I'd rather have the shitty service spectrum has, which I didn't even know was possible. read more

For a communication company it sure is hard to get customer service to TALK to!! Signed up for a call back had to schedule 3 days out and they never called. My billing has been wrong every month. I have had to go in each time. Cody helps a lot but others just get me through to online help and leave me. 1 1/2 hrs each time! Now I am being charged for a phone I handed in that they can't find. I will have to pay $300.00 and fight to get it paid back. Well there, many more people come in with billing problems. Coverage is good but they need to get better at customer service. read more

Awful experience. I can't believe Verizon hires these people. Completely unprofessional in every way possible was obvious they had never been in customer service and had no idea how to do simple tasks the job required. The best comparison is the store was a first day training for highschool dropouts trying to work at verizon. It was horrible. Its unfortunate you have to leave a star to get your review posted, but if thats what it takes... My husband, myself and my daughter used to LOVE coming to this location, always busy, the staff was friendly and so helpful. Recently we bought our new iphones here, thinking they'll help transfer everything from the old iphone to the new iphone, NOPE. They're saying they have "bad internet service" (verizon wireless?) and they can no longer do it there, so they send you home with instructions, and once you've done that, you "wipe" the old iphone and send it in a mailing box with label, they do nothing. All they do at this store is sell the phones, accessories, thats it. If i had known service was this lousy, i would have gone to Best Buy or Micro Center on Bethel Road trained by Apple and they'll transfer your information to the new iphones! read more

Verizon is the absolute worst most grimy company ever. I was with Verizon for 5 years paying high prices just to switch to spectrum "much better price". I "closed" my account with Verizon... so I thought. I went into the store closed my account in September the rep was chill and said I was all good. Any normal human being would consider this a closed case. Oh no it just gets better three months later I'm getting late collection and a freakin debt collector saying I didn't close my account. So when you close your account with Verizon make sure you don't have any other hidden lines or really just stick it to the Verizon rep and say my final bill is for the deactivation of the account. Gotta make it clear for them or you will get legally robbed but a multi-million dollar company praying on your downfall. So I just recommend when you go to this store put your car in park.. then back into reverse and drive far away... love ya thanks you horrible company read more

It's a toss up which company is more incompetent- Time Warner/Spectrum or Verizon. For now I choose Verizon. The store at Reed Rd. & Henderson has been a clown show for years. I keep beating myself up by going back because it's close to my home but no more. In fact, I may switch to AT&T. There is always a line in this store, and often there is no one around near the door to check you in, so you have to hunt down an associate down just to get on the list. When you do finally get help, they are slow and untrained, so every transaction here takes 45 minutes. Once, a few years back, a package of accessories was added to my new phone purchase by a sleazy salesperson without me knowing it and I was billed $24 per month before I discovered this. Another time, my account was hacked in another Verizon store in Florida and $1200 was added to my bill. A few calls to Verizon and a visit to this store netted nothing but "You should call the police." My last visit (ever) was the same old, same old. There were 4 customers being helped when I walked in, and one person waiting. After 40 minutes, no progress had been made, so I left. Do yourself a favor, and try the Verizon store on Tuttle Parkway. They were fast friendly and knowledgeable. read more

