I'll address the staff issue first, I've never ever ever had an issue with any of the employees here. They've all been very nice, very accommodating and very helpful. And I don't think it's just because I'm a familiar face, I honestly think that's just their ethic. There's been quite a few times that they don't have specific things that I need, and all the other hand, sometimes they have what other big box stores don't. So it's kind of a gamble. Generally the things they don't have, are for one of our houses that is super old. I've been an ace rewards member for probably close to 20 years. I'm constantly getting discounts via the app and coupons sent through the mail, and I've also been able to compound all of my rewards points, with other special offers. One time I came in here and I bought $40 worth of stuff, and with all the discounts, and knocked it down to just under 13 bucks! Unfortunately, our recent experiences have been frustrating enough to make us reconsider. On 11/02, we made a purchase and noticed afterward that we were overcharged. After reviewing the receipt, we had to go back and were refunded nearly $26 from a $72 total. Mistakes happen, but we appreciated the refund being processed correctly. However, things got worse when we saw a charge from the store on our credit card dated 11/28--even though neither of us had visited the store that day. We tried repeatedly to get in touch with someone who could explain the charge, but every time we called, the employee who answered said the person who could help wasn't in and to call back the next day. This went on for several days with no progress. Eventually, my husband went into the store, hoping for some answers. Unfortunately, he was again told that no one was available to help. There was no effort to take down our information, no concern shown, no follow-up, and no offer to pass along the issue to a manager. After getting nowhere with the store, we ended up disputing the charge with our bank. We're disappointed by how this was handled. If you shop here, definitely double-check your receipts and monitor your credit card for any unexplained charges. The convenience of a local store only goes so far when the customer service doesn't measure up.

One item wasn't marked at all, and the other showed a $10 sticker with an additional 50% off. When I scanned the barcode in the Ace Hardware app, the item rang up as $2.99, so I kindly requested a price match based on Ace's own listed pricing. The manager entered the interaction abruptly, avoided eye contact, and loudly exclaimed "What the F***"--a remark heard by several customers in nearby lines. This was both unprofessional and unnecessary. He then insisted the online price was inaccurate and attempted to charge an incorrect amount ($31.99!!), even after I showed the product information. I ultimately ordered the items for in-store pickup at the correct price, but the situation could have been resolved quickly and respectfully in the moment. I've included a photo with the serial number so this can be reviewed by leadership and handled more appropriately going forward. The rest of the staff was excellent; the issue was solely with the manager's conduct. I hope future visits to this location reflect the professionalism Ace is known for.

Penalties for violating NRS 598: For individuals: Penalties can range from a misdemeanor for a first offense to a gross misdemeanor for a second, and a category D felony for the third and subsequent offenses. And I get there and they say they are out of stock of 3 of my four items. Why did they just sell me out of stock items and not tell me. Now I have to call on the phone and convince them I didn't actually get the three items I paid for and they need to credit my card. I didn't have the time to drive 2 blocks and back wait in line again. Update: they don't take phone calls on the weekend, even though they are open. !!?! Currently sitting with one lovely room that is carpeted and a master closet with no carpet. Repeat calls to get an answer on status. Very difficult to reach anyone for help- 15 minutes or more for a phone that rings or dropped into a queue repetitively, until finally reaching someone in the store for help. Informed carpet ordered to finish job- mid-May at the earliest to have a job completed that was initiated in March. Nothing more than a "sorry for the inconvenience". Once is a fluke twice is a pattern. I hope that the supplier issues are resolved and no one else has to endure this comedy of errors. The Installers (Reno Flooring) have done a great job and have attention to detail. Installers are very nice and they did their very best to complete this project. I feel sorry for the installers- this probably cost them valuable time and money too with these supplier issues.

It took a second to find as toilet repair is next to new toilets and separate from plumbing which makes sense. The service wasn't great, no employee ever spoke to me the entire visit, but I also didn't seek out any assistance and don't blame them for going about their work. However, I noticed a lot of birds chirping and flying around inside and a few products and places inside were covered in bird poop. I suppose this is an expected hazard when running a Home Depot, and I decided to go get some firewood and bird seed for my back yard. Outside the firewood and most of the products in the garden sections are severely weathered, worn, and are completely covered in bird droppings and seemed pretty disgusting. I decided to skip buying anything outside and went inside to get bird seed. When I approached the bird seed you could hear loud squeaking and I saw 3-4 mice eating all the bird food and jumping in between the racks. The bags had holes and there was seed and rodent droppings everywhere. I tried to see if maybe there was an untouched bag at the bottom but the entire inventory was also covered in rodent urine. Pretty disgusted, I decided to just buy the toilet parts and leave. There is no hand sanitizer anywhere and I stead of trying to go to the restroom to wash my hands I paid and left and got some sanitizer from my car. To be honest, this experience has definitely affected whether or not I would return, I probably won't until there is a bit better quality control with products and sanitation. The prices are good and the customer service is par for the course. They installed a new self checkout area which comes with more work for you and reduced staffing, but the products and quality has taken a nosedive.
