Definitely, do not go to this store (or the one in Carlsbad) if you expect good customer service and knowledgeable representatives of the Verizon products and services. If you want to purchase an accessory and know exactly what you want...great, good place to go. If you want to be treated like a 3rd class citizen when you have a problem or issue...never step foot into these stores. The problem is that most Verizon stores are franchise stores except corp stores which are few and far between ( a little know fact for the general public). I will write as many reviews as I have to for me to be heard, I didnt even have a yelp account before this review! My husband was lied to entirely in this store! He thought he was adding a JetPack to our plan but instead it started an entire other contract with them for another 2 years. He came in the store to apply his military discount because for the past year and a half we got the run around on how to apply the discount so we tried this store since we were recently stationed in Oceanside, CA. He was talking to a girl named Shannon and he was just chatting about how our internet company screwed us. He was lead to believe we could do all that we do now on our internet with the JetPack they sell. We needed to finish our month of internet before even using the JetPack so we didnt even use it yet. My husband was told our bill would be lower, and was told nothing about a prorated bill the first month. We also watch a lot of netflix and he even explained this to the woman but now going back to the store she said she would never say that. So basically they expect me to believe that we knew all about the Jetpack and what we were getting into when it would make NO sense at all for us to get the Jetpack when is does not suit our lifestyle in the least. So basically what it comes down to, for something I never even used at all, we have to buy out of our contract that we've had for a month and pay a suprise first month bill of $521! And we didnt even use the thing, they could see that we didnt bc our usage, they lied to us about the whole thing just to sell it to us. I loved verizon until today. I now know that us customers are absolutely nothing but money to them. Dont tell me there is nothing that you can do when you got us in this mess in the first place with your lies! My husbad has been a loyal customer for 6 years, me for the last year and half, never late on a bill or anything and then they just screw us out of no where. ANYONE WHO GOES HERE READ EVERYTHING, SIGN NOTHING and DONT EXPECT A THOROUGH EXPLAINATION BUT WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR, AFTER YOU SIGN IS WHEN THEY TELL YOU THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also talked to the store manager and shannon both and got NOTHING! We were in the store for an hour before we were help. There were 12 customers in the store but all the reps were in the back room not in veiw and i had pointed that out to my husband. We were in the store for 3 hours and got nothing but a brick wall talking to them, no consideration, no admitting what they did, nothing but pretty much but them saying nothing we can do and by the time we left, the lady had a very sour attitude and we said forget it all and stormed out. This was by far the most horrible customer service i have ever recieved from anywhere...... I just can not believe the way this night has turned out. So much for spending Veterans Day weekend with my Marine who serves this country and the military in general making it possible for there to even be a successful verizon store.... Walked in to get a new SIM card for my phone and stood in the middle of the location for 5 minutes while everyone of the employees was talking on the phones and helping everyone but me, one employee even walked right past me without talking to me at all! This store has had THE worst customer service. You come into talk to a rep they tell you one thing, you come back in and "they never said that". This has happened numerous time, about pricing your plan, your data the price. While waiting for a rep, a lady walked in and waited literally 7 minutes to get contacted! She mentioned to me how ridiculous this customer service was, ironically I defended them saying that they're just busy but they literally screw you over. I wouldn't recommend coming here. I went into this Verizon store in Oceanside, CA after making several purchases at Sherman Oaks Verizon over the past 8 mos. I had 3 diff iphone chargers that were on the blink & no receipt. Expecting pushback I explained the situation. To my surprise, these folks replaced all 3 without any issues whatsoever. They were awesome and extremely willing to help. I recommend them highly as far as customer service goes, however I'm not a fan of Verizon brand iphone chargers. I've been through 3 already. read more

I went here because my battery was having issues (I have an S5 from the first batch) and happened to be in the same center getting a hair cut so I figured I'd drop in to see how long the wait was. Was helped right away by Virginia (I think this was her name) she checked all my settings, checked to see how it charged on one of there chargers, switched a few settigns for me and said if it kept happening to come back. A month later it started happening again in addition to getting really warm (it was hot to the touch at 6am). Happened to get Virginia again, she is awesome! She gave my a brand new battery. I also had some questions on the data plans for jetpacks and she went above and beyond trying to find a plan that would work, She wasn't able to but said if she thought of soemthing else she would contact me! read more