I NEVER go into this location for reasons: Dishonest Product Representation THREE TIMES my family members or I have gone in here and dealt with this bait-n-switch. Let me save you the hassle: NOTHING IN THIS SHITHOLE IS FREE If ANYONE in this fucking dump says they will throw in so much as a turd "for free" with your upgrade, it's bullshit. The device may be free, but it will need to be on a new phone line plan of some sort that will cost money monthly. They won't tell you this. I have heard it with my own ears. You will be asked, "Want a free tablet with that upgrade? It won't cost you anything, and your bill won't go up." Technically, your bill for the specific device won't go up. What WILL happen is that you will unknowingly add an extra line to your account that will add a $40/month to your total bill. Technically, you have 15 days to return it and opt out without the early termination fee, but by the time you notice it on your bill, you are past 15 days. Then to get out of it you have to spend $175 early termination fee. I would name the fuckers that pull this shit in this particular store, but I would have to list all of them. They should be ashamed at this deceptive, criminal bullshit. I just had to go in there to deal with this after my parents fell for this for a "free tablet". In the past 4 years it was a "free hotspot" and a "free second phone". I can't believe these guys haven't been shut down for this. To remedy this past tablet crap, I came in there pleading the case that my parents had been lied to, got them to commit to taking off the "initiation fee" that was never talked about in the FREE TABLET pitch. They also said the $300 equipment fee would fall off. 2 weeks later my bill arrived, only $270 was taken off the bill as the purported "equipment fee", and the $40 initiation fee was still there. I marched in, and a dumbass spent 30 minutes typing his screen before he gave me some more BS about the discrepancy in the equipment fee, and then agreed to take off the $40. Today, a few days later, the $40 is still on the bill. If these people are going to be so casually gangsta about the bait-n-switch, maybe they will respond to a gesture of their own level by me bringing a bat with me the next time I need to speak to someone over there. The poorest trained staff I have ever seen. We were there to purchase my wife and Iphone. We were there for 2 hours on a Saturday and walked out without buying a phone. The woman waiting on us was not trained, and to her credit she asked numerous people for help. Because they work on commission, no one would leave their customers and help her. She finally got the phone activated, and the voice mail did not work. Another rep blamed it on Apple, and told me to call them if I wanted. I did, and guess what? There was no issue. The phone was obviously set up wrong. I repeatedly asked Dustin to help us, and he refused. The manager Adam walked over for about two minutes, and then disappeared again. Why he did not go help the woman we were working with was beyond me. Poor management, poor training and terrible customer service. Starting from the top down. They may be nice to you to sell the phone, but their team support was pathetic. Because we had to go to Verizon because her phone is a corporate account, after a recommendation from the Apple store, we ended up at the corporate kiosk inside Easton by the movie theaters. The three men working there were phenomenal, all very well trained, and knowledgeable. and worked with each other. I was afraid of the Kiosk, but they told me that to work there because you are basically on your own, you have to be have more experience because there is no one around to help you. I'm a longtime reader here, but it's time I got more involved with hopefully thoughtful feedback on yelp. Having just had a negative retail experience elsewhere in town (different industry). I wanted to begin on a positive note. Yesterday was the the third time I've dealt with this store. Interesting what a contrast to my same-day negative one elsewhere, particularly in retrospect. In short, the people at this store are very helpful to deal with and do the right thing on behalf of their company for their customers. From a company standpoint, I have been happy with service from Verizon in most every case. In particular at the Henderson location, the store manager, regretfully whose name I don't know or can't hint - she got involved remotely to get a defective phone replaced for me remotely in NYC while I was without. During yesterday's new phone purchase, I was assisted by a patient, thorough and knowledgeable account manager. "M". You know who you are. She was professional in the time she spent, and in knowing and explaining the devices inside and out. And in attempting potentially user-helpful upselling, without being pushy or shady, I felt she represented the company well all the way around. Thank you for several positive experiences. This is how this store works: One guy (the manager) who knows what he's doing and six other guys who run around trying to find the manager to ask him how to do something correctly. I spent 2.75hrs at this store just to add a line to my account. The guy who helped me was working with a broken left hand...so by default I became a part-time employee during my visiting punching numbers into phones, opening packaging and holding his ipad for him, it grew tiresome. This guy had me purchase a $25 "sim card adapter" to transfer data from one phone to the next. All it ended up being was a micro sd card adapter I could have gotten at Target for $6, it ended up not working anyway and he lost all of my pictures and contacts............all this after nearly 3 hours. This guy repeatedly explain things incorrectly and didn't even know how to print receipts without someone else helping him. Despite all this I will say that although thoroughly under trained, everyone who helped me was very nice. It seemed like they knew they were performing with inadequate training and tried to make up for it with friendly customer service. I will not return to this store. read more

My wife just left the Henderson rd store where she received ZERO HELP, she has a Samsung Galaxy 10 that in our house and neighborhood has no to little signal and the store would not honor what the verizon tech said for them to do. she has spent the last week and half trying to get a phone to work with out dropping signal. they have replaced the sim card they have sent out two phones and nothing works. All they keep saying it is a known issue with that phone. the tech on the phone suggested that the store credit her the phone she has and start a new contract on a new phone. there response was there is nothing wrong with your phone your just want the latest phone. She had them do a factory reset and add her replacement sim card and sent her on her way. she got close to home and the calls dropped again and signal was 1x. PROBLEM IS VERIZON DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS ANYMORE. AND I SOLD VERIZON PHONES FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS. Best of luck for those who shop this and other verizon stores. read more

