I am far from a professional when it comes to IT installations, but I know enough to be dangerous. And after getting quotes to install ethernet in my 1980s circa home, one never wired for ethernet, one that just went through a significant renovation where I, in my supreme wisdom said "WiFi is great, now! Who need hardwires anymore?" was now faced with retrofitting several rooms and office with ethernet and said, this guy over here, the independent with a normal sounding company name, yeah - lets go with him! Mistake!! After schedule, and reschedule, and delays, and reschedule, we got nowhere with contractor number one. Meanwhile, Roberto and Peter at Those Tech Guys had patiently followed up several times, continued to be pleasant and professional, and AFTER I said no thank you I am going to go with someone else! So I made the dreaded call back - "So remember when I said if things change . . . " Peter was quick to jump on the phone, and walk me through things at every step. Gave me a highly competitive bid, and an install time of only a few days from when I called. They cam onsite, were clean courteous, and efficient. They played with my dog (I mean who doesn't love a bowling ball Staffy Bull Terrier mix?) and made light work of the install, and the final cost (with tip!) was even below the initial quote. This was made possible as Peter walked my home and together we found opportunities to do things more quickly, and save a few dollars along the way. In the end, I didn't choose Those Tech Guys first, but you should. No regrets here, other than I should have picked them first!

One of the team members had to drive back for a ladder during the job. And both finished at 5pm 16 billable hours for a 5 runs vs 6 runs and paid full price. The worst part is I was under the impression that they (during booking and pre-install) would try their best to conceal wires, but the majority of wires ended up exposed and longer than necessary. Camera down to crawl space then back up exterior wall (next to downspout) through soffit vent into attic. Vs. camera up exterior wall into attic via soffit vent. I tried contacting the team to offer to pay more to have wires rerouted to no avail. The cameras work. I'm grateful for that.

We wanted to install a 70 inch tv on a moveable mount in the only place it would fit (above a weird, fake fireplace that came with the house). Friends suggested going with one of those cheap $70/hour places but we wanted it done right and safe. When we found this place, it first seemed a little too fancy and I worried they wouldn't do a small job like this, but Rob was great about explaining the cost and process and everything worked out. I was looking for someone to help me transform an 18'x12' space in our lower living floor in to a…read moresmall home theater for a while when I was fortunate to find Adam. I was really hoping to take advantage of real home theater equipment with a dedicated receiver and speakers instead of having to settle for a sound bar yet again. To say that Adam was the perfect find in my quest for this project would be an understatement! From our first meeting where he swung by for a walkthrough of my space and I had the opportunity to first describe my end goal I knew he was who I wanted to work with. His undivided attention to my vision and patience answering all my questions peppered with critical advice wherever needed was exactly what I needed. I decided to proceed with hiring him for my project after our initial sync. Right from the beginning he was very cognizant of my budget and needs and did a fantastic job helping me choose just the right equipment I'd need to truly get the most out of my investment. The amount of time and effort he invested in addressing all my questions/concerns and helping me narrow down things to the best components for the space and my price range is something I will always really appreciate. We went over a few quotes and settled on the final setup after which we collaborated on purchasing the equipment(some of the components I purchased directly, while the rest he procured for me from his distributors). Adam kept me posted at every step of the way from ordering through delivery of the necessary equipment until we finally scheduled the install date once we had all the equipment delivered. On the install date, Adam arrived promptly, and set out to work tirelessly until the entire room was wired up, equipment installed and perfectly callibrated and my mind blown with the final result. He did a fantastic job of running the required speaker wire under the baseboards and mounting the equipment(including an 83" panel) cleanly, and then calibrating the entire system for the space. Additionally I'd requested some help with lighting in a few spaces. Even though the overall work went over by a few hours compared to what was originally quoted(which is perfectly reasonable for the quality of work performed), and for which I'd have gladly paid him for his efforts, Adam only charged me for the hours that he'd originally quoted me. That type of integrity is just rare to come across! His work ethic, attention to detail and honesty is inspiring and I'd recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone that has similar needs for a project.
