I came in and brought in an old modem (little did I know that I was being charged for the use of it for months...) and he was able to get it checked in and work with me to discover that I no longer needed it and credited my account. He was very responsive on email, was extremely easy to work with and polite, and made my experience great! I suggest going in in the mornings because it seems like it is less busy then. If you are in need of great treatment and you are sick and tired of the people at Comcast not being kind, go see Nasir...he is the best! Nationally, Comcast is frequently named as the worst customer service of all US companies, or close. However, I'm not rating the national company, I'm rating this location. My wife and I have hosted an Oscars party enough times that it's fair to call it an annual tradition. Other than that, we don't watch conventional television; we stream Netflix, Amazon Prime, Youtube, etc. So far, there doesn't seem to be a reliable way to watch the Oscars broadcast through streaming, so part of our annual tradition is research about the cheapest way to get television on that one day, a trip to the local Comcast office to sign up and pick up equipment (because Comcast has beat Fios and satellite each time we've checked prices, and we're in a dead zone for over-the-air signals), and after the party a trip back to the Comcast office to cancel service and return equipment. This year, we went to sign up on a weekday during the day. The four customer service agents on duty today outnumbered the customers (one besides us, I think), and my wife was already being served before I found a parking space. We went through the usual application process (shorter this year than in the past because we were past customers) quickly. The only complicated problem was making it clear that we wanted the most basic of basic HD plans, because the only channel we cared about was the local affiliate of the network that's broadcasting the Oscars. I know from news reports that Comcast people are trained to push more expensive services than people ask for, but once we made it clear that we were just setting up service for the party the people working today were polite enough to acknowledge that their up-sell training wouldn't accomplish anything. We got our packet of gear (a much smaller cable box than in past years, plus some connectors and things) and a tote bag to haul it out safely, and we headed for the door. We even got some friendly goodbyes from the other sales people on our way out. Today's service deserves a five-star rating, but some of our previous years' visits have taken longer, because we haven't always had a chance to go in on a weekday during the day. (And even if this location's service were always admirable, it just seems wrong to give five stars to Comcast.) read more

Comcast is the most unfriendly customer-centric company on the planet. They make is as difficult as possible to reach a person and the people you do talk to can't do anything for you. Billing is out of control due to limited choices in the market. They advertise free shows and when you try to watch them they come up as "RENT". When are we going to have more cable/internet choices? Like Tyler's review, Zach made my Xfinity experience at the Redmond store perfect. I moved here from out of state and read all the rotten reviews for Comcast. To put this in perspective, we are moving into a home that was an existing Comcast Cable user. When I tried to switch over the service using the online chat, I was told there was existing service (true) and that it could not be switched (I was asking for a date *after* the previous user would have moved). The online service could not manage that task. I then called Comcast Customer Service but received similar difficulties. They could not set up my service until the previous user made a change to his account (He had already called, but perhaps the system did not catch up?) Waited a few days and then tried online chat again. Much better success on the third attempt, but could not get the exact setup I wanted. And then in the middle of my chat, we got disconnected. So I decided to walk in to the Xfinity Store in Redmond. Glad I did! The third party vendors in India and the Philippines were all polite and trying their best, but they are reps who cover the entire United States. They can only answer the questions with answers already provided on their screens. On the other hand, the Redmond office is staffed by professional and polite Comcast personnel who live in the same neighborhood. And they care. I got my account set up in no time at all, received my modem, and was able to walk out the same day, plug in the modem and get Internet after I called and activated the line. The modem seemed a little large, but it included a wireless router, so with one box I cover my entire home. Bottom Line: Need Comcast on the Seattle Eastside? Go to the Redmond store. read more

I now know why people say Comcast mistreats and thugs customers of time and hard earned money! 1. Have paid ~$60 a month for years but was never upgraded to better internet speeds. Still stuck at 3MBPS. 2. The Comcast store gave me WRONG SETUP BOX TWICE. 3. 1st customer care asked to get setup box tested at center. Install appointment was a week later. They dont test. Gave wrong one again. 4. 2nd care person made me upgrade and put an incorrect order in. My 10 days wasted" ** Both the above two visits of mine were at this Redmond store. Same goes for Call Center Care Reps I talked to. :( BTW, all we have been trying to do is get a Digital HD TV setup. This is our first digital TV in our home. Yes, it's difficult to like Comcast, but the representatives here are way better than any other Comcast Service Centers (I'd avoid the Factoria location at all costs). Our cashier was Tas and he was fantastic. Attentive and a smooth transaction. Really can't complain! The next time I need to go to a service center, this is my go to location! However, on weekends, this area can get crowded. Just make sure you check in at the front, and they'll call you up when your number is called. They're pretty quick as I was number six in line and in under 15 minutes I was called up. So much quicker than what you'd normally expect at a Comcast Service Center. read more

