Is there a -5 stars? I would have to say not one person in this store could figure out how to port a sprint number to verizon. Sure it's difficult, but am I the FIRST? person to ask this? Apparently, the answer is YES!! Mystification x10000.. Here are the facts and you decide: I bought an iphone 6 on Friday. Store was crazy on black friday, they didn't have the phone but it got delivered on saturday. I call to activate it and 3 verizon reps could not help me to figure out how to activate it and the last rep i spoke to gave me a shitty but albeit honest answer.... I have no idea why we cannot activiate your phone. Next day I go into the store and of course I want to speak to a manager but no this girl wanted to help me and I gave her a warning, you are the 4th person I'm going to speak to so are you SURE you know what you're doing? 2.5 hours later, no she doesn't. She's on the phone with verizon and even they can't figure it out. After 2.5 hours they say OH!!! Sprint has your phone scheduled to be released tomorrow.. so you can use your brand new iphone starting tomorrow! I leave the store, try to make a call and low and behold, ***Disclaimer*** my SPRINT phone DOESNT EVEN WORK!. So either sprint cut off my service coincidentally the same time verizon reps are trying to activate my iphone or.. verizon fucked up. I'm leaning more towards Verizon fucked up although they won't ever fess up to it. Facts are facts, the phone was working PERFECTLY fine until after 2 hours on the phone with verizon in the store, now my sprint phone doesn't work. YUPI am paying for 2 services and not having either phone work. It's the worst possible outcome you can ever imagine ever. The store manager adam "graciously" gave me a flip phone and credited me 15 bucks to my account. He hooked me up because the credit should have been 13 bucks but they felt bad for me waiting 3 1/2 FUCKING HOURS IN THE STORE! they are giving 2 extra dollars. I am not trying to get a free flip phone, i want to use my 650 dollar IPHONE. I have never had this kind of disaster with Sprint or ANY other service. I am deeply regretting being locked in with Verizon at this point. I literally had to work with 7 reps for Verizon and have yet to use my Iphone 6. What has happened is that I am now using this super shitty flip phone, and can't use my android nor iphone. Supposedly the phone should be working tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath. Instead i'm holding my shitty flip phone waiting to dial their store number to tell them I want a full refund and am asking them for directions to the nearest ATT store. Entered the store at 11:00 left the store at 2:35 read more

Had to wait a little since I went during a busy time. But apart from that very nice staff!

This review is actually for the Kahala Mall outlet. There's probably a reason they don't have a site up. Worst customer service ever! Now I have to go to the Keeaumoku store. Pt 2 get to the keeaumoku store and now they tell me in order for them to test my phone it needs to be50% charged. Which they failed to inform me of, but should have. Now I have to make another trip. Whatever happened to Customer Service? Just give Megan new battery. read more

I went into the store to get some one on one help with an issue I was having. After a very long wait, a girl came to me to help. She was friendly and basically said there wasn't much she could do, that I couldnt do myself. That was fine. She showed me how I can do it online next time. Then my phone bill comes in, and apparently she charged me $15 for her 'convenience.' She never made mention of it, and to think she was looking at me as she applied the fee is aggravating. From now on I recommend you ask 2 very important questions, 1) Am I going to be Charged anything for this? 2) What is your name? In addition to this, I've noticed that my phone bill has been slowly increasing by small increments. Literally every few months, Verizon Wireless has been 'nickel and diming' me. Ever since I started auto pay with my new phone 2 years ago they've been slowly siphoning more money out of my account. Watch your statements! I did, but just forgot to call until this happened. read more

Although the convenience of the store being open late is a plus...the customer service sucks! Went in to pay a bill and went to the machine to pay, the options popped up with only cash, and gift cards. When we stopped a sales person walking by to ask how come the credit/debit card option isn't on there, he said OUT LOUD, "Oh you must've not payed on time 3 times or more, the machine only accepts cash if your late on your payment", mind you the store was crowded and people looked at us! OMG, 1st off, we haven't missed any damn payments! Second, after the guy walks away we see a flashing note on the screen "credit card reader not working"! We ended up using the other machine, but how rude was the customer service, he didn't even look at the machine but instead made the assumption that we didn't pay the bill on time. What complete and utter bull, never going back there. read more

