Great price and service! Picked up the 30 mbps service and it's been relatively flawless (compared to Comcast). There's been a few disconnects (lasting 10-20 minutes), but it wasn't really a problem. Overall, I would definitely recommend their service. Pros: - Fast and reliable internet connection (even at 30 mbps) - Customer service is awesome and actually calls you back - Inexpensive - Quick and easy setup. Very little hassle at all. Cascade was bought out over a year ago by Wave. Since then I've had a few outages at night. Unfortunately, support is onoy open during daytimes house with what they call "on call service after hours." I don't know what that means, but no one responds after 5pm on some days. If you leave a message after hours they don't return the call. I called the other evening and the line was forward to a number in area code 610 that would not take messages. We were told how great it would nbe to be sold to WAVE because of their greater resources. One would think that after a year they would at least have Wave respond to support. Another interesting thing. We had to enter all our account information from Cascade Link's invoices into the new system. Why do I need to transfer my account? Service is generally good, but if there is a problem, there is no one to respond outside of business hours. That is just not acceptable for an internet business! read more

The sole reason I transferred over was for stable internet speeds as fiber optic is typically less noisy than CoAxial providers. The speed is great and was way faster and more consistent than Comcast. BUT all of that is negated by occasional shutdowns of internet where you can't even call customer support! Happened today and I'm sad to see this is a frequent occasion. Of all days, it happens when I'm working from home. Now I got to make up the hours on the weekend...awesome. In Cap Hill, if you want to pay $10/month less for reliable internet, go with Comcast. I had them last month, thought I'd try out CascadeLink for it's marginally faster connection, but will surely be returning to Comcast. When I got their service last year, I loved them, speed was great. I am paying extra for a high speed ( $79 up to a gigabit). Couple of months ago the internet speed dropped, you know when your 4g Mifi gets you faster online then your " 1 gigabit" internet. Called them several times, after I did a speed test ( speed test did not over the wifi, but directly). Was promised that a technician will call me to set up a visit. Still no one called. But I got an advise email " Can you please plug your laptop directly into the wall jack to see if you are getting higher speeds? If you're attempting to stream over wireless, I would highly recommend switching over to a wired connection wherever possible. I would guess that you're experiencing wireless interference between your device and the router. This is a common issue with almost all wireless routers. At night with lots of wireless devices in a dense wireless environment such as an apartment building, you're likely to see degraded speeds over wireless. As others have said, when the service is working, it is great. However, there are outages and near zero support when you lose Internet service. Having been a home customer for several years now, I have repeatedly asked them to set up a simple "Service Status" page to show known outages and resolution plan. Ignored consistently. They prefer to get overwhelmed with dozens or hundreds of redundant service requests - and simply not answer them. As I write this, I have no Internet service and am using the T-Mobile hotspot on my phone. I live in the downtown core - where power and utilities fail last because all cabling is underground. Yet, there was a brief windstorm two days ago and Cascadelink is yet to recover from it. I see that Comcast never went down. As much as I dislike Comcast, I'd say if you have a business you better pick Comcast over Cascadelink as their support is clearly unacceptable for any mission critical use. The company seems to have gone through a lot lately. CascadeLink, CondoInternet and Wave are now the same thing. Over the last year, they've upgraded their internet infrastructure in my condo which is good. It seems to no longer interrupt during bad weather and speeds are up. Though they still have some issues like no battery backup on their equipment which is really stupid given that it's 2019. However, their customer service is absolutely horrendous. Seems they've inherited Wave's customer service skills, aka they don't give a crap. Outages will take anywhere from 24 hours to 2 weeks to get resolved. The people that answer the phones are completely useless: all they will do is submit a ticket which you can do online and "can't" give you any updates for outage situations. read more

