I have been thrift-shop-hopping in Reno lately, as we are in the process of moving here and need a lot of stuff. Buying used stuff is good for environment and for your wallet, also fun, requiring imagination and creativity. I don't usually like shopping, but thrift shopping is a totally different story. Thrift Depot seems tiny from outside, but don't be fooled! The furniture section is large and nicely organized. Lots of nice dining table sets, couches and chairs. We found the cutest, mid-century-style bench, and they gave us a big discount! The staff is very nice and helpful. I saw several cute chairs and side tables, so I will definitely be coming back. read more

Cool little Thrift store. But not so little. When you walk in the size is deciving. You will walk all the way to the back of the store through different rooms much like a maze. There's also an upstairs and a basement. So don't miss those. Lots of merchandise to search through. Tons of kitchen stuff, household goods and nic nacks. Good size book room set up like a reading room waaay in the back of the store. You might miss, I almost did. They have a few bargain dollar racks for clothing which is nice. Some good deals there even includes pants and jackets. They have some really nice furniture at very affordable prices. The staff was nice and very helpful. read more

I am an avid thrifter and have been to thrift stores across the west coast. Nearly 75% of my wardrobe is is thrift store/consignment store finds. Things to note about this place: Location is easy to access and they have lots of different styles and good prices. That's about it for the positives of this place though. Negatives: hardly any options for petite individuals. My pants size is between a 0 and a 2 and there was only 1 pant that they had my size. NO DRESSING ROOMS ..and sales are final. Wtf? So you have to guess that something fits or looks good on you and if it doesnt well.. sucks for you cause you cant return it. Wasnt greeted when I came in. Nor was I asked if I needed help. Just got a lot of complaining about the long day and how they are so excited to close for 2 days for veterans day weekend. Not a great experience. I got a shirt and a belt for about $4.50.. would have spent a lot more if I could try things on. read more

Recently I went to their North Town Thrift Depot what a joke. First off the Employees working there should probably attend their Church more often and learn what the meaning of Gospel really is . I ask one of the employees if they are set on there prices (I mean after all it is all donated ) I didn't say that to him though he asked me what I said a t-shirt he said No . Wow and this is how "God" wants people to be? Also this is my second experience there it will be my last. Both times the Employees have been down right rude . When I asked him about the T-shirt I was in the process of buying some thing it's not that I wanted free handouts . Better yet maybe they should follow in the footsteps of the LDS they would never treat another human such as I was treated. read more

So much bigger than I would've imagined! They have 3 floors of furniture! I walked in looking for a few things and almost walked out because it looked so tiny. I asked the lady if they had furniture and she said, "Upstairs!" Boy was she right, I found some great bargains there and they were 1/2 off for Memorial weekend. read more

This place has really great sales and it's a good size. Went in when everything was half off. Good selection of clothing, most clothes are outdated but it's not like they can choose what people donate. Roommate and I moved here in Oct. '19 with what we could fit in a Chevy Suburban from Broward County, FL and found these folks after two months homeless, living in truck. The folks were quite welcoming and more than helpful! We purchased some items incl. some help for an acquaintance at amazingly good prices. The delivery cost was a bargain to the North Valleys from 4th St. and the service was fast & professional (2nd floor). We were so impressed that, when our guest left a month later, we donated the sleeper couch back to help fund their services. We have returned often and will be life customers. Thrift store stock varies and what they have is what they have. Found a great woman's suit with the original tags. (Hurry down to get it cause it was too small for me!) Great prices in my opinion $1-4 dollars per piece. Cool furniture section. A lot of coloring books but limited toys. Best prices for books I've ever seen 25 cents! Very chill environment. Smaller than most thrift stores so easy to look at everything without feeling like it's a workout or get overwhelmed. read more

One of the only Thrift Depots we still patronize as prices aren't as high as the other Thrift Depots which costs have skyrocketed and leveled out as higher in just last 2 months. There are still 50% off sales on ALL clothing, not just specific items though they don't get the good clothing like the Glenbrae Store does though we don't look at clothing there. Glenbrae prices are outrageous and their clothing sales are only on certain color tags. We used to make a day to visit them all but only visit a few now, as their prices are so high and their sales so skimpy now it's not worth the trip This store's prices are probably the best and the sales are on a vast array of items, not just certain colored tags. Thrift Depot Stores used to have 30% off Bric A Brac quite frequently which has steadily turned into a rare 20% off sale. There are some items here way way over-priced don't get me wrong. But this store is on the tail end of going downhill due to prices like the other Thrift Depots, especially Glenbrae. The clear acre store has suffered too but you can still get a few deals there. We visit thrift depot at clear acre and this one. No more wasting our time at the other thrift stores. Much of it depends upon how greedy the manager is. All stores have really nice, friendly employees. This one especially has the store employees handing out socks with a very loving response to those who need them. Great representation of Christ found here, a surprise bonus. read more
