Sunday afternoon. Thins are slow and quiet. In walks a customer who has been sold a SIM by another ATT store and subsequently they've lost the use of their business phone, with no help other than ATT mailing out a SIM. Here's where Victor and Ali come in. Victor was patient and listened to my story, and tackled the situation one piece at a time - first, get me back up and running with a new SIM for my existing phone. Linked to our account, the phone was back and workin in ten minutes. Next, I wanted to get a SIM for my Android tablet - it's unlocked and part of a car entertainment system. Victor worked with Ali - and they both came out to set up the tablet for best performance on ATT's network. The whole process wasn't easy or intuitive, but they made it a pleasant experience. Nobody wants cell phone troubles, but I'd drive from the Bay Area all the way back to Reno just to work with these guys again. Superlative service, friendly, and damn good folks. AT&T is one of the worst businesses I've dealt with signed up with a new business account. One of their slimy employees added a extra line with a personal phone for himself on my account and went unnoticed for a year been battling with corporate AT&T, because everyone in their office is incompetent and can't do anything to help me still haven't gotten my thousand dollars back. read more

I will never buy another device from ATT again. They don't honor the promos they offer, or at least that was my experience. I pay them $425 a month for my family phones and the store offered a promo "free IPAD and apple watch" with a phone upgrade 15 months ago. I took advantage of the promo and they took advantage of me. They charged me full price for these devices and I got ripped off to the tune of about $1000. At least 10 trips to the store to speak with the store manager and multiple calls to corporate customer service did not help. 2nd strike: A year ago I also asked them to suspend the line (turn it off) on one of the IPADS. They only suspended the device (so it didn't work anymore like you do to a naughty teenager) but they kept charging me and I didn't notice until now. They blamed me because I used the word "suspend" and they would not concede even though there has been no usage for a year. Silly me, I should have noticed on the bill and I didn't, but bottom line, I'm done with ATT after 30 years. I recommend you find another provider. read more

Wendy did a great job getting us moved over from Verizon to an AT&T business account. She even uncovered some discounts we qualified for and made sure they were on our account going forward. Pricing was slightly cheaper than VZW and the service has been excellent so far. They offer a variety of service plans from low to high usage which suited us well as not all users on our account have the same needs. I've been a customer of AT&T for 20 years and I've never had any problems until recently. My son wanted to turn in his Iphone and cancel account due to poor reception. He had a broken screen so we took the phone to Apple to have it replaced before we turned it in. They phone shut down during repair so we were given a brand new Iphone 12 pro as our turn in device. We were given a $300 credit and told there would be one more remaining payment before the account was settled. Just received my new statement and the phone is still on there as a current device. I called the store we turned our phone into and was told they couldn't help me and to call 611 with any concerns. I've currently been on the phone for 30 minutes and I'm still waiting to talk with a supervisor. 43 minutes of the same verbage over and over and over again. 20 years and I'm experiencing the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Sadly it won't matter. Do we think AT&T cares about losing a customer, no they do not... I will be leaving AT&T! read more

Just had a very positive experience at the store when Casey helped resolve an issues I was having with my iPhone. It was a technical problem with IPv6 not functioning when I was on cellular data. Well, I know a bit about networking, and I jumped ugly when I thought I was getting a BS answer. Casey stood his ground, very professionally, and worked with me even though I was clearly not in the best frame of mind. The issue was resolved, and he even went above and beyond what I would consider normal support to try and find out why the problem had occurred in the first place. Bad service gets noted all the time...but this guy did a very good and professional job, and deserves recognition for that. Well done! read more

Decided to do the iPhone 14 pro trade in deal for my 12 pro. Never received a box in the mail for the trade in after receiving the new phone in the mail and was not told to bring the old one back within 30 days. My schedule does not have much room for business hours and errands. When I came in with the old phone to figure out what was wrong, they told me it was beyond the deadline and nothing they could do. Same with calling AT&T after receiving this poor service and communication. Recommend avoid this finesse. read more

I didn't think buying a new phone could ever turn into a 5 day nightmare, but AT&T helped make that a reality throughout their app and customer service over the phone. LUCKILY there was an associate at this location who, while not able to pull any strings and get my personal issue resolved, seemed to do as much as she could to make sure we were taken care of from a customer service standpoint and I have to give thanks where due. THANK YOU! Especially within a company where the customer service almost always leaves you uneasy. After this, I truly understand that not much power seems to be given to the employees in order to make certain situations (like this pretty awful one; my significant other was out of a phone for a day and half and this could have been even more crippling during COVID) into EXAMPLES of how good AT&T's overall customer service is as a company. That seems of little interest on the corporate level. All in all, mistakes were made on my end, I'll own that. There were miscommunications on AT&T's part as well though. Overall I feel the need to express the lack of concern from AT&T's upper management for their customers, and the difficulty/complexity of the technical service they provide. I've ALWAYS had to make human contact to resolve ANY issue. TLDR would be to always go in physically for any type of issue with your AT&T service/products. Dealing with AT&T stores on weekends can be a nightmare. Years ago you'd walk in, write down your name one a pad of paper and wait, and wait, and wait. Then you'd hope they wouldn't forget about you or have someone else skip the line. Then you'd pray they could make changes or whatever you needed to your account without having to call a CSR. Thankfully things have changed. When you walk in here now they are armed with an iPad and you're put in que to be the next customer up if they are busy (I'd recommend going there during the lunch hour on a week day to avoid any line at all). The CSRs here are all friendly and knowledgable which is good and they've been quick to get me in and out with the least amount of hassle. Recently I had to change my sons phone from a Blackjack smartphone to an iPhone and needed the new micro-sim. They had us taken care of within about 60 seconds after verifying I was the account holder. I was very happy. Lastly - I'd ALWAYS recommend visiting an AT&T corporate owned store (such as this one) instead of companies like JC&C or Parrot stores. While those companies are branded like an AT&T store their CSR's can't do much of anything and tend to try and sell customers data plans and accessories to cash in on customers instead of just giving them what they need. read more

