This Apple Store has never let me down. Great service, experience, and products all around. I've visited here for MacBook service, product purchases, and just to shop. It's an Apple Store, so for the most part you know what to expect, but every once and awhile they have some fun non-Apple branded accessories. The value of Apple products is arguably poor in some instances, but I think the products are superior to many other brands you can buy, especially when it comes to laptops. The only downside of this store is that there can often be a wait to checkout or get service. I would highly recommend an appointment if you know you'll need service or if you're making a large purchase with lots of questions. There was one instance here where an employee argued with me whether a product existed or not, surprise... I was right! Other than that all of the employees have been great here. This being the only Apple Store in the area makes it a specialty store for sure, but still a great store offering a great experience. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service!! I had an issue with my iPhone battery swelling while I was staying in Lake Tahoe for a week. This was an urgent situation because I had to fly out of Reno and didn't know what to do. Since getting to Reno was not easy and this was the closest Apple Store, I called Apple Support beforehand to make sure I was taking the correct steps and would not make the trip for nothing or miss my flight home. Apple support told me to take my phone to the nearest apple store and that it would be treated with urgency. As an extra cautious measure, I practically had to beg Apple Support to connect me directly with the Reno store so I could receive confirmation from an actual store employee that they would be able to help me. Once connected, an employee told me to arrive before 2 pm and assured me that, given the swollen battery and my 5 pm flight, they would be able to assist me. The next day, when I checked in, I was told the wait would be about 4 hours. After speaking with Chelsea, the store manager (LIKE APPLE SUPPORT AND THE EMPLOYEE OVER THE PHONE TOLD ME TO DO), she acknowledged that my phone was not safe to fly with, yet acted as though the situation was not urgent. She showed absolutely no remorse when telling me I would have to miss my flight and made no effort to find a reasonable solution or even have the phone assessed more quickly. I understand that other customers were waiting, but this was not a routine repair. I had a swollen battery, needed to fly home that same day, and had specifically contacted both Apple Support and the Reno store before making the difficult trip from Lake Tahoe. Instead of receiving the help I had been assured I would receive, I was essentially told to wait 4 hours or miss my flight. Because of this experience, I had to fly home without a phone. When I later brought it to my local Apple Store, they repaired it within an hour and even told me I would have been able to fly with it. This made the lack of urgency, assistance, and accurate information I received at the Reno location even more frustrating. Chelsea was the worst and this store and their employees SUCK!! read more

Periodically I question my decision to purchase an iPhone instead of one of the less expensive brands, then after a visit with the Genius Bar techs my worries vanish. The age old adage "you get what you pay for" holds true for Apple's support after the sale. My phone is four years old, ancient by today's standards, but they still support it no questions asked. How many businesses can you say do that? Apple is far from a perfect company, that's why four stars, but their products are well built and reliable. read more

11/29/25- Finally pulled the plug and got the new IPhone 17 Pro max- 512 gb.. I think if my trip to Japan wasn't around the corner, I could have waited for the 18.. I loved my old 14 pro max - Ordered day after Thanksgiving and scheduled to pick up today- Went ahead of my scheduled appt. Staff - which we had several helping us at different stages.. They transferred my phone with no problems-. Had them transfer the hubby's 12 Pro max to my 14 Pro max- but found out his phone setting was not set to sync to the cloud- Luckily he doesn't have as many photos as me- so they were able to do a phone to phone transfer.. I made an appointment for 2:20 PM, and arrived Little early. Checked in with employee. Was told to have a seat and wait. After 40 minutes I asked a young lady what was going on. She told me that there was only one tech on the floor. I waited a while longer and finally left. I had driven over 10 miles one way so had to return the same. Not very well organized! So what now? We came in today to get me a basic computer and a few accessories. Our Apple Specialist was Harley who was wonderful! He was patient, knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond. Apple, you have a phenomenal employee in Harley! He was the best we have encountered in all of our visits here. Not only did we leave having a fantastic experience with the exact products we had wanted, but Harley made sure that we received my educator's discount they offer. I don't understand the three star rating here. Every time we come here we get great service that goes above and beyond the call of duty to assist us as we seem to struggle with technology changes. We make an appointment in advance, they are prepared for us when we arrive, they are doing training sessions that are both entertaining and informative while we wait for our updates to load into whatever our new phone or iPad might be and we never go away, thinking we didn't have a good experience. The day before her flight home, my daughter's best friend found that her battery on her cellphone was swollen. She called and navigated her way through apple support. We were told that the phone was not safe to fly with and that she should go to this Apple Store that was closest to the Reno airport. They explained that while they couldn't make her an appointment, she would be prioritized because of her flight time . Natasha called the store and was told that the manager would be able to assess the problem and prioritize her as long as we came in by 2. We got to the store before 1:00 and joined a slow check in line. We explained to the employee our dilemma and he told us as he had told the other people in line that there would be a four hour wait for an appointment. We pointed out that that would make her miss her flight. He blinked. A lot. When we asked if there was someone else we could talk to, he left the line and disappeared for a while. When he returned, he told us that the manager would be with us. We waited while he set up an appointment for the person behind us. We kept waiting as he set up an appointment for the person behind them. We waited and as he was helping the next person. Chelsea the manager who had been standing on the other side of the store, talking with another employee while we all waited finally arrived. We explained our situation (again!!) and Chelsea told us that the phone was not safe to take on the airplane. Chelsea has the personality of a robot and the expertise of a Walmart greeter. She offered us a "preferred appointment" in four hours. I asked how that was preferred when it was exactly what everybody else was getting for waiting in line. Chelsea told us it wouldn't be fair to have Natasha's phone be seen before the other people. She acted as if we had not tried to make an appointment, not followed the directions that Apple support gave us and we're just asking for special treatment. I asked Chelsea what we should do and she said that Natasha should just miss her flight. So helpful. Apparently I should just leave my daughter's friend in an airport in Reno. My daughter asked Chelsea if there wasn't another place that might look at the phone and only then did Chelsea think to suggest Best Buy. she also suggested that Natasha should just buy a new phone and return it when we get home. She said that there would be no problem with this, but at this point, nothing she said had matched with what Apple support had said, so we weren't sure what to do anymore . The only thing we knew for sure was that being in that store was a waste of time. I'm sorry that my vacation is ending, but what a relief it will be to be back by my CerritosApple Store, where they are competent and kind, and not the blinking gaping goldfish that work at this store.. read more

