This was genuinely some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I went into the store for what should have been a simple discount adjustment. Somehow, instead of lowering my bill, the employee increased it by about $100 per month. When I asked how that happened, rather than simply explaining it or trying to fix it, she became argumentative and dismissive. At one point, I had to explain that I don't work for AT&T and that I was simply a customer asking a reasonable question about why my bill had just gone UP $100 when I came in for a discount. What I expected to take five minutes turned into nearly TWO HOURS. I finally left with the discount applied, only to realize my phone had stopped working after the changes they made. So I had to turn around and go right back inside. When I walked back in, the same employee was now arguing with an elderly woman. She was telling her that she "didn't have to help her" and was "going out of her way" to do so, even though the woman was literally the only other customer in the store. I wish I had gotten the employee's name so I could be more specific, but she wasn't wearing a name tag. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What made this experience so bad was the attitude when customers simply asked for help or clarification. A basic account change turned into a two-hour ordeal, a $100/month billing increase that had to be corrected, and a phone that stopped working. I've never left a store more confused about how a simple customer-service interaction could go this badly. read more

We had our phone stole from wal mart parking lot off pico, so imagine how frustrated we were. Couple hrs. Later we decided to get a new phone at this store &we're so grateful for the efficient & friendly manner we were treated. Can't remember the young man's name(it was last Thursday) we came back the next day to finish up the sale, & the same young man & Ruby helped us out patiently & professionally. I had the worst cell phone service in San Clemente with AT&T with dropped calls and very expensive monthly payments. I'm so glad that I switched over to T-Mobile!! Now, I get all of my calls and no dropped calls with better pricing and perks. read more

I asked if they could help me make a call and they said no. I had no phone. I drove to the Pico store and they were so nice and helpful. Wouldn't recommend this att I came in with phone insurance and warranty and still advised me to pay out of pocket instead of repairing my phone. Ended up filing the claim myself and getting my phone repaired free of charge. If you do business here I would suggest you intake information and work around the problem because they couldn't help me what so ever other than showing me the websites. read more

I stopped by 3:40 PM Sunday, note on the door "At lunch" will return at 4:30 PM. So I returned around 4:40 PM. Only one employee, I need a new phone, he told me to wait because the safe was locked. I waited about 10 minutes and a customer came in and began to help them. Never asked me to hold on or apologizing, I waited about 40 minutes total and just left. Terrible service. I am always worried about going to a phone store, not knowing what the experience will be like or how the salesperson will be. Today our family went in, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Roman, who I believe is the manager, was the one who took care of us. Just before Christmas I bought my wife a new iPhone 16 Pro from Belky B at an AT&T retailer on Harbor Blvd. I had business near there and it was convenient. On Dec 27, because the San Clemente locations are close to home, we went to this store (selected due to bad reviews at the corporate store nearby) to trade in the old phone and get help activating the new one. I called before going in. Upon arrival the man I had spoken to was busy and handed us over to another rep, then left the shop. This other rep was non-communicative, did something on the old phone, handed it back, instructed my wife to put in her password, then went to another customer. After a bit, I interrupted to ask about transferring data. He was too busy and suggested to do it at home or at the Apple Store. Finally, today New Year's Eve, after several calls to Apple Tech, the new phone is now fully ready to use. We should have gone back to Belky! read more

Have to update my review to one star. Wish it could be zero stars but I need to share my story. I was scammed by Alexis Hernandez, who was the manager of the store in December 2019. We went in to transfer a new plan from Verizon and trade in our iPhone 8's for credit towards new phones. Alexis told us the promo they were offering was for just porting our numbers over from another carrier. NO trade in required. Well 5 months later we are still being charged for the new phones that we were told we wouldn't be. I've called ATT store multiple times. The new manager Josh is not helpful. The ATT customer service department is not helpful. Everyone is telling me there's nothing they can do because we were supposed to trade in even though Alexis said no trade in necessary. Absolutely awful customer service and cannot believe we were scammed in such a way. read more

The people in the store really work hard to satisfy their customers. Unfortunately its hard for some people to realize that the retail store front has NO INFLUENCE over AT&T's policies or rates. None. Stop harassing them. If they are on hold for too long trying to do something for you, or the wait would be too long because the store is busy, or you need to finish something the next day, they do it. You don't have to go back. They'll take the info, have you call to confirm, and they'll do all the work. Its a retail store front that takes care of their customers the best they can inside their corporate guidelines. read more

I can't recommend this store. I purchased a new phone from them and after two weeks I decided to return it for a refund (AT&T offers a 30 day return policy). Over the years I've returned a few phones under these guidelines and never had a problem. However this store refused to take back my phone claiming it was damaged, which it clearly was not. I went to their sister store in Mission Viejo and they took it back immediately. The manager said, "this phone is perfect." Unlike the San Clemente store, they were very professional and helpful. It wasn't a good purchasing experience and obviously not a good return experience. Drive a few extra miles and go to any number of other AT&T stores. I know I will. read more

I have never had a good experience, with the best being only subpar. The staff is not very educated and has more than once given me misinformation.
