Tried buying the Marines package through comcast/xfinity. Was told it would be $30 per month. Got a surprise bill for over $200 on top of what I was paying. Horrible experience. Unable to get any sort of receipt for a device payoff. I got a "payment confirmation" email that just gives a link to the customer portal. It doesn't show I've made a $466 payment to pay off my device. Disparities between what I can see on my billing information verse what they see on their program. I was just told "yeah, the app sucks" as though I should just deal with it. So glad I'm done with these people. read more

I tried to contact Comcast/Xfinity - both the installation on NE 95th Street AND the Xfinity store in the Bella Bottega Shopping Center - for an unusual personal purpose. My mission? To leave a message and phone number for an employee to call me back. No request for personal information, just to leave a simple message with the last known work address I had for another person about an urgent personal matter. There is NO working phone number that led to a human being who could take the message. Just a recording on one saying the number was no longer in service; and the other to offshore customer service that cannot do anything AT ALL, except to add the scripted apologies. If I cannot break through this idiocy by early tomorrow morning, I'll be contacting local authorities to see if they have a working phone number leading to the local management of this enterprise. Comcast/Xfinity is the absolute WORST for communications. If you do not need TV cable, cell phone, or internet services, they will NOT treat you well. After 20 years as an Xfinity customer, I moved house. I terminated my service halfway through the month but got a full month's bill. I went in to the store to find out why. Without looking at my account the agent told me that it was because I am on paper billing: but I am not, I had printed my online bill that day to show them. After giving me some smart Alec backtalk, he then condescended to look at my account. He then advised me to pay the full month's bill and said I would then get a refund when the termination was reconciled in the next billing cycle. So, basically, this execrable company is extorting money out of me for services that were cancelled over a month ago. My new ISP is charging 35% of what I was paying Xfinity. In order not to have a 'late payment record' sent to the credit agencies, I paid the full month's bill, expecting a refund when they calculated the overpayment. Despite acknolowleging that they owe me $200+; over 3 weeks after the bills were recalculated, that amount has not been refunded. I called the customer service line and they told me that they need 30 days to close the account. I told them it had now been nearly 6 weeks. They said they needed another 3-5 business days to make the refund. I complained vociferously, and they *said* they had refunded the amount on the spot. Amazing, right? But, on checking 24 hours later, that refund has NOT been made. How can a 'high tech' company like Xfinity calculate its bills 3 weeks in advance but is not only incapable of recalculating them if there is a service change before the next billing cycle, but is also incapable of making a refund for 6+ weeks? Of course, I know what is going on here: Xfinity is 'managing their cash flow' by sitting on customers' money. They probably have $100s of millions of dollars of 'free money' by doing that. For treating a 20 year customer like their personal banker; for hiring the most cavalier, obnoxious 'customer service' agents; for being price gouging monopolists; and for running 20th Century business processes in the 21st Century: I award 1 star, since zero or negative stars aren't an option. My review is not for the store location. They are actually very helpful at the location. But my experience with Xfinity in general has been horrible. Although the speed and internet connectivity is good their Customer service and support is horrible. I have Xfi Complete (entitling me to a booster pod if I have wifi strength issues) and I have been talking to engineers for 2 days trying to explain this and get a pod but it feels like I'm talking to a brick wall. They come back with "your network speed is fine"... and I feel like they are just mocking me just to avoid giving me a 100$ retail value device that I'm already paying for. This was by far the most horrible Xfinity experience I have ever had. Xfinity is running a scam with their $35/month internet and mobile deal. They overcharged me with hidden fees, failed to apply promised discounts, and hit us with two unexpected $25 setup fees. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, nothing has been fixed. We moved from T-Mobile to Xfinity last week, and we are very disappointed with Xfinity's customer service. We visited the Xfinity store in Redmond, WA, where Kevin was assisting us. Once we signed up for Xfinity, we discovered several hidden charges, such as an activation fee. There was a lack of transparency in his communication. We also wanted to upgrade our devices since we were signing a two-year contract. However, Kevin ported our number before addressing anything related to the upgrades. As a result, he did not upgrade my daughter's device because he ported her phone number first. When we spoke to his manager, we found that they were also unhelpful. In the end, we are left without my daughter's phone and stuck with a two-year contract. I am not sure why we are facing issues due to Kevin's mistakes, and no one at the store seems willing to resolve this issue. We are very disappointed with this customer service. I read more

