I was looking for someone to help me transform an 18'x12' space in our lower living floor in to a small home theater for a while when I was fortunate to find Adam. I was really hoping to take advantage of real home theater equipment with a dedicated receiver and speakers instead of having to settle for a sound bar yet again. To say that Adam was the perfect find in my quest for this project would be an understatement! From our first meeting where he swung by for a walkthrough of my space and I had the opportunity to first describe my end goal I knew he was who I wanted to work with. His undivided attention to my vision and patience answering all my questions peppered with critical advice wherever needed was exactly what I needed. I decided to proceed with hiring him for my project after our initial sync. Right from the beginning he was very cognizant of my budget and needs and did a fantastic job helping me choose just the right equipment I'd need to truly get the most out of my investment. The amount of time and effort he invested in addressing all my questions/concerns and helping me narrow down things to the best components for the space and my price range is something I will always really appreciate. We went over a few quotes and settled on the final setup after which we collaborated on purchasing the equipment(some of the components I purchased directly, while the rest he procured for me from his distributors). Adam kept me posted at every step of the way from ordering through delivery of the necessary equipment until we finally scheduled the install date once we had all the equipment delivered. On the install date, Adam arrived promptly, and set out to work tirelessly until the entire room was wired up, equipment installed and perfectly callibrated and my mind blown with the final result. He did a fantastic job of running the required speaker wire under the baseboards and mounting the equipment(including an 83" panel) cleanly, and then calibrating the entire system for the space. Additionally I'd requested some help with lighting in a few spaces. Even though the overall work went over by a few hours compared to what was originally quoted(which is perfectly reasonable for the quality of work performed), and for which I'd have gladly paid him for his efforts, Adam only charged me for the hours that he'd originally quoted me. That type of integrity is just rare to come across! His work ethic, attention to detail and honesty is inspiring and I'd recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone that has similar needs for a project. I've included a few pictures of the before and after setup of the space mentioned above. read more

Had Adam install a 70" inch TV, Speaker bar, and wire connections to a pre-existing cabinet and wired an IR Blaster so I can hide all the equipment and still have remotes work. He also wired internet line from my router in my office through the crawl space to the cabinet. So happy with the install and the way it looks....really clean. Also wired another volume control for my home speaker system. I got a couple quotes and his was the best. Had some guys wanting to drill holes and set up conduit through the outside of my house. A year later and Adam is still prompt with answering occasional questions. Highly recommended. You'll be happy with the end product. read more

What really makes Encore stand out is that YOU CAN CALL THEM FOR HELP practically anytime if anything they installed gets confusing or doesn't work. You can't put a price on fixing frustration!!! I feel like they are on my team!!! A couple of years ago I hired Encore to install a flat screen TV that other companies told me was too high for them. The customer service was so outstanding that it started a series of other installations including a surround sound entertainment theater with TV, DVD, radio, and Apple TV in my library and sound throughout the house. Then TV mounted on the wall in the mancave, and another TV in the meeting room that is connected wireless to the TV in the library. Adam and his folks are always on the leading edge of technology. No one has better knowledge of how things work including so-call customer service from my satellite service. read more

I could not be more happy with they way that things turned out. And when I decide to upgrade, I will be calling him again. He is fantastic. I have before and after photos. Back in September I had Adam install a few TVs in a house I had just moved into. I wasn't able to be there when the work was done, but I was very pleased with the result. A couple of weeks ago I ran into an issue I couldn't resolve on my own with a wireless system I was in the process of expanding so I decided to call Adam to see if he'd be willing to take a look. He returned my request promptly, (even though he was in Europe!), and we scheduled an appointment. Within about 30 seconds he had correctly diagnosed the issue. He corrected the problem, installed the last 2 speakers of my system and tested the system's performance. So, great, he can install things and fix stuff. But, here is what really stands out about Adam- he is a really nice, genuine person. Just a stellar human being that gives me hope that the human race hasn't completely devolved..... If you're looking for quality delivered with kindness by someone you can trust, contact Encore Custom Theater. read more

