This is the most efficient store by far and I live 500 miles away. Our local Verizon store gave me the wrong car charger and we desperately needed it on our trip to SF. The Livermore store was extremely helpful, understanding and welcoming getting the correct charger and sending us out the door and on our way in less than 5 mins. Promptly greeted by the store manager and handed off to some bloke who could at least explain the features of the phone widget (wireless box to cut the cord -- quite literally -- from AT&T home service). In and out in about 20 minutes, though not sure if that's merely a testament of efficiency, because I had a toddler in tow, or they were slow. I began receiving phone calls &texts for someone else's number. I went back twice & the manager told me that he had "no idea" why or how it happened, AND told me "just turn the phone off!" After having chosen a phone, charger, case .... after having given them my social, drivers license, phone number/pwd to my Sprint account ... after having to resubmit credit because the first one was placed on hold while trying to add international dialing ... after having given them my utility bill ... after trying to verify my identity through a call center asking me trick questions about a mortgage I had 8 years ago ... after trying to combine my existing iPad data plan to a new plan ... and after 1.5hrs in the store trying to move from Sprint to Verizon .... AFTER all of the above, I walked out of the store with NO PHONE, NO 2 YEAR CONTRACT, and am NOT A VERIZON CUStOMER. Interestingly, my existing data plan with Verizon was terminated in the process. Horrible customer service. My phone caught on fire today and was over charged for my bill. One phone plan not 2. Man at front named Robert had us wait an hour and rudely spoke to staff about us without helping us. Told our helper to tell us he was out of the phone that we waited for. One poor employee was suppose to be off at 6 and stayed late and Robert had the nerve to ask the young man to stay even longer. I will complain to corporate regarding this matter and treating us so poorly. No duh we have to pay off bill before buying a new phone. Never one to enjoy cell phone stores, Verizon in Livermore was a very pleasant departure. Adding phones, accounts and etc is a time consuming process, and although I didn't mention it, my time was very constrained. However, my representative, Carolyn, expedited the process as much as humanly possible and I was on my way in minutes. Other staff were also efficient, friendly and professional. Some of the customers, however, were not. I wondered to myself if I'd been transported to "Dumb Question Central" or something? Some people REALLY need to read their documentation or research online before they go to store and start attacking the staff! Seriously! Anyway, I know when I'm in the neighborhood, and need phones, I'll go back. I greatly appreciated the speed and professionalism. read more

So, let me tell you about the absolute horrific experience with Verizon. I order a phone Friday morning,(8 days ago now) I had to call their credit team they asked about an address in Nevada I haven't lived at in over 3 and a half years. I give it to them, place the order. 3 minutes later received an confirmation email stating that they are sending the cell phone to the NV address. I immediately get on the phone have a 2 hour phone conversation, saying wtf... why are you sending the phone to Nevada. I get told no problem we are changing the address right now, the phone will not by any means go to Nevada. I said ok. Saturday morning I wake up check email, and see that my phone I ordered and paid for has13th been shipped to Nevada. I call customer service upset. I explain what happened the gentleman goes omg I'm so sorry. I'm reporting the phone stolen and stopping the shipment. Then states for me to wait on the line as he was calling the Livermore location. The guy gets back on the phone and goes I have a phone waiting for you at the Livermore location you can pick it up. Then the line disconnected. I call and was placed on hold for an hour and decided to drive to Livermore. I get there and was greeted I said my name that there is a phone waiting for me. Truth be told that was another lie from Verizon. I get angry as I'm told I must have an appointment. Um, you customer service team sent me on this wild goose chase of a lie to come here to pick up a darn ghost phone. The manager who is a complete ass goes well its not my fault. Um, you are working in Verizon your customer service sent me 25 miles here, wouldn't you want to help. He then tells me to call customer service. Great dude! That's what I've been doing. There was no hey let's get you a phone, no let's make this right. The store and Verizon is a complete joke. To make a long story short Verizon has also illegally charged $591 in phones with 2 different account numbers and 2 different addresses that don't belong to me. It's been 8 days of calling and them saying they will make it right. I have no had a single promised refund. I've disputed thw charges on my card, made a report with the BBB, and made a police report with the fraud on my credit card. Seriously, what a fucking disaster this store and Verizon is. read more