Xfinity has terrible service, dropped connections, remote doesn't work even with new batteries etc etc. I really question this DEI program they have, I think it's called Scopas?, or something like that. My latest experience with Xfinity customer service, especially at this store, was the last straw and after 30 years of being a customer. I had gotten the Xfinity Storm-ready WiFi a few months ago. When we had a storm in October, the Storm-ready WiFi was NOT ready. It worked for about an hour but it was so slow everything timed out and I couldn't connect to anything. Then it just quit connecting all together. I wanted to return it and get a refund. I talked to customer support on the phone, and they told me I could bring it to the nearest store and they would help me. So I drove 30 minutes to my nearest store (this one in Redmond), waited in line while the guy with short blond hair snapped orders at me as to where to stand and wait, and when I finally got to someone at the desk, they told me I could not return it for a refund because it was past the 30-day return period. They wouldn't even listen to my reason - being that it didn't work in a storm, and how would I know that until there was a STORM? They were not friendly; didn't sympathize; didn't try to work with me on the issue. Then they told me only the store manager could change the policy. I asked to talk to the store manager. They said he wasn't there. I asked if I could call him, and they happily said "Sure!" and gave me his business card. When I got home I realized his business card had the CUSTOMER SUPPORT phone number on it, not his! I couldn't even find the actual store phone number when I looked it up. And the phone support people are the ones who sent me to the store in the first place. The card did have his email on it, so I emailed him. I never got a response. This tells you how much they don't want you to contact them. So I cancelled all of my services (internet and cable). Now isn't it dumb to refuse a $200 refund and lose a customer of 30 years who would have kept paying more than $300 a month for who knows how many more years? They would have made a lot more money off of me than giving me a stupid refund. But I'm glad this happened because it made me realize I should have cut the cord a long time ago. My new service with TMobile cost a lot less and I am much happier. read more

I signed up for Xfinity internet at home and they pushed this promotion to switch my cell phone carrier to Xfinity since they had a promotion with the new internet service for 12 months free. Seemed like a good deal so switched from T-Mobile to Xfinity for my cell phone service. Xfinity is a scam. They started charging my credit card 69.56 first month and 42.93 for two more months. Could not speak to anyone on the phone to fix this. Went to the store and they said for some reason the promotion was not applied. They called their "back office" and got us added to the promotion but will not refund the charges. Instead they will essentially start the promotion 3 months later. I was paying a lot less at T-Mobile as part of a family plan and could have signed up for visible which at that time was offering people switching from t-mobile 15 dollars a month unlimited plan. The total they charged me was the same as almost a year on Visible. I suggest you not trust this company with anything. Go with any other provider but Xfinity. read more

Signed up for Xfinity 'Fast' internet and opted to use the Xfinity modem. Internet worked great for a week, but shut off without warning one week later. After spending hours on the phone with customer service, I found out that the Redmond store had given us the wrong modem (xb3) for our plan, causing our service to be disconnected. Later that day, we returned to the same store to receive the correct modem (x5 or 6), only for us to be given the same exact model (xb3). When we told them the modem was incorrect, they argued and insisted that the first modem was correct, despite the fact we were told by corporate that our service was disconnected for having the xb3 modem. If you need internet to work from home, do not use Xfinity, and certainly stay away from the Redmond branch. read more

I just called about my bill and ended up with someone from comcast who upgraded me to a new plan without my consent, sent me a box that he never told me about and now I am suppose to return it? They are also based now for customer service in the Philipines so they gave me the wrong date for xfinity service (which was to come by) because she said she accidentally told me the day for her location (not mine). I'm trying to figure out how to get the sports channels we want without cable, so please reply to me with suggestions. I really, really need to ditch comcast. Really awful customer service. Rep was very rude and argumentative with me and my son. Store manager was sitting 3 feet away and witnessed the whole thing and did nothing, just watched. Rep wouldn't listen to me when I was trying to explain what I needed, he kept interrupting me and telling me I was wrong. I explained that I had been to another xfinity store location a few days ago and they said I could go to any store after 2-3 days to finish setting up my son's phone. When I explained to the rep what they told me he just kept saying no we can't do that, they're wrong, I didn't tell you that so it's not my problem. Then he literally said to me "why don't you go back to the other store then, it's not that far". I was shocked that he would even say something like that to a customer and the manager just sat there watching the whole thing and didn't say a word or make any attempt to assist me. It is the old story of going through a series of prompts and getting connected to the wrong person and getting transferred. If I am going to get connected to the wrong person to begin with, why not just answer the phone find out what I need and send me where I should go? Comcast does not have good customer service and recently I had another bad experience. I wanted to port a number to Xfinity from other service provider. In order to finish the process quickly, I decided to get it done in the store. That was the bad decision! When I first went there, I was greeted by one of the agents and asked me to wait. Later, my name was called and then one agent came to help me. He collected all the information and after very long wait, he said that there is some error in the system. Later he called customer care. Customer care person told him that their system has crashed. Agent promised to work through it and give me call back. However, I never received the call. I went next day to the store. This time, it was some other person. He ran into some other problem and then after very long wait, he called customer care. Customer care person spoke to me over the phone and asked me my full SSN. He said that he cannot help me if I don't give him my full SSN. I had no other option but to shout my SSN over the phone in the store. After waiting for couple of hours, I decided to leave. The agent from the store told me that if I leave, he will not be able to help and will close the case. Finally, I decided to do it online and it was just quick 2 minute process which went smoothly. The SIM card arrived in 2 days and my number was ported successfully. I am still wondering why store guys were not able to help even after making me wait for several hours multiple times. I don't think they are very well equipped to handle customer matters. read more