After having dish for 6years I decided to go with Comcast. Price is the same but they're so many newer features with Comcast! When I went in this store today everyone was super friendly and attentive. I was helped by Frida(I think) :) well she was great! She helped me find the perfect package that goes with my needs and she also explained how the billing cycle works! She was supper friendly and that definitely influenced in why I chose to sign up on a one year contract. If there is a zero star on yelp, I will give them a zero!!! I am a new customer requesting for installation service. The first appointment: the technician drive directly pass me without stop with me waving hands and ask him to stop. The second appointment: due to my disappointment of my first one, the customer service representative help me schedule an appointment on next day with an appointment window from 8am to 8 pm. Yes you re right, it is a 12 hour appointment window and I wait for the technician for 12 hours and there is no one ever showing up at my door step and i still have no internet. With bearing for the ridiculous stupid phone system to finally got to talk to a person, I was told that my issue was marked complete. Apparently the technician think that my wifi issue can be fixed without ever coming close /in my house and without my internet actually working. To make another appointment, I was told that I have to wait for 7days for another appointment, with no guarantee that my wifi can be fixed. If there is ever another wifi provider, just choose others to save yourself time and trouble. This is the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. read more

I just left this store and had one of the best retail experiences I've had in years. Connor took care of me - bought two phones and ported three numbers over to Xfinity - had to overcome a couple of snags with my previous carrier - and did so efficiently and painlessly. He then went over my cable and internet bill and found ways for me to not only get more of what I wanted - but to save money while doing so. Everyone I had contact with was pleasant and courteous. OK, yes, it's near impossible to even "like" Comcast as a company. To "put up" with them is more accurate and still asking a lot. We all hate them. They rip us off but for cable/internet, we don't have many options. So as corporate America goes, the customer typically gets exploited. Just a PSA to say I've HAD it with the ridiculous prices and RUDE service offered by Comcast/ xfinity. I'm sorry, but I simply believe that should NOT be my highest priced utility bill! I went to the Redmond Xfinity store yesterday, to trade in my 10 year old equipment which they happily continued to charge me for as "their best dvr & cable box" and negotiate a new service plan. I wanted to reduce the cost and my needs have changed so I said we could remove the phone and DVR, I only needed internet and tv. Shockingly, the new proposal was to be even HIGHER and completely disregarded the offer I held in my hand! When I asked how that was possible the employee rudely asked (in a "come on cheap-skate" type tone ) "well how much do you think tv should cost miss?" I said certainly not $200 a month!! He did his best eye roll and became even more condescending and loud. At this point, in a state of shock, I asked to see a manager. The counter guy is now yelling at me- YELLING! Again, I was truly shocked! Unfortunately, it got worse still as the manager used the same obnoxious tone! He did not bother to ask me what the problem was, in fact he actually told me "you need to be quiet and let me talk to my employee"; which actually meant allow him to criticize, verbally abuse, continue to speak rudely (and loudly), and in a condescending manner about me in the main store area!!) during their "discussion" they re-configured the proposed services and it was even HIGHER again! It is obvious they have turned into the used car salesman type of business, they'll take as much from you as they can convince you to pay! I for one am SICK of it. I'm switching to Centurylink & Dish; it will cost 1/2 as much and I won't be abused regularly. Rude, unapologetic, and horrible customer service. When I setup my comcast service, I explicitly opted out of modem rental. And there was no modem rental fee on the first bill. After the first bill, I setup automatic and paperless payments, and ever since then, they have been incorrectly charging me modem rental fees. After spending several hours with their Customer Service chat, I was able to get the rental fees credited and my account canceled. But then they charged me for not returning modem equipment. So I ended up at this horrible customer service center. The rep was rude from the beginning and used a condescending tone throughout. He finally took off the modem equipment charge. And when I probed about the rental fee credit because the numbers did not add up, he went on a rant about how I was lucky to get back what I did. And that I should be happy with what I got. Leaving aside the fact that they had been incorrectly stealing my money to begin with. I plan on taking this matter up with the Better Business Bureau and I really hope someone explains to comcast how to deal with customers. read more

