It was a last minute decision to go to there this evening and I was not really that excited about shopping...that is until I met Jessica, Denice, and Ciara. I seriously could say this is by far one of the most fun times I have had shopping for clothes. First, the customer service was spot on. They never let me have too many items in my hand by consistently, but not annoyingly, asking if I would like them to take the clothes back to the dressing room. While I was browsing, Ciara cunningly was watching my style and types of clothes I was choosing. This enabled her to pick out pieces and ask if I had seen or considered that item. Second, Jessica, Ciara, and Denise even arranged all the items I had chosen into outfits they thought would look well together. It was incredible! They showed me how things could be mixed and matched all by just hanging them up in the changing room! They showed me not only trendy, but sassy ways of thinking about dressing that could work both for casual or business wear. Denice was so knowledgeable about the specifics and ins and outs of clothing. It was clear that not only has she been doing this for a while, but that she has a passion for her work. Lastly, they said they would love it if I would show them all the outfits as I tried them on, so, what the heck! I felt like a little model (LOL)! They were so kind, funny, and honest about everything I tried on. They were there for anything I needed, whether it was to get some advice or to get something in a different size. When I was ready to check out, Jessica had a smile on her face and said she could see that I could not find anything I liked... she is hysterical! I loved Maurices clothes before, but this experience has me sold! I believe this type of customer service really ensures that customers feel at home and as if they are special. I know that I will be back to that store, I mean it was like having my own personal shoppers! ;o) They did a stellar job and I can't wait to go back for some more Spring shopping!

Most of the price tags I looked at ranged in the $10-$25 range per item. The Men's funny holiday sweater section was a little disappointing, there were only about 4-5 varieties and they were kinda ugly ugly. However, I did find a rather fun and cute patterned sweater for less than $20 so I was happy! Most of the clothing is modern, simple, and a tad eclectic in terms of patterns and styles. I may find an item or two but it's not really my style. My teen boy did find a sweater he liked as well though. So it is kind of hit and miss for me and the fam. However, I would stop by on occasion because I feel they have a big enough selection and good enough prices. Also, for the person in your life that loves fun socks, there was a good selection of those and they were buy two pair (at $4 a pair) and get on free. If you like to shop at places like Marshall's, Sierra, TJ Maxx, etc., this is definitely the best version of them. I appreciate that the clothes are actually organized, and they have one of the best shoe selections of any store. The prices are generally good and reasonable, but the clearance prices are often extreme deals with the caveat of very limited selection (obviously though, since it's clearance). They also have a really good selection of skin care, hair care, and make up. Those are the discounts I often end up appreciating the most!

The ice cream is totally different than any ice cream shop, good to try at least once. One of these times, we will have to attend the special events, never tried those before. I like the fact that they have outdoor seating and have used it many times during the summer months. It helps to have lots of umbrellas for shade since it can be quite hot during the middle of the day when shoppers want ice cream. Since most the eating places are small, the outdoor areas are a huge plus. The pizza here is quite good, so go to try that. I like the Village atmosphere which is unique to Reno. It is almost like the places in Europe. Lots of parking and you can park on the outside of the rectangle, the backside, or in front. Never had an issue finding parking. More shade, and I would give it 5 stars.
