I have to agree with all of the other people who dislike Frontier. Every year, my "special pricing " runs out and I have to call five times, threaten to leave, then magically there is a lower price. Each year, the promos triple the speed at a third of the price I'm paying, and it is hard to not be annoyed. Cell companies continue to improve my speed and services, not hassle required, that's probably why I stay with Tmobile, 10 years now. I finally left Frontier this year, because my cellphone speeds are comparable to Frontier and I just bought my kids a LTE tablet for $20/m that can play on our TV. It is a little more complicated, but saves me $80/m and hassle of calling their terrible customer service. Tethering to my phone is a little slower for my laptop, but honestly, I'm just checking FB, Twitter, and Email. If you can avoid Frontier and Comcast do it. They are clinging to life and hopefully a more reliable and straight forward company steps into the space. Perhaps even a company that values customer retention, knowing customer acquisition is much more expensive than keeping existing customers. Stay salty my friends. read more

Frontier gave me extra charges that I did not ask for, and explicitly confirmed on the phone that I did not ask for them. Upon finally 'resolving' it after waiting on hold for an hour, my next bill did not have the issue resolved. Additionally, their website does not work - their chat and call back scheduler simply do not function. Horrible customer service. Incredibly scammy. read more

16 days after promised and I have no service, no modem (they claim to have sent it twice), and no customer support but I did get my first bill. Extremely difficult to contact anyone. Their Chat Line can't find my account, I have phoned 8 times with each a wait over 30 mins and nobody can locate my acount, service, or hardware. Forced to use frontier for dsl service, as no one else provides in our area. Every 2 years our modem/router breaks. It takes months to get new 'working' equipment, hours upon hours on the phone repeating the same issues over and over. 'working' equipment means having to reset the modem several times per night, for 2 years until we start the process over again. The last tech told had the wires are bad that go from our house to frontier. Tried to circumvent by purchasing a third party modem/router - after 2 hours, frontier would not give me the information I needed to set it up. Plugged in the old router and now, mysteriously, the modem will not connect to frontier at all. Here come months of trying to get techs out here with new equipment and a quasi resolution. Retaliation? I think so! read more

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. I got Frontier internet on Wednesday and was happy with it and wanted to check out their Fios TV. Two F@#-ing hours later, around 20 phone calls and I was never able to speak with anyone who knew anything. The voice mail system they have is the worst I have ever seen, and the same goes for their customer service. Whenever someone did not have an answer, they hung up or passed me over to someone else. 9 times out of 10, they could not pull up my account and it took me an hour to cancel. Stay away, this company will drive you nuts. They took a customer (me), who was interested in adding additional service, and turned me into a customer who hates Frontier and canceled. I wish I can give them Minus stars...! Installations took for ever. Weeks...? But worst than that their sakes department has lied to me to sign two years contract and in return they wifi send me 100.00 gift card. Six months later no gift card and when I called and after staying on hold for ever I was told that no such records of such a promise for a card. If only I could give 0 or negative stars... - went to the retail store on a saturday, around 3 pm (supposedly open until 4 pm). Gates were almost all closed, and there was no real way of telling if there was actually a retail store in there - the open gate was entrance only - the exit gate was closed - we ended up calling, the guy on the phone was rambling on about various bundles they had - when telling him that we wanted FiOS 150/150 he gave us a price that was $20 more than advertised online (with zip information) - when we insisted that the online quote was a lot cheaper, he looked it up again and the price was still $5 more - he then started asking all sorts of weird and too personal questions about internet habits ("what kinds of documents are you working with online" etc), insulting netflix and hailing tv as netflix on steroids ... really? - we were forced to have additions included for an extra price that we had no way to opt out - furthermore, we already have all the hardware installed, but they still insisted on a technician coming out after about two weeks to install stuff. When asking about whether it would be possible to activate same day when the hardware was installed before signing a contract, we were told that we hard to put in the order before being able to find out anything about it - after having done that, we called the tech support as instructed and they told us that at fios 150/150 someone would have to come out no matter what. When we asked why the answer as that "with fios 150/150 a technician has to come out in person" (rinse, repeat) This was probably the most frustrating hour or so we ever spent on the phone. Went to a competitor and got faster internet, cheaper monthly rate and activated as we got home from the shop. read more

