The Niche has really cute decor at reasonable prices. I got the heart chimes as shown in the video, which are very pretty and do make a nice bell/chime sound. They were $26 and when I looked for me online for more since I got the last one, they ranged from $29-$48 so definitely priced well at the Niche. The earrings were also nicely priced and cute for stocking stuffers. As I was shopping, the ladies came by and were putting things aside so that I wouldn't have to carry so many things. 5/11/25, employee older lady (late 40s/50s) with graying medium length brown hair The store is fine. Kind of kitschy. I won't be back because of the way I was treated. Super snooty behavior by the employee. She ignored me while offering cookies to other patrons and being super friendly to them. It was bizarre. I even purchased pants and I was still ignored. She acted disgusted for me to be in her vicinity. It was the most over top obviously rude display for absolutely no reason. So if you want to be mean girled, go to this store. I usually don't shop at boutiques, but I decided to be more conscious of where I buy my clothes and to support local businesses as much as my budget could allow me. I decided to pop in to check out The Niche, which is located at the Legends Outlets in Sparks. The staff were polite and helpful in clarifying which products in the store were on sale or not. They told me that there used to be a handful of Niche locations, but were now just down to two--the one in Sparks, and one in Truckee, which was good to know if I ever take a visit out there in the future. Both employees were both wearing face masks, with one of them also wearing an additional face shield. They had hand sanitizer, but only at the register. - The Niche has women's clothes AND household decor and other little trinkets, making this a good place to buy something for yourself or find a gift for a friend. As it is a boutique, the clothing is a little more pricier than the alternate mass produced clothing shops like H&M and Forever 21, where you also sacrifice quality for a cheaper price. However, you are supporting local, which I find is better, especially during the ongoing pandemic. At first glance, I thought the clothing was pretty boho-chic, but was happy to find something in my style. I ended up buying a casual black/grey tie die shirt as well as a nice black cami that can certainly be dressed up or down. There didn't seem to be a fitting room to try anything on, but thankfully the tops fit nicely and were made of very soft material. Ever since I stumbled into this hidden gem of a boutique store I always find myself back inside every time I am at legends. It is such an unique store among your typical mall stores. They have a great selection of clothes and home decor that you can't find anywhere else. Me and my mother love the niche. Do today we stopped in and I got a romper and a crop top with a high set skirt that had a lovely 50's flare. Their clothing is always very high quality. I tried on 4 outfits all I loved but some of the skirts were much too long for my narrow, petite frame. They have a lot of cook bags and the best bras in Reno. They are light and very affordable, as well as lacy options. If you like sports bras and want something a little more up scale for less the 15 bucks this is your place. Other things to note are the bath balls and cute jewelry. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Plus the sale section in the front landed me with an adorable romper for 19.99. Can't get much better than that when it comes to sales. They also have home accessories and cool gift options. My mom loved their lite gyms and work shirts. Terrible store and service! How I wish I can give 0 star, yes zero star! Do not shop! I repeat, do not shop at this store! When I purchased a dress with a slit, I specifically asked the cashier if the garment will shrink and she said that all their clothing are pre-washed and WILL NOT SHRINK. I wore it a week after from purchasing it (wore it once) and after the dress has been washed, the dress shrunk so much that the slit was all the way up to my private area. I went to the store and talked to a cashier (different from the one who I purchased the dress from) she then told me to come back in couple of days to talk to the manager. She said under some circumstances, the manager will accept the return. Went back to the store and while talking to her and explaining about what happened, she just started talking (no, no, we don't accept returns that's been used) and talk about their policy- they do not accept returns that's been washed, so on an so on...... and told me that I can shop somewhere else that has better policy. Clearly, this store does not care about their customers! Not at all! Well, thanks for your recommendation about shopping somewhere else! It was an idea someone had to come up with eventually: shopping for clothes is fun, and