The agents in there have definitely gotten better. It is still dreadfully time consuming but usually worth the inconvenience. Going to to the store is the best way to get the most competitive bundles and talk to the various agents abut different phones. What can I say, Cell Phone companies really have their customers by the balls. My cell phone has been wonky, losing connectivity and dropping calls for a year and even after multiple tech support services I just need to get a new phone. Since budget constraints are imminent I cant afford to buy a new phone at full retail so I finally went in to take advantage of my (sort of) free upgrade and was told that I will lose my current plan. I just wanted a new phone, not to change my already satisfactory plan. Turns out no current plan offers anything like what I have now and of course, what was available was a significant price increase and to rebuild my current plan would be even more costly. Since this was not acceptable in any way the young lady trying to assist me was rude and un-empethatic to my dilemma. She even had the tone that I need to take what I can get and be happy with it. How about this Verizon....you take my 20 years of customer loyalty and shove it. I know the staff wont care about this review and may extend the paycheck driven Customer Service Trained "Apology" which means nothing. I've been goin to this store for a few years. I had a bad experience with an employee. The long haired (boss) took offense to my dismay, he did not care one bit about my side just the employee which I did not care for, and he kicked me out of his store. Didn't care about my side. Just his employee. So I went to another store an got the BEST SERVICE EVER. Better price, nicer people, the boss is FANTASTIC. I should have gone there from the start. I have a similar story to jna f. My daughter washed her phone in her laundry, as we were packing for a trip, and after the trip she would be traveling back East. After unsuccessfully playing the gruff father role ("why is this MY problem?") I broke down and called this location, and spoke to Gary. He did a couple of very good things for us. First, he allowed my daughter to get a replacement phone two weeks before she was supposed to be eligible. Second, he stayed open (I spoke to him at 7:40, and they closed at 8:00) because I told him my wife and daughter were jumping in the car to zoom over there. He stayed with them well past closing to get everything right, and my daughter flies home today (sniff!) with a new happy phone. Well done. read more

My family was interested in switching carriers as our current provider had no coverage in our favorite vacation spot. I will be writing a review for the experience I will have while trying to cancel at my old carrier. Words are incapable of describing the amazing employee who helped us at this location. Amanda treated us with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. Verizon should definitely have Amanda teaching new employees how to take care of customers. To keep this short I won't go into detail on the nightmare of a time we had trying to procure our account number from our old carrier. I've given this Verizon store terrible reviews in the past because they had terrible employee and terrible service.... MUCH DIFFERENT RECENTLY 4 stars only because in the past I went on weekends (super busy and poor service), but recently I went on a weekday. Weekday is the way to go if you can! Went in because I was looking to upgrade my phone, and wanted to look at the options in person before purchasing (I was switching from Android to iPhone so I wanted to look at the models etc). I scheduled an appointment and checked in when I arrived, and was greeted within a few minutes (which is what the 1 star is for). I asked the associate to show me the iPhones and explained that I have been using a Samsung and was interested in switching over. She walked me to the display and said "here they are". I asked her if she could tell me a little bit about the differences between the 3 models, and she said "you can go online and all of the differences are listed there.". Super helpful. Then I said, well I understand the cameras on these two are the same, is that true? She said "pretty much". Basically got no information and was told to go home and look at the models online and then place my order on the website. I understand needing to order online right now, but this associate clearly could care less about helping me. read more

I have never had worse customer service. I went in three separate occasions to discuss a credit that was due to me from a previous overcharge. All three times there were NO notes made on my account and each time I was completely starting over with someone new. Extremely frustrating not being able to get my own money back. Customer Representative Amanda Silva in the Livermore Verizon store is AMAZING. I walked into the store about 20 minutes before closing and bought 2 phones with this very knowledgeable and helpful woman. It looked like she was shutting down the demonstration phones/pads/etc. and she stopped what she was doing to ask if we needed any assistance. She was extremely patient as she explained the new features on the phone and accessories. She even took her time to clean the phones and install the screen protectors. How often does someone stay late to help you and have a pleasant attitude the entire time!!! I have to admit I did see the numerous negative reviews for this store but Amanda Silva is the BEST and I highly recommend her. If all the employees were as positive as she is, this location would have excellent reviews in no time. Thank you Amanda!! read more

I bought a new phone here and was talked into purchasing a screen protector ( glass type) for an outrageous $40. I know these can be purchased on Amazon 3 for $7. The sales guy told me this one has a lifetime warranty and led to believe that I could walk in and get it changed if needed. Well, a month has gone and my protector is shattered. The lady told me I had to register the screen with the manufacturer and work with them to get the replacement.... so why is this worth 12x the cost of the Amazon screen if I don't get the service they promised? read more

