Mannnn I love this store! I love Ace hardware stores in general, but I'm in here probably 4 or 5 times a month? I live really close, so it's really convenient to pop in for a bag of wood or other little trinkets I may need. I'll address the staff issue first, I've never ever ever had an issue with any of the employees here. They've all been very nice, very accommodating and very helpful. And I don't think it's just because I'm a familiar face, I honestly think that's just their ethic. There's been quite a few times that they don't have specific things that I need, and all the other hand, sometimes they have what other big box stores don't. So it's kind of a gamble. Generally the things they don't have, are for one of our houses that is super old. I've been an ace rewards member for probably close to 20 years. I'm constantly getting discounts via the app and coupons sent through the mail, and I've also been able to compound all of my rewards points, with other special offers. One time I came in here and I bought $40 worth of stuff, and with all the discounts, and knocked it down to just under 13 bucks! The best hardware store! Sometimes I can find the apecial things I need that NONE of the big box stores stock, like 36" watter supply lines for a bathroom sink! That staff is always on point, helpful, greet you, the whole nine yards of customer service. They have that down to a science. I try to go here and support the local ownership, and the pies are magnificent. Online ordering for delivery or pickup is polished and fast. Bix box stores, take note. read more

My husband had stopped in to the Ace Harware on Virginia Street and found out they have a freezer case with pies from the Ripon Pie bakery. When we lived in CA, my sister used to get the apricot or peach pie for family functions. They are super yummy. I was so happy that we found out they carry them out here now. I just picked up an Apricot pie, and I am looking forward to having it with some vanilla bean ice cream. They have a lot of flavors. Peach, cherry, boysenberry, Dutch apple, apple cobbler, mixed berry, strawberry rhubarb, apple, blackberry, blueberry.... The service is great and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Total was $20.56, for a whole 9 inch pie is worth it. read more

Purchased numerous items online for our annual Christmas tree cutting. We ordered everything we needed via online day before Thanksgiving. Our order was carefully picked which included a fresh tarp for, brand new saw just for our tree and a Krinner and some newer ratchets. The most amazing customer service ever! Nicest people work at this hardware store. I walked in to pick up and was even offered help to get all items into my vehicle. Everyone was so helpful and polite. This local gem is packed with a staff that are all knowledgeable and helpful. They're always quick to lend a hand with product selection. The store has way more than I was expecting. They've got bird food, feeders, household items and everything you'd expect to find at the big box stores. The difference is that it's a locally owned biz and the staff isn't hiding from you like they do at some of those un-named big name stores. How nice to have a hardware store so close to home! We got excellent service from the moment we walked in. I had my little dog and purse and was struggling to get a cart, when a staff member came to help me. Every time we passed a staff member they asked if we needed any help. It was fun to be in a brand spanking new store - almost as good as a new car. My doggie is a huge fan, because the cashier gave him a dog biscuit. Ace is generally higher than Home Depot or Lowes and for me it's not an issue because you are treated so much better at Ace. I usually go to the Reno Ace but was told about this one and I was very pleased. Nice people who treat you like a customer and actually seem to want to help you. So far, I've had no issue with the production selection and have found items that those two big box stores didn't have. For me there is pricing value but there is a lot of value as to how you are treated and for that reason I shop here. Also, their pies are great. read more

They treat each team member with respect and professionalism. All my coworkers are great to work with. We all get along and help each other out when needed. good location, good inventory. Hard to imagine having a 75+ degree day with people working in the yard that they close at 7 PM. As I was sitting in my car after walking to the door and trying to open, I proceeded back to my car and sat there for a minute, deciding if I really wanted to go to Home Depot. I simply decided to go home. As I was sitting there, another personal drove up next to me, and he was also shocked if they were closed. Each of us we're trying to buy irrigation supplies to fix a broken sprinklers He left to go to Home Depot I would encourage the owners to stay open during all daylight hours I know it's tough for staffing, but if you'd like sales that generates cash flow you have to be open. read more

I bought an axe handle. It broke on the first swing. I was denied an exchange because I didn't have the entire handle. I only had the 2/3 that broke. Manager was not professional. Then when I went back a few days later they were out of stock and again couldn't do anything. Overall a waste of time and money. read more