Why is giving negative stars not an option on here !? The best tip I can provide would be to never do any type of business with this location. Hands down the worst customer experience I have ever encountered. The employees are unhelpful and unknowledgeable. No one will lift a finger to step out of the way to help you. Blankly staring around or at their tablets is more important. No one could help with me any simple questions I had, or an upgrade I was eligible for over the course of TWO DAYS i tried with these bafoons in this store. I was given a difference answer from everyone. No one knew the correct information. And newsflash to you mr. Verizon doorman.... You're just a doorman. Maybe you should check your unhelpful attitude at it. I had a 930 appointment two days in a row. Not one employee approached me after being "checked-in" with the oh so famous "doorman" until about 10:15. Why have an appointment then!? Save yourself the time and stress. Go directly to Apple like I did finally which I should have done in the first place. Instead of paying for store renovations maybe the upper management should spend some money on customer service training for their employees. I will never return to this store. read more

Worst service ever!!!! ID GIVE ZERO stars if I could!!!! Went with my mother who is 81 years old, we been there for over 4 hours 1 time and still couldn't get the phone that I order. Went back the next day and was there for another 3 hours! I asked to talk to the manger after my ordeal was over and waited another 30+ minutes to talk to him but he never came over to talk to us. the Employee just stated " Sorry there is nothing we can do at this point". WHAT B.S.!!!! * Then there's all the countless hours talking to customer service about them sending me the wrong phone and more my headaches with VERIZON still continue to this day. I've had problems with Verizon customer services since December 23, 2017 read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS VERIZON LOCATION EVER! DONT GET MICHAEL!! ZERO PEOPLE SKILLS, ZERO SALES SKILLS, ZERO PRODUCT KNOWLEGDE! ZERO OWNERSHIP SKILLS! HE DIDNT SET UP MY NEW IPHONE 5s NOR TRANSFER ANY CONTACTS OR ANYTHING! Called the next day because they didn't answer the phone during their last 14 minutes of being open. Contacted a Verizon back office tech who was amazing! Called the next day and was helped by Gabby. She was not HELPFUL AT ALL, JUST PACIFIED ME. When my husband had to go back the whole staff was rude and did not want to help him. They said Gabby has to help you but she's busy. The only person who did their job and helped was Jaime. I TOLD GABBY I WANT TO FILE A COMPLAINT ABOUT MICHAEL. She said she'd let management know and will address Michael but I doubt it. I will NEVER recommend this location to anyone zero stars here. read more

Verizon - This one is for the Verizon location down on Kapiolani Blvd. Hey Gabby - Mobile Phones Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

This company, in my opinion has terrible customer service when it comes to customers paying their bills in person. I went to this particular location planning to pay my bill with the exact change, only to realize that their bill payer machine does not accept change. So I ended up going to what I thought was customer service desk. I asked the man behind the counter if I could pay my bill. He told me I have to pay at the bill paying machine. I told him that I only have the exact change. He replied to me that if I put an extra dollar inside the machine instead of my loose change it would be okay. I know its just a dollar but I told him I don't have an extra dollar. He ended up telling me that he would accept my bill payment this time, but next time I will have to use the bill paying machine. He made it sound like he was doing me the favor by accepting my bill payment. We will be switching to another wireless company when our contract ends due to poor customer service. There are other wireless companies with better customer service than Verizon Wireless. read more

Every time I come into this Verizon the wait is ALWAYS 20 min or longer. After a long day of work and having my brand new note 3 phone not charging for 3 days having to wait another 20 min doesn't seem like a long time but I'm already exhausted and waiting 20 min at Verizon when I just want to get home isn't ideal. Besides that it always seems like people are just chit chatting instead of helping people and moving onto the next person. Aside from that, the lights are so bright in here whenever I come in I get a huge headache and feel like throwing up. It's been 40 min now. All I need is a new chord for my charger. The only reason I even gave them 3 stars is because everyone is actually really nice in here. read more

It seems that Annie and the staff at Verizon care more about getting people from competitors to switch rather than keeping customers that have been loyal to the company for 8 years. They spent the entire time telling me how their plans are set up to draw in people and there's nothing they can do to help us to lower our plan costs. The advertisement says they give 20gb and 4 lines for $160. I have 3 lines and 10gbs and I pay over $230. What's messed up is when I set up a new plan 2 years ago they gave me the opposite recommendation as they do now to help reduce costs and because of that it increased my monthly costs. Only new customers get deals on plans but once they've got you don't expect any decent customer service. I am very disappointed that I've wasted 45 minutes just to get excuses on how there's nothing they can do for long time customers... Another thing that made me question the company is that they are not very transparent in what charges they are incurring. While using the Verizon app to update our account they give us offers but once we try to apply the offers the prices change (increased of course) without any explanation of what the charges are. I don't feel comfortable working with a company who uses a bait and switch tactic on its customers. Maybe it's worth the 1% difference in network if I don't feel cheated. read more

