Then I had to wait 15 minutes in line and then someone wrote up my order and I went to pay for it. They told me I had to drive somewhere a few blocks away to pick up my items. Fine. I did that. And I get there and they say they are out of stock of 3 of my four items. Why did they just sell me out of stock items and not tell me. Now I have to call on the phone and convince them I didn't actually get the three items I paid for and they need to credit my card. I didn't have the time to drive 2 blocks and back wait in line again. Update: they don't take phone calls on the weekend, even though they are open. !!?! And all of this took an hour, which should have taken less than 5 minutes and completely messed up my whole day of scheduled events.

They had a great set up, with cutting boards and food to try the knives out. After 10 minutes cutting with various demo knives, we bought a set of five. After much anticipation, our knives came in the mail about 4 weeks later. We have had them for about 3 months now, and these have become our favorite knives. The Hammer Stahl knives are nicer than any Wusthof or Zwilling knives we have bought previously. They are razor sharp, have full tangs and beautiful wood inlaid handles, and have a lovely heft and balance to them. They almost make prep a pleasure!

You can see the colorful background elements I already had (like the green tree and biomechanical spine), and Jason is expertly integrating new, complex elements right next to them. ​I really appreciate his honesty throughout the process. He will tell you straight up what is going to look good and what is going to "look like 20 pounds of shit in a 2-pound bag." ​Even though this was definitely not my first tattoo, Jason and the entire staff actually educated me on parts of the tattooing process that I didn't even know. The shop is also immaculately clean, and it's obvious all the artists take a lot of pride in keeping it that way. ​Note: Please keep in mind that the photos show an unfinished tattoo. Good grief, and why weren't the paper placed by the paper products today they have moved those around.
