I worked with Paul from Rolling Bay Electric to have him hook up a hot tub on my back patio. I…read morecontacted him 3 months before the actual install to make sure I had an Electrician on board. The project entailed installing a 240V circuit on our panel and running wire 40ft along the side of the house. I was having my patio extended by 6 feet in order to fit the tub. He came out to the house and looked over the site and we discussed the scope of the project. He was very helpful in suggesting how to position the hot tub, how he wanted a ditch dug to run conduit. What type of conduit to buy, and how he would need pictures of the work as it was done for the state inspection. He let us know that he would need a week's notice to get materials together after the hot tub was put in place. As the work progressed I would call Paul to update him send him photos of the work and ask him questions to make sure things were on track. It was at this point things went south. Paul started changing his story on how he wanted things set up and what size of conduit he needed installed. I put up with the changes and did extra work and spent the extra money to make sure things would meet his needs. My wife called him to let him know the work was done and the hot tub was ready to be installed. Paul was not happy again with the orientation of the hot tub on the patio, and orientation he earlier agreed would be fine. After I called him to discuss my frustration he quickly told me he could no longer work with me. I'm not someone who writes reviews like this ever, but Paul has left me swinging in the wind after starting a professional relationship with me. I will not be hiring Paul or recommending him for any work to friends.

I can't say enough about Paul at Rolling Bay. When we first moved here on Bainbridge, our house's…read moreelectricity didn't just not work... it wasn't hooked up! We called one place, they told us it would take them 3 WEEKS to come out JUST to check us out. We had no where else to live for that long, so that was not an option. So we found Paul, and he came right out, and started to help us. The whole process took about 3 weeks of ridiculous trial and error, and the whole time he was honest, helpful, professional, and fun. He knew we were moving into a rickety old house with a lot of eccentricities, and he really took care of us. He even gave me his cell phone number to call whenever we felt like something wasn't right. 1 year later when a couple of our outlets stopped working, he was there within the hour I called, done in about 15 minutes, and charged a very reasonable price. All in all: GO WITH PAUL!
