This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with Verizon. We went to the store on my son's birthday to get him a new phone -- what should have been a happy and special day turned into one of the most frustrating experiences ever. We were helped by Victoria and Andrea, who offered us a "special discounted" home internet deal. It sounded great at first, but it quickly turned into a mess. We were given three completely different prices for the same service, and none of them matched what they originally promised. The dishonesty and confusion were unbelievable. When I tried to get clarification, Andrea suddenly walked away and said she wasn't going to help me because "she had nothing to do with it." After that, another employee came over -- even ruder and more disrespectful -- and gave my family and me the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The tone, attitude, and complete lack of care were disgusting. We ended up leaving the store without a phone for my son, and what should have been a fun birthday memory turned into a day he'll never forget for all the wrong reasons -- watching his mom be lied to, dismissed, and treated with zero respect. I even canceled my home internet afterward because the "great deal" they offered was nothing but false promises. The employees at this location -- Victoria, Andrea, and the other rude associate -- have no professionalism, no empathy, and no respect for customers. This is the second time this has happened at this Verizon store in Reno. My glass screen protector just cracks and shatters for no reason. I don't drop my phone, I don't mishandle it--it just breaks out of nowhere. The one that broke today even cut me when it shattered. On top of that, they overcharge like crazy. The prices here are ridiculous compared to what you can get on Amazon or other places. And to make it worse, the customer service is not the best. There's a tall, big guy who works there, and he is extremely rude. It's honestly not worth dealing with the attitude, the overpriced products, or the risk of getting hurt. ***This location does not honor appointments*** I made an appointment 2 days ago to upgrade my phone at this location. Upon arrival the 2 associates were busy with customers and 2 other walk in customers were waiting. I checked in on the app for my appointment and it showed there we 2 walk ins waiting and I was next in queue due to me having an appointment. At 11:30 the first associate finished with their customer and came over to those of us waiting to inquire who was next. One of the walk ins stated they arrived first, at which time I stated I had an appointment at 11:00 am. The associate told me there were only 2 of them working on this day, therefore they would not honor any appointments. When I asked the associate what having 2 associates had to do with honoring appointments, he couldn't answer me. I then asked why they accept appointments if they aren't going to honor them, again he had no response. I then clarified that I had made an appointment days ahead of time, yet I was going to be treated as a walk in, and thus my appointment had zero value, and the associate stated yes that is the case. I do not understand the rationale, but I am now looking at which carrier I will be moving me service to. read more

By far the worse experience with Verizon. Waited 15 minutes to be put into a queue, and was told rep was just finishing up and be with you soon. 45 minutes later and one hour after walking into the store, rep said sorry for the wait. One hour and that included listening to one of the rep's talking cute dog pictures, breed and training. After sitting down asked about my account, phone options. Now I'm in the store a little over 1.5 hours. After my selection I'm told it will cost an additional $40 for transfer of data. When I asked for it to be waived based on my wait time, she answered no. I said, I am paying for the phone, you keep my account and you won't transfer the data. She responded perhaps I should go to the Apple store. I walked out and will never return. Went to Trader Joes cashier said how's your day and I said it was great until I went to the Verizon store. She said, I went there once and will never go back for similar reasons. Need I say more. Store needs a major revamp in customer service and customer wait times. read more