I went into the Redmond office and I wanted to share my horrible Comcast experience. I say Comcast because it was contract technicians that came out to my home not Xfinity folks for a separate issue. The store manager was not available. Since I was there I asked for ways to lower my bill. The agent said I could keep my Ultimate TV package. I also had some pay channels that were included too. He did lower my bill but said nothing about me losing my extra channels. I also, now have another 2 year contract. I listened to every word, I thought, however, when I went home that's when I found I had lost the pay channels that were part of my existing package. I realized he did a bait and switch on me. So much double talk it sounded good. Later at home, I checked my bill for the next month and it was the same as prior months. I have read many of the reviews and found Xfinity does not respond to these. I wonder why? Of course I have to return to the Redmond office and have them make this right. INSTALLATION & INTERNET SERVICE...4* I had Comcast cable Internet from September 2014 to October 2015. The installer came on time, was courteous, installed my cable modem and activated my service well enough. The internet service itself was OK with only one cable outage during that time, and very little "buffering". BILLING PRACTICES...0* Their shifty-shafty billing practices especially leave much to be desired. Their bills are very hard to understand, yet made to look easy to understand (go figure!). Around January 2015, they tried adding an extra fee for an add-on service I did not request. They also bumped up my modem rental rates by an additional $2/month from $8 to $10. When I complained, they said that the initial one year introductory "locked in" rate of $39.95/month did not include modem rental, therefore that was not part of the "locked in" rate, and therefore subject to a price increase even during a "promotional introductory special". This made the actual bill $47.95/month,before the $2/month increase. They did not mention this when I first called to sign up. And their promotional ads mention this only in small print. RETENTION PART ONE...3* I called their "retention department" and threatened to quit unless they reversed that. To their credit, they did reverse that, and even promised to extend my "locked in" rate until January 2016. But in September 2015, my rates went up. So I quit them in early October 2015 because they refused to honor my extended "locked in" rate. RETENTION PART TWO...0* When I complained to the retention department about the company not honoring their "locked in" rate for me (in early October),they told me that a "supervisor" would call me back the next day. But no "supervisor" called. So I called them, but I just kept being stalled. I got into a shouting match with them and hung up and quit. RETENTION PART THREE...0* But I gave them a second chance when they sent two special retention representatives during that same month(October 2015) to our condo complex to try to "kiss and make up" for the company. I said I will sign up again if they stick to their original "locked in" rate for me. The rep agreed, promising to keep that rate for another year until October 2016. but shortly thereafter I got my first bill that was about $17 more per month. I called up both the Comcast retention department, and the special rep (who gave me her card) that reupped me, but both reneged on the reup deal. So I quit Comcast again in late October 2015. I noticed that the representatives of their "retention department" speak much better English than their tech-support reps(see below). This applies to both the retention department whenever I called the Comcast toll-free line, as well as their "kiss and make up" special retention representatives (I wonder why). THEIR TECH SUPPORT...2* But their technical support reps are sometimes hard to understand as English is not their first language. Nor are they always able to help with tech-support. When I gave Comcast a second chance, I was told by my aforementioned special retention representative to pick up the modem at the nearest Comcast store, but I had to reinstall it myself. I hooked up the modem myself, but the service would not work, so I called up tech support. It took me hours and speaking to three tech support representatives before I finally was able to get back online. Kudos to "Isaac" for being the third guy who finally was able to help me. MY "COMCAST CONSCIOUSNESS"...2 1/2* To be fair (which is hard to do when dealing with a company like this), I repeatedly did not patiently abide their antics (I got into another shouting match with them when I quit the second time in late October 2015 when they reneged). I did not exactly conduct myself with the patience of Job, but nor did I come on like a screaming battle-axer (a male battle-axe) right off the bat.(YouknowwhutImeanVern?) THE LEGACY OF COMCAST...0* So I complained to the Washington state Attorney General's Office. The AGO told me that they had 30,000 pages of complaints over the previous three years, the most common complaint being unethical billing practices. On August 1, 2016, the Washington AGO launched a class-action lawsuit against Comcast. Also, if you go to the "Comcast" page on Wikipedia.com, under the subheading "Criticism and Controversy" you will see that Comcast was awarded "Worst Company in America" in 2010 and in 2014, according to "The Consumerist" blog .That's because Comcast is an unregulated Monopoly! read more