I went there to have my display screen on my MacBook fixed. I trusted them with my belongings only to learn they lost my hardcover case protector and keyboard protector. I left my computer (case cover and keyboard protector on it) with Owen as he was doing an update on it before they sent it away. I choose to have it shipped away to be fixed so that it could be shipped to me as I live 3 hrs away. When I received my computer back, I was missing my cover and key protector so I called the store to let them know. Long story short, I had to call them 3 days in a row, first be forced to go through Apple support just to get a hold of the store. They took no responsibility for my items going missing. They even said they looked at video footage where "they didn't see a cover on it." It was a clear cover, they would not have been able to see it from a video. They then insulted me by saying that "maybe I had put it somewhere at home." It was beyond insulting. I have never taken those items off my computer, it was not even a year old and I have kids, so those items stay on it at all times. It wasn't the money aspect of the situation, which I told the manager when he offered me a $20 credit in the store (again-I live 3 hours away and so that wasn't a solution). Went in to store to buy a new computer...VERY POOR SERVICE..many employees standing around. When I went to buy laptop computer I pointed out I was an educator (for 30 yrs) so I could get education discount. The employee left and said he would look into it. Waited for over 20 minutes. When I saw him walking across the store I asked him again. "Working on it" he said. (lie). Finally, after another approach I was told to talk to Nick, the manager. I summoned Nick. He knew nothing about verification for education discount mumbling something about some schools are accepted, some are not,, etc, yada yada. Obviously he did not know anything about discount. Visiting Reno for the week and had some extra time available so I booked a Daily Session at Apple Shayden Summit "Taking Charge of Your Privacy on iPhone". The sessions are FREE so can't beat that value! My battery was low and an employee offered me a charger to use during the session - what great service! Jose presented the session and I learned SO MUCH! It was packed with some great information. I appreciated it so much that I returned 2 hours later for the Photography Workshop - also FREE! I didn't spend one dime at this Apple store today yet left with so much education about how to use my iPhone smarter! I highly recommend this store and Jose! I stopped by the Apple Store specifically to check out the new iPhones. Right as I walked in, I was greeted by team members who were friendly and ready to help. This location is spacious and well laid out, clearly designed to handle large crowds--and it does so very efficiently. Being the only Apple Store in the Reno area, it gets busy, especially during product launches. But as expected from Apple, they had a smooth system in place for the new iPhone release. There was a line wrapping around the store, and the staff was moving through it quickly and efficiently. Every time I've had an appointment here, they've been right on time and got me in and out quickly. The products are beautifully displayed, making it easy for anyone to come in and test things out hands-on before making a decision. I really appreciate that you can browse freely--usually one team member will check in to offer help, but you're welcome to explore on your own too. Today I decided to skip the line and will be placing my order online for in-store pickup. Pro tip: Make an appointment before coming in. This store serves all of Reno and the surrounding areas, so it's usually busy--especially on weekends. read more

I recently came in to get some Apple TVs for an installation. My office had ordered them and I was able to check in and pick them up very easily. I came in another time to get the new M4 Mac Mini for a project. Same thing, I was able to place the order and pick it up the same day. I like how easy it is to stop in to pick up a product, or chat with an employee about the new tech. read more