Service was mediocre at best. Tried to upgrade my phone and renew 2 year contract. I've been a long time customer of Verizon and have a good rate plan. Service personnel didn't seem interested in assisting with negotiating a new contract. I went home called Verizon and received a good price on a new 2 year contract. This is my favorite Verizon to visit when I need to ask about billing, accessories and anything to do with my phone. The service for me has been outstanding. I know from some of the reviews here some haven't been to happy about it. Maybe they should go to the Kahala Mall Verizon to see what bad service is about! Read my review on them! Maybe it's the time I usually visit, after 2pm or on weekends but they never seem to fail me. From the moment I stop in I'm greeted and my name is added to the list for consultation. If I'm just looking for an accessory like I was doing the other day, I'm brought to the wall with the tons of cases and screen protectors. I happened to crack the tempered glass screen protector on my iPhone 6 Plus and the girl was quick to help me. She went in the back of the store and brought back a new glass and after I said I'd take it offered to put it on for me. She was back in a flash and my phone was back in top shape. I also inquired about a new case and she showed me the variety that they had and even took some out of the box so I could examine them better. The Kapiolani Verizon has never failed me yet in the service department and easily one of the reasons I don't even think about venturing to another brand. read more

I'm rating the store 2-stars mainly for the customer experience. I went inside to order an upgraded phone. I didn't realize I'd made a faux-pas by asking a clerk a question before "checking in". There's a little kiosk at the entrance that you have to "check in" before a clerk can help you. It's very easy to miss but thankfully there weren't that many people in the store. However, while I was waiting for my turn to be helped, I noticed more than a few people in the store sitting around waiting for their turn to be helped. While most of the staff seemed engaged in helping people, there were a few in the back corner standing behind some stations, apparently doing nothing - they weren't talking to customers on the phone or in person. I'm sure they were busy but it looked like they weren't doing anything while the store had customers waiting. It just left a bad impression. But after waiting about 15 minutes, I left the store. The clerks were still with the same customers when I walked in and I didn't want to be waiting yet another 15-20 minutes for my turn. I just ended up upgrading my phone by going online. It was easier that way. P.S. While I was looking at the phone I wanted to upgrade to, I overheard one of the clerks badmouth it while speaking to another customer. I understand they wanted to make a bigger sale but that just added to overall poor impression of the place. read more

I went in yesterday to upgrade my iphone 4s to the 5s and it wasn't as painful as I thought. Normally I HATE upgrading my phone because something always, always, always goes wrong. AND I was dreading to upgrade my phone because I had a grandfathered unlimited data plan and didn't want to lose it! PLUS, I previously went in a couple of months ago to help my mom upgrade her phone and the lady who helped us neglected to tell us that she would lose her unlimited data plan! My mom went down to a 2 GB data plan without being told and that's a BIG BOMB to NOT tell someone about. Hence ALL of the other angry yelp reviews. Let me tell you, lesson learned! BE INFORMED before upgrading.. After waiting 15 minutes, one of the employees helped me and listened to what I wanted. He did try to sell/push a "package" deal that included a fitbit, car charger, screen, protector and case for $170. Regardless, this was the best experience I have had yet at a Verizon store. I think it all depends on who helps you. Cross your fingers that you get a good employee I guess... (Make sure you get enough validation.. after spending over $450 they shorted me on the validation stickers..so I still had to pay to get out of the garage..) read more

First off, is this a Verizon Wireless store or a modeling agency? The women who work here are gorgeous! They just remodeled the store and it looks amazing. The store is neatly organized into sections. The new design is very clean and modern. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I went into the fit section and bought a fitbit force! Despite mediocre reviews on amazon, I love it!!!! This location has really great costumer service. The staff is extremely friendly, they even handed me a cup of water when I popped in during a run! I recommend this place. I still love my fitbit force... 15k steps on average ;) read more

