Loved these folks! Don came out and successfully troubleshot a long list of problems we found when we moved into this house a few months back. The we had a problem with a circuit, had no electricity for a night, and they sent out two guys first thing in the morning. They fixed the problem immediately. Bird Electric did some work for me. The owner seems pleasant, the workers were fine. I paid them a lot of $$ to re-wire my building. They did a good job. Silly me, I had issues with some of the lights outside, and I couldn't figure it out. I called them and they sent someone over and found that it was only a light switch that needed to be flipped on. Let me tell you something about Bird Electricians, I had to have all the knob and tube removed and upgrade all the electric in the house. We had three estimates and the Bird salesman took his time in explaining and educating us on removing and re-wiring along with updated an old fuse box making it totally up to code. When he left our house I knew we were going with them. It was a week long process and everyday they showed up on time and ready to go with a game plan letting us know so we weren't wondering. Everyday they left our house livable and clean. These guys busted their asses in a 100 degree attic space along with working with our old plaster and lathe walls and ceilings without damaging any of them. This company does incredible work. The owner is extremely nice and came out to do the bid himself. We had the work done on our business last year. I have had no problems with anything in our new build out. We gutted everything on this comercial building and started from scratch. New everything. Anytime we wanted to change something they were very responsive. We were stuck on a timeframe to finish by a certain date. They had no problem hitting that. I ordered a new range/double oven and the store messed up the delivery date so we picked it up on the 3rd of July. It needed to be hard wired for the 220 outlet and I was very concerned I would not find anyone available to do the job on an afternoon before a major holiday. Bird Electric came to our rescue! Dillon was at our door at 4:00PM and was done in well under an hour just in time for my out of town guests to arrive! Twice this year Matt at Bird Electric responded quickly to an emergency situation at my rental house in Suquamish. The first time the mast and meter was pulled off the house by a fallen branch. Matt was on site early the same morning, assessed the damage without drama and had two men working on the repairs before noon. Awesome! The second time a tree had fallen across the power lines and PSE's transformer fell off the pole sending a power surge down the line that destroyed all of the home's appliances, the GFIC's and many of the LED lights. Again, Matt quickly assessed the situation, reassured my tenant that there was nothing wrong with the home's electrical system, made recommendations to improve and protect, then sent a very competent and professional electrician (Kevin) to make the necessary repairs and improvements. I am so impressed with this company. We had what I was afraid was an emergency and after calling several electric companies and either getting a recording or was told it would be at least two weeks before we could get help, Bird Electric came to the rescue. They were at our house within an hour. The electrician was on his way to another job and took the time to stop and help us. He replaced two burned out outlets in just minutes and was on his way. Everything was so friendly and well done. I will be calling them to make an appointment to come back and replace all of our old outlets and check for other problems. read more

Have had previous experience with Bird Electric and it was always positive. Had an electrical problem in my fuse panel with a very bad smell coming from it, call them up and told them what was going on. They arrived within the hour, stating that the complaint about the bad smell indicated serious issues. Less than an hour later, they replaced to fuse banks, replaced a handful of wire, rearranged the fuses on the panel for better performance, labeled the changes, and were done. Outstanding. Their minimum service charge is very acceptable, they have a ton of expenses to take care of operating a business, taxes of all kinds no doubt costs them thousands a month, upkeep on vehicles, tools, and their place of business, wages and health insurance all demands proper payment for a service call, big or small, they have to have minimum amount to pay for their expenses in order to stay in business. read more

I have no reason to believe that this business doesn't do fine work, but was very disappointed in their responsiveness. I called with our problem powering the generator, indicating my suspicion that it was probably only a circuit breaker that needed replacement. I was pleasantly informed that they were backed up and I would need to wait my turn, and they couldn't estimate how long it would be because they didn't know how involved the jobs in front of me were. After four weeks I called back to make sure I remained on the list, hoping they might have a better idea of how much longer it might be. I was told we were of course on the list, that they would get back to me, and not to call back again. No estimate was given, and I felt I was being reprimanded for calling. With threatening weather eminent, I called 10 days later, left two more messages and they never called back. Got another recommendation, called another electrician (Day Road Electric - 5*!), who got back to me, recognized my issue was likely easy, got out within a week and replaced the circuit breaker within an hour. read more

Friendly enough and to their credit, they did show up on the date they promised. But the bottom line is, they did not resolve our heating problem( No heat in our downstairs) and we have not been able to get them to come back and take care of problem. read more
