All good so far: Called corporate was told that they should help me, but because they are an authorized reseller as a franchisee they have an option of not doing this service. Even that wouldn't have led me to write this review, because rules are rules. Policy is policy, this review is specifically by a gentleman by the name of Josh. Spoke to me very condescendingly, and made sure in front of my kids to embarrass me. I was having a good day, and I hope you are I hope that the owners of this franchise take a good look at the people that are working for him for her, and do a little bit more and making sure the customer service is a priority. I just wanted to return something I bought online. I had to wait 20 minutes to talk to someone, only to find out they're just an authorized reseller and that I'd have to go to the corporate store. Don't bother with this location. Go to the corporate store at the Marketplace. Right when I entered the store, I was able to speak with someone and they completed my return right away. This store is an absolute waste of time. I truly recommend avoiding this store at all costs. Their staff is completely incompetent. Simple acts that I assume they handle everyday seem to be too much for them. After being in the store for over an hour and a half they still were unable to get the basic setup I needed. He told us that we could cancel the internet within the first month if we didn't like it. Turns out you have to keep it activated for 6 months. Finally I cancel the total service when to the store to returned the WiFi box and they did not accept to do that.They say they will send me the return box, in 10 days, well they did I Not . Now I received email that Verizon will charge me $200 because I did not returned the box. I had a few issues with my plan that a former employee had set up. Evan, one of the in-store sales reps, efficiently helped me resolve them. He even took the extra effort and got me in touch with a Verizon customer service supervisor over the phone for the things that he couldn't adjust and that was out of his control. I really appreciated that! He also connected me to the store manager, Josh after I noticed a few items that I thought were unfairly charged by the former employee. He not only reversed the charges without hesitation but also looked over my bill to make sure everything was accurate. He was also very knowledgeable and friendly as well! I feel like it's just hard to receive good service anywhere these days so it's really nice to run into people that care. I came here on Wednesday 21st 2022, around 6pm When I came in I saw the two employees busy with customers so I decided to keep myself busy until they finished, anyhow about 10-15 minutes passed and they were still busy with there customers, by that time the whole store got full of customers. There was this employee tall dark man, who kept asking if you need help, but would say it in a yelling matter. I don't need an employee to be yelling at me, not a good way to approach a customer. Then I saw a lady and her daughter asking for help he told them he couldn't help them to call customer service, same way yelling at them. I noticed the lady raised her voice back at him. All I'm saying is if you get stressed out working at a phone store you don't know what stress is, and if you can't handle the pressure/ emotion I don't think that job is for you. read more

When they tell or show you a promotion for something free, remember nothing is ever for free. Went in because my wife's SIM card died which they fixed for $10. That wasn't a problem. The problem was that shortly after I left the store I received a message from Verizon thanking me for signing up for a $25 monthly service plan that I didn't sign up for. Then my daughter received a text from the store claiming that my wife is currently in the store and wanted to know if my daughter wanted to add anything to the plan. I had to go through Verizon directly to get the service plan removed. Verizon claims that the store is independently owned and is just a reseller and there is nothing Verizon can do about their actions. read more

Verizon is proving to be outright scammers. Three weeks ago, I decided to try Verizon's home internet. In the Verizon store in Woodbury town center , they told me that I had a 30-day trial period, and if I didn't like it, I could simply return the routers and cancel the subscription. That sounded simple! But not at all! With Verizon, it's like the mafia: easier to get in than get out. I received the routers in boxes, and after a week, I decided to return them to the same place where I got them. In the store, they told me they don't accept returns and that I had to mail them to an address that would be sent to me later via email. Okay. I asked them to cancel my trial subscription, to which the employee said that I had to do it myself by calling customer support. (Strange when a consultant refuses to provide a service and tells you to sort it out yourself.) I hung on the phone for about 40 minutes because every couple of sentences, they asked me to hold the line. In the end, the subscription was canceled. Imagine my surprise when a week later, I was charged $140 for home internet that I never even connected and kept the routers in the boxes. In search of more competent staff, I went to the Verizon store in the Orchards Centre, where I was forced to spend another hour of my time so that the consultant could finally get the refund approved over the phone with customer support. Support operators deliberately make up fantastical stories just to wear you out so that you give up. Two operators outright refused to pursue my interests as a customer, claiming that it was impossible to refund my money. Then the Verizon store employee asked to speak with a supervisor, as it was unbearable to listen to this incompetent nonsense any longer. Eventually, the third operator confirmed that I was right and acknowledged Verizon's mistake. As a result of this situation, I have an unshakeable feeling that Verizon deliberately misleads customers to subsequently profit from them dishonestly. It's a shame that such a large company disregards its reputation and is digging its own grave. I plan to discontinue using Verizon as a mobile operator, which is currently used by four members of my family. read more

