A good friend who is practicing witchcraft introduced me to this store and it was more than I expected. Not only does it sell various witch items, but it also sells nontoxic, zero waste products like soaps, lotions etc. And many of them support other small businesses. My favorite part is the gum ball machine that had small tarot cards inside. While I'm not well versed in this, the owner kindly explained the meaning and it was rather accurate to me at the time. So even if witchcraft isn't something I practice, I had a taste about a different culture by being here and browsing the unique items!

Coyote Supple Co is located inside the brick building, upstairs, in a small suite. Unless you are…read morespecifically looking for this eco-conscious, witchy shop, then you will probably walk by without even noticing. This tiny shop is worth a quick stop if you are in this corner of Midtown even if you are not super witchy. The shop keepers were super friendly and welcoming! There were 3 things that stood out to me about this little shop. 1) I was surprised to find a pretty decent selection of eco-conscious bath and home products, including Stasher Bags in various sizes and colors. 2) There is a TerraCycle recycle box for difficult to recycle containers (like makeup). I wish these were available at more businesses! These recycle boxes are not free to the businesses that have them, so keep that in mind. 3) Griselda, the Tarot card gum-ball machine! 50 cents will get you the cutest miniature tarot reading. There is a handy book next to the tarot-ball machine so that you can interpret your card. In addition to my favorite things above, Coyote Supply Co also has spiritual incense and candles, eco-conscious cleaning products, health and beauty products, and small gifts like cards, pins, and stickers.

So when I first started doing the sailing charter thing, I went for the quick, easy low hanging…read moreinstant gratification fruit and ordered my first business cards online from VistaPrint. They were pretty good, and cost me a little over $60- for 250 cards. When they ran out I finally did the smart thing and went to my friend Russell Hicks, who has been in the printing business for well over 30 years, which frankly is what I should have done to begin with. I just got my order. The turn around was every bit as fast as VistaPrint (faster, actually), the cards much nicer thanks in no small part to Russ's personal attention and expertise, and - get this - I got 1,000 cards for LESS than $60-! So I got 4X the cards, which were nicer and higher quality, for LESS money than I paid to VistaPrint! Lesson learned. Thank you Russ; and if anyone needs any kind of printing done you should call, email, send a message by carrier pigeon, or stop by and talk to Russ at Sandell's Printing; it's not often that the pros are way cheaper than the hacks, you'll be glad you did.

I got a Groupon and the reviews were mixed. It seems like if you are lucky enough to get the right workshop/teacher/materials, it's great! But that doesn't always happen. So I sorta knew I was taking my chances but I do not think it should be that way! I booked online and the email says- You're all set! But I called a couple hours ahead of time to confirm. No one called me back so I had my suspicions as I headed over that maybe the class would be a bust. There's a sign on the door to knock and/or call...i did both, to no avail. Left another message. I waited for like 15 minutes (I really wanted to make the mosaic!!) and then left. A week later, I am still left wondering. Groupon refunded me so that part worked out but I would have been extra mad if I were trying to get my money back from this business that ghosted me. So you're definitely taking your chances if you do! Sad. I wanted the lucky great workshop experience.
