I tried to ship two camera lenses through FedEx in the Office Depot located at, 165 DISC DRIVE SPARKS, NV 89436 US. They lost my packages. They tried to blame it on FedEx. They could not prove that FedEx Picked up the packages and they would not admit that my packages were lost or stolen. I have a "Drop off confirmation" and a tracking number. They put my package in an open bin under their counter where it stayed from Saturday to Monday, when the FedEx truck came. Office Depot tried to blame it on the FedEx driver forgetting to scan the package, but even if the driver forgot to scan it they would have caught it at the FedEx center. The chain of custody way broken at the Office Depot counter and they have no way to prove that they handed the items over to FedEx. They did not offer to help resolve the situation. I lost $138.00 plus three trips to their office, two trips to FedEx, and hours of phone calls. read more

My experience at this Office Depot was very disappointing. Supervisor Megan H did not make eye contact, was short with us, and did not seem interested in helping. When we asked for help to look up our business account so we could make a return or exchange, she refused to search the account and offered no alternatives. We left without our issue being resolved and will consider taking our business elsewhere. She stated she could not help us, and was breathing hard when we asked her to please assist us, because we're asking for her to a little extra. We went went to the Northtowne location and immediately they resolved our printer issue and I could not believe how easy that was the interaction was completely opposite. I couldn't stand my cracked and broker plastic chair mat another day, so I headed to Office Depot and arrived at 7:59 - the manager was locking the door, since they close at 8:00. Have always loved Office Depot but my last few visits have been exceptional. I needed some custom binding orders and Laureen helped me out with my first one. She was sweet, quick, and wasn't afraid to tell me that there were orders ahead of mine and it may take longer than expected. I appreciated the transparency and I think she did an absolutely wonderful job. The second binding order I did, Hawk took. It seemed that he was running the front end all by himself which included the printing area and the register. He did an awesome job and was courteous, had a pleasant demeanor, and knew what he was doing. I think Laureen is still in charge of binding my stuff, but Hawk still had awesome customer service. I am a regular at this Office Depot. This is where I come in to ship all my packages, I come here at least a few times a month if not weekly. Majority of the staff knows me and knows the drill. Every now and then I meet someone new and I still get the same great service. Employees here always has a smile, is very patient, works with your needs and requests. I've been coming here for 1+ years and from the store manager to every singe employee, I never had a single issue or have any complaints. NOTE: I do my USPS and FEDEX shipping here, they don't do UPS. Pickup is usually around 3:30pm for packages. read more

This place has everything office related and more. Located right off disc Dr, parking is not an issue since they share a huge lot with other tenants. I was looking for a dry erase board, and sure enough they had them. My only negative on this store is the customer service, or lack there of. I asked an employee where I could find the boards, and she gestured towards the back of the store. I was the only one in the store. The store is clean and well lit. Went in to have a picture printed out and was immediately told by the older woman behind the desk that I had to "go do it myself." Now. I don't mind using the self serve printing, but I never have used it so I'm not really sure of how to. I could tell by the huffing and puffing of this older woman and the "what don't you understand" comment she made, that she was not happy I was bothering her.... At her job.... Where she is supposed to be helping customers. This woman was of the rudest people that I have encountered and I will completely go out of my way to go to Staples before I ever return here. Maybe you should focus on not hiring miserable, bitter employees because they're most definitely losing you money. read more

