I went here today to upgrade my old phone right as the store opened. There were probably about a dozen people waiting already for the Galaxy Nexus launch. I probably had the wait about 15 minutes but the manager came over hand started to help me until one of the other employees was free. Erich took over after a minute or two and was very helpful and polite. Overall for the number of customers they had streaming in first thing in the morning they helped them all rather quickly and everyone seemed very happy with their service. read more

I had a wonderful experience! Patrick was incredible, helping me quickly replace the glass screen protector that was completely mangled but absolutely saved my 6+. He quickly swapped my plan options and explained the differences between different Verizon locations and the service they offer. This store is great for Microsoft employees as he was very knowledgable about all of the available plan options. He explained how Apple's new phone every year program would work with my plan / benefits and what Verizon offered as well. On top of that my fiancé is going back to England and he gave me options on how to get her phone setup as well as the Verizon global support number to go through all the options available. WOW ! talk about a great decision to change from TMobile to Verizon. My husband walked in on Saturday and was completed ported with his existing number in 20 minutes flat. I had planned to stay on Tmobile until my daughter's old phone arrived for me by mail, but on Sunday morning I got my phone wet and needed a new one ASAP. Sydney did an amazing job getting me upgraded to a great new phone, added to my husband's plan and out the door for a lunch date. A sales rep flat-out lied to me. Insisted that the credit check would be a soft pull. I reiterated: "You SURE it's a soft pull?" He said, "oh yes, very soft" with a chuckle. Umm, it was a hard pull. When I called to complain they were like "Oh he needs a bit of coaching" and kept trying to tell me I hadn't been lied to. At least, not intentionally. Seriously? Either their training is insufficient to result in trustworthy sales reps, or the sales rep himself is untrustworthy. Take responsibility for it somehow, please. If you go here to sign up with a plan, I advise you double-check EVERYTHING. Watch your back--they're friendly and easy to interact with, but will apparently sink to pretty low levels to get your money. Extra star for how pleasant an experience it was otherwise. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. We switched from AT&T and the person (I think his name was John Michael) who set up our contract totally messed this up. Our employee discounts are not being applied, our monthly service discounts for being on EDGE are not being applied and in general our bill is a mess every month. While I have a receipt stating my phone was purchased on EDGE when we bought it in March, it didn't show up that way in Verizon's systems until May. And basically if a store employee messes up setting your account, its going to stay that way for however long you stay with verizon. Every month I spend an hour on the phone with Verizon explaining the same things over and over again to get my credit - EACH MONTH. All because I made the mistake of going into this store. Beware you are much better off in the store at issaquah - atleast they didn't mess up my accessory purchase. And as I have learned, you are so much better off with AT&T. read more

I'm writing an update to my fairly nice review. I received a yelp comment from a fellow yelper saying that you might not be so happy if you knew how much these guys got paid. Fair point considering I made a point that alot of companies hire low wage help to keep rates low. I can't verify what Verizon reps in store get paid, but my review stands. Verizon has lowered their prices to stay competitive with at&t and sprint(not quite as low as them but still pretty good) and their service is still good enough when I compare to others in the industry. I wouldn't compare Verizon service to the Ritz right? Also I don't really care how much money they make if I feel my rate is fair. Located in the Bear Creek Shopping center between Safeway and Panera Bread, this Verizon location is easily accessible with lots of parking. I had to get a new phone because of damage to my old one, and the customer service guy was super helpful. He got everything moved over from my old phone for me, even helped me sync my Gmail and Yahoo email accounts to the new phone. TIP: If you need non-emergency help, come when there's a Seahawks game on as you'll most likely be the only customer (as is what happened to me) and will get speedy, attentive service. ;) read more

The service is horrible. I was asking about the sync between verizon cloud and my iPhone 5s. People had no idea what they were talking about and insisted the reason that verizon cloud does not sync with my iPhone is because the content was uploaded from my old phone which is a Samsung Galaxy. The fat guy in a Seahawks jersey was so rude and was like 'I know people go to google for these kind of questions'. Another stupid guy simply went to a tablet in the store and opened google and asked me to find help there. Those guys are unbelievable!!! I just had the most expedient, hassle-free customer service experience I've ever had the pleasure of encountering at a carrier store of any kind. Every single person we met was no-nonsense, get-it-done, effective and service-oriented. I want to especially call out Arun. Anybody who needs a new phone or a new plan should look him up. He will take care of you, and bring up every detail you need to know up front (what's the activation fee, oh did you know there's a discount for porting your number, etc). Arun said his job was to make my day. You know what? He did. I came in with a specific request, and he nailed it. He didn't waffle and tell me to wait while he talked to his manager, he just figured out the best solution to my request and executed it, efficiently and positively. read more