Did exactly what they asked of us and wasted over another hour today. They just stand around on their tablets when customers are sitting around waiting to be called. Overall, workers are incompetent. If I could rate 0/5 I would. Do not fall for their "promo" offers!!!! (Get a lawyer before going in there to record and go over every detail!!!) I just had the WORST customer service experience, after hours in store and in the phone taking to multiple levels of their representatives, I've gotten nowhere! The sales reps at this store are shady and dishonest! My boyfriend went in there on farther's day to upgrade on his phone, since he had free upgrade offer, that's all he wanted, he made that clear as we are expecting a child in August. He mentioned that a few times, we want to save $, we have a child on the way. They kept throwing this "promo" at him and basically telling him that he'd be crazy to not take it. (Offered him his phone upgrade along with a free case, charger, iPad and Bose speaker). He was reassured a few times that these items were all free! Next day I go in because of the great offers and I switched to Verizon after being with AT&T for over 13 years. They offered me similar "promo" offers. All the while being reassured that these items were free! (I got a newer phone, case, charger and Fitbit). I couldn't believe it, these offers were so great! After all of the reassurance we got in store, a few days had passed and we get an online bill/statement showing we owed around $800!!!! We thought it was a billing error, so my boyfriend went back in to go over it. They lied to us!!!! The only resolution they offer is to return our items and only after all of the hassle of talking to many reps they offer to waive the restocking fees! That's it! All I wanted was what they promised, they can't honor what their salesmen offer as a "promo" because it was never a promo to begin with! read more

RUDE staff every time I call to ask them a simple question. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced anywhere. I was ready to spend my money at their store, but the woman on the phone literally told me she "didn't have time to help me" and hung up. I made a call today to ask how I can become an authorized user on my mom's account. I was told to go online and figure it out..... OK. I only called to ask for a little direction in how to do so, but whatever. Then after 'figuring it out', I became an authorized user and called the store again just to verify that I was able to now go into the store to pick up and activate the phone I ordered and had shipped to the store, before driving all the way over there. I was put on hold for a few minutes..... no big deal. Then, without even saying hello or even attempting to figure out what I was calling for, this very RUDE woman picks up the phone and tells me word for word, "I'm in a big time crunch and I don't have time to make this work". THANKS FOR NOTHING BITCH. I refuse to ever go back there for any reason. I only wish I could send this complaint along with the others directly to the store so they could see what people really think of them. I understand retail can be frustrating, but you think they would be nicer to their customers. Especially when you work on commission. read more

I wish I could give this store 0 stars. They are deceptive, dishonest, greedy, and manipulative conmen posing as salesmen. I went into this store asking to upgrade my iPhone 5s to an iPhone 7. I have always gone with the 24 month monthly (usually $20ish) payment plan deal with Verizon, locking you into two years with the phone and monthly installments. It works well for me since I cannot afford to purchase the device upfront. The men at this store told me that I couldn't do that, that instead I had to pay $300 upfront for a "bundle" of services - iPhone, case, screen protector, iPad - BUT not to worry, because they would lower my month bill by $20 after all of this. After insisting that I only wanted to pay a monthly bill + upfront activation fees, and that this shouldn't be more than $50, they told me this wasn't an option. I knew something wasn't right, so I checked to see if there was another Verizon close by with good reviews. I found the folks at 6820 Sawmill Rd and they were wonderful. They told me that I could absolutely do what I was asking for, and that the guys at this store were clearly just trying to con me. I highly recommend never stepping foot into this pathetic excuse for a store, it will only end in you getting ripped off or in anger and frustration. read more

I have lived near this Verizon for years. The most recent time I went there will probably be my last. Over the years, each time I change plans or upgrade my phone there was inevitably some error, usually an extra service they sign me up for without my consent. The first couple times, I thought I wasn't being clear enough with them, the second to last time I went there several years ago I went over the plan details very carefully with them and there was still a mistake that cost my family money. Most recently I went there, knowing to be careful, thinking it has been years and surely things would have improved. No, I get a new iPhone with their trade-in deal, and without letting me know they signed me up for an $11 a month insurance-type plan. I caught it early online and cancelled it, but seriously. It really leads me to wonder whether the employees are incompetent at their jobs or are doing this intentionally. If you do your business here be very careful and check your plan carefully online immediately after. read more

This store was horrible! I took my phone in because I was having problems with the microphone - my voice sounded muffled to those I talked to. After a considerable wait, one of the reps was free to talk with me. I told him I wanted it fixed or replaced - per my insurance plan. He took my phone in the back and tried making some calls to other staff members to see if he could be heard. It was muffled. He used an aerosol to try and blow out any dirt in my phone. Finally he returned and said it couldn't be fixed. He then preceded to tell me my phone cover had a small crack in it, which likely would invalidate my warranty. If I tried to return it per my warranty plan, they would notice the crack and charge me for a new phone - up to $500. OR, I could buy this other more inclusive warranty plan and only have to pay a $160 deductible to have it replaced. I told him that I didn't believe my phone had a crack in it when I came in. I grabbed my phone and left. I then went to the Verizon store on 256 in Reynoldsburg. I was warmly greeted at the door. They took my phone and made phone calls to establish there was a problem. The woman then took the back off the phone, used a tiny tool and removed a piece of pocket lint from the microphone. And just like that - my phone was fully functional. I just left this location after waiting 2 hours to be helped. The employees were moving so slowly with customers and not even helping them in the order they came through the door. I had a problem with my cellular service, and explained that when walking through the door. After waiting for 1.5 hours for the people that were there before me, and some few that walked in after were helped, I finally had an employee helping me. While I was being "helped" one of the employees nearby explained to a customer that things seem to be moving slow because they're in no rush because they are paid hourly. The customer he said that to and myself were in shock. After my phone was not even being examined or fixed for 45 minutes because my "help" was texting on his own phone, I was finally told I had to take to Apple so they could take a look at the internal parts. Not ever coming back, and if you find several hours in your day to be valuable, I would suggest you do not visit this location. read more