Buyer beware. While Cascadelink does offer a better overall experience than any of the cable providers, they recently (as of June 2016) have vastly under delivered on their promise of consistent 1GB internet speeds. My wife and I opened an account with Cascadelink back in 2014 when they hosted an event at our new downtown apartment building. The event was fun and convinced us to switch from the rival ISP Condo Internet (now Wave G I think) who was also offering a 1GB line to the building. We never had any issues with speed, but I won a growler at the party so I switched. Everything was great until June of this year when I started noticing drops in internet, degraded speeds, and general lackluster responses from the support desk. I work from home full time so consistent ISP service is something I don't want to compromise. I have had one service ticket open for over 45 days (as well as a few others prior) where the most detail I have received is that they have 'identified issues with the connections' to my building- I could have told them that. Reading through some of the other reviews I have noticed 'Dave' responding to certain reviews. If Cascadelink is in fact going through some growing pains then they should be proactively engaging their customers to keep us in the loop. Go ahead Dave- read through my 26 back and forth responses on the open ticket and tell me why its been over 3 weeks since I got an update that the 'field team' was 'working on it'. TL;DR- Dont buy the marketing pitch that Cascadelink offers better internet than the cable companies. Inconsistent service and permanent degradation in speeds to my building have pushed me to the point of cancellation. While support has provided 2 credits (I do appreciate the willingness to compensate) to the account, I have not been getting what I was lead to believe I was paying for since June 2016. If you are only looking to 'cut the cord' and arent involved enough to care about 180mbps down speeds while you pay for 1GB, then you wont have an issue with Cascadelink. read more

I got excited reading reviews here of Cascadelink, but then I called and found that they do not even offer service to single-family homes anywhere in the Seattle area. It's only for businesses and certain apartment buildings or condos so this will do me no good. I'm sad! So while the customer service may be good, the speed fast and dependable etc. I thought I should post this here so that other yelp users reading reviews could know that if you are in your own home this is not available to you -- at least not yet. I have had Cascadelink since February. The speed runs about 10mbps with an advertised speed of 30mbps. I submitted a requested to have it fixed. It's now April, still no change in service and poor communication. I have to emailed them repeatedly to get an update. The last one I waited 3 weeks without hearing a word from them. Every time I email they say there still working on it. I have two other Internet providers in my building maybe I should check them out? 8 months later. Cascadelink is wonderful. I used Comcast tv/internet for years and was overcharged and received horrible technical and customer service. At one point they even brought me to tears so I made a very good decision to cancel their service and switch to local Casecadelink for internet. Cascaselink is affordable, reliable, super easy to set up and has great customer service. My internet has not dropped once and the speed has been quick every time I use it. I spent many frustrating hours in the past trying to figure out how to set up a router on my own. Casecadelink delivered a preconfigured router to my door so literally all I had to do was plug it in! The few times I had questions with registering, etc., Casecadelink was very responsive and professional. Instead of wasting a ton of money on Comcast for unreliable service, internet, and to watch the 2 chanels I liked, I now only use Casecade link for internet and use Apple TV and Netflix for TV. I work at a technology company, so our internet service is a necessity. We're located on the northwest shore of Lake Union and have used Cascadelink's business service since July 2015. Until about March of 2016 our internet service was fast, and outages were very very rare. I never had to think about our internet, which is the way it should be. Recently, outages, as well as general slow downs, have been happening 2-6 times per week--and that's only from Monday to Friday! I don't have the patience nor perseverance to call every time the internet goes out, and usually it is back up within 10-15 minutes, but that turns out to be very long time when everything you're doing requires an internet connection. One bright spot is their customer service. The team they have in place is responsive, and you can always get someone on the phone quickly. Unfortunately, all they can do is acknowledge a black/brown out, and "assure" you that it will be resolved as quickly as possible. Overall, the consistency of cascadelink's service has gotten bad enough that I think we're going to have to switch to a different provider. read more

No complaints here. Installation was super easy, the internet was dependable and fast, with very few issues with the connection dropping. Earlier last year when I first signed up, they had a couple of outages in the middle of the night. I e-mailed them, and they tracked it down, let me know what had happened, and I never saw the issue again. Also, interestingly, the way the internet was wired in my building, I actually didn't even need the router that I got from them when I signed up with them. I was able to plug my old router directly into the wall network plug and it just worked (your mileage may vary, depending on how your building is wired, etc). I'm moving and have to cancel, I was able to terminate the account just by sending them a quick e-mail. No hassle, no run around. Had a serious breakup with Comcast (they're the worst) and Casecadelink was offered in my condo building in Seattle so gave it a try. (Century Link also advertised "fast" internet, but it was a lie... Century Link is super-slow in Seattle). I was blown away by the good service, quick install, flexibility and honesty of the installer. I was blown away by the speed!! The download speed is super fast, as advertised. The biggest thing that shocked me was the upload speed. I host some servers where I store media on my home network storage devices and have NO PROBLEM streaming to remote computers or transferring files at ultra speeds. I can easily upload at over 2MB/s consistently at any time of day. That's megabytes, not megabits. That's mega awesome and faster than many ISP download speeds! We moved into a Cascade Linked served building two weeks ago and I can't say enough good about Cascadelink. They were very flexible scheduling service, initially after setup there was a technical issue but they quickly resolved it. They did a clean job connecting everything and the Internet connectivity has been nothing but great. Service is personal, very quick, and friendly. I really like working with them. As a side note, we're on the $39.99/30Mbps plan and Speakeasy tests typically come in well over 30Mbps. There are times that I've seen below 30 on the Seattle Speakeasy test, but LA Speakeasy test was coming in at 67Mbps so I believe the slowdown was elsewhere. Connectivity into my condo is via CAT5E ethernet cable. As mentioned by Kris L.'s review, get a decent Wireless-N router to take advantage of the line speed. read more