As much as I hated another AT&T store in Reno is an inverse proportion to how much I love this store! Staff is super helpful, the customer service specialist was so helpful, straightforward, and knowledgeable that it made the cringeworthy process of upgrading a phone and signing on the dotted line for a new contract actually pleasant. Located on the western side of Damonte Ranch Crossing shopping center on the corner of Damonte and Virginia Came here with a big 'to do' list with making changes to multiple phones/plans and Jesus was just the guy to handle the job! He was very patient and listened to what our needs were and most importantly; he didn't push any upgrades or use any sales tactics to try and get us to spend more. He did give us a quote on internet and tv which he emailed to us but that was it; no pushy tactics... This in my opinion was refreshing and just might be the deciding factor to earn our business for more services. It's nice because they also have individual tables set up throughout the store for when you are making changes or trying to make a decision on purchases and being able to sit down with your sales person creates a more personable transaction without feeling rushed. The lost star was because when we were there; there were a number of sales people just sitting at the table right behind us chatting it up. Instead of choosing to sit at the table in the other corner away from us; they chose the one right behind us. Overall, nice visit...thanks and Happy Holidays! read more

MAKE SURE TO RECORD EVERYTHING THESE PEOPLE PROMISE YOU! I was hesitant to get a new promotional deal of getting a bundle deal of security & combo of directv and internet added to my wireless but believed AGAIN their promises to combine bill into one! It was a huge mistake and total nitemare for almost a year! I was promised I would not be charged an early termination fee when I told salesman we would be selling house within a year! Well that did not happen and was charged almost 500$ to terminate the security portion and was also getting 3 separate bills after promised it would all be on one. I no longer have AT &T for anything and will never go back ! I had many previous problems-- almost 3 years of problems with their billing so I'd advise to stay away from them! Or record everything ! Worst customer service ever in an AT&T location (+30 year AT&T customer). - Customers not greeted by employees - in their defense 3 store personnel were all busy helping other customers. - No order of operations - last customer that walked into the store was first person helped, while two other customers including myself had been waiting 10-15 minutes by passed. - Had issue with an accessory return and employee had to go back into office to ask manager Hallie that was sitting in her office giving commands to her underlings all the while unwilling to come out into the store and interface with customers and resolve issues and actually see what was happening on the floor. The retail person helping me recited policy and then instructed me to call customer service, which did in fact help me and they were appalled by the lack of customer service this store provided. Obviously, there is a severe deficiency in leadership in this location and no doubt location revenues will support these comments either now or very soon. Recommend avoiding this AT&T location and choose and alternative AT&T location. read more

Horrible service. I went in with a simple request, help putting on a screen protector. Was told to take a seat. Another person came over and told me he wouldn't help me. I have had this done many times over the 15years that I have been with this company. I left and went to T-Mobile. They helped me even though my phone and screen protector were not from there. Sad to see that AT&T provides such bad service to such long time customers. I will be switching once my agreement is up. read more

Was told they would not correct a billing error made by AT&T phone support because it would reflect poorly on their financial reporting. I feel bad for the employees here. Since this manager won't let the store's employees solve customer service issues, their only job is to peddle incredibly overpriced accessories and warranties. Also, every time I come in here, it takes forever to get anything done, even when I don't have to wait in line. Also, they'll always try to setup your phone for you. He also got us completely setup with direct tv and free HBO, which was so nice since my fiancé isn't that good at downloading the apps/install etc. I recommend this retailer and our sales associate. The store manager gave me a double look after I came in looking like a snowboarder. Well, I still had snowboard boots on. We found this store earlier in the day when we stopped by Carls Jr next door on the way to Mt Rose. We returned in the evening to sign up for a data plan for my brother's iPad. Manager: "We can't sign you up for an iPad data plan. You have to do it from the iPad yourself." Me: "But the iPad wasn't purchased in the US." Manager: "Hmm, we can sell you a microsim for the iPad for $15" 10 minutes and $15+ later, we walk out the store with a new microsim. And then notice someone run out of the store, hop in his pickup truck and leave. And then the store manager runs out the store after him. Poor customer service! Took my 84 yr old mom in to upgrade her iPhone and they told her she could get an iPad mini for $99 so she said sure. We were asked if we wanted service for the iPad we said no. Three weeks later my mom gets her bill and there is a charge of $32 for the iPad phone service. My mom calls down to the store and is put on hold for ever! Then they hang up on her! She calls back and finally talks to a manager and after explaining the situation his only comment is "Well you signed the contract" So much for customer service. Never once did the sales people explain about the 99 dollar iPad requires a 2 year contract. Sounds like bait and switch! Besides you guys defrauded an 84 year old woman!