Buyers BEWARE OF THIS STORE I bought a new phone to add a phone line on my account the end of April. The phone could be returned for a full refund within 30 days if needed. 28 days later I took the phone back in store and returned it and was told it would fall off my account next billing cycle. 2 months later, the phone was still showing on my account and my phone service was suspended. I went in to have my phone service turned back on because I use my phone for working...BUT they refused until I paid the balance of over $1000 for the phone I returned to them 2 months ago because it was still showing on my account. They assured me I would see the refund in another couple of weeks. I've spent over 10 hours during 5 different trips to the store talking to different employees and managers, bringing my receipt in and repeating my problem over and over, and have gotten no resolution. Just a lot of wasted time. Here we are in August...the store has had the returned phone for 3 months now and still has not returned my $1000. I've been spreading the word to my clients, colleagues and friends to avoid this store (and their sparks location) at all costs and go to an authentic Verizon store, not an authorized dealer like this. Would have given them a zero star if I could. went there to return the 5g home internet equipment, like I was advised by their online chat, phone line, and their corporate store. I even showed them the screenshot of my conversation about being able to return the equipment at store but they just flat out told me they can't do anything and refused to help. Save yourself! First and foremost, please do not go to this store. Only go to company store and not an authorized retailer in which this company is identified as an authorized retailer. They cannot provide you the direct customer service as a company store can do. How do you I know you ask, well let me tell you. Over a year and half, I have been trying to resolve a bill promotional offer that was contracted in. They did not initiate the appropriate paperwork in a timely manner and when it was finally done, it was outside the said promotional timeline. Although over 20 days of follow up during the initial request and confirmation of a backorder during the promotional period has been confirmed by corporate and email, they neglected to inform me that it was not placed. I went back to their offices three times to get a resolution with no avail and in turned informed me that it would take about a couple of bill cycles to see the results. They informed me that they couldn't take action and to talk to Verizon directly through the 611 feature. It has taken me numerous amount of hours over the phone to get a resolution on the matter over their derelict duty of customer service and incompetence on the matter. One last tidbit, Verizon can get your bill updated and confirmed through the app, so we shouldn't have to wait to see results. read more

Terrible service. Do not recommend this store location. Go to another Verizon location if you are bringing an Apple product from the Summit Apple Store to have it added to your Verizon account. The store representative had a negative attitude and an apparent problem with Verizon customers bringing products purchased from the nearby Apple Store to their location. It became immediately obvious the representative did not want to deal with the watch we just bought from the nearby Apple Store. Apple Store representatives warned me about this Verizon store's reputation for poor service and suggested going to another Verizon location. I should have listened. I ended up going to an actual Verizon store near the Meadowood Mall. The professional and courteous representative added the new Apple Watch to my account in less than 10 minutes. No issues. Highly recommend the Verizon Store on Smithridge Center near the Meadowood Mall instead. The service is much better. read more

Went into the Verizon Store to get a sim for my new phone, which I have done once before without a glitch. All new people in there, looked at me like they didn't know what I was talking about. Finally a gentleman gave me a SIM card and told me to call Verizon to get it hooked up as their system was down. Unable to hook up the SIM through the internet. I will try to get someone on the phone tomorrow because of the holidays. Everyone was sitting around doing nothing. I was the only patron in the store. I went to this store requesting the promotion I was seeing on TV Christmas 2023. Phone, ipad and a watch on Verizon. For 2 of the iphones on my account. I left the store with belief I was also getting same promo for my samsung. After 20+calls to Verizon and 20+visits back to the store I learned I did not receive the promo I requested I received a promo the store had going I received older watches, Ipads & tablet. The employees at this store have lied to me every time I have gone in I informed them I am still being charged for the tablet I'm always told it will take a couple weeks for credit to show. 11 months later I'm still paying for it. They also neglect to inform you of setup and go fees for each device totalling $ 400 for the 9 new devices and I still had to pay activation fees. I was able to get activation fees reversed with no help from the store. Call Verizon directly save your money and sanity. read more

Edited: Zero starts. OUTRIGHT FRAUD. I went in for some new phones and lines. The sales guy outright lied about a number of things and was extremely pushy on upsells. At checkout, he ensured I could not read anything before showing me ONLY the signature block of the electronic check out. He told me that if I returned the phones everything was cancellable except a restocking fee. The phones didn't work out. In reality he charged the restocking fee, an additional $120 of junk fees, AND HE NEVER DISCONNECTED THE LINES WHEN I CANCELLED THEM, THEREBY CREATING A NIGHTMARE FOR ME. I HAVE ALERTED VERIZON HEADQUARTERS THAT THE REASON THEY LOST MY BUSINESS AFTER FOUR YEARS WAS SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE OF VICTRA VERIZON. There is a Verizon-owned company store (not a franchise like this place) on McCarran. If you want to stay with Verizon, then only go there. As for Victra, I sense a court case upcoming. read more