As one person started to help me, the other three clerks, who were standing close by, started laughing and giggling over some inside humor It was embarrassing and distracting for me. I always come to this location to pay my monthly bills. The staff is usually polite. The only complaint that I have is that you have to "check in" when you walk through the door to be put in line. I understand why they do this....kinda. But at the sametime.....when I go in, I tend to look around at accessories and stuff before I'm ready to pay. If they call your name and you're still looking around, they take you off the list and when you are finished looking they put you back on it. This isn't fair that you have to wait for all of the people who came in after you just to pay a bill and merely purchase a cellphone case. Maybe if the location wasn't so busy then this wouldn't be so annoying. But last time I ended up staying in the store for over 35 minutes, when it could have just taken me no more than 10 minutes. read more

Worst Verizon store ever, avoid!!! Probably my worst retail experience ever, and rather shifty at that. We wanted to simply trade in and buy out remaining cost for defective phone. Basically we were told "there is nothing we can do" other than jacked up contract price, then tried to add on selling extended warranty and insurance (Arun). He kept wanting us to prove the phone did not work and then blamed the case, when clearly the phone. Manager called over (Angel), and equally unpleasant and unhelpful. This is despite our being Verizon customers for many years... Basically they would rather lose us as customer if cannot add on a bunch of high margin upsell services we did not want, rather than listen and work with us. Went online to Verizon.com and contradicts everything they were telling us they could not do...very clearly offers buyout option. read more

So last Monday evening (June 6th), I was out walking in Redmond when the touch screen on my el-cheapo (LG Cosmos Touch) phone stopped working. I decided to walk home by purposely going past the Redmond Verizon store, to see whether the phone could be fixed, or would need to be replaced. Right when I walked in, the guy who takes customer names down on the wait list turned the phone off and back on to see if that fixed the problem. I wasn't born yesterday, and could've told him that I'd already tried that (twice) and that I'd also taken the battery out & put it back in once. Seriously. Try asking customers for their input, so that their valuable time isn't further wasted. So he took my name down, and after about 7 or 8 minutes spent waiting, the "manager" (Michael? Thomas? Or some equally indistinct name) brought me back to take an additional look at the phone. He determined that it needed to be replaced, and began the ordering process. At least one employee came back to ask him a question while he was "helping" me, and during this process, he asked me for my shipping address three separate times. Somehow he figured out to write it down on the third time. He told me that while my new phone was being shipped, I could use a temporary replacement phone, which he provided for me, and even ported my contact list to, which was the one nice thing he did, and he kept my now-unworking phone. Ok, so now that my new phone has been ordered, and I have a working phone in hand, I sign something stating that the temporary replacement will be returned to Verizon in 10 days. No biggie, since my new phone is under warranty & will be shipped overnight. Fast forward to Friday, June 10th. My new phone arrived on June 9th, but it was a busy day, so I didn't get to open the package. Upon opening the package, however, I see that the wrong phone (non-touch screen) was sent to me. Luckily, Verizon's Customer Service by phone is available until 11pm, so I called to relay this story. the guy I talked to (Tim, I think) was very nice, and also quite understanding, and he apologized and made sure to send me the correct phone. Gold star for Tim, the correct phone arrived today! Except that there is no battery or back-casing attached to my new phone. So I called the same Customer Service phone number, and the nice man I spoke to said that usually customers use the existing battery and back-casing from their original phones. I explained that that makes sense to me, but that the "manager" at the Redmond store KEPT MY ORIGINAL PHONE! So this nice man on the Customer Service line apologized again and sent me the necessary equipment. I made sure to ask if I'm going to be responsible for the cost of keeping the temporary replacement phone for more than 10 days, since the "manager" screwed up this order in the first place. We shall see what happens on my next bill... Short version of the story is this: I am displeased with the customer service (or lack thereof) by the "manager" at Verizon in Redmond. I'm using a flip-phone that looks like the one I had 8 years ago. Time to get this sh!t straightened out, people. read more

