Have worked with Jon's PC for several years. First thru a company worked for and than my own computers. Was satisfied until the last interaction. Computer crashed, gave to John to work on , whiched cost me $400 plus. Got it back and it worked for about two weeks and crashed again, Sent it back and was told nothing could be done to fix it and it was something I did. My phone calls, texts, voicemails went unanswered. After trying to contact JPC several times resorted calling another repair service. they came to my site and had it up and running within an hour, restored all my files. Thank them for that! When John had my computer he installed Windows 11 without permission which may be causing issues with copier, still workng on that. I recently built a pc and went in to solve a problem of it turning off by itself. I had asked that he check the wiring and make sure everything was how i was supposed to be. I was hoping to find a solution but instead was met with a solution of needing completely scrap everything and buy all new parts. The parts he suggested were the ones he conveniently had himself or was sponsored by. Offered no actual help or solution and instead try to sell me something to his best interest. He never once even tried to look at what was wrong with the computer and after taking it back and saying I would go some place else, I was still charged. He didn't even look at the computer. Solution was a. bad connection and could have been solved if he had just looked at the wiring like I had asked. Overall they didn't help and were honestly quite rude. I couldn't find the location due to google maps not taking me to the right place and I was told it was "very obvious". When I went to take back the computer I was ignored and talked down to for trying to get my computer and leave. read more

I was told the hard drive is the reason for the laptop not working and was talked into getting a SSD drive when I dropped it off. I indicated that I need it back rather sooner than later and was told that I would get a call when ready for pick-up. Never received a call. When I picked it up, John had only transferred part of my documents. I had to spent 90 minutes waiting around for the rest of the documents to be copied. Interestingly enough John was able to access my documents on the old hard drive without any problems, although allegedly it was so damaged! At home I noticed that MS Word was not on the laptop anymore. I called and talked to Diana, she asked John what he can do about it and I was told because of hurricane Ian (in Florida!!) he can't do anything right now. Last time I checked MS was In Redmond, WA. What has that to do with Ian in Florida? I was told I get a call back regarding that issue. Never received a call. I also noticed that all my bookmarks were not copied and was told that John was not able to transfer them because the hard drive was sooo damaged. But he had no problems accessing the hard drive earlier? John told me he repasted the processor because the thermal paste was dried out. I find that hard to believe because I had cleaned the fan and repasted the processor 8 months earlier and was lied to earlier anyway. I went to another computer repair shop. The technician had no problems to copy my bookmarks, he commented "the hard drive is old but healthy and most likely the OS was the problem". In addition, the volume buttons didn't work, the USB ports on the left side did not work after John's repair, MS activation was not done and were all then fixed by said technician. First time I had JPComputers work on my laptop and this was the last time, too. Overall, an extremely disappointing experience, just another case of overpromise and underdeliver. Called by PleaseFixIt people referred me. So I talked to dude just to get a general idea on how long he'd need my PC for. (I work from home so I use this PC.) He kept hammering me to tell him what was wrong, kept interrupting me when I was just trying to give him a background. That shit was annoying. I would highly recommend. I brought my Mac in that wasn't charging and they took the time to diagnosis the issue and ordered a part that was causing the problem and expedited shipping as I was on a time line. Sad news the Mac couldn't be fixed as I live in a high humidity salt air environment, The took the time to educate me on how to maintain my new Mac in this environment, will be sure to use them to maintain my new Mac, and no charge. John PC Configurations helped us by providing us with the correct power cord we needed for a laptop, which I had forgotten at home. We are on a trip, so he even tried to find a business closer to us. He also shared extra information to keep the laptop performing longer. He plugged it all together to check all would work fine. He works out of his home. read more

They do good work and my experience has always been that true to their tag line, my computers were fixed right the first time. The owner can be a bit condescending and returning calls telephone inquiries is definitely not his strong suit. Prices are reasonable *unless* he apparently doesn't want to or can't do the work then he highballs you. That led me to find other sources. Since I switched to Linux I don't have as many computer problems that need a tech. read more

I took my laptop in for their free diagnostic. They called me 3 hours later and gave me a firm quote and fixed my issues. I highly recommend this shop and I have found a new computer repair place for all my computer needs in the future.