We went to Office Depot to look at office chairs over the weekend. When we arrived we found out that they were having a sale, and the chair we wanted was half off! My father went back later on to get another one for himself. Robert helped us bring the chair out to the car, and put it into the trunk for us. I have been fighting with my epsom printer for days trying to get it to recognize 2 of the four cartridges of a set that I bought at this Office Depot. Without a receipt and only the 2 unrecognized cartridges in hand I asked for help. Explained my plight and was graciously told no problem, they would swap them out without the receipt! I had another most horrible experience at this store today !!!! I went there to ship box , Denise (.... Customer manager ) is the one who I end up with , I fill form on computer she turn to me and in the graph insurance and value I input $505 ( anything what is shipped with insurance over $500 automatically comes with signature at delivery ) she proceed and WITHOUT EVEN NOTIFYING ME SHE CHANGE VALUE ON SMALLER AMOUNT !!!! ) I didn't know that till she handle me receipt , I almost walked out and have to come back to her and ask why she changed value without saying word to me ?!!!! She trying to explain her unprofessional approach and try to send me to post office multiple time giving me attitude , I have to cancel my transaction and start over again to make sure it's will be with delivery confirmation on top of my insurance ( which once again she told me at first was unavailable and I should go to post office !!!! ) first of all I don't have to explain myself why I walk in your store instead of post office - ITS WAS MY CHOICE AS YOU CUSTOMER BECAUSE YOU PROVIDING THIS SERVICE AT YOUR LOCATION !!! She gave good service to the guy in front of me, but when it was my turn, all I got was an attitude and rolled her eyes at me. I did not purchase anything from her service, changed my mind and walked away due to her bad service. Please tell her to change her attitude. This facility is nice. Great location bright and updated looking. Parking lot is large. So why give a 3 star you say. Well, to reasons one is over priced items. But yes perfect pricing for Office Depot. An example of this is going in and looking for a good pencil sharpener. It was $39.99 for the one I wanted. When looking at other places it was $19.99 to $23. The second reason is a huger me for me personally. Is the costumer service. No one greeted me in. No one smiled. The staff looked at me and quickly walked away without saying a word. Now I don't expect people to run up to me. But when walking by at least smile be courteous. To me costumer service is key. My husband and I came in on a Sunday afternoon and were the only customers. A gentleman helped us place an order online and we kept saying that we would like to use my husband's rewards since he had almost $40 worth of rewards. He took down our information and the rewards number and gave the print out to a cashier up front. Our $39 and some change rewards was not applied so again, I mentioned it to the cashier. He said that since the rewards was under my husband's name and the order was under my name, that he couldn't apply the rewards. So I asked him to change the order to my husband's name and he said, "Oh, uh..since it's in the system already, we can't really make any changes." You mean to tell me that we can't make any changes at all to an order that was placed about a minute ago and we haven't even paid for it yet?? I feel like he was just being lazy and didn't want to help. If that really was the case, that we can't change anything on an order, then that's just plain stupid and I'd rather take my business elsewhere. read more

I called the store and was told that they could bind my legal papers in a few minutes... when I drove down there, they said they don't have legal size binding and didn't know who would have told me that they could do it!!! They said they could piece 2 binding together, which would have been fine, but said they wouldn't be able to complete it until tomorrow even though 3 employees were just standing there doing nothing!!! I went to print something and the staff was so friendly. I requested to have the pages hole punched after the fact and they tried to figure out the machine but couldn't. So instead they hand hole punched my documents. So patient and kind and truly great customer service. This is what makes the difference and I'd high recommend going in for your printing needs. read more

I recently came in here looking for a desk. They have a few crammed together in the back that are so close together you can't get a good feel for their size. After I got irritated that the desk I liked was not accessible, I decided to walk around and look for a few more things. I started looking for a external USB disc drive. A girl asked me if she could help me find something and I told her what I was looking for. After several times explaining to her that I didn't want an external hard drive I wanted a disc drive she called someone else over. She sowed me the one that they had, told me the price and then gave me one of the worst sales pitches I've ever heard..."we sell quite a few of these and no one has ever complained about them so I assume they are pretty good". I chuckled to myself and told her thank you. I badly wanted to ask her if she was f'ing joking but I refrained. I now feel bad and realize that with a little sales training she might have worded that differently. I realize it's probably not her fault, but the lack of training from management or corporate. Anyway the thing was way over priced and was a no name brand so I picked one up from BB. I did notice that they had a good price on Microsoft office 2013 that was about twenty dollars cheaper than anywhere else. Went in to get Bridal invitations cut. I had them printed at another Office Depot but didn't realize to get them cut at the time. The first girl who tried to cut them messed it up (not her fault guess their cutter isn't the best) then they were gonna reprint them but the manager on duty Charice or Shariese (I don't know the spelling of her name) stepped in and took the time to cut each of the 40 invites. I went to the local Office Depot to get an Epson 410xl black ink cartridge. Before going I checked the price online and it was 18.99. At the store the same cartridge was 26.99. The cashier said that she could not change the price. So because I needed ink asap, I was pretty much forced to pay the extra 8 dollars for the exact same product. To Office Depot, if you really want to piss off and lose a customer, having prices in your store 42% higher than your online prices will definitely help. read more
