First off this store needs an upgrade. They really need better internet and POS upgrades for reliability. All the staff is wonderful. I want to say a shoutout to Assistance Manager Matt. I'll NEVER go to a Sunglass Hut or order from them online again. I placed an order with express delivery in February prior to strip out of town. Of course, they didn't arrive in time for the trip and upon our return when I tried them on I didn't like the look or fit. Guess even though they failed on delivering on time it may have been a blessing in disguise. Whelp, unfortunately the following week my father got ill and ended up passing away a few weeks later. As one can imagine, been a mess. Today we finally got around to visiting this location to exchange the glasses, which I paid $390 for and didn't want to go to waste. Zero, and I mean zero compassion from the employees here. The glasses still have the stickers and tags on them, in the sunglass holder and original box. I understand they have a 30 day return policy and I'm no one special to them. Still saddened with the lack of compassion and will happily take my business elsewhere. I simply pray that the rude lady I dealt with today never has to experience something like this in her life and learns it's ok to show compassion to others. Side note: if anyone is looking for a brand new pair of black Maui Jim's (pic below) hit me up. I promise I'll do better than Sunglass Hut. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Absolutely horrible experience - the single most horrible shopping experience I have ever had actually. I bought a pair of sunglasses from the store during the July 4 holidays when the store was very busy. I tried a pair on, and checked out quickly. That was all good. After I got home, I tried them on again and I figured the shape of the frame actually didn't look so good on my face and I already had another pair of aviator style. So I decided to return them to Sunglass Hut. However, the nightmare just got started then. When I returned them to a store very close to me, just a few days after I bought them, I was told that the pair was NOT ELIGIBLE for return because the lens were scratched and considered "damaged". What? Really? I didn't notice the scratches myself before as they were very small. But I didn't even use them yet and absolutely couldn't have damaged them. Initially I only wanted to return the pair because I didn't like them as much and didn't want to keep them, but now I was told I was basically sold a damaged pair. Although surprised by the news, I explained my situation, and was told that I should take them back to the store I bought them from. We thought maybe it was because a thorough inspection wasn't done at the time of buying because it was an extremely busy day, and if we take them back to this store things should be fine. So we picked one weekend when we had time to return the pair to the store in the Livermore Outlet. The woman, who was supposedly the manager of the store, was extremely rude to us. I calmly explained the situation to her. However, she didn't only reject our request for a return or exchange of another style; moreover, she accused me of lying about not wearing the pair before. No explanation, no empathy, nothing. Her original quotes were "it's like you are telling me you wore a pair of shoes before, but you forgot you wore them". Excuse me? Sure I would remember if I wore a pair of shoes, and sure I would know I didn't wear this pair of sunglasses beyond trying them on. Totally ridiculous accusation. I have never been treated like that ever. Shame on Sunglass Hut on treating customers this way. That was going to be my very last Sunglass Hut purchase. I will never ever shop in Sunglass Hut again. I went home and reflected on myself and I probably have way too many pairs of sunglasses anyway. read more

Awesome employees and excellent service. We went here to purchase sunglasses. Unfortunately, their system was down and they were not able to process our order, so they put our glasses on hold and we went around the outlets to shop around. When we came back, their card system was working again and we were able to purchase the items we had. They are so genuine and apologetic again, I think this Sunglasses Hut deserves our repeat business if we get more glasses. Try this store, you won't regret coming in here. read more

I was about to spend $$$$ on my daughter, but we left based on the response we received. We simply asked if they had a similar sunglasses to the pair I was wearing. Mine was purchased from Nordstrom, so I was hoping to avoid driving to the Walnut Creek Nordstrom. The sales person, or possibly the manager, was extremely rude when she responded. Customer service is extremely crucial in this field. Having a bad personality and attitude sends a negative message to the customer. If you don't love your job, I highly suggest you find a new one. read more