The best internet provider is one that you forget exists. Contrary to my experience with the previously-only-other-option in my building, my experience with Cascadelink was nothing short of perfect. They were able to come get me set up on the same day I contacted them with no charge. The bill was always EXACTLY what I signed up for; never an unexpected cost. My connection speeds were never slow or broken. I never had to call to complain or even think about my Internet - it just always worked. It broke my heart when I realized that by moving into a house I would not be able to take my new favorite internet provider with me. New to Cascadelink as of 2 days ago in my new Capitol Hill apartment. I decided to "cut the cord" and go Internet only, and when I heard Cascade was available - it was a no-brainer. On my move-in day, I called them up at 9:15am, and by 9:25am my service was turned on. Pretty damn remarkable. Right now I'm getting 100/100 as they do a "ramp-up" period first for all Gigabit customers for a few days before turning up the throttle. But let's talk about latency! Or, should I say, lack of? Pinging 4ms out to Facebook, and i've never seen Netflix ramp up to HD so fast. Yes, I'm still in the honeymoon period - but this is definitely a marriage I hope lasts awhile! read more

Cascadelink had such wonderful reviews on Yelp, that I thought signing up for them over (the Devil) Comcast was a no brainer. I work from home and rely on strong internet for webinars and meetings on a daily basis. In the last two years I've had Cascadelink in the Kirkland area, their has been down time or CRAWLING service at least once a week. (I am currently on hold with them for the third time in two weeks as we speak.) They are VERY quick to respond to outages and downtime...but there is just too much of it. We will be finding a different option VERY soon. read more

They used to be good until Wave bought them. Cascadelink now has many outages and doesn't provide after hours or weekend support. So if your power goes out in your building on Friday you have to wait until Monday for them to reset their equipment. They also don't have access to buildings that house their equipment that feed internet to multiple buildings after hours, so they can't do anything unless leasing offices are open. It's also very rare to see speeds above 150mbps even when plugged into Ethernet and paying for 1gb. When you call they can only open a new ticket for you and not provide any status updates, so you basically have to wait until a technician calls you, sometimes 72 hours after you create a ticket. As awful as it sounds going with Comcast, at least they have 24/7 service. Recommend having a whole building just go with that so at least there's service available. read more

These guys are great. Very few service interruptions over the years, and they are quickly resolved by intelligent techs when they exist. For the geeks: Speed is excellent and latency is as good as it gets (~30ms to Google since you're never more than a few hops from the SIX). I've never maxed out my gigabit link, but I've gotten well over 100Mbps. I'm pretty sure I just can't get enough things downloading from fast enough mirrors to do it, but I encourage you to try. read more

I had their gigabit package installed while I was at work. Their tech came and did everything. However, when I got home, nothing was working. I called their tech support and within 30 minutes one of their network engineers was on the phone with me. He temporarily moved me down to the lower package while he worked with the carrier to request more IP's for the gigabit level service. Within 10 minutes had a call back and was up to the full gigabit speed... I've been super happy with it so far as I've been averaging right around 920mbps up and down... Simply amazing!!! I just hope you guys continue expanding in the Seattle area, as if I ever move closer to downtown, I'm only going to consider places that you service! read more