Chris Allen was amazing. They didn't have my phone in stock when I came in, but Chris let me know that he would follow-up with me tomorrow if they received the Note 5 in that days shipment. The next day Chris called me and let me know that they didn't receive any Note 5's but he would check with other locations. Unfortunately the other locations did not have them in stock. Not happy with this store at all. They sold my husband a phone and Hum (don't bother getting it, most cars come with this service already). He told him he could return it anytime if he didn't like it. Not the case it was a 15 day return. Of course, he returned it after that and was told we are in a contract ( FOR 2 YEARS) and the same thing happened with the Moto Z pay he got. He was told he could upgrade at anytime. He forgot to mention he would have to pay to get out of the 2 Year Contract to get another phone. All they seem to do is Lie, Lie, Lie! It's all about how many sales they got for the day. I even heard them talking about their sales numbers for the day. Ugh! Disgusting. This place it worse than a used car lot sales guy. Next time I will call and try over the phone so I don't have to waste my time at the store. At least I know the phone calls are recorded and they have to tell the truth!! I had a great experience here. I actually walked in this store in a bad mood and walked out in a better mood. Just remember most reviews are based on other people's day and sometimes they walk in and form an opinion based on their own frustration, and it's not the actual store or employee that is the issue. I got treated great here. Chris was prompt and informative and told me about other options with upgrading my phone and how to get more for my money while also saving more. He was friendly and enjoyable. Monna followed up with me the next day after my experience to offer her assistance should I need it and I like that. I strongly urge others to go in places and have their own experience before passing judgement after reading Yelp reviews. My 2nd bad experience at this store happened today and i had to sign up for yelp just to tell you about it. I went in at open and was greeted by the manager she introduced me to a customer service agent who it seemed friendly. She was not helpful, but i think it was because the manager had told her to basically give me the run around on two seperate occasions. The customer service representive that was helping me agreed that it was clear that i had not caused my s5 to break suddenly overnight that they would be able to ship me a new phone. I was going to leave but she stopped me said we can ship it sooner by upgrading your shipping so i saw a decent value and upgraded to the 1st tier thinking i was going to get a phone. She then insisted that she would call me later on my broken phone to get a hold of me once she found a form that her manager had mysteriously alluded to passively. The manager didnt take any attempt while i was in the store to try to find the form. It was upsetting at this point in the store because i could already see that i was being baited for something. When i saw my phone ringing 5 hours later I couldnt even see what number was calling. I desperately tried to answer it but couldnt. it was obviously agreed upon that it was broken, why did they think this was a good idea? Anyways. I called her number because she at least had the foresight to give me her business card. I used a friends phone to call back and she basically told me she couldnt find the form her manager talked about. It turned out that it was for a different form and it was for a different model phone randomly melting. The customer service rep i was talking to said i couldnt be refunded any chargers we made for shipping in store and that i was SoL. I am pretty sure her manager had this plan all day and instead of just telling me right then, she wasted my whole day. I had to wait to the end to ask for the manager, who basically pretended to not be the person who helped me earlier until i asked her if it was. I told her that i thought it was deceptive the way she treated me and just wanted an honest answer. If someone else recieves the box they have shipped for me i get charged $350 and there is nothing they can do they say. Customer service from management was the exact opposite of a desirable encounter. Wasted an entire day and even tried to charge me fees for services they weren't able to provide. I went in there today and told i was unable to view my account bc the account holder was not there, and I understood that but i told them i still needed some questions answered so i stayed. The later there talked to the person that went there later bc she forgot to write down my name on the guest list. No help from anyone... doesn't this business want my money? This store needs customer service training pronto. Or let go of the people that can't contribute to the store. A business like a mobile wireless phone business has a great deal in terms of regular customers because its about a 1-2 year agreement between you and the customer. I have found the people at this store to be very helpful and knowledgeable, but my complaint is with their wireless phone protectors by Otter Box. I found out that the product protects the phone from water incursion just fine, but the BIG problem is that it cuts down reception to the point that the phone does not ring and voice transmission drops out continuously, no matter where you are or how good the reception is. It took me over a month of missed calls to figure it out. Once I removed the Otter Box, the problem went away completely. Neither Verizon nor Otter Box want to take responsibility for this defect. So, be aware of this potential problem if you plan to purchase one. read more