Would give more than 5 Stars if I could!!! Adam always goes above and beyond to give additional advisement on how I could make upgrades to my system without his assistance - a top class operation with the caring personable feel of your neighbor down the road. My electronics remodels for my flips will continue to stay with Encore! read more

Contracted Encore Custom Theater to do three flatpanel installs (one on a working brick fireplace, another above a bedroom fireplace), one 5.1 speaker install, and one 7.1 speaker install. Adam was very professional, thorough, honest and good-natured. Although the install became more complicated than he initially thought, he honored his initial estimate. My main concern was mounting the TVs above the fireplaces and more specifically... directly on the brick fireplace. I met with three other contractors and was not satisfied with their ability to do the fireplace mount... additionally, all the others that I vetted did not have brick fireplace mounting experience. Within meeting with Adam for five minutes, he clearly demonstrated his ability and experience with brick fireplace installs. All of this work was completed in July 2012, so one year has passed and there hasn't been one issue with the work that was done... and we've used both fireplaces. I highly recommend Adam and his company. read more

I moved into an apartment where a previous tenant had run cables to a TV above a fireplace in a way that wasn't up to fire code. Adam laid out a plan to safely run new cables and mount my new TV beautifully. His estimate was spot-on despite not seeing the site in advance and he left me with the ability to modify the setup myself in the future. Enthusiastically recommended! read more

Encore Custom Theater is the BEST!! Adam, (the owner), is incredible to work with! Knowledgeable, patient, and so kind! You can tell he loves what he does and enjoys his customers. Adam is highly recommended. Prompt, knowledgable and budget conscious. Plus, he has the patience to explain how AV works.

Right after the Seahawks game vs. the 49'ers started, I inadvertently nudged the receiver on our entertainment system and the video went dead. After about 20 minutes, we aborted the mission and headed out to some friends to watch the game. Adam had previously (and very professionally and in a cost-effective way) set up a universal remote for us, so I called him at 8 PM one night and left a message. Within 10 minutes he called me back, and it took him another 5 minutes to diagnose and fix the problem. Kudos to Adam for his responsiveness and professionalism. If we ever have a problem again we know who to call. I highly recommend Adam and Encore Custom Theater! read more

I hired Encore Custom Theater to install a new TV in my bedroom and I could not be more pleased or impressed by the end result or the high quality customer service. Adam did a spectacular job and was so gracious and professional from start to finish. He clearly is highly skilled and qualified as an installer. Not only did he do an amazing job on the installation, he cleaned up every inch of his work space and left the house looking better than when he arrived. I would highly and without reservation recommend Encore Custom Theater. You can't go wrong. read more

Adam Carbary (Owner) was great to work with. In his initial visit, to give us an estimate, he clearly explained what he would need to do as far as running the necessary wires through my fireplace in order to hook up a flat screen TV. At the time, I had not purchased a TV, wall mount, or Blu-ray player. As a former sales manager in the retail stereo industry, Adam was very informative in terms of the kinds of TVs, wall mounts and Blu-ray players he would recommend. I had done some research prior to his visit and his recommendations were almost exactly aligned with the kind of equipment I wanted to purchase, so that was reassuring. He definitely knew his stuff. After I ordered the equipment, I arranged for Adam to do the entire installation. He and his assistant did a great job and I am very happy with the results. Adam arrived on time, eagerly went to work, did a very neat installation, and thoroughly cleaned up after he was done. I had priced out similar services at some of the more well-known retailers. Some were in the same ballpark, some were quite a bit higher, but none gave me the confidence that they would do the work properly and within budget. Adam's final charge was actually lower than his initial quote because he finished sooner than he expected. I appreciated this gesture. Not sure that I would have received the same consideration from one of the big retailers, but it is one of the reasons why I like to support small businesses. In my experience, they try just a little bit harder to make sure that the customer is happy with the end result. read more