Obviously I'm not the first to say how much I love Cascadelink, but I have had my service for nearly a year now since they built infrastructure into my building, Queen Anne High School. They were the monopoly that I HAD to use in my building and ever since we had word that a new Internet provider MIGHT come into the building, I began emailing Cascadelink nonstop about the progress to ensure Cascadelink would come into QAHSC. When they did, we signed up immediately for their $60 per month 100 mbps and I LOVE ITTTTT. I truly couldn't ask for a better connection. I never imagined that I would care enough about an ISP to review it. I hate ISP's and generally feel that they are anti-consumer and horrible to deal with. This company is different. I moved into a new building and wanted to sign up for high speed internet as quickly as possible (like anybody else). I was shocked that the person I talked to on the phone to set it up actually personally drove to my apartment to drop off my router after her work day was finished. Fantastic internet service provider. Truly as good as it gets. Their customer support is top notch, prices are good, speeds are blazing fast, and policies are great as well. For example: I once contacted support about running a small home server on my network, and I wanted to open port 80. I was told they do not block ANY ports at all (blocking ports 80 and 443 is common practice among most ISPs) and to have at it! Awesome. The only complaint I have is that every once in a blue moon their default DNS servers become very slow or go down, which makes browsing the web difficult. I just simply switched to a different free DNS provider (try namebench from Google to find the best one for you) and it solved the problem for me. read more

Set up was as quick as a phone call. Cancelation when I moved out of the building was again, as quick as a phone call. No sales speeches or other shenanigans. Service was good. Not always at full speed (30MB) but very good and never seemed to lose connection. Now that I am moving out of an apartment and into a house I will be very sad to leave them. Moved to Seattle at the end of 2013. Based on great Yelp's reviews, I decided to go with Cascadelink. Compare to AT$T U-verse's horrifying service previously I had at Austin, this was a total life changer. Set-up was a breeze. One phone call to them while I was still at Austin, and arrived Seattle with hi-speed internet ready to go. Monthly bill is exactly as advertised. No hidden fee. Personally I have never experienced dropped speed or dropped connection throughout the whole year using their service. Unfortunately, I have to move to a new building which doesn't have their service. Cancellation is also easy. One phone call, and it's done. The building I live now only has Comcast or CenturyLink internet. I have to go with either one of them. My unpleasant nightmare dealing with AT$T has since recurred. Incorrect high bill plus hidden fee, dropped connection, .... all that. I miss Cascadelink so much. Requested to have my building added to their list. God knows how long it'd take. Really disappointed with the customer service I received here in SLU. I anticipated an easy five star review after dealing with Time Warner in NY, but even Time Warner will send a technician to my place to troubleshoot. I'm fairly tech savvy, but why bother having tech support if it's a $60 gamble that you're the party who's wrong when I'm paying a monthly fee that assumes you know what you're doing? It's a losing bet to me, and after paying for the gigabit and the router, no thanks. Now I have questions about my setup - is it working optimally? Have I set up my router correctly? I did this all from out of town and I'm a bit flustered - and I can't ask anyone. Phone customer service was effectively reading from a script and couldn't answer my questions. Getting a body here to take a look is likely sixty dollars unless the "problem is on their end" on top of all other additional costs one incurs when moving. Whatever; I'll try and figure it out on my own. Two things I did figure out: - It looks like the previous owner left their router. At least I think that's what it is. I'd ask, but the guy on the phone was clueless and it's not a $60 question. It does, at least, answer why the guy on the phone saw me perfectly online while I couldn't connect. - My password was entered wrong. It's supposed to be your phone number but they swapped a bunch of numbers around. So, when I finally did troubleshoot (I think?) the router issue, I had to manually login to my IP page and find that gem out in order to reset the password. Word of advice to Cascade Link: it's possible you have a great product. I'm not sure because my computer hasn't arrived for me to do a speedtest and see if I've sufficiently resolved this issue on my own. Please bear in mind that you're working with a lot of people who are moving in and out of a bustling city and need more customer support than a scripted (intern?) guy on the phone. Tech supports exist to help customers with issues they don't understand and making them pay $60 for being wrong undermines the entire point of providing tech support in the first place. Another update: Cascadelink in Kirkland is incredibly unreliable and their techs are unable to address the issues. I provided traceroutes dozens of times showing that their service was failing one hop past my modem or a couple of hops past it, and it was hard to get a hold of anyone who could provide a response other than "did you try turning your router off and on again?". I finally got techs out to my place a couple of times who were unable to fix anything. They replaced the modem, they replaced some equipment in the data closet in our condo building, and they said to hope for the best but admitted they really didn't know what the problem was. Remained unreliable and terrible. Canceled my service and switched to Comcast/Xfinity, who has since become both cheaper and faster in my building, and has had zero outages since I switched. read more
