I went in to purchase two phones and set up service, and from the very beginning, his knowledge, professionalism, and customer service were outstanding. A few hours later, I had an issue with my backup, so I called him, and once again he was more than willing to help. He even stayed after hours to make sure everything was resolved. I visited this Verizon store around 9:30 a.m. on June 12, and unfortunately had a very negative customer service experience with the only female employee working at the time. From the moment I walked in, I was met with an unfriendly attitude. She told me someone would be with me shortly, which was perfectly fine, but when I chose to stand off to the side while waiting instead of sitting down, she looked at me and said, "You can go sit down somewhere, you don't need to just stand there," in a way that came across as rude and dismissive. I calmly responded that I preferred to stand, as I wasn't bothering anyone and wasn't trying to rush the staff. There was no reason for the interaction to become uncomfortable, yet I felt like I was being spoken to with unnecessary attitude simply for waiting quietly. Customer service should make people feel welcome, not judged or disrespected. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed by the way I was treated. I hope management reviews this incident and reminds employees that professionalism and courtesy are expected, even during busy times. read more

I don't leave negative reviews, and I have been a Verizon customer for 18 years. When I went into the store today to ask a question, the "attitude" and insults I received from the store manager, Lawrence, were completely out of line. He was rude...not helpful...and argumentative. He said I "redeemed" a gift card that I HAD NOT redeemed--because I never received it. He was uninterested in helping me with a billing issue because I was not purchasing services which would warrant a commission for him. Lawrence was unprofessional with a confrontational tone and attitude. Shame on you, Verizon. And Lawrence needs an attitude adjustment. He lacks skills, information, professionalism, and complete knowledge to help Verizon customers and manage a store. The issue is two management members were just on the sales floor chatting and doing nothing while two other people handled all of the customers. Their in-store "customer service" solidified my decision to swap over to T-Mobile. I've been a Verizon customer for 15 years and up until recently, had no issues. I went into the store to upgrade and to actually speak to someone in person about the issues I've had. That's when I was interrupted by the employee, who told me not to voice my displeasure at Verizon's service in the store. Stephen is my hero, this review is based on my most recent experience at Verizon. Due to an unfortunate circumstance I headed to Verizon to update my phone plan. Stephen greeted me at the door and asked questions to help offer a resolution to my problem. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes (I luckily caught this place during an off time) and left a happy customer. Stephen has been in the industry for years and really knows his stuff, he gave me a business card for future visits so I could schedule an appointment to avoid a wait. Horrible experience. Went in for a new phone. Zero help. I'm sure some employees are more helpful than others but we ending up walking out - she mumbled with mask on, kept scrolling through her pad but telling us nothing. We kept having to tell her what we thought she was saying to see if we understood correctly . All she did for us was make us feel incompetent until we both became so annoyed we walked out. This is the same complaint that my wife will submit to the Verizon HQ. My husband is a Disabled Veteran in the state of North Carolina, and tonight we visited the Fuquay-Varina Verizon Store (Zip code 27526), only to be criticized that he was not allowed to park in the disability parking spot by an older white female Verizon employee. When my husband asked why he was being questioned when he had a legal disability plate, she said that he was not disabled nor did he have a blue placard plate displayed on his rear view mirror. My husband explained that he has a disability plate, but the explanation was ignored. To top off the insult, an older black gentleman (the security guard) walked around the vehicle to CONFIRM that he in fact had a disability plate. As a service provider, she refused to provide any services and showed complete incompetence in her skills as a Verizon employee. She refused to display the Ts/Cs, the account information (even after I was added as an Account Manager on the spot), and could not explain any of the questions my husband had inquired (e.g. what is the difference between a service fee and an activation fee, what are the sources of the costs associated with the account, et al.) We are completely flabbergasted and insulted by the gesture that the employee and the security guard displayed tonight toward my husband, his service to this country, and the incurred disability during his service. We request that the Verizon HQ / corporation take swift action toward these employees for removal of services and actually train employees who are willing to serve guests who've followed proper procedures to provide assistance to new and old customers of the Verizon franchise. 0 stars if possible. Remove the employees from ever contacting with any customers ever again. read more

I visit this location to purchase new phones every so often, but my most recent visit was for a billing issue. These are my thoughts and observations. - I don't usually wait in line and there's always someone at the door to greet me. - It's clean and spacious. - The employees are friendly, but their sales tactics bother me. They constantly pressure you to purchase things you don't need and make you justify your decisions to them. Some of them will be rude after your refusal. - They don't handle billing issues here. You have to go online and interact with the customer service bot to get those resolved. - A lot of their accessories aren't competitively priced and can be purchased online for less. Overall, this Verizon location would be fantastic if the employees weren't so pushy with their sales tactics. read more

