Some new, some antique, some classic, some quirky. The owner/manager/employee that was on shift was super pleasant and welcoming. She engaged in conversation and made us feel welcome. The shop is kind of tucked away in a center that you wouldn't really expect to find it in. I hope they do well in the future and are able to get the word out about the store. The owner was so so nice! she even helped me put it in my car and helped me figure that all out. it was a sturdy piece. so it was definitely not easy! but she totally kicked ass. and got that thing all the way to my car!! love her! and her business. she will definitely go above and beyond. i always find new things here, and the quality is great, some things are marked high but do your research and the price usually makes sense!

This retailer offers kind of merchandise that always leaves me looking for what is new. Over the years the store has had different management that and stock levels sometimes looks great and sometimes looks a bit over shopped.. I had such an amazing experience in Urban Scout! I had never been before but saw an ad on…read moreInstagram. I was specifically looking for a rattlesnake calathea and wasn't having much luck finding one. I reached out to Urban Scout and they had 2 in stock so I asked if he could hold on until 4 pm(about 6 hours after I reached out). I show up at 4 and Ken was working. I mentioned I had reached out about the Calathea and he instantly pulled it out from behind the register. Soooo nice! I was an environmental major in college, and I also collect house plants so the world of plants is super important and exciting to me. Ken was nice enough to not only show me around, but told me a bunch of cool facts about all these plants that I never even knew existed (such as, the rattlesnake calathea spreads out in the day time when its receiving light and will become more vertical as the sun goes down!) I went into the store looking for one specific plant and ended up leaving with 4! The service was enough to keep me coming back until the end of time! I had a great time learning new things and checking out all the beautiful plants. Ken gave me advice on some plant care for the new plants I picked up, and was very enthusiastic with me. This was extra cool because as I mentioned, this field is really important to me and it was totally inspiring to see someone share the same passion. The prices are very reasonable, and honestly lower than a lot of the other speciality plant stores in Reno. I'll 100% be back!

As far as value, you are paying for local artists handcrafted work, you are gonna pay a little bit, but that's absolutely to be expected.
