I normally don't like doing bad reviews of businesses, but I had a frustrating experience here. One…read moreof their new reps (Chad or Craig or something totally different), promised me that RCA cable to HDMI adapter would work for my component cables that were all ready coming out of the walls. Against my better judgment I decided to try it. (This was admittedly my fault for believing him, however it would be good to have somewhat knowledgable staff on the floor or at least to not be so sure it would work if they were not 100%). Anyway, after it didn't work, I took it back to the store, but they would not accept it as it was a couple days after the 30 day return policy. I understand the need for 30 day policy for electronic items for sure, however I felt this was a bit different since their employee repeatedly told me it would work for my needs. I had all packaging and receipts, and would have even been good with store credit, but they were unwilling to do anything for me. I will not shop here again and would warn others to not trust the staff if you have any questions on anything.

My refrigerator quit working on a Sunday morning at about 8am. I am fairly technically inclined and…read morelooked into fixing it myself. I found that a fuse on the circuit board had blown and so I started to search for where I could get one on a Sunday morning. Lowes...nope, Home Depot....nope, ace hardware....nope. It had seemed that all the food in my refrigerator was going to spoil. I did a little searching around and found that my local radio shack had 23 in stock! Yes!!! I went into the store about 20 minutes after they had opened and the two women working there were very nice and helped me find exactly what I needed. The inside of the store was clean and well organized. The store has definitely become more based around cell phones and their accessories, but It was nice to see they still had the parts that made them who they are. Thanks radio shack for saving the day! I will return to the store in the future for my electronic needs!

SHADY PRACTICES AND AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE…read more They gave a $299 quote for a repair on my phone, they said that they charge a non-refundable diagnostic fee of $50 NO MATTER IF THEY ARE ABLE TO DO THE REPAIR OR NOT. Being desperate, I accepted under the front desk's assurance that my phone is "probably" going to be fixed, and this is a just in case thing. Sure enough, they hold my phone for 3 days with no news. On the fourth day, I get a message saying 'come pick your phone up, we can't fix it because we can't find the faulty part'. I ask for information about the faulty part, and they give me none. Moreover the lady at the front desk has the audacity to act exasperated and condescending when I ask for information about which part exactly is broken, and acts as if I'm being rude and unreasonable for asking for my money's worth on the diagnostics. She lies and tells me the part is not available in the US, when it is available everywhere online. I suspect that they ruined something else on my phone and didn't want to fix it because of that, so I'll be using another repair service to see if that's the case. The positive reviews are probably fake accounts from China, don't trust them.