I can't believe they hired such idiots at the Kahala Mall Verizon. I went there to trouble shoot why there was no net work connection. Greeted at the door by a represented and was told there were three people a head of me and it was going to be a 30 to 45 minuted wait. I counted 4 employees plus the verizon greeter making for a total of 5 employees just standing around not doing a thing because the store had no customers. I told the greeter why can't some one services us because there were no other customers in the store and I could see 4 employees that were just standing around not doing a thing. Her reply was sorry but that's our store policy. And so I left and returned 30 minutes later. When I returned there was only one customer in the store and still 4 employees standing around not doing anything. The greeter then says we called you but you did not answer. We went in for my phone upgrade, and were assisted by Sean. He is an amazing representative for Verizon! Super knowledgeable, and friendly person. We ended up shopping for more than just my phone (we'd had our eye on a few things), and it was a lot of fun doing so with Sean to help us. It is so refreshing to be helped by a crew who has product knowledge. We brought home a phone, 4 other electronics, AND a discount on our phone bill (after learning we get one for working for a certain company). Our wait wasn't too long, and everyone in the store was very nice. We were greeted upon entry by 2 or 3 guys, and thanked with the door held open for us when we left. This location is great! read more

The husband and I walked in on New Years Eve to get phone lines with the new iPhones we just bought at Apple. We were greeted and got help right away. Our salesperson, Danielle, was very helpful and friendly; we had a hiccup with setting up the phone lines since we were doing separate area codes but she made it happen. She also helped us out with setting up screen protectors and a Lifeproof case for my husband since he has a tendency to drop his phone. Since it had been almost 3 years simce we had Verizon (we were living overseas), she also refreshed our memories for the MyVerizon app and online page for when we need to adjust our plans, etc. Excellent service throughout! read more

The people there are very helpful and friendly. They took the time to explain to me the features of my new Iphone (my BD present, I might add!) . This is the third time I have used that store and it has been consistent in it's customer service. From the moment we walked through the door the girl who helped us just stared, no warm welcome. Ok. Then we tell her we are looking to replace my grandma's phone, to which she says "we don't do that". Oh okay. She tries to check for insurance but I am not an authorized account manager. She doesn't say anything past that so I ask her how to become an authorized user. I give my dad a call but he's at work, he wants to talk to her and then he recommends we just buy my grandma a new phone with similar specs and asks what the cheapest phone is. To which the sales person responds with sass "what do you mean. We have different phones here". So we explain again that we are looking for a phone (which we brought in and already showed her, a Samsung galaxy s8+) but I show her again. She goes "well our cheapest phone is a flip phone" matter of factly. That's wonderful but you know that's not what we're talking about. So I clarify again "what's the cheapest smartphone you have?" She goes "we have different phones. iPhone? Android?" And I'm pretty sure iPhones are in the higher price range so I just repeat again "what is the cheapest smartphone you have?" Then she says it's the android but by this point the service has been so disappointing and disgusting that we all decided never mind. It's not even worth it. Thank you to the salesperson (bigger local girl with long wavy/curly hair) for giving attitude and acting unprofessional. We have been with verizon for years but the service has definitely dropped. We bought our iPhones from this VZW store only because Windward mall was out. Ninh, our 'Solutions Consultant' created this elaborate artwork/flowchart to CLARIFY what our plan would cost. I asked him how much for the phones? He said one was $300 and the other $400. Upon checking out, the actual Out The Door price for the phones was $750 and $850. I explained to him that we were buying the phones, but that we weren't stupid and I didn't appreciate being treated as if we were. Best place to buy VZW plans or phones are the staff at Windward Mall. PS Our iPhone 6 blacked out completely upon returning home. Called corporate and they allowed us to exchange it at Windward Mall VZW. read more