Horrible service! They blatantly lie to you and do nothing whatsoever to compensate you for your wasted time. Today I went into this Verizon Store to purchase a pack of screen protectors for my Samsung Galaxy Nexus. I then asked the employee if they had any extended batteries for this model. They had no idea of what they had in stock and I had to wait several minutes for them to return with the battery. Upon seeing the $50 dollar price tag for a simple battery I declined the purchase. The employee instantly lowered the prices after hearing that I was not interested. The pack of just 3 screen protectors had a price tag of $15 dollars, they lowered it to $3.57 including tax. The single battery had a price tag of $50 and they lowered that to $37.48 including tax. Considering how overpriced Verizon products and services are in general I was still not convinced. So I asked a simple question that any properly trained employee should be able to answer, or at the very least look up the information. Their employee told me that this upgrade would be changing my stock batteries mA from 1300 to 2100 which is an improvement of about 60%. This seemed like a decent deal and I accepted but not before they attempted to push a sales pitch to get a new phone. Then when I drove all the way home I immediately opened the new battery to make sure everything was in order. To my surprise the stock battery I already had in my phone was not 1300 mA, not even close. It was 1850 mA, meaning that the upgrade from their stock 1850 mA battery to their extended battery with 2100 mA is BARELY over 10% more power. Yet they are trying to charge $50 dollars for it. Also the extended battery fit perfectly in the stock Android protective case which their employee told me that it would not and was preparing to try to sell me that too if they had it in stock. I took the battery back to the store obviously frustrated that they would lie to me and try to misinform their customers. If the employee had ANY DOUBT whatsoever that they did not know the correct mA for the stock battery I expect them to look it up to double check... But once I get back to the store they refuse to compensate me in any way whatsoever even though they wasted well over an hour of my time. I requested some kind of store credit, even a couple dollars or a free phone case. But they CLEARLY do not value their customers time.Their best solution for my problem was to lower the extended batteries price to 50% instead of their original value of "75%". So they wanted me to pay $25 dollars for barely a 10% increase in battery power. Their manager also refused to give me the phone number to his supervisor when I was dissatisfied with their service. They did refund me the extended battery price, but I expect a higher quality service from such an overpriced "premium" phone company. So in conclusion: 1) This store's employees WILL try to rip you off. They will tell you the wrong specs for your phones in an attempt to make you buy stuff you don't actually need. They are paid by commission and will do whatever they can to rip you off. Probably 90% of their customers are not tech savvy enough to actually realize details like this and call them on it... so be cautious. 2) Their in-store price tags are not the real price. Similar to a dirty car dealership, the sticker price is probably at least 50% higher than what it should be. I mean lowering my phone screen protectors from $15 dollars to $3 dollars in an attempt to sweeten their battery deal?! Very devious business behavior. 3) Their employees are rude, and either poorly trained or unqualified. The employee that told me the wrong information for the battery did not even attempt to apologize, they just denied it and acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. 4) They do not value their customers, we are just a walking $ sign to them. Whatever happened to a company making right with their customer when THEY mess up? 5) Verizon is super overpriced, and doesn't even provide very good service anymore considering the other stores are MUCH cheaper and provide much better package plans like unlimited data for example. There is NO WAY I am going to continue my contract with them after seeing the way they treat their customers. I advise everyone to steer clear of this store, and if you do have to go there make sure you check every detail and make them lower their artificial high prices. They WILL try to scam you. read more

One star is more than this store deserves. I sent this email with these issues to the top manager more than two weeks ago and she has yet to respond: The salesperson recommended an Invisible Shield screen protector and told me "it had a lifetime warranty and I would be able to exchange it if it ever scratched or chipped". Although more than I was planning to pay I felt this feature made the sale and would not have considered it otherwise. Shortly thereafter I went out of the country and returned late on Saturday May 12. During the trip the Invisible Shield chipped and scratched easily and I returned Monday May 14th when the store open to exchange the item. At that time I was told it was past your 14 day return period and I was not eligible for a refund and if I wanted an exchange I had to do it through the company and pay shipping charges. This is in spite of the fact that Zagg has a 30 day refund policy for their product. Two points that upset me: 1. Whether unintentional or intentional, the information provided to me about the product by the salesperson was deceptive. Unless the customer is specifically told you have to return a product in another manner it is a given that the the product can be exchanged at the same place it was purchased. Leaving out that information is false and misleading and leaves the customer without adequate information to make an informed purchase decision. 2. Verizon is failing to honor the product's warranty. Verizon effectively cuts this product's warranty for returns in half. This is terrible customer service. At minimum this should be disclosed to the customer at the time of purchase. read more

