    Absolute rip off! Quoted more than Apple to replace the screen on my iPhone. Don't waste your time or money at this shit hole

    Dishonest, Unprofessional, and a Complete Bait-and-Switch Experience…read more I don't usually write negative reviews, but my experience with Pros Phone Repair was so frustrating and dishonest that I feel the need to warn others. When my daughter and I first walked in, we were quoted what seemed like a fair and reasonable price to fix her phone. She had saved her own money and was so happy to finally get it repaired. The employee clearly stated the price multiple times, and we left feeling good about the decision. We dropped the phone off and came back later to pick it up. The repair was done, but when it came time to pay, the price was suddenly much higher than what we were quoted. There was no prior call, no explanation, and no attempt to honor the original quote. I immediately questioned it and asked to see the video footage of our initial visit -- with sound -- to verify whether the price had been my misunderstanding or theirs. I made it clear that if the video proved it was my mistake, I was more than willing to pay the difference. Instead, I was given an excuse that it "takes time" to access the video from their Ring camera system. Days passed, and despite me calling multiple times to follow up, no one ever returned my calls or provided the footage. It became obvious they had no intention of resolving the issue or being transparent. To make things worse, we later discovered that the phone's camera stopped working after their repair. I called again to try and address both problems -- the price discrepancy and the new camera issue -- but no one ever answered or got back to me. At this point, it's clear this business operates with zero accountability. It felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic: quote one price to get the customer in the door, then change it afterward and dodge responsibility when questioned. Adding to the concern, many of the so-called "positive" reviews for this store look suspiciously fake -- vague wording, no details, and profiles with no other review history. After my experience, it's easy to see why they might feel the need to pad their ratings. If you value honesty, integrity, and basic professionalism, stay far away from Pros Phone Repair. There are plenty of honest, reliable repair shops that stand behind their word -- this is not one of them.

Mustis checked to be sure everything was still working before handing phone back to me. He offered a screen protector as well. Super duper gentleman! It's better to get Apple devices repaired from a reputable place when you don't have Apple Care. Apple shows no love once you paid for your device & warranty expired. Stop by their booth and just talk w the guy. I'm sure it gets busy so I lucked out today.

I was excited to be paying 1/2 of what Apple would've charged for the screen replacement and was encouraged by the seemingly 5 star rating in Yelp. When we picked up the iPad we were told to make sure to "let it dry" for a few hours and that the work was warrantied. We waited until the next day to allow Dubs Jr back on it to ensure it dried. He was ecstatic to get back on it and to his beloved Roblox but mentioned the touch screen was a little glitchy and the home button seemed off. Fast forward a month and the touch screen is slow to respond and needs to be tapped multiple times. Returned to Smart Repair and they said there may be a piece of the previous screen inside but not to worry they would replace the screen again. They did and we took it home but this time waited over a day to allow for the glue to dry. Two weeks later the touch screen and what ever was being used kept freezing and then the screen went black and hasn't been able to turn on since. I returned once again but this time the kiosk was gone. I was told by mall management that Smart Repair will be gone during mall renovations and there is no date given for an estimated return. I tried calling, leaving a voice mail, and texting and have not received a response. I now am left with a completely unusable iPad. I figured screen replacement would be an easy fix but apparently not.

    This is for the Mission Viejo one since the San Clemente one closed!!!…read more Which was where I thought I was calling. Unprofessional and disorganized!!! I brought my computer here a couple of months ago. I drop my laptop off on a Wednesday afternoon. I walk in and its a little busy. Good sign. I wait a couple minutes and I'm finally greeted by a young guy(not the owner). He says it would be another minute. This man walks in and starts asking about some gadget he had heard that they made there. So the young guy starts talking with him. Shows him the gadget. 10 minutes later he comes back to help me... Isn't there an unwritten rule for first come first serve for your customers??? The guy didn't even buy anything. I start explaining the problem I'm having. He thinks it's the back light. I tell him it doesn't work even when it's plug into a tv with HDMI. So he says it could be the motherboard but they would do a dialogistic. So he plugs in my laptop with my cord and looks at it for few minutes. Then has a girl give me a claim slip while saying they will give me call within 3 days. I leave. The Following Wednesday (Full 7days later) I call and leave a message Just asking for an update since I had heard anything form them. Call again on Thursday (day 8) speak with a girl who tells me the tech wasn't in but he would give me call. So Friday (day 9) I call again no answer, left another message. Saturday (day 10) I call again! Finally I get a hold of the tech. He tells me he as already called and talk with me. Why would I have called you everyday for the past for 4 days if I had talked with you? I ask what my options are. And again he says "we've already talked about this and that I had told him to back up the pictures and documents" now I'm Restating sir you haven't talked to me. But I ask "if that's what you can do, how much more will this cost?" He says he doesn't know and would have to call me back. :/ No call back! AGAIN! On Tuesday a full 13 days after drop off I just go in. I wait about 10 mins and am finally helped. The tech comes out (also happens to be the owner). In a rather rude and annoyed tone he Again tells me he called me and I told him to back it up but I then called back saying not to... When I just wanted to know how much it extra it would be. After debating this again in person I'm fed up and over being treated like idiot. I just want to pay for dialogistic and be done. They get me rung up and I have my laptop in hand and realize I was not given my cord. So ask about it. The owner rudely say he has a universal cord and doesn't take cords. Ok that's a great policy if only your guy had told me that two weeks ago when I left it here with my laptop. My laptop was dead so I decided whatever I didn't need anyways. So I left. Thursday I get a text message saying they had found my cord and that I can come get it. I went in Friday and they apologize saying the slip had been torn off the cord. I'm not giving 1 star because they did find my cord.