shopping for home stuff is fun, so wouldn't a shop that had clothes AND home stuff be twice as much fun? I'm not sure that the math really works, but The Niche is still a fun (and much-needed) addition to Reno shopping. Located in the side wing of the extremely un-hip Shoppers Square mall (where you can get your Western wear and your Hallmark collectibles), The Niche is conveniently close to the Coldstone Creamery, in case you want to add a little sugary bloat to your waistline before shopping. When you walk in, you'll see rows of shirts hung on the wall to your left, and wall art and decorative tables crammed on the wall to your right. It's kind of disorienting, and the feeling continues throughout the store, although the clothes tend to keep to one area (about one-third of the store) and the home decor takes up the rest. The home decor is tasteful, earth-toned, Tuscan- and Asian-influenced stuff, very much the kind of thing you'd see at Cost Plus or Pier One. Think "antique" wine and coffee signs, fleur-de-lis and floral patterns, and lots of decorative hammered-tin signs. The clothes are fairly cute, mostly tops and skirts with a vaguely edgy flair. Check out the screen-printed t-shirts that are deliberately printed over creases in the fabric to give a fragmented, artsy effect (around $35). The prices are a bit high, but the clearance rack has some good deals in the $10-15 range. So is it twice as fun to have two, two, two stores in one? Well... actually, it's kind of confusing. I kept drifting back and forth from clothes to home decor, never quite sure what I was in the mood to look at, and couldn't decide on anything in the end. Cute little boutique in South Reno! It's located in the Costco shopping center which makes it an extremely convenient location to stop by after getting your all your shopping done. If you're looking for a good present, cute home decor, or adorable clothing, pretty accessories from necklaces to earrings to sunglasses, this is a great place for you! The Niche also has beautifully scented candles, cards for birthdays and other special occasions along with other knickknacks. I typically stop into the Niche to look for items for myself but my most recent visit was to purchase a graduation present for a friend. The young lady that was working was super helpful and directed me to a lovely necklace. I was able to find a cute set of bracelets as well and a little tote bag to compete the present. I ended up spending a bit more money than I originally intended but the items were wrapped nicely in tissue paper and even put in a cute brown paper bag with flower tissue paper to finish off the look. It was a one stop shop! I do think this shop is a bit of an acquired taste as it is a boutique geared a bit more towards the younger generations (in my opinion) but the home decor section is a bit more farm-house style and j would suggest that anyone check it out while in the area as it provides a variety items! read more

What a Very cute store, very cute clothing I brought a friend because I thought she would like the clothing, I am plus size so I knew there would be nothing for me but thought she might find what she was looking for there. I have never felt so unwelcome from the time I walk in a store before. The person working seemed more interested in what was going on with her phone than me as a customer. But I can spend an hour in The Niche and I always find something that fits my decor. The clothes are quite expensive and being a gal with extra curves, they don't fit me anyway. I was very unhappy after purchasing an $85.00 dollar purse (Mona B) and the zipper had broken. I called the store was told sorry the purchase was 11 days old and the replacement policy of 10 days had passed. I asked to speak to the owner who was not in. i gave the sales person my # and requested a return call. Upon not receiving a call a week later I called and spoke to the owner and got no furtherer satisfaction. I will no longer shop, purchase gift cards or refer "The Niche" to others. read more

I went into The Niche the other day and I was looking for some home decor for my new apartment and the redhead employee came over to help me. She had such a bad attitude and acted like she wanted to be anywhere but there. I didn't know you could get paid to be on your phone, and act like you don't care about your job. I disagree that the Niche is expensive, when you go into women's boutiques you can rarely find anything other than a keychain under $40. 90 percent of the Niche's tops are less than $40 and cute designer jeans are under $100. The Niche also has pretty unique things that aren't mainstream name brands which is important to me. Their home stuff is shabby chic like and moderately priced. Their inventory is far from junkie and is priced accordingly. The staff is always very helpful and they usually have all sizes in stock and it never has the picked-thru vibe.
