Update on the iPad Pro Bad Apple failed to repair after replacing the screen leaving dead spots. The front camera looks as if it has 1/4" of Vaseline on it. Very fuzzy. So all in all, I gave them a very nice iPad with a bad port and now I have a working port but a bad camera and a bad screen. read more

I had a battery replaced for a 2017 MacBook Pro by BadApple. When I picked it up I noticed it didn't get cleaned as part of the service quoted. The new battery, fully charged, lasts less than 3 hours. I contacted Bad Apple and was told by Leo that he had ordered a new battery and when he received it he would schedule for an appointment. I haven't heard from him all though I had tried to reach out several times since. I wouldn't know if the battery is a defect or a knock-off because he never made any offer to solve or find out where the problem is. He got the money, $282.62, and that was that. Unprofessional. The phone store in Anacortes WA recommended I take my Iphone 6 To Bad Apple in Mt Vernon because they do not replace batteries. So, I did. The area is a warren of small businesses, but the shop is easy to find. You just drive around to the back of the Mailbox place at 1500 E College Way. I talked with Leo on the phone and met with Matthew at the store. While I ran a few a errands, he cleaned the power cord port which was really dirty and one reason why I had had problems charging the phone. He put in a new battery and a skin over the glass. The phone looks like new and charged up immediately. The price was more than fair. I asked about him about working on my husband's Toshiba Satellite and what their bench fee is. They have no bench fee, just open it up, figure out what is wrong and then will explain it and, if you are good with what they propose, fix it. It is a small shop so you may have to leave it, but Wow! I feel like I have struck gold. read more

My Pixel-4 battery swelled up and popped off the back of the phone. I contacted a repair shop on Meridian in Bellingham. They quoted $130 plus tax. I contacted Leo at BadApple and he quoted $80 + 6.96 tax, which included shipping in the battery for this older phone. I dropped off the phone and had it back 2 days later in wonderful shape. I had a great experience with Bad Apple. I was in Bellingham and dropped my Galaxy cellphone and the glass screen shattered. My husband accidentally dropped his phone when getting out of the car. The screen had a small line, but enough that it would not turn on. I brought in my 2015 Macbook Pro to replace its battery. Leo assured me that it would take only a day or so. He installed 2 batteries and with both all he got was a black screen. So now instead of a working computer with an old battery, all of a sudden I had no computer. Leo's explanation was that there was a pre-existing problem with the laptop. He told me that with a little bit of testing he would be able to fix the issue. A few days later I called BadApple (since they hadn't called me) and was told Leo had been too busy to work on it. I finally picked up my laptop and took it to another technician in Bellingham who identified the issue and fixed it without a problem after ordering the necessary part.
