I'm a bit surprised by the current reviews. My experience was excellent. After my hard drive crashed (physical failure) I took my system to Info Tech in Fed. Way. They installed two new hard drives and were unable to recover the data from my old drive. They referred me to E-man. Didn't want to make the drive to Snohomish and looked all over the S. end. No one was willing to attempt the data recovery. I was referred to a place in Wisconsin. Wasn't going to gamble, so I drove to Snohomish. I had been told by other shops that recover would be expensive but the data was priceless. Emanuel was upfront, professional and responsive to my needs. I dropped my HD off on a Saturday and received a call on Tuesday with the "great news" that all of my data had been recovered. Everything had been installed on a new HD and was given to me as a loaner, so I could reinstall. I decided to purchase the new external HD he had given me and have a third HD for additional back up. I'm not a "power user" and was having some trouble getting everything back to where I wanted it. I spoke with John, who went above and beyond to help me over the phone, he did a remote in on my system and re-established all of my files in the manner I wanted. He was patient, professional and watching remotely, worked at lightning speed. I have and will recommend E-man to everyone I know. I am a teacher, and my hard drive failed. I assumed my school district was backing up our files, but--well as they say, never assume. Three years of developing and modifying lessons, collecting useful information and just organizing my teaching were suddenly gone. My district tech made a valiant attempt to recover the data, but to no avail. Not knowing what else to do, I asked the tech for my hard drive and said I would see if I could find someone who could get to the data. The tech gave me my drive with a pamphlet for E-man Data Recovery and said he heard they might be able to help. E-man did help. The drive needed serious work, but he recovered the data and he was super fair on the price. I am pretty computer savvy and our tech is really very good at what he does, but my drive was toast and it was no simple task to get the data back and in a form that was readily accessible. Great service and quick turn around. I took my MacBook Pro in after I dropped it and it stopped working. They diagnosed it while I waited, helped me with paperwork for my insurance claim, and then did the repair immediately. They were even able to restore the data from the damaged drive onto the new replacement drive which the Apple Store said was not possible without an expensive data retrieval service. At first I was told the repair would take 3 days to complete, but then, when I explained that it was my main computer that I needed for work (I'm a freelancer and can't work without it) they figured out a way to fit me in and did the repair right then and there. Took about 5 hours total, but the majority of that time was restoring the data on the new drive. Very happy with the service! read more

..After talking to local computer shops, Dell, Microsoft, Carbonite (who had backed up my data but did not preserve the encryption key - something users should concern themselves with if they are using any on-line back-up service), and even a data encryption company here in the Bay Area, E-man's team were the only ones who told me exactly what the problem was, how complicated it could be, and what it might cost. They did this in a way I could understand. And then his team kept working at it until they come up with a solution. And even when it got exceedingly complicated, they kept their original estimate on cost. Good help with computer problems is difficult to find. Eman saved me untold months of work and money that is much better spent elsewhere in difficult times.... read more

I had burnt up my laptop, and this place was highly recommended by a guy at the hair salon. They recovered all the data within 15 minutes of my walking in, then immediately spent half an hour setting up a new laptop I'd bought. I later creamed my DVD drive. They spent time checking if they already had a replacement, then finding a cheap replacement online, then charged me 10 minutes labor. I wanted to host a bunch of web sites with a lot of data, and they showed me how to host my own with a Linux machine and static IP... Very friendly, casual. A Snohomish gem. read more

My 20 year-old and I were planning to build a computer for the first time, but I was hesitant to lay out the money for parts without getting some outside advise. In late July, this summer, I had a devastating office fire that ruined all my office equipment and most of my business records. One week before the fire, I had E-man Data Recovery in Snohomish download and backup all my computer files, since my computer had been operating slowly and i was worried about losing these files. I've heard so many good things about E-man data recovery that I bravely took my laptop there for a hard drive replacement. Very impressive! First they tried valiantly to recover the data from my dying hard drive and then installed the new hard drive and installed the software - including all my lost data - all for the low price . And they did this in just two days! so i had written a review before but removed it because someone asked me to. i have had time to cool down now and will write it again. Going into Eman I was spoken to in a manner i did not care for. i was quoted a price FAR higher than the other computer guys in snohomish and told it would take 3-5 days. Upon hearing this, i took my computer from Eman and left. i went to the Tech Mob and they fixed me up for much cheaper and got it done in one day. i will not be returning to Eman. read more

I have never set foot in this store but they've earned my loyalty anyway. i called with what i thought might be a hopeless request, they asked me to try something incredibly simple myself before bringing it in, and tada! problem solved. i now have a functional computer again. and i didn't even have to make the trip or pay the diagnostic fee. anything involving computer repair is usually costly and a headache but their helpfulness spared me both pitfalls. read more
