After spending about 3 hours at our local Verizon store (mostly with Nima), being talked into to the purchase a new IPhone 8 for me and keep my husband's phone the way it was - both under one account. - We got home and found my husband could not make any calls from his old phone. We had to call Verizon and geteverything re-set so I could use the new phone and husband could use his. While we were in the store, we were being helped by Nima who was working with us while helping others, and sitting in front of us listening to other conversations from people having problems. He would frequently get up and go over to see if he could help. I mentioned our frustrations with one of the girls who had been sitting next to us. She told me that that treatment is normal as they interact with each other if someone appears to need help. Eventually at the end, he left us altogether and had another rep come over to transfer all info. from my old phone to my new one and worked with the sim cards. Well....we now find from the tech at Verizon that the phones were switched wrong after all the time we spent with "Nima". The rep.on the phone also offered us a "loyalty program" which was not offered or mentioned in the store where we would get credit after spending about $300. Husband is still on the phone with Verizon trying to get our problem resolved and it's been 25 minutes and she is still having trouble straightening this all out for us. read more

Cellphone carriers... they're like arm pits: everyone has one and they all involve varying levels of hairiness. I was with AT&T since the dawn of the personal cell phone but my husband got a new job where AT&T sucked and all his colleagues had Verizon so we went to this shop to investigate the plans. I do a fair amount of research online and know my usage pretty well (RIP unlimited data days with AT&T and t-mobile) so alongside the regular call/txt details I knew we'd need about 2GB of data each. Salesman Corey was very knowledgeable and friendly. He listened to our situation - just the two of us, 2GB data each, husband wants new phone while I brought my own device and wanted to save my upgrade for when the new iPhone 6 came out - and made a game plan. He helped my husband upgrade to an iPhone 5 very easily and put my line on a month to month so I could save my upgrade until ready but we shared everything and had one bill - awesome. The not so awesome part was dealing with Verizon when we tried to involve my husband's 20% discount from his employer. My husband is British but had been in the US for over a year at this point with a working SS # and CA DL - all the things that should be easy for Verizon to verify but it wasn't.... like at all. I felt so bad for Corey... He had to take a copy of my husband's SS card and ID and run down the street to Kinko's to fax it to Verizon corporate (they wouldn't take email? wtf?) WITH HIS OWN MONEY (why doesn't this technology store have a fax?) and the first time, it was too dark... the 2nd time, it was too blurry... 45 minutes later and by the 3rd request from the crotchety old git on the other end of the fax I just said "Forget it!" and gave my well-established SS# to make myself the primary account holder... I felt so bad for Corey - he was trying so hard for us - and that 20% discount was something we wanted but we also wanted to move on with our Sunday so we just left it. A+ for Corey... super nice guy and new his stuff. A+ for Verizon's actual cell service - rarely do I have an issue these days. C for the very few parking spots in the lot and this location is on the busiest street in San Clemente so be prepared to park and walk. F for the owner of this store not equipping their employees with the tools to make the customer happy aka a fax machine IN-STORE. F for Verizon corporate being so ridiculously unreasonable about approving my husband's SS/CA DL so we could get our discount. Still 8 months later, we haven't been able to make him the primary account holder because of this stupid SS# standard. Its ridiculous. read more

They are helpful in the sense that you came for a phone and/or service and you can get it done. However, you do not get to see your folio/receipt until after you paid. They do not disclose any of the charges even when you ask. I will not be returning to this store. read more

I wasn't sure what phone I wanted, but Rafik was so helpful in picking out the right phone for me that was within my budget. The biggest misconception is dollar/service, where we live in a world where everyone runs to save that extra dollar. But what if I told you for that few extra dollars and if not very much comparable prices. You can obtain far more superior coverage, and professional customer service around the clock!! I was pleasantly surprised, and excited to have come across this Verizon store. First of all beautiful location, right at the heart of the city. Plenty of parking spots, and lots of activities to indulge in as well. Back to the store. Ideally what won me over, is the ease of the transitioning process. Moving from another carrier to Verizon has never been so easy. The lovely people at this store, are amazing with explaining the process, pinpointing all the charges, and building a clear road map to what I assure you, the best service/coverage a carrier can provide. Professionalism indeed is when you care about the customer, and this store screams integrity which inreturn shows the great leadership/management, and great corporate atmosphere. I am so happy with my purchase and visit, and this store has yet to let me down, with all my follow up calls with questions that came up after my visit. I went to ask some questions about my plan and the salesperson got me to switch to a new phone (which I had been in need of) he was very friendly and convincing. He said there was a great promotion going on with the new LG G5. I received a free car charger, a phone cover and a "free" tablet. I told him I didn't want the tablet because I already had a tablet on my plan and wanted out of the contract because I don't use it. He said it wouldn't affect it, that the tablet was free and that when my contract was done (which would be done in 3 months away from the date) the tablet contract would be cancelled automatically unless I renewed it. He also said my bill would go down, which is why I decided to go ahead and do the early upgrade. 4 months later I'm still being charged for the tablet, and actually realized he had added a protection plan to the tablet which I didn't have before, I'm now stuck with it for 2 more years unless I pay the cancellation fee. I highly recommend staying away from this location!!! read more