Our cell phones are having problems. My battery doesn't hold a charge for more than 8 hours on standby. We took the phones in on Tuesday evening. The manager on shift that night helped us out and told us that our batteries weren't holding a charge because our software was 3 versions old. He updated the software for free and it took about 10 minutes. After we got our phones back, I asked again if he was sure that the version was the problem and in a very condescending tone told me under no uncertain terms, that it was because we were behind on the software. We had to go back the next day because *surprise surprise* my phone STILL didn't hold a charge for more than 8 hours on standby. On this visit, Anthony helped us out and he was extremely friendly and very helpful. He showed us how to do a different phone update on our phones and also ordered us each new batteries free of charge. No attitude, just very helpful and very pleasant to deal with. He was also very patient with the hundreds of questions I had about the Motorola Q smart phone and how they compared to the Palm and Blackberry smart phones... Because of Anthony, I'm giving the store 4 stars, even though the manager/supervisor (I don't remember his name, but he made it pretty obvious that he hates his job) only deserves 2 at the most. read more

5 stars for customer service provided by John. Very helpful in getting my replacement phone and answering all questions about trading in for the warranty and delivery of the new phone. In the past I've had some bad experiences with this Verizon wireless store. So when my phone started acting up I wasn't too happy to go back. The last yelp review for this location was a one star and I got a call from Verizon asking how they can improve my customer experience. I went back today to transfer my service from a phone which wasn't working well to an older iPhone which I was working in the past. The service rep told me that instead of downgrading I could get a replacement for no charge because I didn't have water damage or cracked screen and I did have a warranty. Sir that would've been super helpful and would've got me a replacement for free without any fees or hassle. Instead of getting a warrantee another associate came over looked at my phone and was able to find the problem. He noticed that many iPhone five's with charging problems are due to late in the charging port. Sorry if there's meal like to pool first out the window and now my phone works very well. I was very happy with this experience in the Verizon store and was very glad to see that their customer service has turned around 180° from where was my last visit. So I look forward to coming back and staying to Verizon customer and getting product from the store in the future. So I recently decided to give Verizon a try and, once I had my Verizon phone, I took it to this store with the AT&T phone that I had been using, in order to transfer my contacts from one phone to another (I could not use the cloud because the AT&T phone was my son's). First, they make you wait for the sake of it, maybe it makes them feel important. The fact is that the representatives were taking amongst themselves, while one other customer and I waited patiently. When somebody finally approached me and I explained what I was there for, she told me that they needed to charge me for that service, even though I am a customer. Before I switched to Verizon, I had my cell service with AT&T for many years, and changed from one phone to another many, many times. AT&T always transferred my contacts from one phone to the next as a complementary service. This store is awful and I will never come back. Furthermore I am seriously thinking that moving to Verizon was a big mistake. This is a classical case of the grass looking greener on the other side of the fence. I hope Verizon takes a serious look at this store. Judging by other comments here, they may be losing much more than just me as a customer because of the lousy service provided at this store. read more

These sales associates LIE! I purchased a HOTSPOT and signed up for 20GB per month. After 20GB it was to go to 3G. After two months of having this HOTSPOT Verizon adjusted my package to 10GB per month. I called Verizon and there was nothing they could do. I went into the store and the female associate who helped me initially was working. I explained to her what happened and she said, this never happened. She said I was making it up. Really? Like I have nothing better to do? This month Verizon now upped the plan from 10GB to 15GB. I will never trust ANYONE in this store. read more

OK, just the thought of having to go to a Verizon store pisses me off before I even enter the store, but all I wanted this time was an upgrade to the new Droid phone. So, we went in. This is the visit: 1. You are met by someone when you walk in that asks for your name and why you are in the store. This person enters this worthless info into a computer. I say worthless, because... 2. You wait for another person to come over and ask you again why you are there, then tells you that you will be helped in a few minutes because the only person in the store that wants to sell anything is busy. 3. The person that originally greeted you continues to stand at their little podium, and the person who asked you again why you are there walks over to stand behind a cash register and stares out of the front windows. You turn and see that there is another person standing near the rear of the store doing the same. In the far back is the tech support person standing behind a desk. The sales person is indeed helping another customer. 4. You wait and wait and wait. 5. Each person that is doing absolutely nothing apologizes for the wait, and then returns to doing nothing. 6. You decide that since you know what you want, you can do it online, so you leave. This took about 10 minutes! How may times has this happened to me at this location? Too many times. I am actually Yelping about a stupid Verizon store! I say, if you want to see the phones in person, go to a kiosk in a mall, then go home and order it online or over the phone. Forget this store if you can. I gave it 2 stars because the store is clean and the there is an adequate supply of oxygen inside to enable the people inside to continue to breathe. read more

