The girl working let us know it was a fresh case we got pick from! Pricing is reasonable. We stopped outside to unbox it. And we got the one we wanted! So exciting!!!! Very expensive for a vintage store + half the stuff are dirty/faded. There also is not a lot of size inclusivity which kind of brings me down. A lot of the stuff were either size small or medium. The cashier was also pretty rude which killed my vibe, with a store like this you'd think they would be more cool but she was stuck up. Even my bf noticed and he always tries to see the good in people. Regardless of that I know sometimes retail can be hard even if we were the only ones in the store..... on the plus size there were some cute little trinkets and stickers that can also be found elsewhere for cheaper. I'd love to support small businesses more but when the outcome is like this it makes me sad :( read more

Owner is super sweet! Swung by on a day dedicated to thrifting and was pleasantly surprised by this place! It's very neat and cute but is a little small! They had a wonderful selection of clothing/jewlery/ and even have some pieces from Reno based artists! This shop is so small I hadn't really noticed it before but it's really worth a visit. We were immediately greeted as we walked in the front door and asked if we were looking for anything in particular-so great customer service! Some really cute vintage clothes that look to be from the 80's, large selection of fun, colorful sunglasses and some other assorted items. I was looking for some vintage gift ideas so I thought I'd check this store out. It's got a fun and funky 80's theme. It's surprisingly small but has some fun items. A couple racks worth of "vintage" clothing, some new items and some actually from the 80's. some new but retro themed souvenirs and gifts as well as old Nintendo games and things like that. I enjoy seeing the Midtown area filling up with stores. I check this one out when I'm next door at my hair appointment. It's a small shop that carries retro clothing, mostly women's and a rack of menswear. Everything from t shirts and jeans to dresses and coats. There's even some unique cute jewelry on display in the middle of the store. I honestly just realized I know nothing about the prices since I haven't found an item that struck my fancy yet. I was very happy to find this spot that has all the vintage styles I was looking for. They have a variety of options for men and women and I was very impressed by their curated selection of looks from the 80s and 90s. Their button-ups, hats, socks, and t-shirts are right down my alley. That's not even to mention the individual attention the people who work there give their customers. They are all very informed on what the store has in stock and are full of good ideas once they know what you're looking for. It's also one of the visually stimulating, vibrant, and colorful stores in Reno. Everything about this place is just fun to experience. Finally took the time to check out Bad Apple Vntg after a good friend of mine kept raving about them. It's in Midtown, and is relatively easy to get to off the main street, with ample parking nearby. It's near a few other unique shops and some light snacking, so it makes for a good place to pop into if you're walking through the area. My first thought was that it is actually a smaller shop than I anticipated. However, there is such a fun, 80s vibe you are immediately presented with as soon as you walk in. I appreciate that they also offer you hand sanitizer (you have to sanitize before you fully go into the store). Towards the front of Bad Apple Vntg was a few racks of clothing, and off to the left were shelves with fun pieces like bucket hats, bags, stationary and other planner-esque supplies, and even vintage Nintendo games. The back right of the store had shelves lined with candles, funky themed socks, and masks. The back left had fun cards and a display case of enamel pins and patches, while the front display case had some cute jewelry. The whole store was very clean and organized. There was only one person working when I went, but they were very kind and patient as I perused their products. I had inquired about their online shop, and they told me that it wouldn't be operating for a while, as they were trying to focus on restocking their in person store. However, their social media presence has been pretty consistent, and you can see their store updates there. I think I will return in the future to buy some of the cute enamel pins they had on display, and check out any new items they may have gotten read more

This great little shop has such a good vibe and a great selection of vintage and locally made new stuff. Great mix of vintage shirts for men and women, along with some great shoes, bags, backpacks and jewelry. New stuff to see comes in regularly so be sure to check back often. Prices are very reasonable. I got an awesome pair of red cowboy boots, a pair of earrings, a bracelet, and five rings for about $40. The owner is really friendly and very helpful in finding just the right item to suit your needs. Very easy to talk to. The shop is located just a block south of Junkee/Happy Happy Joy Joy. read more

I love this place. I wear very little vintage clothing because of my figure, well, doesn't allow for it. That said, I always look and find pieces that I would LOVE if... They have a great selection of clothing for men and women, shoes, hats, housewares and decor. I entertain a lot so I go for the housewares and decor. This store is the greatest. Unless you want to look like you're fresh out of (or still in) highschool rocking the Forever 21 'fits, or like a boring no-fun no-colors wearer. I like finding unique pieces to wear and love, and this place has it. From pins, patches, screen printed shirts, and cute layering pieces as well as a bad-ass shop owner that helps you put it all together, I know its up to something good. Don't know how to rock the latest midtown trends, just ask. They'll help you put an outfit together. Looking for something specific, ask. Bad Apple is an adorable shop a few blocks south of downtown Reno. Great selection of new/used stuff and incredibly reasonably priced! Clothes are high quality and I was pleasantly surprised to find plus sizes for ladies, too! They also sell cute, funky gifts and locally made crafts. I really, really, wanted to like Bad Apple Vntg. It was okay. The used clothes were a little overpriced, and the selection was very small. There were cute pins and patches and things, a good assortment of trinkets and whatnot. I really liked a hat I found on one of the tables, but it didn't have a price, and the girl at the front desk was a little sour and unapproachable so I didn't even ask. I'd come back. But not too often. I prefer Junkee across the street. read more

I see why this place might make it but I also see why they might not. They had some fun things-mostly the patches and the jewelry-but mostly they had overpriced used clothing. I can go across the street to Junkee for a larger selection of overpriced used clothing so I can't figure out what the draw would be at Bad Apple. Why go in across the street from a larger, more well stocked competitor unless you have a niche. I hope to see a different style-something new introduced here that midtown doesn't already offer. I love this store. It's like the coolest girl in school invited you over for a sleepover and you played dress up. The prices are always so cheap I'm surprised. I really like the owner. She's not in your face. She lets you have your space and shop but is totally open to talking and listening if that's what you want.