Josh Rahimi at the Summit Verizon store just helped me purchase 2 new Apple phones. He was amazing. Did all the work of putting on screen and camera protectors (which is a lot of work) plus phone cases etc. Helped me understand how to use our new phones, sent in warranty pics and info. So I didn't have to figure that out. He's a perfectionist and I really really appreciate that in a person. I felt he took great care of us and it was the best customer service I've had in a long while. read more

This store is a disaster. The wait is eternal and they are commission based, so they are there to just add on a bunch of accessories to upcharge you. They installed lense protectors on 3 phones and 2 fell off within 4 days and now it's my problem. I had to ask for a receipt for all the accessories I bought they did not give it to me with my items. Do not go to this store.. every thing is way too expensive and you can just get the stuff on Amazon for 1/3 the price. read more

The situation: iPhone X was starting to slow down and not perform as well as it used to, fairly new phone so I figured I might be able to take it in and see if I could get some help. Upon arrival: Nice young man greets me, I let him know that the phone is slowing down and not performing as well as it used. I was unable to finish my sentence when the young man let's me know, unfortunately your going to have to call 611for that. I asked, what if I want to upgrade? Whole different conversation, the salesman's eyes lit up a like a baby that was given a lollipop. I'm asked to sit down and if I need anything, a water or some coffee. Upgrade options are explained to me and we end up getting a Google pixel and a Chromebook. Downside to the story was, when I get the bill it's a whole different story that what your told in store. There's a sheet that they make you sign to cover themselves but it's not what your told. There was another line added to the plan with the Chromebook, this was not explained. Insurance costs were not the ones I was told. I pointed out to the young man that the iPhone I would be trading in was cracked and with a broken camera lens, I was told that it wouldn't matter and that I would get full value, also wrong. How unfortunate when customers are taken advantage do to wording. All in all, this is not a corporately owned store and because of that it appears different rules apply, stick to corporately owned Verizon stores. read more

They said it would take 2 weeks to come in, 3 weeks later I called and they said yeah it's here though they had never called. This store is engaging in fraud and Verizon should end their relationship with this store. I was given a "free tablet" that they said would somehow save me money on my bill. Based on all the negative reviews of this store, I called Verizon to find out the real deal and was told I would actually be charged $22.50/month extra for this tablet. I was charged a total of $80.76 by the store which I believe was all for returning the tablet even though I returned the tablet within hours of receiving it. The store even lied and claimed that somehow Verizon was stopping them from removing the tablet from my account so I was forced to call Verizon who called the store and then Verizon forced the store to remove the tablet from the account. The store manager even lied and claimed he was the grandson of Evelyn Mount but I found out that his real last name was not Mount but it was Smallmount. He also had the nerve to say that the tablet was free after Verizon said the opposite and his "proof" was to show me a bill from Verizon that was dated before I received the tablet. read more

I went to this store to learn about the Gizmo watch. Sammi helped me. She told me about the rebate and the chance to reduce my bill by $10 a month. She accurately quoted the final cost and $40 upgrade fee. She discussed features and options with me for about 20 minutes. She ordered me a Gizmo watch with a blue band from the warehouse. She thought it would only take a day to receive but it did take 4 business days to receive it. I went into the store to check if Gizmo had been received. Jarrin found it for me. He was extremely patient when helping me delete the old device from the Gizmo Hub app and setting-up the new device. He spent over 20 minutes with me overcoming issues with passwords and permissions. I transferred my two lines from T-Mobile to Verizon on 19 SEP 2020, at the Verizon Authorized Dealer - Victra, at 13981 S Virginia St, Suite 401 in Reno, NV 89511. I received a paper flier in the mail, which stated that if I bring my own devices to Verizon from T-Mobile I will receive $450 (in Verizon gift cards) for each transferred line. When I got to Victra, I inquired about this promotion and was told that it was online-only and what they have is a $250 (in Verizon gift cards) for each transferred line. I decided to go with this, since I was already there and didn't want to have any lapse in service. I even accepted the $19.99 (per line) "Set up and Go Plus" fee they charged me at the store ($43.28 total), which was on top of the usual activation fee charged with the first bill. This honestly should've been a red flag already. Anyway, I was told that I will receive the two gift cards within 6-8 weeks, which was consistent with the online offer terms and conditions. Couple weeks later I decided to call Verizon to check if everything was correct - I was told by the representative that yes, he sees the promotion and that I will receive the gift cards in 6-8 weeks since sign up. I waited the 8 weeks and have not received anything. I called the main Verizon Customer Service line multiple times at this point and got no help, even mixed or conflicting information. I also attempted to contact Verizon through Twitter support account on 23 NOV 2020 where I was told to: "visit the store location for more information about the promotion they were offering" - support by "*AXL". I took the last advice and went to the Victra location again, on multiple days. First time, one of the representatives took my information down and said that my order was most likely submitted with wrong code and that it happened to another customer so they will fix that for me. Week later, nothing happened, I went to the store and waited literally 65 minutes, to be finally told that it is Black Friday week, so their Verizon liaisons are currently unavailable and that I will get a call back on Monday. Nothing happened, my wife went to the store again, was told the same lie yet again, and yet again no one called. Finally, being blown off by the Victra management numerous times, I went to a Verizon corporate store earlier today and I was told they do not have any tools, which would allow them to resolve this problem and the only thing they provided was a phone number to Verizon "Loyalty Team". Obviously, I am still interested in receiving the two $250 gift cards, however as this is the most absurd customer service-related situation I have encountered in the last few years, I do not think there is anything that can happen to change my mind about Verizon and the way they "care" about their clients and particularly this Authorized Retailer. read more