Verizon as a company is good. The service is good and the price is right, but the customer service at this location is absolutely atrocious. EVERY time we've gone in the customer service was half assed. Most recently I upgraded to an iPhone 5s. The employee promised he'd be able to move over photos and videos to my new phone for me so I could turn in my old phone to save money (even though we didn't pay anything that day and requested to have it put on our next bill). So for the 4 HOURS we were there that's what he tried to do. I lost some VERY sentimental videos of my elderly grandparents and when I told him they didn't all transfer he exact words were "that's weird I don't know why they wouldn't." I was then left to pretty much fend for myself and try and upload them to dropbox or FB on my old phone and hope it worked. It didn't. On top of losing something I was very emotionally attached too he was rolling his eyes and being short with my mother and I within the first 15 minutes we were there when we had very simple questions. I had to call my dad to confirm the account since he is the account holder and the employee rattled off a lot of info that I can't memorize by heart and expected me to reiterate it to my father on the phone, when I asked if he would mind telling my dad he quickly snatched my phone and walked away from us to talk to my dad. The times before employees have always been rude, and expect us to know all the information we were inquiring about like we should know better. THAT'S WHY WE HAD QUESTIONS BECAUSE WE WERE UNSURE. Like I said earlier, Verizon as a company is great. But the staff at this location, for lack of a better term, are douchebags. read more

I went to this location to activate a Gizmo gadget that was given to me. They were somewhat busy. After a while the manager David came to start our transaction. He was able to complete the whole activation process in a timely manner. He was very helpful and friendly. He showed us how it worked and told us where we could get instructions for future reference (since we were given this gadget.) I felt he really cared about our experience at Verizon. I was given immediate and very professional help. I even bought a Tablet while there because I was finished way before the time I allotted for my problem. Kudos to the staff at this store. Spent several hours on the phone clearing up how to obtain a SIM card for my new device. (I'm a longtime Prepaid Verizon customer.) I arrived and one of the store reps greeted me, got a blank SIM card and I was told I had to be on a current plan (go up to a $50 a month plan) AND I couldn't do that till my current month ended at the end of the month (apparently since the telephone Verizon service rep had suggested I change my plan since I don't use much data.) I left the store without a SIM card and without service on my new device. I called Verizon and was told that no, I don't need to upgrade to another plan, and all the store rep had to do was call Verizon on the phone if the computer system wouldn't let him make the change. Either that, or he should have given me the SIM card and Verizon could have done the change over the phone with me. I really wish everyone were on the same page, and all give out correct info so some of us don't have to precious time over sometime that should be an easy change. read more

Really bad customer service. I went in to purchase a 4G router and home phone device. I knew exactly what I wanted so this should have been an easy sale for them. The sales associate, Chase (who I would later find out was the store manager) had zero knowledge of the plans for the device when I first asked about it. He had to go ask another associate and then came back with a monthly rate plan of $110, when I was quoted much less by a Verizon phone representative. He then tried to sell me on another plan that didn't even come close to fitting my needs, probably because he didn't bother to listen to my needs in the first place. I wound up leaving and this "manager" actually let me walk out, no problem, like he was too good to be bothered with any level of customer service. I called Verizon national phone sales on our ride home from the store and got MUCH better service from a phone sales rep named Dan. If you are in this area, just order via telephone sales, stay out of this store. They have no sense of how to treat customers and are really lacking in product and rate plan knowledge. read more

I usually go to corporate store, but this location was close so went to upgrade wife's phone, the salesman was very nice and sold her the SE I phone, and head phones, and me a jetpack, which was misrepresented and we were told we had 14 days to return all items, two days later I went to return the jetpack which was not working properly and the told me I would get the refund but there was a restocking fee and i still had to pay activation fee. The head phones (never used) they would not take citing health concerns? Bottom line use the customer service on 611 or corporate store to get the straight scoop, yes I should have read the information also, but getting lazy and actually the pad I signed on was remote from the computer screen, again my bad, just trying to see the good in people and not be cynical, oh well so much for that back to being an Adam Henry.