Service is slow and the staff seem unable to handle basic tasks. The upselling is obnoxious and over-the-top. If you have a choice, go elsewhere. My wife and I visited this store front on Saturday afternoon to upgrade our two basic phones to smartphones and buy a basic phone for our daughter. Along with the accompanying data plan upgrade. The entire process took almost two and we left dissatisfied. Otherwise, we have been happy with Verizon's service coverage and the ability to talk free with our family members who are also on Verizon. I originally was going to write a review about this store that was scathing and as little stars as possible. I called the store to make sure I was getting ready to blast the correct store. The manager of the store answered. When I said I was just making sure I was contacting the right store he told me who he was and is there was anything he could do to help me. Well, I told him how horrible the store was in his store when we stopped by yesterday. We waited 45 minutes and still didn't get help. Only one person talked to us after we signed in and that was to say it we would be helped soon. I told him how I never get out of that store under an hour and that the customer service sucked ass. He told me how he had just started in the store a month ago and how he was working to turn the store around so it was a place where people enjoyed doing business. He reassured me of his commitment and even gave me his personal number to call him directly. If no stars was an option, I'd pick that. Verizon Wireless SUCKS. They have now made the same mistake on my bill TWICE. The first time I spent 4 hours at the Alderwood store correcting it. Nightmare. Complete nightmare. This 2nd time, I'm dealing with Verizon Wireless via the 611 number. Nightmare. They accidently overcharged me over $500. They've admitted it was their mistake. The error took place November 17, 2014. It is now January 9, 2015 and I'm on my 9th or 10th call to 611. Each and every time (no exceptions), the person on the other end says "Oh, I see you are on the schedule to get a call tomorrow". Guess what? Tomorrow comes and goes without a call from Verizon. I called on January 7 and the girl on the other end practically promised me her first born....saying they'd call me and have it cleared up on January 8. It's January 9th. So I called Verizon again. I had to explain the entire situation over again. Today's Verizon rep has promised a call back today. Tick tock tick tock.....we'll see. The moment they clear this up and return the money they stole from me, I will be moving to another carrier. Me, my 2 teenagers and husband will be moving our business. And, I will blog the hell out of this online and to my fellow MSFT co-workers. Shame on you Verizon Wireless. You fucked up and just lost a very good loyal customer. read more

So I will start by saying I have been with Verizon since I got my first cell phone over 13years ago...I was generally happy with Verizon until the past 2 years. The reason I have stayed with them the past 2 years is I was grandfathered in on unlimited data. However I have noticed while my data package is unlimited there are times when I am envious of my old dial up internet speeds. 4GLTE is apparently just an icon on my status bar as it should not take a minute and a half to load the Verizon homepage. To top things off my wife's phone started started shutting off mid call and mid text. She has a regular "dumb" phone and it has 2 jobs to perform, making calls and sending texts, 0 for 2 Verizon. So to recap save your time and energy and go with a different carrier. Verizon is 100% EPIC FAIL!!! read more

one star is to good for this store. The rudest do nothing sales staff in the chain. Been in a couple times as it is close but will never go back. Wanted to upgrade to a new plan with two new phones and the guy was very rude. after pushing him to see if we could do it he told us he needed to speak with his manager. We watched as he did this, they actually stood there and conversed while laughing loudly. Now it may not have been about us bit as a manager you don't look across the store at the customer and laugh while talking to sales about the customer. so we went home, next day called the help line and got everything upgraded and was cheaper on a better plan with a great customer service person. The only catch, we needed to go pick up the new phones at the store as they had them all. Went to the store, same guy told us an hour and a half wait, are you kidding me. THAT is a poor manager, if you make customers wait that long than you didn't plan for the action! Verizon lies in its claim to have great coverage. Our service in terms of dropped calls and poor reception has gone way down to levels similar to 2008. They tell me I now live in a marginal coverage area. I haven't moved. So services improved from 2008 until 2017 then falls off and now I am in a marginal coverage area. Want to make a bet it has to do with some sort of cost saving measure Verizon has come up with? They open tickets for me and my neighbors then tell us we are in their marginal coverage area. Most expensive bad service I can imagine. Shopping for a new carrier. Verizon over charges and now under delivers. Tonight we are having heavy smoke and bad air quality. Phone doesn't work inside.