I feel bad even calling customer service because they don't make great money and people yell at them all day and it's always made me cringe when people that are rude to customer service. Therefore, I need you to really hear me when I tell you that Comcast is a whole other level of pure unadulterated evil and to choose another provider if you truly love yourself. Every employee that me and my husband have spoken with just pulled random numbers out of their asses for package prices- nothing was consistent. We cut a deal with Verizon that was supposed to give us a better price with Comcast for internet. When we called the number that Verizon gave us the prices were suddenly ridiculously high and we ended up getting a better price without the supposed "deal." A customer service representative named Shawn convinced us to drive an hour and 30 minutes to verify my identity at a Comcast Xfinity store when the employees there told us that it was completely pointless. We bought the internet package with 50mbps -105mbps. The internet is now hooked up and our internet speed is 6.12mbps. Based on the reviews we knew the internet would be pretty bad but I can't watch anything or conduct business at 6.12mbps. We called customer service to fix it and they hung up on us. Me and my husband are so stressed over these idiots that I'm sitting here nauseous and at wits end hoping I can save another lost soul from entering this living hell and help them to learn to love themselves instead of choosing Comcast. I paid $49.99 to be Comcast's bitch and I'm to the point where I don't even care if I'm their bitch. Xfinity places a written Ad "Service Alert" in the middle of the TV screen all the time when I am watching TV, it interferes with my viewing and it's extremely annoying, I can't get rid of the bold written ad unless I change channel. Comcast/Xfinity will randomly rise your bill and start charging you for equipment and services you don't use and never requested. Its theft and good luck trying to get back what they stole from you. They were quick in providing connection to me, but had problems with them there after. Since I did not have my own modem when the connection was setup, I had to take a rental device from comcast. Within 5days I bought my own modem and returned the comcast one in their office at Redmond. I was told that the return is registered in their systems. It's been 2.5 months since I returned it, but I have been charged for the rental of the device every month till now. I visited their office, called up the customer care thrice, but the problem is still in unresolved state. read more

I've been hearing horrible stories about Comcast customer service over the phone but thought the local service center in Redmond with a bunch of local guys should be friendly. Hell was I wrong! Did they hire the "best" car dealers to run this service center? So here's the story. I went to sign up for the service 3 weeks ago. The guy tried to sell me internet+TV for $65 for the first year. I said that's too expensive for me and I don't watch TV with remote control, then the store manager Nick came and provided me internet without TV for $25. I took it. Since I bought the modem by myself, nothing was handed over to me that day. I asked whether I could have some print-out or even take a photo with my phone as a record that it's internet only for $25. I said so because I've heard too many horrible stories about them. The manager rejected, saying that it's not allowed and I should trust him. Then two weeks later, I got a bill saying that I actually was signed up for internet+TV at $65, which is the offer I rejected, and it also charges me 3 internet and TV starting kits! Hey, I didn't get any kit at that day! I came back with no modem, no set-top box, no cable, even not a receipt! So I called customer service over the phone, they said I should go to the service center. I went, the first time I waited for half an hour. Nick was not there. His assistant checked the system, admitted it's their fault, but said price is going up and he can only get me back to $30/month, not the original $25. What? Isn't this a bait-and-switch? I refused it and said I would come back the next day to talk to Nick directly. The next day Nick was there. At the beginning he said oh that's a glitch in your bill, and showed me the computer screen that says I'm already on an internet-only for $30, with a date of the day before. Clearly even though I rejected the other guy's adjustment, he still changed me to $30 the day before. Wow, a second time? You really could do whatever you like without the customer's approval, even when the customer walks out of the door! How powerful is that! I said that's not what we agreed with. First he said there's a note in the system saying he offered me $30 not $25. I asked for the proof on the computer screen but he refused to show to me. Hello? Then he came up with a second excuse saying that what he did was lowering down the price of the internet part, but still signed me for internet+TV. Wow, then why is the total still $65, the same as what the first guy offered? You mean you lowered the price of the internet to lure me in but jacked up the price of the TV to keep your profit? Then he gave up and say $30 is what he can do, take it or cancel it, and asked me out. What a clever bait-and-switch company! How could millions of customers in the US tolerate this kind of nasty monopoly to control their "high-speed" internet access? Wake up guys! We really need to file a class action and plead for Frontier or Google to end this monopoly. read more

I've moved from one side of the country to the other and Comcast's near-monopoly has plagued me the whole way over nearly a decade. My experience with their service and support have been so-so, but not terrible. Far more damning for an Internet Service Provider is that the Internet service just isn't provided consistently or particularly well. On either side of the country. Speeds are spastic as hell, disruptions in service are extremely frequent (either complete loss or just interolerably slow speed). Hulu breaks often on Comcast. Netflix breaks often. Google Music breaks often. Basic plain-Jane Web browsing dies on me frequently. Their DNS servers can't seem to decide if they want to be up or down. I have had other service providers. None of them are perfect, but I've never had such consistent poor performance from any technology since the bygone days when we used phone lines to get online. When shopping for a new apartment (or soon, a new house), "can I get something besides Comcast" is one of the first questions I ask. The place has to be an exceptionally nice resident for a particularly good price to even remotely permit Comcast being the sole Internet provider. The one good thing I can say is that Comcast seems to be rolling out IPv6 more aggressively than many other ISPs. read more

Internet is extremely slow and every time I watch something on demand it skips out to the point that I lose information and have no idea whats going on. So Comcast / Xfinity is an awful company. They came out to install a line from the pole to the neighbors house and they decided our grape vine / tree (probably 80 years old) had to come down, not the part that was climbing up the spruce tree and in their way but they decided to cut it off at the base and it was coming off our property too and they didn't have the courtesy to ask or inform us, I just went out and it was all dead and the poor stump was dripping. They said they have an easement and thats the way it goes and they offered $50 credit, and that doesn't even cover one month of internet!
