I wanted to give a special credit to Anna who is working temporarily at this store About 8 months ago someone from this store had sold me a battery that was old from 2016. I brought it back for warranty and showed my receipt. Apparently battery should not be sold that are any older than 2 years old. Anna spend easily 30 minutes calling different stores to find me a new battery with a much newer date code and is having it shipped to the store for me to pick up. Before I was able to enter the front door to this Autozone Auto Parts Store there was a HUGE SIGN on the Door that said: All Customer's are Required to wear a (Face Mask) before they can enter the front door. I put on my (Face Mask) and then I walked into the (Front Door). The 3 Employees, (2 younger guys and one woman) were all wearing (Face Masks) due to the COVID-19 Rules. I drove over to AutoZone Auto Parts Store at 2 p. m. this afternoon to buy (2 Oil Pans) to catch any additional Oil Drips coming from underneath my Honda Civic Car and my mom's Honda Accord Car. My mom's Honda Accord Car has already been repaired for this Oil Leak issue. But just in case I still bought an Less Mess Oil Drip (Plastic) Pan to make sure that problem has been resolved. These oil drips is a minor issue and isn't a cause for concern because all the (Older Cars) have this Oil Leak issue. I talked to Chip this really nice younger guy who works for Autozone Auto Parts Store this afternoon. Chip showed me the different kinds of Oil Drip Pans that I can buy at their store. Autozone has the (round plastic drip pan), then I saw the (large rectangular drip pan) which I bought (2 quantity) one for my Honda Civic and the other one for my mom's Honda Accord Car. Then there was this other type of (oil drip pan) it was made of Aluminum that was a (wider long pan) that was really (shallow) it looked like a (baking pan). It costs too much like $30.00. I didn't want to pay very much for an Oil Drip Pan I was going to put underneath my car and my mom's car to catch these Oil Drips. I was charged for the (2 quantity) of this brand FloTool Less Mess Oil Drip (Plastic) Pans the total cost was $20.55. I had to pay the sales tax of $1.57. I charged this total cost on my Visa credit card account this afternoon. I received (excellent customer service) from Chip this Autozone employee and their prices are very reasonable. Plus Autozone has a great selection of Auto Parts and Supplies at this Oceanside Boulevard Location. read more

Ruff day wife's car wouldn't start this morning. So I see the terminal was corroded and it was having a hard time getting ground. So I jump it get the car started. Wife takes kids to school and goes to work. Car dosen't start at the end of the day. So I leave work early get the car started again she drives it home. I take the battery out head to autozone in my truck. I get there and Kevin... older dude who works there is like will I have to test it to make sure it doesn't work. I'm like dude the battery is melted look at it. He's like oh well then it's not our problem. I'm like first things first lets see if it's under warranty still. Kevin's like yes it's a year old but still the way it's melted it's something wrong with your car not the battery. I'm like so your a battery expert? He like no but I've been doing this 20 years and the only way it would melt is if there is something wrong with your car. He was right the terminal was broken. But still how the hell would he know for sure. I'm like bro..every car I've owned has never gone to the shop. I work on all my shit. Look at my account I've spent thousands in here. He still didn't care. Wouldn't swap it out. He's like maybe try another store. My Mgr is not here and won't be back till Saturday. He might do it for you but I can't I'll get introble. Im like bro your 70 years old your gonna get introble? Lol. So I'm about to leave. I stop and say no. Call another store. Get another Mgr on the phone. So he calls santa fe. Asks for a Mgr. Guy on the phone is like yeah tell him bring it over I'll swap it. So now I'm pissed. It's like 400 and my kid has basketball at 5. I would have had just enough time to make it if he swaped it and now I gotta drive across town in traffic hour. He was nice. Polite about the whole deal. But on a serious power trip. He's like sorry I just know it's a something with your car deal. I'm like no bro. It's a you deal. I leave. I'm so mad I drive to the wrong store. I'm like hey Kevin on the phone said I was coming. He's like no I don't remember that. Then I realize I'm at the melrose store. But the guy was like no problem I'll swap it for you lol. So two other stores were willing to do it. But not Kevin at the college store. And get this my name is Kevin too. Jesus dude. Thanks for wasting my time and having my daughter miss her non refundble private basketball session. Your a real hero Kevin. I hope you get a raise for holding your ground because you know how a battery works. After years think I'll just do Napa next time instead. I've never had problems there. Nor did I at any autozone up to this point. Props to both vista autozones though. You guys saved me from buying another battery from Kevin the battery Nazi. DO NOT GO TO AUTO ZONE AT 3975 MISSION AVE. IN OCEANSIDE!!!!! Sent my daughter over there to get her battery checked after I had to jump start it. Super helpful staff at this location! I came in pretty early on a Sunday morning and it was decently busy. There were two clerks working at the time, hustling and bustling to get people in and out. One of the guys greeted me as soon as I walked in ( his name was Sebastian) and asked what I needed help with. I told him I needed a new battery and he pointed me to the battery shelf where I proceeded to wait patiently as he assured that someone will be right with me. I waited for a good 6-7 minutes,which was cool because it gave me time to look around for what I wanted. He came over, asked about my car information and he looked up the type battery that would be good fit to my car. He also took out my old battery and replaced it with the new one. We discussed life and dreams as he was changing my battery and conversed as if we have been friends for a long time. His customer service was superb! The battery did not cost me a arm and leg. The quick service got me in and out without any problems. I highly suggest this location for any of your car maintenance problems and questions, especially if Sebastian is working. I was skeptical to see a national brand set up shop here thinking most Autozone's are stand alone with ample parking and thought they don't allow wrenching in the lot this would not be an option here as most spaces besides the one's directly in front are occupied by Wings Pizza & Things bar goers. You usually expect auto parts stores to be warehouses for parts, not the cases here, they have all the basics and none of that frou frou stuff you see on TV infomercials or from harbor freight. It's the old Charming Siam and part of the old WPT location. I wish they had electronic sorting of parts because it's inevitable that some jerk will tear out the page you need or it will look like Raggedy Anne doll just weeks into the new book. It's clean, bright, new and actually set up well. I have to give a shout out to Valerio for being the most helpful person I've ever dealt with at ANY auto parts store. Sure I was only going there for oil, filter, wiper blades, all of which I knew to spec. He reminded me of specials, had me in and out quickly and was just as helpful with two other customers. Bravo. Even without weekly special I used it was about 5% savings on the oil and 10% on the filter over Pep Boys and the wiper blades though not as various in higher quality blades I got a good deal. This is actually the closest auto parts store to my house and I'll be coming here for parts when I'm wrenching for sure and I'll be keeping any eye out of weekly flyers. read more