Personally I have an awfully low opinion of comcast. I'll never forget 12 years ago when I managed a condo property which had a commercial comcast account to provide basic tv service to all 165 homes at the property. One day a comcast tech came to repair someone's service and he didn't have a key to the box on the side of the building. Frustrated the tech took a hammer and broke the cover off our box. Later that day when I discovered the problem I called Comcast and explained what happened. The comcast agent then told me " Well we can have a repair person out there between 6-18 months". I swear to God that's what she said, and it wasn't just just the words that were so shocking it was her tone too. There wasn't any remorse or regret in her. She seemed perfectly comfortable telling me that it might be a year and a half before they fix the damage to our building that they caused. I called them back later and let them know we were withholding payment until they fixed the problem. Then they came back a few days later and installed a new box. What I learned from this experience was that large companies who hold a monopoly usually have very bad customer service because at the end of they day they think we will just have to put up with it because it's no like we have other choices. I'm rooting for Fios and I'll probably give them a call. Thank God we have a choice now. read more

The short version of this review is don't take anything the employees of this store say at face value, the long version is as follows: I'd like to start off by saying that as most people know, this company's customer service is horrible from top to bottom. So I'm impressed that they still found a way to surprise me with how incapable and incompetent they are. I went to this place with an old roommate to switch the account from me to them since I don't live there anymore. Literally everyone we talked to was rude and lacked any kind of social skills. The hostess type employee that took our name, the guy who helped us (I think his name was Connor), and his manager. We waited about 10 minutes to see someone and then sat down with the guy. He quickly ran us through the process which was ridiculous. Since I didn't have any paperwork stating that I moved out (who the heck carries that around?!) he said he needed manager approval because people try to bounce account responsibility around so they could get new deals. We asked if that still was a thing, he said it can't be done anymore. So basically we waited about 5 minutes more for this lady to come over and grill us like we were lying over something that they literally indicated DOESN'T MATTER. After that this guy proceeded to tell us lies about how we couldn't keep the modem because it was too good for the speed. I'm an ex-Comcast tech and had to call him out on that lie to which he replied with an excuse explaining it was still necessary (he later said my ex-roomie could keep the modem so this was pointless). Overall this took an awkward 45 minutes. The best part is that after my old roomie returned home they had to call in and talk to someone FOR AN HOUR because the guy that helped us messed up. The icing on the cake is that a week later I got the bill for service I am no longer receiving or using. So now I have to call them to get that resolved which will no doubt take no less than 30 minutes if I'm lucky. Be careful with these employees and this company. They will charge you for things you don't need or want. Things you don't ask for, like a 10$ charge with internet accounts that allow you stream tv online or some BS like that. You have to verbally tell them to remove it AFTER they open the account if the guy wasn't lying again. read more

I'm not sure what's going on at this store. There were 7 people waiting for service. I see 4 or 5 employees working here but only 1 is actually helping a customer. My husband and I came in and was immediately greeted by a gentlemen who asked for the reason of our visit. I advised him we were here to pick up a cable box after speaking to customer service. He took down my name and was asked to have a seat and wait to be called. We sat and waited and waited to be called and about 30 minutes later we got to the front of the line. I wished there was a separate line for folks who are here to pick up or drop off and be off on their way. I did not find customer service to be rude but more unfriendly. They don't seem to smile at all. I think they are good at their job but do they like/love their job? Customer service or smile training is in order. read more
