Formerly known as Larkellen. Previously located on at 606 Plumb Lane. An adorable little Baby & Home store that is very easy to find. Parking is tight, but there is always plenty. Every time I've visited, I always find the perfect little gift. Although those perfect little gifts are on the pricy side, it's nice knowing you're supporting a locally owned shop rather than a big box store. Shopping small is so important! Their shelves of products are always changing up. There are always new items to shop. The items are never stale. They tend to also carry lots of locally sourced and made items as well. They will gift wrap your purchase if you like. I love that! A few times I stopped on my way to a get together and needed something in a rush. I love that I can walk out and it be packaged all cute and ready to go! My only complaint are the hours. They tend to consistently change up. I highly recommend calling first to see when they will be closing for that day as I've driven over from Sparks around 5pm three times now and they've been random closed. Just call and double check before you waste your gas and time. Or even watch her stories on Instagram. I've learned she typically will post a story about if she staying late that day, or if they are deciding to close early.

Larkellen is the definition of boutique! Tucked away in the Arlington Gardens Mall, this adorable little shop has a variety of specialty items that you don't even know that you need/want. The shop is family run and the owner, Meme, has a great style and flair that is clearly the inspiration behind the store. If you are looking for a wedding or hostess gift, this would be the perfect spot to come. Inside they have kitchen and home goods items, including inspirational hand towels, gourmet gluten-free cookie mixes, and super sleek ice cream scoops. You can also find some clothing and accessory items such as snarky t-shirts, jewelry, beautiful leather wallets, and funky boots. For the men in your lives, they have some shaving essentials, cool watches, and really unique barware. Meme was very proud to show me around her store and gave me an explanation of how they work hard to stock as many fair trade, local items as possible, and if not local, at least small batch, made in the USA. Awesome! I ended up buying myself a new wallet/clutch as I couldn't resist walking out of this adorable new store without a little treat for myself. The selection is limited and the prices are on the higher side, but the quality and uniqueness is certainly there! I will be back for gifts (and hopefully avoid indulging in more presents for myself).

We are very loyal customers. Quality/Quantity - Here for the Wax and Watch event DIG. My first time and what an amazing event. Fundraising for so many nonprofits, see pictures. Also sponsored by Fifty Fifty Brewing Co; I had a few too many beers, too good of a time. I also found out about Fifty's Grand opening at RPM, which we also supported and attended the next day, see other Yelp Review. Non alcoholic drinks were also available. Too lazy to have brought our equipment for the wax. Plus Mt Rose gives us each 4 free waxes that I rarely use up. Raffle - We did NOT win. Atmosphere - Clean and organized location. Love the NV art on the side of the building/in the parking lot. Cool! See pictures. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 7pm and on Sundays from 10am to 6pm. Small parking lot, but because we came in off peak (weird) hours, it is rarely an issue for us. And today we got lucky as the lot was full but a car gave us his space. Service - The team is so welcoming and friendly. This is the #1 reason we are loyal customers. Events available - See website. Again, my first but NOT last time that I will attend an event. We will probably come back Sunday for the Mt Rose Passholder Spring Sale. Price - Expensive, but worth the quality, service, and culture. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1973. And thank you for also giving 1% to not-for-profit workers "to defend the earth." And having programs that raise awareness of environmental and social issues. My favorite program is Worn Wear. You can either sell Patagonia your used clothes or trade them in so they can fix it. I believe that reusing is better than recycling. Furthermore, they give you credit ranging from $15 to $150.

I lack a nose bridge and so sunglasses tend to rest on my cheeks. I decided that I spent too much to have a pair of sunglasses that I couldn't wear and stopped by the location at the Summit Mall on my way home from work. I went on a Wednesday afternoon and met Carson, the salesman on duty. Carson was not only helpful, but also called his boss to see what sunglasses fit her face, as she is Korean as well. I was there for over an hour and literally tried on every pair of sunglasses there. Once we found a pair that was cute and actually comfortable, there were a few tweaks that needed to be done. Since this pair was a wire frame avaitor style, by Tory Burch, Carson was able to adjust the nose piece, and heat up the temple tips to straighten them out. Carson refunded the difference between the two purchases, cleaned the new pair and reminded me of the warranty. While the new pair isn't as stylish as my beloved Burberry, they fit my face and are extremely comfortable. I commend Carson for his great customer service and his patience in working with an overly picky customer who lacks a nose bridge.

We were passing the optical dept and I mentioned to him I someday will check out the Optometry office for an eye check and he said just go and talk to them and make an appt. I walked in and they said how about right now? WTH? So I did. A little paper work and like 2 min and I was in Dr Winkelmans chair. He is an independent practice housed in this Costco. I see a retina specialist for a condition I have so my exam with him was not super comprehensive as I had just seen my retina doctor. I just needed a new prescription just for reading. The downside is he does not accept medicare or prominence..the pro side is the exam was only $119, and took right around 30 minute to complete. Today I was back in Costco to fill the prescription for glasses. There was no one else there, so I got helped right away by Jesse. He helped me with frames that looked good on me. I am a picky gal that likes designer stuff and I immediately gravitated to Cartier. Yep..they were $399! But..I had a rewards certificate from my costco card that covered almost all the cost. I purchased a couple more frames at less$$ and each one after the first got $ 50 off. Plus, prominence paid $200 towards the whole purchase! I am so happy with this dept!!! Customer service is beyond spectacular(thank you Jesse) and the prices are fantastic. Let me talk just a little more about the spendy Cartier frames. I went online OMG..the model # of the ones I purchased is CT03730 burgundy. In looking online..the same frames elsewhere are $895, $704,$981 etc..Damn I have some expensive taste! Not sure how costco can buy and resell these frames for half or more then online companies! I highly recommend this whole optical dept. You do not need a Costco membership to see the doctor but do to purchase frames and glasses. The savings just paid for the cost of membership plus!!! 1

The 'map' of your eye is the same as a fingerprint, which is already being used as a form of identification for security. They usher every patient into the retinal scanner like it's part of the exam/appointment. It felt super shady and an invasion of privacy without proper disclosure, that the doctor doesn't even look at them for your appointment, nor do you have the right to look at them without paying them directly (not covered by insurance). I mentioned the reason for my visit was discomfort in my left eye, but he said probably just allergies and that everything was fine!!! The doctor never said a word about the results and gave me a piece of paper saying it was my "prescription" to update my glasses. I didn't look at it until today, but it states that I have a chronic gland dysfunction in both eyes that needs constant care and treatment!! Pretty important information for a patient to know :( Avoid the privacy intrusion, wasting time and money, only to have to get a second opinion at your own expense.
