My fiancé and I had this grand idea to buy one of the latest OLED LG TVs to sit flush against the wall. We landed on the LG GX series but then realized this beast would be challenging to mount since we wanted absolutely no wires/wall covers to show outside of the wall. We realized from the website that we would need a recessed box with power and not a raceway mount to achieve our goal. The beauty of this TV is that it is set to look like a gallery art piece when mounted correctly. The problem with this is logistics-- it's super thin so can't simply drill a hole in the wall and pull cords out through (otherwise we would have simply done this ourself). We began the hunt to find an experienced flat screen TV mounter. After speaking to 2-3 other places, we discovered a variety of issues from some places not understanding the specificity of mounting this particular model and wanting to use their own hardware, to others requiring an outside electrician to set up the recessed box power, and to companies that said they would mount it but provide no further cable management. We finally found Michael through Yelp and landed on gold. Not only has he done this mount before and attended a LG instruction class to do so, but also he is a licensed electrician license himself- He's literally a 2 for 1! He also mounted our Sonos sound bar as well. We are so happy to have found someone that knows what they are doing, since we were cutting into the wall of our home. We ended up having a complete plan over Yelp messaging where he recommended that I not use a fully articulating mount which I had bought from Costco and use a fixed mount which he can provide. I think that was a good idea as with our install that provides a lower profile and is also much more robust straining the wall a lot less. After buying a new house and realizing that I don't possess the coordination or skills to mount a TV I decided to find a good place to get it done by professionals so my shiny new 4K TV wouldn't rip my shiny new wall down. First place I found, flaked out on me twice. That's when I found Michael and boy am I glad I did.
