A very good experience! My battery for my Samsung Galaxy Note8 was dying. I got five years out of it, so I was not complaining. After having tried two other providers: an other authorized Samsung provider: Best Buy in Reno, and Batteries Plus in Carson City, and being turned me away because they didn't service my phone due to its age (from 2018). So I decided to give ubreakifix by Asurion (Asurion Tech Services) a try. Afterall, they had good reviews on Yelp and were an authorized Samsung provider as well, so I knew I would get genuine parts and correct service. I went in on February 1, 2023. They asked me what was wrong. They confirmed they could fix my phone, but had to order the battery, since I had an older model. Then they quickly looked up the model of my phone, got me a price, wrote me up, and gave me a receipt after I paid in advance (since it was a special order). The genuine Samsung battery came in three days later, and they promptly called me to bring in my phone. It would take an hour to replace it. Since it was my back-up phone, I just left it there in the morning and came back later in the day. I told them it was backed up already and unlocked. They again promptly called me when it was done, in time, as promised, for the quoted price, which was reasonable (similar to what they charge you for an iPhone battery at the Apple store). When I swung by at the end of the day, there was a brand-new battery and the phone worked great! The store itself was just a small room in front of the two stations at the counter, with a few chairs for waiting and some products for sale. No one was in the room when I walked in, but an employee quickly came out from the rear area. He was knowledgeable, professional, and polite, as was his co-worker, who also came out when another customer walked in. I heard him answer all her questions and even give her some free tips. He also helped out another customer who came in later with some technical advice on how to use his phone. They were happy to help and did not push sales. I heard a third employee in the back also working. Everything about the store and the employees instilled confidence in me that this would be a good experience, and it was! I am sorry I didn't get any pictures of the inside when I was there, but I will try to get some in the future. The store is in the The Commons Shopping Center on S. Virginia St., with stores like AAA, Starbucks, PetSmart, DSW, and David's Bridal. Since it was at the end of the plaza, things were quieter, and parking was tight, but sufficient.

Let me start off by saying " thank you Patricia " :] I was looking for way to get the iPhone charging port fixed without having the store keeping my phone for repairs or waiting for 3 hours - trust me no shade towards Apple Inc. Anywho.. I called the store, Patricia answered and reassured me she can fix my iPhone SE (2nd GEN) I drove right over. Patricia greeted me and asked me what's the issue and is there anything else going on with the phone. She showed me where the problem had started with the charging port, also, she showed me what was inside of the ear piece ( where you pit your ear to the speaker) and showed me the bottom of the speakers and it was filled with GUNK. Patricia was able to remove all debris and ear wax from the phone -- we conducted a hearing test . I called the phone and we talked . I heard her clearly and she heard me too, from there I seen the store sells iPhone SE protective screens - Patricia went ahead and replaced the old one with a new screen. She worked diligently and effectively all while maintaining a professional level and good conversation.

Do you repair DVD/VCR combo recorders? If not, can you recommend someone who does? Thank you.

Sorry, we don’t fix dvd/vcr recorders and We don’t know of anyone in Reno that does.

Do u guys work on computers?

Yes, we do work on computers. we do free diagnostics to see what is wrong with them and to see how much it would cost to fix the problem. once we know what the computer needs, we contact the customer and give them a quote and wait for there approval…

Their website wasn't working when I tried to schedule an installation, so I called the store directly. The person I spoke with told me to go ahead and purchase the battery online and said they would install it when I came in the next day. Great. That sounded easy enough. I drove across town expecting a quick install, only to be told once I arrived that they don't install batteries on my vehicle's make and model. That would have been extremely helpful information to share during the phone call before I made the trip and purchased the battery. On top of that, they also wanted to charge an additional $40 just to register the battery after installation, which was never mentioned beforehand and honestly felt excessive. Between the website not working, the incorrect guidance over the phone, the wasted trip across town, and the surprise extra charge, the experience felt pretty disorganized and frustrating. I'd strongly recommend calling somewhere else first if you need a battery installed.

