In VZ stores when you bring your own phone, because the employees make NO MONEY on BYOD, the response will be either a happy greeting and I am going to try and help you, or I am going to seem like I want you to FAIL. In this case, the negative, questioning, "well most likely you can't use that phone," efforts by both the employee and the manager, David just put us off. Evidently the phone we received as a gift was locked by a carrier "and COULD NOT BE USED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!" This is ridiculous as I have heard of cases where this has been cleared up, but these folks are just not helpful. I wish we would have gone to the Queen Creek or Desert Ridge store as I have always been treated like the 38 year customer I am. read more

Gentleman working asked us what we need help with, put us in queue, and told us it would be about 15 minutes. After 40 minutes and them helping other people that got there after us, he came to apologize and let us know we could call Verizon ourselves to take care of everything we needed to and they wouldn't have been able to help us anyways unless we called them. If that's the case, he could have told us that as soon as we walked in and told them what we wanted to do. We waited 40 minutes for him to tell us to call customer service. read more

We came in Friday to ask some questions about upgrading a couple of my kids phones. James not only greeted us right away he helped us with so many things. He let us know of some ways to save money, asked how we liked our new WiFi plan we'd set up and offered us some other things he thought we may like to take advantage of. When one of my kids struggled with his set up of his new phone he made sure we left confident on how to handle the rest of the transfer because we didn't want to sit and wait to finish it there. Management was also great and when James had to go to lunch someone just as great took over. I wish o could remember their name. I will say this was some of the best service I've had at Verizon. Even stayed after his shift to make sure all tasks were complete. This high level of customer service is precisely why we chose to move to Verizon. I came into the store to resolve a billing and trade in issue that had been going on for over 2 months. Ashton and Jared helped me. They were able to resolve an issue that over 7 phone calls to the 1-800 number over the course of 2 months couldn't figure out. They're awesome. I'm sure this store isn't all that bad, I'm simply writing this out of amusement, I came in today (had to go to three different stores in order to get what I was asking for) it felt like nobody knew what they were doing, asking each other for help or calling higher ups for help. I feel like stores in this manner don't care about their consumers and it's strictly about making money for them. A gentleman came in and was having a hard time understanding how his phone wasn't paid off from a pervious trade in (since he had a high bill) I simply explained to him how things work service vs how much actually goes towards paying the phone off. This is common sense and I feel a lot of places don't explain things in a way that everybody can understand, feels like a power move. Because this gentleman decided it wasn't a smart financial move for himself they refused me service, it was honestly hilariously petty, they would have made this man struggle financially just to put money in their own pocket. Went in to order the new iPhone 14 Pro Max, and just had a couple questions for them. Basically, I still owe $200 on my current phone(12 Pro Max) and had a question about trade in/payoff. When I upgraded from the 11 PM, I still owed like $100 on it, so I just did the trade in and they removed the $100 from the trade in value. So I asked him if that was still possible(trade in credit on my phone is $800, but since I owe $200 still, I would get $600 trade in). He said no, that in order to trade in the device for credit towards the new one that'd I'd have to pay the device off first. Which is completely fine. So I said "gotcha, that's fine." Then he said "Alright, thanks for coming in! Have a good day." But I was literally there to order the new iPhone 14 Pro Max 512GB... I guess their commission model isn't enough anymore to go through the "hassle" of ordering a new phone for someone? I guess I'll just do it online, but figured since I was there, I'll just order it. But the entire time the guy was super dismissive, had an AirPod in, and didn't really care. This is coming from a previous Verizon and Best Buy employee. I literally still have the employee discount on my Verizon Account. Yesterday(Friday 10/7/22) was the first day I could actually order the phone. Verizon employees aren't allowed to order new iPhones for the first couple weeks so that customers get served first. So since my account still has a Verizon employee discount, I have been unable to preorder until yesterday. Anyway. Hire better people. Drove to this location because I knew it was a corporate location(they are generally more knowledgeable and have more "power"). But damn. I've been waiting until I'm eligible to order the new iPhone, was thinking I'd finally get that done this morning. But nope, guess I'll just do it online? Maybe Verizon employees no longer sell/order phones in stores? What do y'all get paid to do? When I worked their, the commission was pretty solid, especially on a $1,400+ device. read more