I recently upgraded my IPhone to the new 16 Pro. The conversion process was efficient, professional and very helpful. Carlos was the Apple representative who helped me and he made the whole transaction great. I was at this Apple Store today and while the help I received was great. I couldn't help but notice the older man behind me was being yelled at by an Apple employee . The man had to be at least late 70s or even 80s. The issue may have been true that Apple couldn't help him, and I also heard something about Apple not being able to fix his hearing aids. Which all may be true. But the employee could have met this man with compassion and tried to help him in a different way. Maybe the older man wasn't being so nice but he doesn't deserve to be treated that way. And should have been sent in the direction of a place that could help him. today i called the local store to see how busy they were to go buy a new phone. I called the 775 local number, got a recording that i was able after at least 5 minutes to get the recording to transfer me to the Reno Store. No, i waited 10 minutes for AKmed to answer the call from another country. All i wanted was to talk to a Reno local employee, someone who speaks english. I wasted 25 minutes on the phone before i found out that Akmed was asking me these ridiculous questions becuase he is not from the store and he does not know customer service like a STORE employee would. All I needed was a new battery for my two-year-old iPhone. First visit: "Without an appointment it will be several hours before a technician can see you." Second visit with an appointment this time: "It will be four hours before a phone technician can install your new battery." Just ridiculous! And it takes me over an hour to get to this store! I bought a phone and then decided that I wanted to upgrade to a different phone. They were great about it. Approx 5'10" to 6'00" tall, white hair, wearing green Apple shirt, no name tag. I came into the store to purchase two Apple gift cards and he approached me and started to ask questions: Who the gift cards for? Is it for you? Are you going to give it to someone? Back in the day, Apple Stores used to be like coffeehouses. You'd wander in with your Macbook, sit at desk, and basically mingle, as much as you can tethered to your laptop. The bandwidth was exceptional at the time. But don't try to download the latest OS while you're there. They'll think you want tech support if it fails and, worse, think you're an idiot for not bringing your backup drive. Apple Stores have and haven't changed quite significantly since then. My iphone 16 needed a new part and they said after they install the part all I have to do is sign into my icloud account, I did not receive any help setting up my iphone after the repairs were made. I set up my phone when I got home and had me wait 24 hours to access my phone, after the 24 hours were up I tried to access my icloud and now I have to wait 3 days for verification when I need my phone for the military since I am joining the service and only receive calls and texts from my recruiter, I wish they would have helped me instead of dealing with a phone that I can not use. read more

I made an appointment for my computer on Wednesday this week (6/26), and they had an opening the same day that I called for the appointment. This is convenient, and if you make an appointment there's no wait. The wait can get pretty long with no appointment, even if you come in early. Both times when I came here for help it was excellent service. Super convenient when I took the time to make an appointment. They helped me with the computer and had excellent communication and listening. The store itself is nice. It's cool seeing some of the new technology that's coming out. read more

I've been here a few times since my first visit (that wasn't exactly stellar) and feel the need to update this review as my most recent visits were much better than the first. I've learned from my mistake the first time and have made all my purchases ahead of time on the Apple Shop app and selected in-store pickup. By the time I arrive during my check-in window, my purchase is ready to go and I'm out the door. That's exactly how I like to shop. The customer service has always been pretty good so no worries there. I just wish there was a little more cohesiveness and clear at the check-in area as it can be confusing to those who've never been to an Apple Store before. read more

As far as Apple stores, one is pretty good. There are generally more people available to help than there are customers, and they offer lots of classes for people who need help learning how to use their products. Parking is plentiful right in front of the store and they have their own restrooms. This makes it convenient to shop here as you don't need to trek all the way down to the main center facilities. read more

Ugh...I despise coming in this store. The whole system from checking, giving your name Tiger on a list, in to waiting for some grade A hipster with the brains of a newt to "help" you, to the crappy customer service and awful checkout process, makes my eye twitch! We came in today to buy a MAC Book Pro, set of AirPods Pro, & package of 4 Air tags. We were "greeted" more like halted by a customer service representative, asked our names to be put on a list. We then wandered to the MACBook pro to wait to be helped. 2 associates asked if we were being helped. We explained we just wanted to buy the computer, air pods and air rags and leave. Nope still had to meander while at least 5 apple D-bags wander aimlessly doing nothing but sucking in air. Then finally someone figured out we wanted to spend a good amount of money and decided to help us. The next wreck was we have military ID for the discount and we have a tax exempt letter. Well you CANNOT get military discounts in the store! Only online purchase qualifies for military discount. So, even though we are ordering online to pick up where we are exactly standing now...they will not override this process. Next they don't quite know how to apply the tax exempt letter to online purchases so we have to send them an email to reimburse us the tax. To say that I'm skeptical about ever seeing this money returned to us is an understatement. The entire process is a joke. This company is infuriating and I question why we buy their over priced technology. Yet here we are, buying a computer for our daughters 18th birthday and college. I'd avoid this dump joke of an establishment. read more

You will not get your phone serviced or fixed here the day you go even if you have an appointment. Awful service. Made an appointment and drove all the way there to get my battery replaced. Was told I had to make another appointment because "people don't always know what they need". They finally admitted they didn't have time to replace the battery. Was told to I have to go back another day and drop off the phone for two hours. Am I supposed to waste an entire week to get a battery replaced because of your staffing issues? No apologies.