I've been coming to this Verizon for about 12 years. My experience has consistently told me that Verizon with regards to its corporate protocol/promise to its customers is of the highest level(ie they make good on their philosophy, if ur eligible for an upgrade, u get the upgrade. If u had insurance on ur phone & u break urs, they'll replace it. If the free up grades they give u aren't working properly then by god they give u a free phone/iPad of the latest version.) The service from the personnel there In the past(8 yrs ago) were nice, but unknowledgeable. Had to go in last Friday and I can say that their current staff team is the best I've ever seen(nice & extremely knowledgeable), and combine that with the corporate policy/philosophy of Verizon and you end up with a Cell phone svc provider of the highest caliber. I don't write many reviews, so let this be a reflection of this Verizon's awesomeness. At the end, the sales representative/tech named Ysa was the main one that helped me & I cannot tell you enough about the level of customer courteousness, professionalism and knowledge Ysa has, it was almost as if it were his own business and that's why he cared so much to represent it well. I was on my way back to Sacramento from Hayward when I decided to stop in their store, since I couldn't find the phone i wanted anywhere in Sac. I was lucky enough their store had 1 left! So, I purchased it at the $199 rate. Four days later, go online to pay my bill and I see my $199 phone is ON SALE for $79!! WHAT?!?!? I contact Verizon via 611 and they tell me there's nothing they can do because I didn't purchase the phone online and my only option was to drive back to the store... **sigh** The customer service rep that sold me the phone (George) attached his card to my receipt. I contacted him and told him about the online sale and what Verizon told me over the phone. He put me on hold to talk to his manager and in less than 5 minutes he was back and had credited my account the difference!! Thank you George and the Livermore store for making what I thought was going to be a pain in the ass, a very easy credit return! You guys have definitely kept my business! read more

I have unfortunately had to go into this store 3 times in the past month. The first time was to upgrade a phone on my account from a 4s to 5s. Told the person exactly what I wanted - nothing more. Manager, or acting manager DJ kept pressuring us to get a 6 - more value for the money etc. NO. Then we asked to buy a black otterbox. They brought one out, put it on the new 5s and it turned out to be blue. Said we didn't want that - did they have any in the back? "No, we are out of stock, not getting anymore in". We asked does another store have one or is Verizon just not carrying the black otterbox for the iPhone 5s anymore - can you please check. "Not sure". Can you check? "Well where" - we said anywhere - can't it be shipped either to another store or to our home. "No we don't have the capability of doing that". I then asked for a specific phone # for another verizon store - DJ grabbed my phone off the counter saying "I can show you how to look that up". I grabbed my phone back and told him I was fully aware how to look it up - however they're on the computer. Don't they have access to other VZW store #'s. Answer "no, not really". WRONG ANSWER. Then a few weeks later I go in to have my sim card removed from my defective iPhone 5 and put into my now replacement phone (refurbished even though I pay insurance on it monthly). Then they "try" to delete all info from old phone. "Our WiFi sucks - won't let us do it". They showed me exactly what to do. Came home - still wouldn't allow me to delete. I returned the next day, someone else "helped" me - they still could not erase my old phone. "I don't know what is wrong - must be our WiFi. I left - fuming, again. A family member told me "turn of your iCloud" - did that - still nothing. I finally turned off "find your iPhone" and it then allowed me to delete all info from old phone. And the representatives in this Livermore Store don't know that? Ridiculous. IF you are going to sell the product learn more about it. Every time I go into this store it is something - I keep saying I'll never go back yet it is within walking distance of my work and home - convenient. I think I now need to just drive elsewhere rather than give this store the business. Numbers down? Well you created it yourself. So I've had my "new refurbished phone" for 3 days and it has dropped more calls then my original iPhone 5 ever did. Ironically I was speaking with a customer service person from VZW today and it kept dropping calls. WOW - refurbished phones - NOT SO GOOD huh? Now, they're sending out yet another replacement - I'm sure another REFURBISHED. I'm pretty over it . Verizon - pay attention. This is NOT good customer rapport/service.