I just got home from this Verizon store, and wanted to mention how amazing Savannah was! She helped me in ways that I didn't even know existed. She helped solve software issues that I was having with my phone, which I never could've done on my own. She also helped me process an insurance claim. Buyer beware of hidden, undisclosed charges for exorbitantly priced accessories and assistance which you might think are being provided at no charge, or at some reasonable charge. $160 charged to apply a liquid protectant to a new phone I could by for $15-$20, and not even the screen protection I wanted. Various service fees not disclosed until we were done. I have never felt more deceived in a retail transaction. Go walk into a car dealership -- you will be safer. I have never before been motivated to leave a review. This one stings. On the upside -- staff are helpful. read more

Where to start...Worst customer service ever from a manager. If anyone from Verizon or the upper management from this affiliate reads this they may want to do a little housecleaning! Not going to name the store employee but he was very helpful to my wife yesterday. I had a further question when she returned home. She called this location that she was at and got a rude manager on the phone who couldn't answer a simple question. So patiently she calls back again after she was told the manager who needs to handle the inquiry would call but never did. SYDNEY the manager was rude, patronizing and hadn't even looked up the answer to her question when she finally returned the call. All we were doing was trying to switch from AT&T to Verizon! Giving them business! She hung up on us. Anyhow, do yourself a favor and skip this affiliate to Verizon. We called Verizon directly and they were great and helped immediately! Verizon will be getting a complaint from us regarding this affiliate store. Verizon and this locations owners should probably do something. Really loved my experience with alchisa but one of the workers kept leaving for a "break" and I saw her outside smoking by the parking lot! She kept mentioning her baby! I am shocked at her behavior but that she would do it so close to the store. Thankfully alichisa was able to get me a phone despite her coworkers constant breaks. read more

Tried to get my 72 yr old mom an iPhone at the Apple store. We had to go to the Verizon store first to get her added to my plan (she's already a Verizon customer). Thrilled to see a location right in the mall. Then things quickly went down hill We walk in and there is one other customer who's already being helped. Great! No line! There are 3 employees! Even better. But wait! We're greeted with "We'll be right with you". We then stand there while the other 2 employees take there time with whatever they seem to be doing. Finally one decided to take over helping the other customer so the first can help us. Still not a 1 star experience yet. We explain to the girl why we're there. I knew the smaller iPhone wasn't offered at the Verizon store. I had just upgraded mine to the 8 the weekend before (different location thank God!). She proceeds to badmouth the smaller phone saying it will be obsolete soon and won't work on their network when they finish the in process upgrade. Had my mom been in there by herself she would have fallen for this line of BS and gotten talked into buying a $700 phone. I realized then that this location is "an authorized dealer" and not a corporate Verizon store. These people are working on commission and won't hesitate to screw you over even if they have to lie! Skip this location and go to one of the corporate locations. read more