Generally good customer service coming in the door. However if you have a problem expect poor customer service overall. This store seems to take advantage of seniors requesting simple phones. What should be a minimal plan turns out to be a data plan that will never be used. Secondly, if you buy or upgrade a phone and have a problem with the phone or dont like it, expect a $35 restocking fee. When asked if the fee could be waived, was told "we never waive those fees" - despite the phone was returned unused in an 18 hour period. When a manager was requested the employee completely disappeared and the manager was nowhere to be found. Simply overall poor customer service for a corporate store. Selection seems to be good. However, on-hand stock on our visit was hit or miss. My mother, a Verizon customer of over 8 years left the store in tears because she felt she was being taken advantage of fast talking sales people. Nobody at the store would listen to her or at least take her name and information to remedy her simple request. read more

Firs visit was great and Eric was very helpful. However, when he could not resolve problem due to phone support he scheduled us to return and complete our phone issues. When I returned Eric was not there and the technician said they could not do anything else for me and gave me a support number for phone manufacture. I asked why did they reschedule me another day and I had to drive 40 miles only to be turned away. The answer was well we cannot help you anymore. In reading the other two reviews I'm feeling a little guilty about posting my review however I've not had a bad experience in the half a dozen times I've been here. Is there a line when I get there? Usually. Verizon is a big company with the best network. I expect a line when I go. Are the benches sought after? Yes. Either wait your turn on the benches or walk around and risk the temptation to buy more stuff. It's a retail store. It's what they're supposed to do. Why didn't I give 5 star? I understand the couple's frustration from the earlier post. When I visited this store in the past I did not have any problems with the employees. I am disabled and have a heart condition. I showed up for my appointment on time and an employee came out from the store and did not explained appointment or wait time and just told me to get back in the car and someone might be with me within 30 to 35 minutes. I explained I have heart condition but didn't care. I call while in the parking lot and got better help from customer service on the phone than the employees from this store. I will not visit that store anymore and will conduct my business online in the future. read more

I came in yesterday morning with a 22 month old and my phone in a bag of rice because I had dropped it in my dog's water bowl a few hours prior. It was almost completely shot. Mills helped me right away and was so AMAZING. He took care of me completely and answered all my questions and got me the best deals and prices he could and dealt with my indecisive self. Everyone was so great with the 22 month old baby girl I had with me as well (I'm her nanny) and helped entertain her a bit while I couldn't. No one seemed to mind when she screeched like a fire alarm at one point either, gave us all heart attacks. I will always take my business to this location, specifically with Mills, when I can. I would do more than 5 stars if yelp would let me. read more

Wife's Moto E5 play was having trouble. Tried to resolve with SW updates and calls to Verizon. Took it to the Fuquay service center. Employee we spoke with was focused on selling us a new phone and plan instead of helping us with our 4 month old phone. Called Motorola ourselves and are returning the phone through the mail. Wife will be without phone for days. Verizon should have done better by us. Employee probably works off commission. Management should rethink their procedures. read more

My husband and I went there with an appointment. He is an existing customer and was looking to upgrade his phone, I am not a customer but was also in the market for a new phone and a Verizon phone plan. That feeling quickly left me once we arrived. Even though we explained what we were both there for the employee at the door informed us only one of us could come into the building (because of Covid). I have been a front-line employee since the beginning. I get it. I would understand if it was the capacity of the building but that wasn't it. I'm going to assume this is a Verizon policy. Only one person per household. They continued to accept other people walking up as long as it was one person at a time. I wasn't just there to tag along because I had nothing better to do. I wanted to be a customer. Instead I had to go sit in the car like a good little woman while my husband was allowed in. I'm not going to acquire a new bill into the household until I know the what's and why's. My husband and I talk about and come to conclusions together when it comes to how much money is going out every month for bills. The employee was very pushy about an unlimited plan. None of the phones we wanted were in stock in the store. There were special promotions on phones online but no promotions in store. It's like they don't want you to be there. The only thing we left with was a quote for a plan with two phone lines that turned out to be $20 more a month than what we are paying now with two separate plans through two different carriers. Also charging a $40 upgrade fee for my husbands already paid for phone. I thought that was for customers that wanted to upgrade before paying off the old phone. Thanks for at least making the decision for me. I didn't want a $1200 flagship phone or an overpriced plan anyways. My husband did in fact buy his new phone online and I will not return or be needing any Verizon services. read more

I have just got rejected for the last time through the insurance company provided by verizon, which is asurion and I was told this time that it wasn't submitted in time. Understand that I when I submitted the claim last year and was told that there was no record of use at that time. I am still paying for a phone which has not been in my possession since last year. The runaround that I am experiencing has become more than I can handle. The next correspondence will have to be with a lawyer because as good as the phone service is, the insurance is horrible. read more

We came in to make adjustments to our plan and Stephen was the sales rep that assisted us. We upgraded our plan to unlimited. While doing so Stephen never disclosed that we would be charged an additional one time fee for having the plan begin during a current billing cycle. We had to call customer service to correct the issue. If Stephen had explained this to us we would not have changed our plan until the end of our billing cycle. Very disappointed in his performance, not sure if he knew that would happen to us or just didn't care. read more