If I could go zero or negative I would. When it comes to billing and customer service, be prepared for the worst. Returned a router as requested with their UPS label 2 months ago and they continue to charge for it after assuring me the credit would show up. Now they have threatened to cut off my service and refer to collections. Spent an hour on the phone for the third time and and was told a supervisor would call back in a day or two. After pushing they finally put me through to a supervisor, who said she would take care of it. I have heard that twice before. If it wasn't such a hassle to transfer to another company I would do that. If you don't have service yet, recommend you look elsewhere. read more

You'll get faster Internet service in most third-world countries than you can get from Frontier in Woodinville, at least on Hollywood Hill. Signed up for it several years ago, but the maximum speed offered was about 1.6 mbps which, in reality, usually runs around 1 mbps - barely enough for low-quality, jerky streaming. They keep promising that they're going to provide faster service, but never do. Finally, they quit promising, saying that they "don't know when" they'll upgrade. TOTAL CRAP. Please, please...will someone come in and give these pirates some competition?!!! read more

The only thing worse than having Frontier as your internet or cable provider is trying to cancel services with them. Without any exaggeration I have spent three hours (and still counting) trying to cancel my service. STRONGLY Advise Avoiding This Company Currently, they no longer offer CBS/KOMO channel 7 in the Seattle area, and blame Cox communication for this. Rather than negotiating and addressing the issue, they are asking subscribers to do the complaining for them to Cox, while continuing to charge the same rate as when they did provide this primary channel. They will also not let you cancel without incurring a $140 charge. Any concerns you have with the account has to be reviewed, which takes weeks for any type of resolution, that is if you get one. Also, as there is no contract you sign or paperwork provided regarding what you signed up for, be careful as it is your word against the sales person you spoke to regarding what you agreed to for your subscription plan/pricing. There is little to no re-course on getting any discrepancies resolved. Sadly, their customer service and business practices make Comcast look pretty good. In our case, we had the discrepancy on pricing and the rep we spoke to offered as a solution to have their retention dept. review the initial call with the sales rep. I was all on board with this, however it's been several weeks with no response from them. A few follow-up phone calls later by me and still no resolution or call-back. When I've called them, I've been told they're retention dept. is very busy (not surprised) and that they value my business, really? In the meantime, I'm paying $40 more a month than I agreed to, not receiving a CBS as I once did when initially starting with Frontier. In fairness, the internet and TV program quality are good with no service issues. For me, the $150 price tag for average internet and mid-line channels is not a good value, my Xfinity pricing was $30 less off promo. This with very poor customer service is not worth the price. read more

