Really a one star for Yelp this business is NOT OPEN for walk in service

I have been doing business with Adrian and Pam for 15 years now, and I am still a happy customer! All of my computers and laptops have come from their shop. What I appreciate about them is that they truly care about their customers, there is a nice personal touch working with them. As their shop and personnel have grown, they have put together a good team that is providing good customer service across the board. i was not impressed with the service I received from Interpreting Technology. I had to bring my Laptop to another shop to finish the job. I had asked the technician at Interpreting Technology if he could restore my files and he said no, and that the files were lost. He was dead wrong, and the other shop not only restored everything, but went out of their way to do what Interpreting Technology should have done in the first place. 5-1-18 UPDATE Per Adrain request, on 4-4-18 I sent him a personal and confidential letter outlining my concerns and requested him to review my issues. To date I have not heard anything. ===================================================== USER BEWARE....I took my Mac in to recover lost PDF files, paid my bill and expected everything was ok. My Mac developed additional issues that were not on my Mac prior to my visit. I returned my Mac with my concerns, I picked it up a few days later and was not charged for anything, so I assumed everything was good. I still had issues with the Mac, so I called for phone support. I was never informed that I would be charged for a phone consultation as the issues developed since they had been working with my Mac. A few months later I received a outstanding statement for charges unpaid. Charges were for the 2nd drop off and the phone consult. When questioned about the services they indicated they initially sent the statements via email.....which I never got. When questioned why I was not told of the charges when I pick up my Mac and the phone consult? They indicated they were just changing bookkeeping policies and did remove the charge for the 2nd visit but the phone consult was still outstanding. I explained that I was never informed of the phone consult charges. Their response was that all phone consultations were recorded. I asked for a copy of the recording. They then explained that they only keep there recordings for 90 days......but wouldn't you know it the 90 days had passed, so I could not get proof that I agreed to the charges. So in conclusion, I know that I was never told during the phone consult how much it was per hour. I was on the phone with them for over 2 hours, I never would have spent that much time if I knew that it was going to cost me over $100+ per hour. I am not a business, and maybe use my computer 3x a month. I understand they are in business to make money, but the way I was treated was down right unprofessional. A final note...I did try to negotiate the outstanding balance but they were not interested. I paid the charges in full ONLY because I am trying to buy a home and did not want a strike on my credit report. read more

Drove up expecting to drop off my parents computers to get the hard drive copied to a usb and the sign said "no residential service call for appt " so I called the # and waited patiently in the parking lot for a human to answer my call and when the guy came and unlocked the door (that I assumed was still covid related!) he asked if I was from some children's services and I said no I just want my parents computers harddrive transferred to my usb stick and he said "we do not do that anymore! We do not do residential service anymore, did you not read the sign?!" I said yes I did read the sign and assumed it was still Covid related cuz I had just done the same service 6 months ago with my own hard drive. He was quite rude! Maybe your sign should say "only business accounts served at this location" so us residential customers are not confused by your sign that appears to be in the asinine 2020 covid restriction mode!! read more

The owners took time today to make sure I had the best antivirus software for both my business laptop and my kids' computers. I literally only spent $39 today and they treated me as if I was spending $1000! I will always use Interpreting Technology for both purchasing and servicing my computers. Thank you! read more