I've never gone to this store and had bad service. 2 days ago I went in with my bf to resolve a very complicated situation that involved merging our plans and switching phone numbers. This was a lengthy process, which we fully expected given our circumstances. The store was really busy, but the staff was really organized in addressing everyone's needs one at a time per sales rep - the way it needs to be done. When it was our turn our sales rep took the time to understand what we needed and what our concerns were. He took the process as far as he could before having his manager step in to access functions in the system that only management members can access. Apparently they way we were merging our plans was not a service that Verizon provided previously to two weeks ago. Instead of telling us they couldn't do it or that they didn't know how to do it, they walked themselves through the process and figured it out. Went in three times and talked with three different people, got offered three different deals. I changed plans and the promised plan did not occur- it was $47 more then quoted. They can not explain anything and will not assist when asked. Gave me run around and cant pull up in computer! They are not to be trusted. Only gave them one star due to negative stars are not available. RUN AWAY from this store and staff! They are only concerned with making the sale they drop the ball on service! This store is a joke they lie about try and trick you to make money. They don't care about you or any problems you have with your phone unless you plan on buying a new one then they are all ears. If you are already signed up with Verizon good luck to you and watch out you don't get talked into anything you don't need or want. If you are not with Verizon yet steer clear! Ive had it with their gimmicks and lies. At the very least go to a different store other than this one the staff is generally pretty hard to deal with. Also be sure to go to a corporate store as they have other retail stores that sell you refurbished phones for the same price and for some reason don't have to tell you(Mall kiosk, and other brick and mortar stores). Always make sure you are getting a new phone and not a refurbished phone. read more

In 2016, the concept of traveling and mobility should not be one hard to grasp for an organization such as Verizon Wireless. Visited this store to either get a replacement or an upgrade OR to have a replacement or upgrade shipped to them directly for me to pick up in a few days as I am traveling and lodging in various locations throughout my time in the area. The store manager -- Dustin -- despite it being in his discretion to do so, refused. Do not go to this store hoping to receive any sort of competent assistance. These people are here to sell equipment, not resolve issues or come up with solutions. If it were possible to give this store NO stars, I would. The only decent thing I can say about this store is it's directly across the street from an AT&T store where you can actually get great customer service from a staff of people who have the ability to think without a script. read more

I went to Verizon to get an IPhone, I left empty handed. The sales rep was rude and unhelpful, treating me like I was a child --- I'm 27. I had a long wait to speak with a sales rep --- which wasn't very useful since I already knew what I wanted. Shouldn't I be allowed to just go straight to the counter, tell them what I want, & get my phone? Then upon speaking with the rep, found out that I couldn't do anything. I share an account with my parents and since they weren't with me in the store, I couldn't do anything. I explained they live in Cincinnati & it would be extremely inconvenient for them to be in the store with me. I asked if I could call them and they could give their permission over the phone, he said no. He kept saying that he'd get fired for that. However, I have replaced two or three phones and signed the new two-year contract all without my parents needing to be present. read more

Horrible store. Do not go here! I have been a loyal Verizon customer for over 15 years, with phones for all of my family. I wanted to do an upgrade on my daughter's phone. We waited 1 hour in the queue while the reps on the floor chatted it up with the more attractive ladies who walked in long after myself and my daughter. The woman behind the counter was horrible. When she did talk to us, it was about how everyone hated to be there, and how working for Verizon sucked. We seemed to be quite an inconvenience for her. Another thing happened which was sadly hilarious. We had arrived at 7 pm, and they finally got to us when the store was closing at 8. A woman, her husband, and her infant were waiting there for the next rep. The woman stepped outside with her infant for some fresh air. An employee locked the door, and refused to let her back in - and her husband was still in the store. She begged to be let back in, but they absolutely refused to open the door. The husband, who was really po'ed by this time, just left and said "forget Verizon." Nice selling, there! An employee told us that the store had been robbed several weeks before, after the store had closed. What did that have to do with letting that woman with her infant back in? Do not go to that store unless you are a hot college girl - they will get right to you. This was my worst experience in a Verizon Corporate store EVER, and I will NEVER go back into one of their stores. read more