The only female who is also a manager named Dom is very knowledgeable about vehicles. I suspected my cars battery might be dead and when I described it to her she came outside, tested it and set me up with a brand new one and even installed it!. I don't know a lot about cars and she walked me through the basic maintenance and also reassured me if my battery, a check engine light, or even a brake light were to go out in my vehicle to stop by and she herself will diagnose and fix my car! I been using autozone for years, I do most my work on my vehicles myself and for friends. So I'm in often. First time I had this issue at an autozone. I had one my pads go bad that shoulda been covered under warranty but I had to buy a new set to get to and from the store after replacing. Note I bought a rotor and front brakes twice and rears from this store just recently. The manager or who ever he was franchise store owner? Asked me to return to another store cause they don't have enough cash on hand but I wanted it done with a card. It's sad that he's more concerned about his sales and not good customer service. I called to see if anyone was there that could help replace a bulb in my front headlight. Frank was super polite, he reminded me of the closing hours but that if I could get there soon someone could help, or at least look at my headlight. I got there with plenty of time before closing. Manny looked at my car and recommended a new bulb and bulb grease. He put it in and after he knew the bulb was the right one AND it worked, he added grease and I was ready to check out! The entire process was about 15 minutes, Manny was very professional and I was really happy he suggested the bulb grease! This is top notch location- Auto Zone is lucky to have such a sharp staff!! I have been to this location multiple times. The very first time I was greeted with welcoming employees and extremely helpful and friendly customer service. They signed me up for their rewards card and did everything they could to help me with my project. Unfortunately, those same employees were gone and the welcoming greeting stopped by the next time I was in. I have been in a few more times since then and today was by far the worst. The manager told me I "could not comprehend" what he was saying because he was trying to upsell me on an oil filter and I wasn't having it. They told me that instead of getting an oil change deal, I had to get the oil at FULL price and my oil filter at FULL PRICE. How about no, the oil change special is cheaper than the oil alone... so how about I take the FREE oil filter in the kit and buy an extra one on top of it since you won't let me upgrade? They spoke spanish to each other while starring at me, passed me from one employee to another and were generally either incompetent or scumbags wanting to take advantage as much as possible. I will go to O' Rielys in the future, which is much closer to me and always always always treats me like a paying customer. I may lose out on AutoZones points, but the kid that rang me up completely ignored my request to make sure I get them, so no sweat there. read more

I immediately pulled into this Auto zone location and the clerk not only helped me figure out which oil type I needed he took the time to open the oil cap, which was stuck, and poured the oil.