Excuse me, how is the iPad now broken and needing to purchase a new one entirely when it worked just fine prior to the Indian man touching it. We then took it to an entirely different place and they said the mother board was damaged due to the technician prior to them. I then flew into town three weeks later as I was on a work trip in Houston. I then took the iPad and spoke to the gentleman who destroyed the iPad and without hesitation he told me the screen was black before he touched it and it didn't work to begin with. Uhm how did he know who my wife was and what was wrong with my iPad, especially after telling me he had worked on 14 iPads this month. He proceeded to tell me to F*CK off and that I was wasting his time and that I am a liar--all while there was two other gentlemen there complaining about him replacing their iPhone screen and now the speaker an camera wasn't working and he was telling them the same thing, that it came to him like that. CUSTOMER SERVICE AND REPAIRS DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME SHOULD BE THE MAIN PRIORITY. And after those last 2 interactions I definitely won't recommend them to anyone. In terms of collectibles Id probably avoid them. Because they were trynna skimp on tech imagine items like Pokémon cards lol. There's no way one doesn't bleed onto the other. Buying, selling, trading or repairs. Just go to UBreakIFix or other spots tbh *PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW IN ITS ENTIRETY* after their reply I've decided to edit my review and be as honest as I could be. If I'm lying they can always post the security footage of that day (For the record. Both of the employees and myself are Hispanic. And all I said that could be considered anti-Semitic is me asking 'why you trynna Jew me brother' I didn't go on no Kanye style rant. Theres not need to exaggerate or make things seem bigger than they are because you know how the optics "looks". I think the way you do business is a much better thing to focus on so people understand) begining I brought in a galaxy s25 FE NETWORK UNLOCKE and in damn near pristine condition and he said he could trade it for a used and beat up iPhone 13. So I asked ME: how did you come up with that number. The Tall Repair Guy: I went on back market and compared the device prices. And those phones dont really sell. people only want the ultra. Not the FE Personally I thought that was weird a 5 year old iphone is comparable to a phone that released in September last year? (Definitely BS but whatever) A few weeks later was looking to sell and iPhone 16 in amazing condition as well. I got an offer for $280 on flipsy.com from the store to buy it. I thought about it and decided to take it. I brought the phone in and he said that flipsy was making deals with out notifying them and making offers for them. And the best he could do was $200. Then I asked, what about a trade? he replied could trade it for a used iPhone 11 (which is now considered an obsolete phone by Apple and won't be receiving the newest ios 27 update) Again I asked how did you come up with that number? He said that the phone was basically for parts and that eco atm offers $150 and $200 was the most he'd do. That the phone would basically be used for parts. But back market sells the same exact phone in the same condition at $500 LOCKED TO T-MOBILE. so I know this guy is pulling my leg. And I can visibly tell he's getting irritated when I call him out on it. Thru out this 10-15 min interaction there a guy came in stating that the power button on his tablet wasn't working after they repaired it. And another dude came in with a galaxy ultra device and said his back glass was peeling after they repaired it. They told him to come back the next day to re-fix it. I'm sure this guy is used to not dealing with people who don't know about phones and he can get away with bullshiting his way with regular people but I know my stuff and felt super disrespected by the whole situation. So I asked "why you trynna Jew me bruh. You think I don't know these are low ball offers? Even if the phone was for parts the parts on here are definitely worth more than $200?" I said "what the fuck dude you can't even fix your devices right and you wanna try to skimp me like I don't know what I'm talking about?" END You can see the prices he was using to justify his low ball offers in the screenshots below. I'm sure they use the same tactics for collectibles and other items they sell

I spilled coffee on my laptop keyboard two weeks ago. Within about five minutes I was getting an error message. I called around to different computer service centers the PC Service Center gave me the most affordable quote. $85 for a simple cleaning. If there were shorts and I needed new parts they would simply charge me for the parts above the $85. So the 85 was a simple flat rate for the labor on the entire job. nothing hidden. i knew upfront what all the charges would be. It turns out that my computer did not need new parts so all I paid was the $85 for the cleaning (thank you!!). This was far and away the best price. The next closest was drop zone (california location). They would've charged me $90 for a diagnostic. Then that $90 would've been put towards the repairs/cleaning; im pretty sure they would've charged me over 90 for the cleaning, tho. Everything else was much higher after that. I was getting quoted $150 and $200 from all the other PC repair places in Reno/sparks, and some of them were not very transparent or forthcoming about pricing over the phone.