Absolutely awful experience. One of the worst ever. They didn't show up for install date saying they cancelled my appointment since prior tenant did not turn off service yet. Hey Frontier, you might want to notify your new customer you won't be showing up!! I could have helped resolve had I known. One week with service and it's down. Told it would several days to get if fixed. Told I was fortunate since it usually takes much longer. I had no idea I signed a contract and found out when I threatened to leave. The retention agents first words after hearing my situation was that I was on a contract and I would have to pay 250 dollars to get out. So this is their response to solving a customer problem!!! Tell them their screwed since they are in a contract rather than how they can help the customer get what they paid. Another cable and internet company craphole that I despise. By their mistake, they cut off our tv, internet and phone service. We had to call so many times and spoke with over 20 people and on hold for over 9 hours. We still do not have phone service. Seriously, zero stars! My roommate and I had this for a week and not once did it work, so my roommate called to try to get it fixed but nothing, they either couldn't find her account, would put her on hold then hang up (and never call back despite being told 'Yes we will call you if we lose the call') on her, or try to 'transfer' her to someone who could help only to be taken to the main directory once again. Finally had enough and decided to cancel after the week of bullsh*t from them only for them to once again not be able to find her account to cancel our service. Since they couldn't find it they said it shouldn't be a problem and we wouldn't get charged. Lo and behold a month later we get a bill stating we owe them for a full month of their service, so my roommate called again this time they were able to find her account and so she had to cancel AGAIN, but instead of removing this bill for a service that 1) didn't work, 2) we never used, and 3) we had already tried to cancel after only a week of having it, they kept billing her and finally sent a letter saying if she didn't pay they would send her to a collection agency which would ruin her extremely good credit score. Once again she called and was on hold the first time for 30-40 minutes before getting a hold of some person, who at first seemed to be trying to help, but as the conversation dragged on was obviously unhelpful and also seemed to have no f*cking clue what they were doing. After some time of going back and forth trying to get this bill completely removed (stating we owe them this money despite the fact that it never worked and we only had the service for a week before trying to cancel the first time, that only the second cancellation counted. And us saying no we don't because the first time we cancelled the person we talked to said it was fine and we wouldn't be billed) they finally figured out they couldn't help us and was going to transfer us to someone that could... ONLY TO TRANSFER US TO THE MAIN DIRECTORY! We were on hold for an hour and 40 minutes of getting NO ONE. So now it's to late to call them and so once again we have to try again tomorrow to get this bill removed, or my roommate will take legal actions against them if they send her to the collections. tldr: F*ck this company, terrible customer service, terrible product, filled with people who have no idea what the f*ck they are doing. Guy that installed our router gave us an outdated model and didn't even bring an HDMI cable. Drops connection all the time, can't have more than 4 devices going at once (including smartphones). DONT EVER USE FRONTIER! For three years we had their service. We started a log about how often we call and how long we are on the phone asking for service back. Every three days for 10 hours we call frontier. The employees now refuse to tell us badge numbers or employee numbers cause we have had to threaten with a lawsuit. Frontier resorted to trying to tell us they don't provide Internet in our area, better refund us for the past three years of shit service then. We had 4 techs not show up, claiming they fixed the problem. However our cameras show nobody arriving. We plan to open a lawsuit about frontier not maintaining their underground cables and leaving us with no internet for 10 days while still being charged for service. read more

BEWARE of their promotion deal. I got the $59.99 bundle package and i specifically asked if there will be any other charges on the bill on top of $59.99 and the salesperson said NO. I get a bill for $149.99 installation fee and surcharges, taxes and fees adding up to 40% of $59.99 that I was originally quote for. SALESPEOPLE, be honest and say that it will be $59.99 AND additional taxes, and fees and surcharges will can add up to over 40% of your bill!!! dishonest or poorly trained salespeople!! Frontier sucks. My service was delayed getting installed, which for an online student is a big deal. The day of installation, they couldn't find me In their system when I went to confirm my appointment. Sigh. The service itself has been spotty, resulting in extra data usage on my cell because I will have to use it as a hotspot. Not to mention, I've had my service since October and have still yet to receive any kind of bill from this company. I keep paying my bill though through auto draft, but no sort of Bill gets sent to me. Last night my internet completely went out, which was a major inconvenience. When I called tech support the guy didn't understand why I was frustrated with my service. Seeing that I was already annoyed when I made the call this am, I became even more annoyed when he played 29 questions with me to verify my account, even after I gave him my account number. For my business, spoke with Christina (she goes by Chris) Kelly about installing Frontier internet and phone service about Mid October 2015. We were waiting for answers to our questions on porting our number, having a fixed IP, and pricing. Before we even agreed to anything, the techs were at our office installing service on about Oct 28. The same day after the un-ordered installation, I called Chris and sorted out which services we actually wanted and what price plan we wanted and decided we would keep the service that had just been installed. She said that she would send us a link with an agreement. Never heard from Chris after that and no paperwork or link sent. To date, we still have not seen an invoice. After about 24 hours, whatever service we had stopped. After many calls to Chris (all unreturned) throughout the first part of November, I started calling customer service during the last two weeks of November. Different story every time, none that made sense about what was happening with our account. One rep would say we were active while another would say we were not. One would say we had an invoice that could not be accessed, another rep would say there was no invoice. I could get no information on whether we had fixed IP, whether they were working on porting the number, or whether our service would be reconnected. Finally, I reach Rhonda at customer service who found issues with our account and promises to sort things out and call me back. No call back, but when I called, the rep says service finally started working with the fixed IP on about December 15th. But, the phone number didn't port over until late in the day on 12/18. Still no internet after testing. Still we have not seen any invoice or any paperwork that provides information about what plan and services we are on. We hope the phone service continues to work, still waiting on internet service. Another call on 12/18 to a tech who promises it will be fixed on 12/21. The saga continues... read more