Extremely rude customer service. Was just in there (3/17/23) to get an upgrade for my mothers phone. Was greeted by a tall lady with a brown ponytail who finally greeted me and took my info about 3 minutes after being in the store. Then I was told to wait as she went back to deal with someone (which didn't sound business related ...). Standing there I noticed another sales rep was opening and sorting boxes. Paid us no mind but inventory restock is important so I'll excuse that. Then when my Mother asked the young AA male was he going to sort cords and he said yes. Then told her someone would be out to help. Really? Tangling cords instead of being helping a customer? Wow. No mind. Went up the street got money off my bill and $800 off my phone. The manager here is so unbelievably condescending. Firstly he kept saying how bad the phones under $500 are and how he would NEVER buy one because of how cheap they are... so he pretty much tried to talk us out of buying the phone we want because he thinks he is too good for it and he has no idea how we could ever want it! He then continued to say how wrong we are and how right he is. It's really wild how he even landed a job in customer service. To make our experience worse, the store did not activate our new phone and when we drove all the way back because it wasn't working he insisted that it was because we put in the wrong code, when we know for a fact we did not... 10 minutes later he found out that the phone was never activated by the person who sold us the damn thing! Placed two orders a few hours before they closed at 7, according to their website, on Friday night. I get a call from the store at 5:30 and it is David saying they are actually closing early at 6 instead of 7 so I should come pick my order up. I get to the store around 5:40 one of my orders is ready, the second still says processing. Micheal (or maybe Chris) I think is the name of the guy who told me in the store the order wouldn't be ready in 20 minutes, try again in the morning. No worries, I thank them for getting my first phone ready for me quickly and giving me the heads up about them closing early for the day, I tell them I will just come back tomorrow, Saturday, to pick up my other phone. Micheal says that sounds good, and agreed with me that I would do best to just wait and come back in the morning. I get to the store Saturday morning and they have a special shutdown for Saturday and Sunday. Why the f&@! did they not tell me that they were going to be closed for the entire weekend? I would have been fine if they told me Friday night "Hey man we are closing early for the day and we are actually closing for the entire weekend, u can pick your order up Monday" instead they just told me to come back in the morning knowing damn well they would be closed for the entire weekend. I am a new Verizon customer and I was hopeful they would have better customer service then my previous Carrier but nope. Same shit different cell phone provider. I will be back on Monday to get my phone (hopefully) but that will be the last time I go to that store. Stay true to the hours posted on the door of your establishment, or at least let people know if you are going to be closing for two days that you are normally open for. read more

My iPhone was not reading the SIM card. When I arrived at this location, the staff was waiting outside, due to coronavirus. They inserted a new card and it did not work. If I could give them 0 stars I would.... Right when we got there they made us wait a few minutes just standing there. And one of the sales person to open the door say to just wait till one was ready but he was just standing there. Even though he was a sales person as well and didn't do anything the whole time we were there except for laughing and talking to one of the other guys. We finally got some help from some guy in glasses (his name might be micheal) he was no help he look up the phone number to the line and said it wasn't on there then tried to tell us it wasn't so the we called the person who the main user on the line. And asked her just in case and she did call customer service but this guy said no and didn't even look them we handed him the phone we were going to put it down on the counter but he grabbed the phone (not following covid-19 guide lines) and start to slightly argue with the person on the phone. And at this point gave us the phone back and then decided to that we need to put the name but not telling us how or being helpful and giving us customer service number nothing and proceed to walk over the group of guys and look at us and laugh while talking and then decided to answer a call We had left and went a different one and they were way more helpful then this place ever was. read more

One single question and i told the guy that helped me that and he was like okay go for it but they two guys in the back were sitting there talking about how they wanted to go home so loud and were staring at me and my friends while they were saying like um no thank you i want to go home which was really rude. and then i asked the guy how much it would cost to upgrade my phone and he looked it up and told me im not an account manager so i couldnt even know? and then i asked him what if my dad doesn't make me an account manager and he said, " your dad can make a phone call obviously and make you an account manager" which didn't even answer my question and left me more angry than anything because he was super rude about how he explained it. so if you wanna get treated like a 4 year old and get condescendingly scolded then come to this location read more