This review is not for this site specifically, it is for Verizon Wireless Corporate. I have been a customer of Verizon Wireless on my parents plan for over 13 years and have recently opened up my own account with Verizon which has been an absolute nightmare. I began this process in Jan. 2019 when the BOGO promotion was going on. I went into my local Verizon store in Fuquay Varina, NC and it took two hours to finally get through to an online customer service representative because I was having issues opening an account. The online rep said that they would extend the BOGO since I was having issues and this was the last day of the sale, they stated that it would be documented on my account for the next business day so I could go back to the store and get the BOGO for opening a new account. I go back to the store, purchase the phones without any issues, the sales rep at this store was great and answered all the questions I had. At this time it seemed like everything was going great. The second line that was added to my account was a previous AT&T member, who had to pay FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS to cancel his plan through AT&T in order to have his phone number transferred to Verizon. I was told that it would take 1-2 business cycles for the BOGO to kick in as well as the transferred number from AT&T. So, two to three months go by and I have been on the phone with a verizon rep every single day because suddenly there is no longer a note in the system stating that my plan is a BOGO and I should be getting $45 off of my bill every month. ALSO, my second line now has two phone numbers affiliated with it because supposedly the new iPhone X max was given an intern phone number. I was told if I go to my local Verizon store and get a new sim card the number issue would be resolved, IT DID NOT WORK. So several phone calls more to verizon I get told the same exact thing "give it 24 hours and it should be fixed". Then, once those 24 hours is over and it is not fixed (this happened three or four times) I call back and they simply tell me there is nothing that they can do but yet it was their fault because somewhere along the lines the new iPhone was given a new phone number internally (something I do not understand). After 5 months of this non-stop back and forth the other person on my account goes into a Verizon store as a very dissatisfied customer because in the midst of everything he has missed important phone calls from work, text messages from work and various other things while still paying over $200/month for a service that has done nothing but cause stress and has given us the go around. He goes to the Verizon store and they tell him they can order him a new phone which would take care of the issue, about three days goes by and the phone finally comes in and IT IS THE WRONG CELL PHONE. Yes, I understand that people make mistakes, but this has been an ongoing 6 month process and it has not had any improvement. So now, we are still waiting on a new cell phone, the current line STILL has 2 phone numbers attached to it meaning the individual is still missing phone calls, texts, etc. For all the years I was with Verizon on my parents plan I have never heard my mother complain so that is why I stayed with this company. However, I am by no means satisfied and I would not recommend this mobile carrier after the experiences I have been through. Still waiting on the new phone to come in so that we can see if the phone number issue will be fixed.... - A very dissatisfied customer. read more

Went in to get signed up for the military discount after my husband tried to do it online via verification email (military email, the security system blocked it, no surprise). They told me they wouldn't accept his active duty orders as proof of military service. Okay. Would take his ets, but he's still enlisted. Would take his ID, but he's not around, he's on orders out of state. All the while the guy at the store is telling me how easy it is, just have him go to the closest store (don't forget it has to be a corporate store, not every verizon does it). Even though he's away, on base, without a car (Like you can leave anytime you want). But yes please continue to tell (with an attitude) the military wife running the household by herself while her husband's away how easy it is to do this thing she really doesn't even have time for. I would call and complain to the manager but you can't call the store and get someone on the phone. If you're the manager reading this, don't let your staff talk to military people if they don't have military experience themselves. the ignorance towards hispanics at this store is immense. i came with my mother to get an upgrade/trade in for the iphone 12. The dominican/latino salesman (did not have a name tag so i don't even know his name), was absolutely disrespectful and unprofessional. In order to do the upgrade/trade in, he had to verify our accounts with proper identification. Instead of asking for MY identification, because my phone upgrade is under my OWN account, he asked for my mothers. She wasn't getting the upgrade so why even ask her? Her only form of identification was her mexican passport that was ISSUED HERE IN RALEIGH at the Mexican Consulate. It is a valid form of identification for immigrants living here in the United States. The dominican man proceeded to insist that it wasn't valid, that only an "American" passport would work. He even called the Consulate an "Embassy" which are TWO SEPARATE THINGS! Even though my mother wasn't the one getting an upgrade, he continued to belittle her VALID IDENTIFICATION. I was the one getting an upgrade so he should have check MY identification. Completely unprofessional and ignorant. Luckily I went to the Apex store and got my upgrade in under an hour :). His ignorance was not going to stop me from getting an upgrade! read more

I bought a phone 4 months ago and it was new I even have insurance on it ever since I bought the phone the chargers keep messing up so they kept telling me I need a new cord I bought 12 cords in 4 months then yesterday they look at the charger port on phone and say it has two broken prongs so I asked for a replacement phone and they tried to charge me 200 dollars for something that wasn't my fault and that has been like that since I got the phone i have called Verizon head quarters and insurance now i have to drive all the way to Raleigh to take my phone to an Apple store to get replaced.verizon didn't help me at all even when they charge me 400 every month for services and insurance but they can't help me when they mess up and sell a phone that had a default in it they said " we are just the phone carrier we don't make the phones we sell them" now I see what they think of there customers. read more