I have a lot of good things to say about the staff at the Verizon store on Camino Real in San Clemente. First of all they are always polite, patient, and helpful. Today I came in to get help with my old iPhone 7 because it would no longer share photos from I iCloud and started freezing up. Caitlyn and another associate helped me get started with identifying the problem while the store manager was trying to see if he could fix it and gave me a couple options on how to proceed. In the end, I left with a new iPhone with all of my content still intact. It was such a relief to have these tech pros take care of everything even helped to find passwords! Thank you! read more

Where shall I begin? If I have any advice regarding this store it would be RUN AWAY. I was absolutely LIED to by one of the sales managers Neecon. I was lied to about a promotion involving two new iphones and a tablet for $59.00. I was lied to about the tablet line fee being waived because my brother works at UPS. I was lied to about my brothers UPS employee discount on the tablet line as well as the data package. Turns out I cannot be the primary account holder or the discount will be rejected. I SPECIFICALLY asked them if the account needed to be in his name for the discount to apply. I was lied to and told that NO, it did not matter who the account holder was. I was lied to about our new phones coming with a bonus 2 gigs of data. No one mentioned that it was attached to not only my new phone but to the large data package and if I downgraded I would lose my bonus data. The bonus data was one of the major reasons I upgraded my otherwise perfectly good Iphone6s. He also told me that my phone was going to break soon and that apple intentionally designed their phones to break down when the new version (iphone 7) was released. I am now locked into a contract for the next two years to the tune of 200.00$ for a tablet that I was told was going to be completely free. Free from the line fee, free of cost which it is anything but. I was lied to about the cost of these new phones and only found out about a known "glitch" when all other parts of the transaction were done.(relinquishing our old phones, paying off my old phone) I was taken and I was intentionally lied to by a person that allegedly represents Verizon Wireless. After nearly 3 hours in-store I was asked to leave both my phone and my brothers phone so they could keep working on everything. I had to give all passwords to both devices which was disconcerting. Now I realize he was keeping our phones hostage so we could not change our minds about upgrading. After returning to the store after an hour break we got to spend another 2 hours getting two phones set up. Then after two hours I was then sent home with a phone that was not even activated not to mention that NO ONE TOLD ME I was walking out of the store after 6 hours with a NON ACTIVATED phone. I spent over an hour trying to figure out how to get my new phone to work. I could not even call tech support as my phone was not setup. The next day I called and asked to speak to a manager other than Neecon and was told that I should be happy because I actually got everything cheaper than i was "originally" quoted. I will spare you the rest of the drama because there is WAY more to this story. I have been a Verizon Wireless customer for 19 years and I have not had this kind of experience in all those years. I am writing this in critique of a specific authorized retailer as well as a specific sales person Neecon. Today I had the pleasure of an hour spent on the phone with Verizon only to be told that my 14 day window of opportunity has closed and I literally have zero recourse in this matter. My only option was to file a formal complaint against this store and the manager who assisted me. I completed the complaint today. I hope that your sales commission was worth lying for.... I hope that you lose your job for lying to customers while representing Verizon Wireless. If I could give negative stars for this authorized retailer of Verizon you bet your ass I would. I will NEVER go to this store again. Edit: It is way too late to reply to my rating. Nearly all the comments following my post are complaining of the exact same BS sales tactics. These people are lying sacks of crap. NEVER GO TO AN AUTHORIZED RETAILER. Go to a regular Verizon owned and operated store as they have to be compliant with Verizon's actual rules and regulations. I came here on black Friday to check out the phone deals. While i was purchasing my new phone a homeless man came into the store and was acting very strange making everyone talk to him. The man came up to me and was bothering me while the girl was trying to set my phone up. He was yelling about his birthday and his daughter died. Noone asked him to leave me alone. The manager did not personally apologize to me until i called later confused about my bill. They need to invest in security guards if they aren't capable of making unwanted people leave the store. read more

Living locally I have been to this store a few times. I recently came in to purchase the new Samsung S10 5G(A big upgrade from my Note5). I was helped by John, he explained my options and the best way to execute what I wanted. He saved me $20 a month and now I have unlimited data!!! I would recommend this store over any other Verizon store I have been to. The whole process took about 30 min including a data transfer. They are quick, smart, and willing to explain the way a typically confusing process works. I recommend 10/10!!!! read more