This review is for Josh who was the rep who helped us. Right away he welcomed us in the store even when he was helping someone else. He then came to us when his other customer left and started helping us out, trying to find the right size of the glasses I wanted. He was very knowledgeable with the glasses and gave his input with what looked nice. Also, Josh made great conversation with my boyfriend while I kept looking around, turns out, we all go to the same college! The rep Josh was such a huge help! I went in thinking I wanted Ray Bans, but as I tried a few on I quickly found myself disappointed with how they looked on me. I was ready to give up and leave when Josh approached. He introduced himself to me and was super patient as I explained which styles and colors I like. He offered plenty of options and gave his opinion every time I asked. Returning the ones I didn't like, grabbing more options and suggesting different styles- I felt like I was getting VIP customer service. Came here on a hot friday summer afternoon and was greeted immediately by Brennon. His energy just made everyone in the building so jolly and put them in the shopping mood. I already knew what I wanted and the transaction was quick and easy. I was looking for a specific pair of maui jim's that my boyfriend wanted and I wanted to surprise him for his birthday. I was not too familiar with the brand but Brennon answered any questions or concerns I had. I came back the same sunday with my boyfriend to check out some more glasses since he didn't know I bought the maui jim's for him. I pulled Brennon aside and let him know that the pair I bought Friday was a surprise and that my boyfriend had no idea. He did a great job and played along. His staff almost ruined the surprise, but I was quick to change the subject and get out of the store before he knew. Overall I would definitely be coming back next season to grab the latest sunglasses. If you ever are hesitant, come see Brennon! Kind of frustrated. I found a pair of glasses that I loved, but they were the last in stock. They cleaned them up for me, and I decided to purchase them. After we purchased, they removed the tag from them, and it pulled the paint off. They tried to re-order them, but we then lost our loyalty discount, because it had already been used and we "may" have to pay shipping charges. They were going to get in touch with us early the next week once they found them elsewhere, but haven't called and it's been 2 weeks. They tried like crazy to help us, but for some reason the Manager isn't empowered to fix problems, and we all spent about 2 hours trying to resolve the issue. They gave us a lens cleaning kit to make up for losing our discount, but they actually subtracted that from the gift card they reimbursed us with. I took the card, ordered them online, and paid nothing for shipping. I think I'll go back to the Stoneridge store if I want to shop in person. read more

Stopped by here twice within 3 days.. My first visit was pleasurable.. I walked in holding my 2lb pomeranian, Josh or Joseph I think his name is? told me they were very dog friendly and I could put my dog on the floor-thanks! As I was browsing he offered to "polish" the Versace shades that were on my face-thanks again!! I asked if he could also tighten the screws-no problem! Awesome! After all, I did buy them at a Sungless Hut and they're big on standing by their products.. The second visit was not-so-pleasurable.. I was actually in there to make a purchase or two. Not sure what the guy's name is? But asking him for help was like trying to dance around a cactus... bummer! I asked him SEVERAL times for the cloth so I could wipe & clean the glasses I was interested in purchasing.. he would not cough up the cloth, insisting each time that HE handle the cloth and clean the glasses... that was fine until he started wiping down the wrong sunglasses, and then I noticed he wasn't doing the work as I would have done.. Do these guys get commission? If so, I failed at my civic duty by giving business to the wrong sales person.. :-/ Sorry Joseph! read more

Don't be fooled by this location being in the outlet mall; they have a lot of high end brands and a quality selection of sunglasses. I bought a pair of glasses and had some issues with them soon after. I needed to exchange the pair I had just purchased for an exact pair. I called every location closer to where I live to no avail and I finally decided to call the Livermore location even though I knew I had just bought the last pair. Brian, the store manager was so helpful and accommodating. Other locations directed me to just call other locations to check inventory. Brian checked the data base, checked his store and was not able to find a pair for me. He took down my information and told me he'd call around and try to hunt down a pair. In a few days he called me back and had a pair being sent from another location and kept them on hold for me when they arrived in Livermore. I was able to swap the damaged pair for the new ones without any trouble. A + service from a big box chain store is refreshing- thank you to Brian for making my shopping experience a positive one. read more