I have been going to this particular Verizon Wireless store for many years. Not only is the service excellent, but I always come to see one particular sales representative that always knows exactly what kind of phone or tablet both my father and I need. Jamil knows everything about my family when it come to our needs for a wireless device. That's why I always come for him. I get in, he lets me know what the new devices are and what is best for my dad and I and he's always trying to make us happy every visit (which he does a great job). This is also the only Verizon store I go to for technical support because Jamil does a great job with that as well. Me and my girlfriend switched our carrier from AT&T. Honestly we felt we were going to get a better deal and greater service. What we got was lied to. Sales staff failed to inform us of the buy out options would only apply to one account. Secondly that the buy out would provide us the opportunity to buy one phone get one free. This is a lie as well based on the price of the phone. Sales staff are not well informed or simply just lie to make the sell. VERIZON cares about the money and not the integrity of its employees. Well better than Sprint but still one of the worst services out there. spend $800 on an iPad and unfortunately dropped it and discovered they don't put insurance on the iPads. Then called Mac and they won't garantee their product Then call around looking for the screen to replace it and discover that too is not an option. Since your unable to do anything with a defective iPad we rarely activate the service. they also do not have an unlimited service option. They charge for everything, for 3 phones over $200 and we are dealing with simply unlimited text and calling and 300mb of data and only 1 smart phone, not worth the money for such lowsy service read more

I've experienced the worst service I could ever get from one company. I cancelled my service with Verizon back in July 2020 and Verizon cut my service off before they should have and overcharged me. I tried reaching out to them several times but always had to go through an automated process only to be hung up on. I disputed the charge on my credit card and Verizon sent my last bill to collections! They blamed me for it and said I should have called them about it. I've spoken to the manager at this location, I've contacted the Better Business Bureau about them and the Federal Trade Commission as well. I'm looking into what I can do legally to them but this review is to warn anyone that may be thinking about getting Verizon Service. On top of it their service is slow. They put their service in a tier system and if you don't pay the premium forget about watching any videos without it freezing up. Verizon is responsible for the removal of net neutrality as well. Outstanding customer service and all around best experience at Verizon! Sean was very knowledgeable, which we were extremely grateful for; he explained things in detail and really looked into our account to assist us. Wish we stopped in sooner, we walked away saving on our monthly plan by switching and with two new phones. A few months back we tried to upgrade, but were not happy with how the new plans and phone purchases changed from years before. We even looked to other carries such as AT&T, due to an employee discount. Needless to say due to Sean's 'above and beyond' service we decided to stay with Verizon. We have been with Verizon for over 15 years! I got a phone that had a promotion saying turn in your own phone and get the new phone+ pay activation fee + but get 200$ rebate. So they fucked up. They forgot to give me my 200$ rebate and only gave me 10$ for turning in the old phone. So i went in again saying where is my rest of the money? They said theyll let the manager know the next day, since manager went home already, and itll go into my next bill, so ill pay less. Okay then. The next billing cycle came and it didnt show the minus 190. So i went in again. Turns out they forgot. So they said itll be the next bill again. What the fuck. The next billing cycle came and still nothing!!!!!!!!! So i went in again asking for the manager. Turns out they made a mistake. I dont know what it was or if they forgot again, but when they were explaining the situation, they made it seem like it was the "computers fault" and they didnt even apologize or take the blame. The next billing cycle came. And guess what? Nothing. So I called the mainland customer service number. He realized that there was a problem, and he couldn't do it himself because the store that i did the promotion at has to do it. So he was nice enough to say he'll threeway phone call with me to this verizon and see if they can do it right away over the phone. First my thought was, wait if it can be done right away over the phone, why did I always wait till my billing cycle ends? But i didnt ask since the mainland guy was being helpful. So the verizon store, someone answers. And the mainland guy told him the whole situation but he said, im sorry i cant help over the phone because i have a customer. But if she can come over to our store. Our manager can help since hes in today. Anyways the call didnt help much but the mainland guy said to call him back if they(kapiolani verizon people) were unsuccessful at helping me. So 5 stars to that guy, too bad I couldnt get his name. Now im about to go in their store for the 5th time. About the same issue, that happened 4 months ago. Kapiolani workers are terrible service in person/on call. They forget to give me my money for 4 months. And never apolgized. I only went to their store cause i moved to town from PC. But being a verizon user for 6 years, I never was unsatisfied by the service at verison at highlands. I rather drive in traffic than go here again After this issue is fixed If this issue is ever fixed. *EDIT***** after i did this review above, i got an email right away from the manager at the store to help. He successful helped over the phone and I didnt have to go in for the 5th time about the same issue. which made me really happy (: however i still gave it a 3 stars because it did take 4 months to fix a problem they made. And each time I went to the store to see if they can fix it, they tell me to wait until the next billing cycle!? Which i really didnt understand why I had to wait. But Im glad all is good now, thanks to Jeff the manager and the mainland customer service rep (: read more