The criteria for a 1-star rating according to Yelp is "Not good." Welp, there needs to be a category for Atrocious or Horrible, as that was my experience. At best and by the fairest of reviews, they are neglectful, which is not acceptable considering the price of the phones and the monthly subscription revenues that Verizon enjoys from customers. The reps here all talk a good game, but do not walk the walk. I purchased a brand new iPhone, and they were great at taking my money. But after that, it's been 1 issue after another with switching plans, finding the best deal, issues with trade-in, etc. - all of which they will exacerbated and frankly caused. I have been ignored after leaving multiple phone messages and going directly into the store, with no resolution. Between Verizon phone support and this retail store, I think I gained 100 new gray hairs. Word of advice: If you must stick with Verizon, do not go to this retail store. Better yet, go to a smaller competitor or any other telecom company that isn't as big (and unorganized) as Verizon. read more

Don't waste your time here. Shasha is the only staff member with nice customer service. Otherwise everything was a waste of time and you'll interact with incompetent rude staff especially Franco. I came in with an appointment to get the new iphone14. I expected it to be a fairly efficient process. It took THREE different visits to complete the process (get the phone and complete transfers. They kept having issues transferring my data). I was told the same as another review about HAVING to buy the $200+ bundle for 3 accessories. I asked repeatedly why and if this is a requirement. I was told it's a setup fee etc. my setup took 3 visits.. horrible!!! Then I came in because we were billed the first month incorrectly. We were not billed what we were told. When purchasing the phone we asked for every charge and we're told we would end up paying less than current bill. I spoke with Franco. He has horrible communication skills and was clearly refreshing his phone for sports updates as he was talking to me. I was there TWENTY mins to just correct our bill. I wanted an itemized list of what we were charged and he couldn't even do this. He kept repeating the discounts from our bill when I wanted to know an itemized total that got us to this higher bill. I was told "I already told you" "I can just turn the computer around. Is that what you want?" 20 minutes of this crap. When I told the other staff member how rude he was being, he said "I haven't heard anything rude" and he carried on with someone else. This was the worst customer experience. - 3 sessions to get a new phone - charged $200+ for a setup bundle - billed the incorrect amount - no transparency- I was not told my $800 off trade in credit "should" activate next month. So the first month I was billed in full and never told this. - went in to correct bill and ask for my expected nov bill and faced 20 mins of a guy who shouldn't even get paid to talk to people the way he did. DO NOT COME HERE My family and I came in to trade-in our phones for the $800 credit deal that was going on, 4 of us total. We were able to trade-in our phones but the gentleman working (Tall, skinny white man with black curly hair and facial hair) told us that under fine print, we're required to purchase a phone case and charger with each phone. We thought that was weird but didn't question it at the time since we had already been waiting for over an hour. Turns out that he's a shady LIAR. My friend went into a corporate Verizon store and they said that the bundle is not a requirement, just an offer. In total, we spent over $400 on just the stupid bundles when we didn't have to. I came here to switch from AT&T to Verizon. I was promised a total of $700 in rebates and if I traded in my Samsung S20 for an S21 there would be no additional monthly charge for the new phone. We also upgraded my wife's Iphone 8 plus for the new 13 plus for an additional $25/month. Now that I have received the Verizon bill, this is what I got; no rebates, $33/month for my "free" S21 and $45/month for the Iphone. So a monthly bill that was supposed to be around $210 is now OVER $300!!! I called Verizon, and after 45 minutes, I was promised everything would be taken care of. It was not. Oh, and the teachers discount was never included. Now I am currently on the phone with Verizon again; this time it's been about 1 1/2 hours and the are telling me that I probably will not get the credits I was promised, but they MAY be able to take care of SOME of the overcharges. read more

An extra service was added on my bill that took me an additional hour to resolve. There are a number of reviews here with similar experience of additional charges/services being added. So... the majority of the rating for this place is either 5 stars or a 1 star rating. I've came here 3 or 4 times and I understand why the ratings are so bipolar. Some of the store representatives are very unfriendly and clueless while others are very good and helpful. In my experience, Jae was the most helpful and seemed to have the most experience. Also, they don't have a big inventory. So if you are looking for a particular phone/color, there is a good chance that the store will not carry that item. I guess it's not a huge issue because most people buy their phones online and just bring it to the store to activate it :) read more