When I first went into this store and got a new line of service and a jetpack, I should have known it was a big mistake when I received 2 separate bills in the mail soon after for two separate accounts. I remember the employee bragging to me about how he had the highest sales in Southern California.....well I wonder why?! Instead of signing me up for one line of service and internet, he signed me up for two different accounts. Bigger BONUS for him I guess. So once I contacted Verizon's customer service, they merged the accounts and fixed the problem. I paid the combined balances and started off with 1 account with a zero balance. Won't you know it, a few months later I get a bill from a BILL COLLECTOR saying I owe Verizon money because they never merged the bills properly. Thanks Verizon and the idiot from the store that messed it all up to begin with. After that I found an employee at the store that was nice and quite helpful and found it was best to deal with him from then on. In December 2012, I signed another 2 year contract with this Verizon third party store and added another new line and an iPhone 4. The iPhone was free with the 2-year contract. My son since then had cracked the screen on this iPhone. I decided that I was going to take the iPhone to the Apple Store at the Shops at Mission Viejo and pay the $150 to have the phone replaced. At my dismay, they informed me that the iPhone was not originally a black iPhone, it was WHITE. I said that's not possible, I got it new from Verizon. He said, sorry, there was nothing they could do, it had non-Apple parts in it and ALL WARRANTY was VOID. What the hell was he talking about? Well I will tell you! Because I did not sign up for the 2-year contract and get this iPhone at a Verizon Corporate store, I got a refurbished iPhone! Are you kidding me? Why on EARTH would I sign a 2-year contract for a USED phone? I was under the impression that it was new when I got it. I went down to the store, spoke with an employee and asked why I got a used phone. He said, "sometimes they give new ones, sometimes they give refurbished ones". What the hell kind of answer is that?! I could have bought a refurbished Verizon iPhone off the internet and not have had to sign a 2-year contract. Let's get to the REAL shocker of this story! They weren't willing to help me out or do anything for me at this store. I was told to go use my insurance plan that I had originally purchased for this phone. I left, mad as hell. I took my phone to a new place in Dana Point that fixes damaged screens on iPhones. The technician there used to work for Apple. He took apart my phone and as he did, he showed me that EVERY SINGLE PIECE inside that phone was an after-market NON-APPLE part!!!!! So basically the only part of that phone that was an actual iPhone was the outside of it! He said it was the 4th phone he had worked on from this store. SHOCKER!! Needless to say, I am super pissed and disgusted by the things that go on at this store. I have contacted the newspaper and they are interested in doing a story on the untrustworthy things that stores like this do to their customers. Not much to review... I had just researched a month to month mifi through Verizon online and thought I would try to support a local business. I walked in and the young man trying to help didn't seem to understand month by month vs a 2 year contract. He seemed especially confused since he told me there was no charge for the device with the no contract plan. I asked him if he was sure and he involved a more seasoned salesman. Once again, it was up to me to explain I only wanted a month by month and didn't want to sign up for a contract. He said I could just suspend the account instead and still sign up for a contract. He also told me the device would be too expensive to buy outright. I told him online it was $99 to purchase and he said they didn't do that thing here. I stated that I would buy online since they obviously did not want to sell me anything today and left. I'm not sure if it is only sold online, if the group of three salesmen just didn't know their products, or if it was just some cheesy dishonest sales going on, but they have me wondering if I should buy anything at all from Verizon... disappointing. read more

Sold me a phone ("Pantech") that only worked for a few months. Cost $350.00. Signed me up for the insurance, too, but when I brought the non-working phone back, they said the deductible was over $200! Right... like I am going to pay another $200 for this piece of junk? I then asked to cancel the insurance since I wasn't going to ever use it, and they said they did but didn't ever cancel. (Learned that 8 month later.) Also sold us on a tablet that died an early death, too. "Bundles, bundles, bundles!!! Buy this and it will save you even more money! And we will add this!..." That is what I heard from these folks. I don't know if they are dishonest or just incompetent, but I will never go there again. It might take a while to talk to someone on the phone at Verizon, but they have always given me much better service and not tried to rip me off. read more

Terrible customer service today. Corey couldn't bother putting his two cell phones down to even make eye contact and let me know he would be with me "in a minute". He finally said how can I help you (with both phones still in hand and no eye contact) and I said well I can let you finish whatever you are doing there first. He said no go ahead. Still managed to keep one of his phones in his hands while he typed my number in. It didn't get any better after that. I left with none of my issues resolved and none of my questions answered. read more
