I am writing this review about my experience with computer repair at COMPUTER SERVICE NW, 402 Maple Ave, Snohomish, WA 98290. My 6-year-old ASUS laptop was badly in need of a tune up. It was running loudly, not saving documents correctly, and kept shutting down unexpectedly. Both Shawn and Eric helped me -- really nice people -- and I had my laptop back in just a few days. Don't waste your time! Make sure you use a credit card so you can cancel the cost when they lie, don't fix the problem, they are fraudsters and liars! I took a cell phone in recently, lt needed a Master Reset due to a virus. They are bullshit artists and charge $132 for 40 minutes, and did nothing! My Phone Carrier helped me fix it over the phone for free! Very arrogant guy thought he was going to pull it off! The owner didn't do anything to fix it. Go elsewhere, these guys are con Artists! They quoted me a price for two computers. One for my wife and one for me. Said the labor to transfer data and set up both new machines would be about $300 (not $300 each). I took my wife's machine in on Wednesday they said it would be ready Friday. Was not ready until a week later and when I went to pick it up, I had to wait several hours for it to be finished. Turned out they didn't do a very good job of transferring and setting up my wife's computer and charged me over $400.00 just for hers. Not including the cost of the computer which isn't even compatible for windows 11. I knew I was getting a refurbished computer, but didn't even enter my mind that they would sell me one that wasn't capable of running the newer version of windows. To top everything off, they told me if I have any more issues with the new computer which they caused I would be billed for their time. Poor service, poor quality and terrible value. read more

There is not a lot to say. Valley Techs did a solid job. These guys were able to recover my corrupt CPU. They recovered all the files and programs and put them on my new computer. They even uploaded some of the programs I did not think I need on the new computer (MS Office Suite). The staff was extremely friendly. They kept me up to date with the repair. Been using VT for a looooong time. In the beginning, like with most companies with new clients, they were eager to please. Not so today. It's like pulling hens teeth to even get a call back regarding the status of my computer that's been in in their shop for coming up on over a week. I brought in an old computer with broken screen. He said it would cost $100 plus dollars to fix. Bill was $367.08. When I complained about the charge he spun a fantastic yarn that he said something different. Lesson learned. Always get a written estimate from persons like this. This is my second time around with this fine firm. The first was a bad virus and fixed in no time. This time it was a liquid spill (I'm not telling) which killed my old machine. They managed to bring it back to life long enough to retrieve my data (miracle) and they helped me obtain a new computer, transferred all my data and did the set up for me. They did pick up the machine both time I used them and then returned it to me. This is a marvelous service. These are fair, helpful and very smart people and I am so glad to know they are here for the next time. read more

Hello, I strongly recommend against using this repair service. They have a small shop that is filthy, bordering on unsanitary conditions. Once they have your contact number, they make unsolicited harassing calls to you asking if you need their services. If you want to keep your number private, I would recommend not using their services nor calling them. I would rely on bigger name retailers and shops to repair your technology equipment. read more

Today, David came to our home, removed some spyware from a computer, and gave it a much needed tune-up. He was friendly, professional, and answered all our questions. Very unprofessional people. After spending several hundred dollars, I called to inform them that my computer problem wasn't actually resolved and got nothing but attitude in response. There are so many decent computer repair places out there - do yourself a favor and bypass these guys. read more

I now see my problem was caused by installing Norton Internet Security. That is what gave me the blue screen of death. I was wrong to completely blame Valley Techs. There was nothing wrong with the hardware, which is what they said. I was too harsh on them. They are actually quite good. read more

Their service is SLOW. It has been nearly three weeks since I took my laptop in, and I still don't have it back. There was a queue when I took it in, so I didn't expect a call right away. I got one detailing the problems with my laptop three days after I took it in - which is an acceptable timeframe - and they assured me that they would order replacement parts. Then I heard nothing from them for a week, only to receive a call asking for permission (and payment) to order the replacement parts that they had assured me they would order the last time I got off the phone with them. Another week passes in which I hear nothing; I have to call them to get a status update. Oh yes, my computer is fixed. And for the price, it might have been cheaper to simply buy a new computer. read more

I don't normally write reviews but these guys were amazing. I had a virus on my computer that managed to corrupt several files and break both the windows update and battery supply drivers. Needless to say I was completely freaking out about losing all my information or having to buy a new computer. Valley Techs came to the rescue. I took the computer to then and they not only fixed it but accepted my slightly obsessive and high maintenance questions about the process and computer viruses in general. Nick (the tech I worked with) was great about trying to keep the price as low as possible given that I am a student without a lot of excess money to spend. Also they were extremely quick. I took my computer in on Monday and got it back good as new on Wednesday which was amazing given everything that had to be done. Finally since my mom was the one that recommended them to me she got a thirty dollar gift certificate for future services and I got a personal thank you note! I would recommend Valley Techs to anyone who asks and I definitely know where I am going in future should another computer problem arise. read more
